Robbie William s is currently living his very best life while on a family holiday in Turkey.

The 47-year-old music icon showed off his diving skills on Sunday as he effortlessly jumped into the glistening blue ocean alongside his wife, Ayda Field, 42.

The former Take That singer looked cheerful as he pranced about the luxurious yacht while showing off his impressive collection of tattoos on his bare chest and arms.

Robbie also showcased his colourful personality by sporting a pair of daring sea-themed swimming shorts as he dived head-first into the water.

The proud dad-of-four appeared to be having a whale of a time as he laughed and giggled alongside his gorgeous family.

Former X Factor star Ayda also looked sensational in the snaps as she donned a neon green bikini which did wonders to accentuate her toned physique and rock-hard abs.

Following in her husband’s footsteps, the brunette beauty leapt from the Yacht deck into the crystal-clear water in a bid to cool off from the blazing sunshine.

Proving that she’s a bit of a professional, Ayda made sure to wear a pair of goggles before plunging into the deep waters.

The couple’s impressive display of their diving skills comes after Rock DJ hitmaker Robbie filmed himself giving his son, Charlton, 6, a brand-new hairstyle while he unveiled his hairdressing skills on the yacht.

Taking to Instagram , Robbie’s wife filmed the star getting busy with the clippers as he gave his little boy a matching Mohican hairstyle.

After showcasing the final look with Ayda’s Instagram followers, Robbie cheekily looked at the camera and said: “ Like father, like son.”

It comes after Robbie recently admitted that he chose to change up his tresses after his hair started to thin in recent years.

The singer explained: “ I am losing my hair, I am thinning. So, I thought, rather than fight against it, I should lean in. So I shaved it .”

Robbie and Ayda's latest holiday came after their recent Paris jaunt with their children, Theodora, 8, Charlton, 6, Colette, 2 and Beau, whom they welcomed last February.

Back in February, the clan also went skiing in Switzerland, after purchasing a ÂŁ24million mansion in the area.

Earlier this month, a truth about Robbie's mental health — and the real reason why he had to turn down £15m to host American Idol — came to light.

For three years, it transpires that Robbie was in the grips of agoraphobia.

The chart-topping singer may have an exuberant public persona but it has been hiding the debilitating disorder, that saw him "unable to leave the sofa for three years".

When he was at his lowest ebb, Robbie reportedly turned down American Idol because he "couldn't face the public".

Speaking about that time and his condition, Robbie told The Sun Online: "My career had gone stratospheric and taken me to Mars, and I needed some time to get my equilibrium back and get myself back together.

“It was my body and mind telling me I shouldn’t go anywhere, that I couldn’t do anything.

“It was telling me to just wait, so I literally just sat and waited."

Robbie revealed what it was like to be gripped by agoraphobia.

He continued: "I was agoraphobic from around 2006 to 2009. Those years were just spent wearing a cashmere kaftan, eating Kettle Chips, growing a beard and staying in."

Who Is Robbie Williams?

Born in England on February 13, 1974, Robbie Williams began his career in the boy band Take That. In 1997, he went solo with his album Life Thru a Lens .

Robbie Williams was born Robert Peter Williams on February 13, 1974, in Stoke-on-Trent, England. When he was 3 years old, his mother Janet divorced his father (entertainer Pete Conway). Growing up with his mother and stepsister, Sally, Williams rarely stayed out of trouble in school. He performed in local plays and spent school holidays with his father, watching him perform comedy acts. At 16, he was selling double glazing when his mother told him about an audition for a boy band. His rendition of Jason Donovan's "Nothing Can Divide Us" won him a spot alongside Gary Barlow, Mark Owen, Howard Donald and Jason Orange. The band was called Take That.

Professional Success

As a member of the boy band, Williams helped earn Take That six No. 1 singles and three No. 1 albums. But five years of living a squeaky-clean image turned out to be enough for the young singer, and at 21 he left the band. He kicked off his solo career by signing a contract with Chrysalis/EMI for over $1 million and singing a hit cover of George Michael's "Freedom."

