A clubhouse built on history, built from okanagan lake's original ferry.

In 1962, thirteen enthusiastic boaters gathered to form the Westbank Yacht Club. On New Years Day in 1965 the M.V. Pendozi sank at the C.N. wharf in Kelowna. The idea came to Past Commodore Alan McLeod that this troublesome vessel would make an ideal clubhouse. Once the vessel was raised, Mayor Parkinson took the offer to council and on February 8, 1965 the city donated the M.V Pendozi to the Westbank Yacht Club.

The Kelowna Yacht Club is currently accepting applications for Regular, Junior, Intermediate, and Corporate memberships. A limited number of moorage slips are also available for vessels under 28′. To start the application process, please complete our Inquiry Form here.

Our highly sought-after Lifestyle Memberships are currently at capacity and applications are only accepted as vacancies of these memberships occur. To receive updates and to be notified when openings occur, please complete our Inquiry Form here.

Get the full club experience.

Enjoy full clubhouse privileges for you and your spouse. Our Regular Members are eligible to hold a moorage slip in our secure facilities and hold voting privileges.

One-time Initiation Fee: $11,000 (Can be split into 2 installments)

*Includes a $500 prepaid house account (MHA) ^Offering prorated dues for your first membership year, contact us for current rates

You don’t need to be a boater to enjoy the club. Lifestyle (social) memberships are designed for those who want to enjoy the facility, special events, and dining with an amazing view. On-the-dock kayak and paddleboard storage are available to get you out on the water, either on your own paddle vessel or a rental from the Club.

Enjoy full clubhouse privileges for up to six designated members from your business. Corporate memberships are eligible to hold one moorage slip and showcase your business on the docks with a corporate plaque. This membership is designed for social and active 19 to 29 year olds. Whether you’re looking to enjoy the patio with friends and family, or race in a regatta across Okanagan Lake, there’s a whole lot of fun to be had at the club.
