This 76-foot luxury catamaran, constructed by renowned yacht builders Matrix Yachts, is a marvel of nautical engineering, customised to withstand the unpredictable weather conditions of the Cape and designed to host corporate events, special occasions, and private functions.

Indulge your mind, body, and soul in the most exhilarating sailing experience aboard the Mirage, offering unrivalled spaciousness, elegance, and five-star service. This spectacular addition to the V&A Waterfront is a true symbol of excellence, providing gourmet dining and ultimate relaxation in a spacious galley and two large stainless outdoor grills prepared to perfection by a private chef.

The Mirage Catamaran is the perfect platform for weddings, private events, and parties, accommodating up to 130 pax, including caterers, DJs, and entertainers. However, the actual number of guests may vary depending on the type of event, as extra staff such as first aiders, lifeguards, bouncers, and crew may be required. You can rely on a total number of 115 pax of your guests to have an unforgettable sailing experience aboard the Mirage Catamaran.

Upon your arrival, our fully trained crew and stewardesses will be there to welcome you, and to enhance your experience, we'll be presenting you with a welcoming MCC/Prosecco or sparkling juice. In addition to this, the Mirage offers the following amenities:

The Mirage features a fully stocked bar on board where guests can pay either in cash or by deposit prior to the charter. For those summer cocktails, we can even hire a slushy machine! Please refer to the attached list for the available drinks.

We kindly ask that guests refrain from bringing their own drinks on board under any circumstance. However, if there is a specific drink not on the list, the boat will arrange it for you.

Please note that sponsors of beers or wines will incur a corkage fee of R5,000 (maximum of 20 bottles of wine and 120 beers allowed).

We highly recommend canapé style catering, and we would be delighted to assist you in finding the perfect chef or catering company that can cater to your specific requirements. Please refer to the attached sample menu for your convenience.

Please note that guests are strictly prohibited from bringing their own catering under any circumstance.

Service fee:

A 15% service charge is charged on the food and drinks which is dispersed to the crew.

For all charters of 60+ guests, a mandatory service of security is required.

DJ / Entertainer:

The Mirage is equipped with an onboard sound system that has USB and Bluetooth connections, making it easy for you to play your own music.

In the event that you wish to provide your own DJ, they can use the onboard equipment (CDJs 2000 & speakers), and the fee for the first 6 hours is approximately R9,500, with an additional charge of R2,000 per hour thereafter.

If you prefer to have a DJ provided by us, the rate starts at approximately R9,500 for the first 6 hours (varying depending on the event), with an additional charge of R2,000 per hour thereafter. DJ hire for up to a 4-hour charter is charged at R3,250. Additional rates may apply for extended periods, and we will be happy to provide you with a quote.

Water toys:

We are pleased to offer the use of our floating pool, water slide, and SUP boards for charters lasting 4 hours or longer.

Lifesavers:

If you have a larger group that will be participating in water sports, we can arrange to have lifeguards on board for added safety.

Relax and spread out on the Mirage's spacious double deck configuration. The bridge deck level boasts a vast saloon area, while the upper deck features an expansive flybridge with VIP seating for 61 passengers, unobstructed views of Cape Town's stunning vistas, and a second bar for ultimate convenience and service. With seating for up to 52 guests, the large contemporary bar and huge open area on the deck are perfect for dancing, entertainment, and socializing.

Inside, enjoy complete comfort with three luxuriously fitted bathrooms accessible via stairs leading into the hulls from the saloon. Indulge in gourmet cuisine prepared on board in the fully equipped commercial-grade kitchen or on the two large stainless steel outdoor grills on the aft deck.

Bask in the warm African sun on the catamaran's front netting and trampoline area or relax on tailor-made decking, perfectly designed to host weddings, live entertainment, and special occasions. Semi-enclosed saloon and flybridge awnings provide protection from the varied weather conditions, allowing you to enjoy a premier sailing experience regardless of the weather.