His first solo album, Life Thru a Lens (1997) got a lukewarm reception from critics. But his single from it, "Angels," sold more than 800,000 copies and spent over three months in the top 10. Subsequent albums continued his winning streak: I've Been Expecting You (1998), Sing When You're Winning (2000), Swing When You're Winning (2001), Escapology (2002), Intensive Care (2005), Rudebox (2006), Reality Killed the Video Star (2009) and Take the Crown (2012). In the fall 2013, he released his sequel album Swing When You're Winning II , Swings Both Ways . He followed that in 2016 with the release of his eleventh studio album Heavy Entertainment Show .

In 2010, Williams reunited with Take That and recorded the highly successful album Progress . But less than a year later, reports emerged that he would be leaving the band again, leaving their concert tour in 2011. He has continued to tour in support of his latest albums.

Although the reunion was brief, he has said he'd be open to an official reunion in the future. Williams' success has made him the best-selling British solo artist in the United Kingdom, with over 70 million records sold worldwide. In 2004, he was inducted into the UK Music Hall of Fame.

Personal Life

In 2010, Williams married actress Ayda Field. The couple met in 1997 after Williams' second stint in rehab, and have two children, Theodora (b. 2012) and Charlton (b. 2014).

Robbie Williams’ 20 greatest songs – ranked!

As Williams releases XXV, an orchestral reworking of his greatest hits, we revisit the original songs in the versions you actually want to hear

20. Sensational (2016)

Williams is a far better lyricist than he has been given credit for. Tucked away on The Heavy Entertainment Show, Sensational is a witty, incisive skewering of the occasionally fraught relationship between artist and audience: “I love you ’cause you love me, and I wish that you could always stay. Now go away.”

19. Candy (2012)

Most of Williams’s oeuvre has improved with age – the quality of his big hits is easier to appreciate now that they are not omnipresent – but Candy, co-written with Gary Barlow, remains a guilty pleasure: it is almost wilfully cheesy and maddeningly catchy. As a piece of unrepentant bubblegum pop, it ticks every box.

18. Tripping (2005)

Tripping looks awful on paper: the lyrics include a quote commonly misattributed to Mahatma Gandhi, the sound is reggae-influenced – or at least reggae by way of the early 80s Clash. It is melodically subtle and downbeat – at least by Williams single standards – but curiously it works.

17. Motherfucker (2016)

Long before mental health became a hot topic in pop music, Williams was laying bare his struggles in song. Motherfucker is the most startling of the lot: addressed to his children, it details generations of illness they might inherit: “I’d like to sing a song that says that you’ll be fine, but … I’d be lying.”

16. Morning Sun (2009)

Williams subsequently took to deriding the Trevor Horn-produced Reality Killed the Video Star as “half-arsed” and dubbing it Let Me Underwhelm You, but its opening track is great. Lovely melody, grandiose orchestration, lyrics that – typically – fret about reviews and star ratings and Williams’ own ambition: “All I wanted was the world.”

15. Let Love Be Your Energy (2000)

An infinitely more convincing take on Beatle-influenced alt-rock than the pallid Oasis-isms of 1997’s Old Before I Die and Lazy Days, Let Love Be Your Energy barrels confidently out of the speakers, a killer song atop wall of distorted guitars, its arrangement decorated with nods to I Am the Walrus and Penny Lane.

14. She’s Madonna (2006)

It would be lovely to retrospectively claim that Rudebox – the album that ended Williams’ imperial phase at a stroke – is a lost left-field pop masterpiece, but it still sounds confused and patchy: the product of an artist who wants to do something different but hasn’t worked out what. Still, the good bits are great, not least this witty, Kraftwerk-y Pet Shop Boys collaboration.

13. Go Gentle (2013)

Amid the camp jokes and Great American Songbook standards on Swings Both Ways lurked Go Gentle, a beautifully understated paean to his daughter, audibly influenced not by the swing era, but the sound of grownup, late-60s LA pop – Harry Nilsson, Jimmy Webb-era Glen Campbell.

12. Rock DJ (2000)

You got the feeling that Williams, a fan of Ian Dury, saw Rock DJ as his tribute to the Blockheads’ disco-influenced hits: here, the backing comes from Barry White’s mid-tempo It’s Ecstasy When You Lay Down Next to Me, while the rhythm of lyrics is audibly inspired by the Blockheads’ Reasons to Be Cheerful (Part 3).

