Staniel Cay is tucked away in the Exumas; a string of 365 island and cays in the exotic Bahamas known for being the most remote the country has to offer. Staniel Cay sits directly south of the Bahamas’ capital city of Nassau about 75 miles and nearly 250 miles southeast of Florida.

Staniel Cay Yacht Club is full of entertainment. It has a full-service restaurant which is a great place to grab a bite to eat for lunch on your day trip. There is a bar with a solid ambiance for a drink to cap-off a great day trip, and also the best place for boat rental should you choose to tour the surrounding area on your own. If on a multi-day trip, there is also a few cottages available for a night’s stay and nearby hotels for more options.

Note that most food served at the yacht club is focused around a seafood diet – go figure. All food is served fresh from the morning’s catch and you can also buy from the fishermen at the dock in the afternoon. The most popular lunch/dinner option is the lobster tail and for good reason.

History of the Staniel Cay Yacht Club Bahamas

Since 1956, the Staniel Cay Yacht Club has been making a name for itself all over the Staniel Cay community and within the Bahamas. It has truly become a stable of any Exuma Cays visit and acts as a hub to all Exuma tourism.

Over the years, it has been completed with 14 bungalows (all with private terraces), a private airstrip (the only one in the area), an entertaining clubhouse with a bar/restaurant, and its impressive 18-slip marina – making a name for itself throughout the yachting community.

We still serve dinner as we have since our inception in 1956, in traditional Bahamian style.  Reservations Required.  Entree pricing includes soup, salad, entree and dessert.