The show was top drawer - world class - and the service, gin-tasting etc just fantastic. Oh yes, and the cruise to Clifton beach was perfect - calm and beautiful sunset. We were early and the crew member took our tickets and we boarded. Because we were early we chose nice seats. The boat filled up quickly and then the crew found that our group were on the wrong boat. We were not impressed because they checked our ticket when we boarded and didn't pick up the problem. After rushing to the right boat through a busy waterfront filled with shoppers and visitors we finally boarded an already full boat but we were given good seats by one of the crew. The Une Belle Vie left the Harbour and what an amazing fun filled cruise it was. The water was choppy at first becoming calm later and we enjoyed every minute of the cruise. The crew checked on the passengers all the time and were all very friendly. Alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks were served during the cruise. The passengers were all in good spirit and I think everyone enjoyed the cruise. One thing I would recommend is that the passengers are given equal photo opportunities. Everyone want pics with Table mountain and the sea in the background but some passengers monopolized these opportunities all evening. Besides this I would highly recommend the Une Belle Vie. They will take pictures of you all day long, the music on the boat was lit, we had a party on the water literally. Would have been nice to set sail away from the harbour though, it was a wonderful experience thanks to the crew and I will definitely go on the cruise next time I'm at the V&A. Although the yacht could not go out into the ocean, due to 95km winds, the party was in no way minimised. Awesome Wilderer gin tasting. The Covid-19 Safety protocols were in place, so no one was put at risk. The artists were talented and gave us a show to remember. The DJ played great music. The crew was professional, friendly and just excellent! They took every opportunity to make one feel welcome. It's a thumbs up all the way from myself, my husband and my cousins who also joined. A very special mention is Warren Pearce who was awesome all the way through the booking process till meeting him on the yacht. I've had this tour booked in August, but I came to my place of meeting and no one was there so phoned one of the phones and guy picked up to I form me a trip was cancelled due to bad weather. I had no one informing me about it prior. He told me a refund would be issued. On trip advisor it said that the trip did happen. I've messaged a tour operator on trip advisor multiple times but nobody ever rewievd my messages. So 3 weeks later still no refund ive contacted that same guy on WhatsApp again he asked me if I'm coming back to Cape Town next year so he can issue me a ticket free of charge. I said I'd like a refund as Im not coming back. He then said a refund will be processed and asked for my email to cc me the refund. So I've had no refund or any emails for another month. End of September I messaged him again and he said my refund has been done and he doesn't know why I haven't received it. He asked me to text on trip advisor but I can no longer do that because its been over a month since the trip. Cruise Information

Maximum capacity of 130 pax (including crew, caterers, DJ etc.) 118 pax is recommended.

Table Bay and surrounding areas and routing is weather dependent.

Cruise time and its course will depend on both weather conditions and the discretion of the skipper. The safety of you and your guests will always be our primary priority.

What to Wear:

We recommend to bring along and wear a windbreaker jacket, non-deck marking shoes such as trainers or dock shoes and no black soles, sunglasses, and sun lotion. Base your attire on the event from casual to formal.

• Crew and stewardesses. A fully trained crew and stewardesses will meet you on arrival and will present you with a welcoming MCC/Prosecco or sparkling juice.
• Bar service. Available onboard where guests can either pay cash or pay a deposit before the charter. We can hire a slushy machine for those summer cocktails (beverage list available). Please note that we do not have cocktail glasses, large bar fridge, and ice.
• Water toys. For charters 4 hours and longer we offer the use of our floating pool, water slide, and SUPS.
• Lifesavers. For larger groups involved in water sports, we can arrange for lifesavers to be on board.
• 3x large toilet facilities
• Exclusive use of the yacht
• Catering. We recommend a canapé style of catering. We can assist with finding the perfect chef or catering company that can best suit your requirements (sample menu available). Otherwise, you can arrange your catering at no extra fee.
• DJ or Entertainer. We have numerous DJ on our supplier list, and we're more than happy to facilitate and arrange that for you. Details for Cape Town-based singer/Entertainer are available on request. Should you wish to supply your own there is a table on the flybridge for the DJ to put his/her equipment on. They will need to bring their equipment and speakers.

Cancellations

Cancellations made up to 48 hours after the time of the booking may be refunded in full upon request. Cancellations may be made up to 48 hours prior to any booking, however we will retain 20% of the cost of the booking to cover costs already incurred.

COST OF BIG MAC IN MOSCOW NOW TWICE AS BIG

McDonald's of Moscow has nearly doubled its hamburger prices and is now charging more than half an average day's wages for a Big Mac, the newspaper Izvestia reported.

The Moscow McDonald's business manager told Izvestia Monday that the price increase - from 3 rubles, 50 kopecks to 6 rubles, 95 kopecks - was necessary because of increases in the cost of meat and the flour for hamburger buns.At the official exchange rate, the new price for a Big Mac is equivalent to about $11.95, but at the more realistic official "tourist" rate it is $1.15 and at black market exchange rates it would be about 25-50 cents.

But since average monthly wages in the Soviet Union are about 250 rubles, with the new prices a Muscovite could easily spend a day's pay for a hamburger, french fries and a milkshake.

Since the McDonald's on Moscow's Gorky Street opened early this year, it has served an estimated 9 million people who wait in hourslong lines in all kinds of weather for Western fast food.