Robbie Williams performing in Hong Kong in 2001.

11. Feel (2002)

The sound of a man on top of the world – the accompanying Escapology album went platinum in more than 14 countries – protesting “I’m not sure I understand the role that I’ve been given”, the resolutely downcast lyrics rubbing against the tune’s soaring, orchestra-assisted uplift.

10. She’s the One (1998)

“He nicked my pig and killed it, but he gave me enough bacon to live off for four years,” said World Party’s Karl Wallinger after Williams covered his 1997 album track. It’s a great song, but Williams’s less fragile, less Beatles-y take turned it into the kind of single that goes platinum.

9. Let Me Entertain You (1997)

Long established as Williams’s set-opening theme song, it is easy to overlook the fact that Let Me Entertain You’s lyrics aren’t about the singer’s needy desire for an audience: they are a genuinely witty drawing of a man desperately trying to talk someone into bed. Bizarre but true fact: it began life as, of all things, a drum’n’bass track.

8. No Regrets (1998)

Williams spent his early solo career spitting bile at his former Take That bandmates in interviews, but while his musical summation of their split has the odd barbed line, its overall tone is not bitter so much as crestfallen and, well, regretful: it sounds like a sigh, haunted by what might have been.

7. Lovelight (2006)

A highlight amid the mess of Rudebox, the Mark Ronson-produced Lovelight is not just a fantastic song, but a weirdly prescient one. Sixteen years on, its falsetto-vocal and blend of Daft Punk electronics with super-smooth yacht-rock-y disco sounds very now: frankly, if Harry Styles released it tomorrow, we would never hear the end of it.

6. Supreme (2000)

Prime evidence for how good the Robbie Williams/Guy Chambers songwriting team was at its best, Supreme has a gorgeous chanson-inspired melody; the way it teases its passing similarity to Gloria Gaynor’s I Will Survive in the lyrics before finally letting rip with a string sample from the 1979 hit is inspired.

5. Angels (1997)

Angels was so ubiquitous for so long that it is almost impossible for anyone of a certain age to listen to it objectively: throughout the late 90s and 00s, it wasn’t so much a song as an unavoidable fact of daily life. Most pop songwriters would kill to come up with something with such impact and longevity.

Robbie Williams performs Angels at a Soccer Aid for Unicef event at the London Stadium in June.

4. Advertising Space (2005)

Intensive Care, Williams’s first album without Chambers, is sorely underrated. Co-written by 80s pop star turned cult folk-rocker Stephen Duffy, Advertising Space is a ballad as good as anything the singer ever recorded: an emotive, epic meditation on the death of Elvis and the strained relationship between art and commerce.

3. Kids (2000)

If Williams had a penchant for complex, racked examinations of his career and his psyche, he was also more than capable of coming up with utterly uncomplicated balls-out pop: the entirely fantastic Kids packs a monster chorus, a guest appearance from Kylie and lyrics that cheerfully played on the media obsession with Williams’s sexuality.

2. Strong (1998)

In his heyday, Williams was frequently mocked as an eager-to-please light entertainer, which now seems unfair: here was a huge British star who was charismatic, outspoken, conflicted, his oeuvre packed with curiously meta hits. “This is real because I feel fake,” offers Strong, a song about weakness and self-doubt that sounds ready to take on the world.

1. Come Undone (2002)

“My main talent is turning trauma into something that looks showbizzy,” Williams told the Guardian in 2016: a perfect summation of Come Undone. Musically, it is a beautifully turned example of a 00s power ballad, gentle piano and acoustic guitar verses surging into immense, air-punch-inducing chorus. Lyrically, it is something else. Come Undone thrashes about, exploring Williams’s success in terms that are alternately defiant – “fuck you all” – and so self-loathing they could have come from the pen of Kurt Cobain: he variously describes himself as “full of shit”, a “corporate suit”, “a whore” and “scum” and informs his audience that “if I stop lying I’d just disappoint you”. A depiction of fame unravelling that is specifically designed to be a hit – it made the Top 5 – it’s an extraordinary song.

