CYC is an active member of Potomac River Yacht Clubs Association and Chesapeake Bay Yacht Clubs Association .
CYC has a full range of covered and open slips available for active members and transient vessels. Covered slips can accommodate boats up to 50 feet. Open slips can handle boats 70 feet or greater.

The Capital Yacht Club (CYC) is located at the heart of The Wharf . Established in 1892, we have a rich tradition of boating on the Washington Channel. Our clubhouse overlooks the club docks providing monumental views, a relaxed atmosphere, and DC hospitality. Come join us as a member or visiting boater and get to know this unique community on DC’s vibrant Southwest Waterfront.

2024 J/24 Worlds - Seattle WA
September 28th - October 5th 2024
The Corinthian Yacht Club of Seattle and the Port of Seattle welcome you to Washington state and the beautiful Puget Sound for the 2024 J/24 World Championship presented by Beecher's Handmade Cheese!
The event’s debut in the Pacific Northwest will pair world class racing with one of the most unique and popular sailing venues in North America. In addition to racing, the event will include a number of Northwest themed social functions including a unique Opening Ceremony, can't miss post-race refreshments and daily awards and a Closing Ceremony.
The Seattle Worlds will attract competitors from Europe, South America, North America, Australia, and Asia in addition to the United States and Canada.
The week of racing will see between 50–70 boats racing against each other on challenging courses set by renowned International Race Officer, Mark Foster. The regatta will see close-quarters, competitive racing with regional, national and international level sailors, along with many professional sailmakers fighting it out for the elusive title of 2024 J/24 World Champion.

Throughout the year, CYC holds numerous special events on the water and in the Clubhouse. Many are open to the public such as the MidWinter Regatta, Wooden Boat Show and Women's Sailing Seminar. On the water events include the Friday Night "beer can" races during the season, and a schedule of club regattas throughout the summer and early fall.