Pop Stars Made Millions From Russian Oligarchs. Now Some Have Regrets

Looking back on his years with everyone from the Replacements to Guns N’ Roses, Tommy Stinson admits he’s played some “strange places.” But a 2010 show with GN’R — a private gig in Moscow for a Russian energy company — still leaps out. “I can’t even believe we did it,” Stinson says. “It was like, ‘What the fuck are we doing here?’”

In light of the Kremlin’s invasion of Ukraine — and the global ostracization of Russia ’s most prominent moguls and biggest corporations — plenty of artists have begun asking themselves the same question.

For several decades, pop, rock, and now hip-hop acts have secretly pocketed hefty sums playing corporate and private parties in the States . Since at least the 2000s, a similar circuit has existed in Russia (or on overseas property owned by Russian businessmen). Dangling paychecks as much as seven figures, these Russian tycoons hired major acts — not only GN’R but Elton John , the Red Hot Chili Peppers, the Killers, Jennifer Lopez , Sting , Prince , Robbie Williams , and Amy Winehouse — for their weddings, corporate events, and galas.

Before the conflict, such shows were considered just another part of a high-profile act’s revenue stream. “We knew about them then,” says one source in the business, who estimates that about “two or three” oligarch-funded shows took place each year. “We knew the background and the wealth. It’s a take-the-money industry.”

Now, that money seems tainted.  New scrutiny is being applied to these high-living oligarchs who have made or maintained their fortunes under Vladimir Putin’s regime. Their bank accounts are being frozen. Their yachts are being seized. Several governments, including America’s, have set up special task forces to go after the oligarchs. The idea — controversial in foreign-policy circles — is to squeeze some of Russia’s most affluent, and that in turn, they’ll squeeze the Kremlin to stop the war.

That has refocused attention on the pop acts that played those private shows , which have become an even more sensitive topic than secret gigs in the U.S. “No one will talk about this,” says another industry source. Indeed, by way of representatives, all of the major artists and all of the Russian tycoons involved either declined comment or did not respond to requests for comment to Rolling Stone .

Editor’s picks

The 250 greatest guitarists of all time, the 500 greatest albums of all time, the 50 worst decisions in movie history, every awful thing trump has promised to do in a second term.

Even if no one is willing to discuss the matter, there is a lot to talk about. In 2005, Christina Aguilera reportedly pocketed $2 million to sing at the wedding of Russian billionaire Andrey Melnichenko. European Union sanctions led to the seizure of his half-billion dollar yacht , because the fertilizer and coal baron “belongs to the most influential circle of Russian businesspeople” — a circle that recently met with Putin to discuss the economic impact of Russia’s war in Ukraine, according to the EU’s March 2022 designation.

Two years later, George Michael was reportedly paid $3 million to play a New Year’s Eve show for Russian tycoon Vladimir Potanin, who is said to be the richest man in the country. (Unlike so many of his billionaire counterparts, Potanin has not yet been sanctioned by the U.S., UK, or European Union.) In 2008, Tina Turner and Deep Purple partook in a multi-act show celebrating the 15th anniversary of Gazprom, Russia’s state-owned energy company. (It was sanctioned by the U.S. Treasury Department earlier this year.) Putin attended the multi-act show, although reports vary as to how long he stayed for Deep Purple.

The 2010 Guns N’ Roses show, held at the Moscow movie-studio complex Mosfilm, was paid for by Alexander Chistyakov, then deputy chairman of the management board of the Federal Grid Company, Russia’s largest state-run transmission grid firm. “It couldn’t have felt more awkward,” says Stinson. “They were a bunch of drunken party people who were glad to have us play. I didn’t see any fucking gold-plated toilets, but I’m sure they were there somewhere.”

Even after Russia’s initial invasion of Ukraine in 2014, these secretive performances didn’t let up. In 2016, Sting and Lopez played separate sets at the Moscow wedding of Said Gutseriev , the son of sanctioned Russian billionaire oilman Mikhail Gutseriev. That wedding, which cost a reported roughly a billion dollars to put on, included a 12-feet-high wedding cake and a ballroom ceiling covered in flowers; as parting gifts, guests were given jewelry-encrusted boxes. During her set, Lopez half-joked that “the hardest thing I had to do today” was learn how to pronounce the names of the bride and groom.

Jennifer Lopez Quietly Cancels 7 Concerts From Upcoming Tour

Jennifer lopez must save mankind in teaser for sci-fi flick 'atlas', new netflix doc asks if putin restarted the cold war — or if it ever ended in the first place.

A year later, Elton John and Mariah Carey were the nuptial performers for a granddaughter of Russian billionaire Valery Kogan, who co-owns the Moscow Domodedovo Airport. (He, too, has not been currently sanctioned by Western authorities.)

Since the start of the war, a few musicians have admitted their involvement: “No oligarch in Britain, Russia, or anywhere else is in any position to book a gig, a wedding, or a party,” Sting recently said , referring to that wedding gig. “Those days are over.” After canceling an upcoming Russian concert, Deep Purple’s Roger Glover also announced, “Like many performers, we have occasionally performed private concerts for fans in various countries.”

Like a number of other Russian oligarchs , Roman Abramovich made his money in Russia’s chaotic post-Soviet years by buying privatized state assets at a discount and selling them for multiples of their purchase price — in his case, an oil company he bought in a reportedly “ rigged ” auction for $250 million and sold for $13 billion to the Russian government a decade later.

Abramovich has publicly kept Putin and the Kremlin at arm’s length as he amassed assets like the Chelsea Football Club. Western authorities say that’s a ruse. Abramovich has been able to retain his fortune and rather enrich himself, according to British and European Union authorities, due to his close relationship with Putin. EU sanctions describe him as “a Russian oligarch who has long and close ties” and “privileged access” to Putin and whose “connection with the Russian leader helped him to maintain his considerable wealth.” Britain’s sanctions designation detail “preferential treatment” afforded him by the Russian government. (Representatives for Ambramovich did not return emails from RS.)

Long before the Ukraine conflict, Abramovich forked over big money for pop stars to play full shows at his events. In 2009 he reportedly paid Amy Winehouse $2 million for an up-close show at the Garage, a Moscow art gallery owned by his then-partner Dasha Zuchova. (Winehouse, by all accounts, wasn’t in much of a condition to perform and put on a rambling show that started hours late.) A sign above the stage, which spelled out Winehouse’s name in gold lettering, was one hint of opulence to come.

The following year, Abramovich spent $90 million on a massive villa complex on the French Caribbean island of St. Barts. Soon after, he began throwing oversize New Year’s Eve parties, some complete with fireworks and tours of his massive yacht the Eclipse (with its multiple swimming pools and helipads and a submarine). Starting in the late 2000s, he lured Kings of Leon, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and the Killers with paydays that were at least six figures. (Paul McCartney also joined the Killers onstage at a 2017 New Year’s celebration for a rendition of “Helter Skelter.”) When Abramovich hired the Black Eyed Peas for New Year’s Eve 2010, he took over the entire waterfront of Gouverneur Beach, known for its gorgeous white sand. At the party where the Chili Peppers played, on New Year’s Eve 2012, guests were instructed to wear “island chic” and nibbled on caviar blinis and pancakes made with vodka and lemon-zest sauce.

One of Prince’s last performances, just a few months before he died, took place on Abramovich’s property on New Year’s Eve 2015. For reportedly around $1 million, Prince and 3rd Eye Girl played a long set of hits to a crowd that included Leonardo DiCaprio and George Lucas. (Past parties there reportedly also drew in David Geffen, Harvey Weinstein, and Ellen DeGeneres.) Patrice Abderrahman — a local chef whose company, Chef D’or St. Barth, has worked many elite events — still recalls the “beautiful silver cane” that belonged to Prince (who was suffering from a hip injury). “Abramovich makes very nice parties,” Abderrahman says. “He is very generous.”

In 2014, Abramovich also hosted Robbie Williams for a private show in Moscow, according to the hacked inbox of a top Putin political adviser. Vladislav Surkov served as a deputy prime minister to Putin and a close adviser to Putin on issues like Ukraine before the Russian president fired him in February 2020. Unnamed hackers reportedly broke into Surkov’s government email account and dumped the contents online in 2016.

The emails, reviewed by Rolling Stone , show an invitation from Abramovich inviting Surkov and his family to a private party in Moscow to ring in 2015. Robbie Williams and “other artists,” the invitation read, would perform for an intimate audience of 100 people, with fireworks to follow. After news of the performance leaked, Williams released a single about Russian oligarchs, “Party Like a Russian,” that appeared to be inspired by the incident.

According to a source in the event business, who asked to speak on condition of anonymity, the appeal of the Abramovich bashes wasn’t hard to fathom. “In this industry, various time wasters inquire about artists, or very wealthy people go as far as contracting and then pull out,” the source says. “But with Abramovich, you knew it was going to be a massive offer and that he was good for the money. It was secure. It was going to be easy and professional — a good deal for everyone involved.”

The source points to the money Abramovich has injected into countries where he owns businesses and properties — and the way in which the local governments looked the other way for years: “If you look at the artists and say, ‘Why would you perform for him?’ why wouldn’t they? Everyone else is taking the money.” That source also feels the situation overall could return to pre-Ukraine-war normal at some point: “I can’t guarantee it, but if the war was over and everyone forgets about it in five years’ time, it will probably be business as usual.”

For now, at least, artists are no longer taking that type of cash: The Ukraine war has made the thought of playing for oligarchs unpalatable. “We get inquiries for big names from some shadowy-looking folks in that region, and we just simply delete them,” says one leading events booker in the U.S. “It’s just not something to get involved in.” Adds a manager of several leading rock bands, “At this point, I wouldn’t be advising any of my clients to do Russian gigs. No matter what the money would be, it would be a terrible thing to do.”

“Playing for oligarchs and rich people is just fucking gross,” says Stinson. “That’s the only way I could put that.”

Back in 2008, Robbie splashed out on a personalised £8 million luxury yacht from Italian boat company Riva with his initials My RW engraved on the top. However, the star did not board the 115 foot-long Athena cruiser for his trip.

Elsewhere, Robbie completed a workout with weights in the boat's impressive gym as he gazed over the water, taking in the scenic views.

Ayda has been documenting their lavish break to social media. Later in the day, she slipped into a black bikini as she posed with a pal for another Instagram snap.

The couple's latest holiday posts come after they recently jetted off to Paris with their children, Theodora, 8, Charlton, 6, Colette, 2 and Beau, whom they welcomed last February.

The celebrity couple posed in the French capital last week with the Eiffel Tower visible in the background.

Robbie Williams has rubbed shoulders with a lot of celebrities over the years.

But for a lad from Stoke-on-Trent, perhaps one show-biz friendship is more surprising than the others.

For the 47-year-old - who grew up in Burslem and Tunstall - is also close pals with Royalty after striking up a special bond with Princess Beatrice.

In fact, it is understood to be another another fellow Stokie - billionaire Phones4U founder John Caudwell - who put the two in touch after inviting them both to stay on his luxury yacht in the Caribbean in 2011.

Robbie now reportedly sees Prince Andrew's daughter as a 'little sister' - and she has even visited his Beverly Hills home.

Beatrice's mum Sarah Ferguson brought the 33-year-old along for a trip to the ÂŁ10 million pad he shares with wife Ayda Field, and reports suggested they got along like a house on fire.

"Robbie gets on really well with Beatrice. He treats her like a little sister and looks after her. It’s really sweet," an insider told The Sun.

"A few of Robbie’s football pals were round the other week and Fergie was just wandering about in her robe.

"She came and said hello and was really charming."

Robbie has even given Beatrice an adorable nickname - 'sis'.

The source added that Robbie called Fergie an 'amazing woman'.

"Robbie likes having Fergie around and said she could stay as long as she liked," they said.

Robbie - who has a biological sister named Sally - is also firm pals with while Beatrice sister Princess Eugenie, 31.

His daughter Teddy was even chosen as a bridesmaid when Eugenie wed Jack Brooksbank.
