Producer Burberry Perry dropped a new song with actual-rapper Lil Yachty called Beautiful Day , which samples the Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood  theme song and "features" Jenner and her friends Justine Skye and Jordyn Woods.

Let's remember that Jenner is currently dating Tyga and has Kanye West as a brother-in-law, so her venturing into hip-hop was probably inevitable.

Kylie Jenner Makes Musical Debut on 'Beautiful Day'

Kylie Jenner steps to the mic. The “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” star appears on Burberry Perry’s “Beautiful Day,” a Mister Rogers-inspired single featuring Lil Yachty, Justine Skye, and Jordyn Woods.

“I’ve never been on a song before,” Jenner says on the track, which pulls its hook from the theme song for the classic children’s television show “Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood.”

“Beautiful Day” is a cut off Perry’s self-titled six-track mixtape released Wednesday (May 4). Listen to the Kylie collab below.

It’s a big week for Yachty, who also released his music video for “1 Night.” Directed by Glassface and Rahil Ashruff, the visual is an artistic exploration of the ocean filled with special effects, including clips of Jay Z, Beyoncé, Future, Ciara, emojis, and cats.

Beyond those two releases, Lil Boat is also teasing new material. In a W Magazine feature, the 18-year-old MC previews his new single “All In” and explains his intentions in this game: “I just want to be mainstream.”

Kylie Jenner Appears on a Rap Song With Lil Yachty and Burberry Perry

We’re a week into May and 2016 has already brought us a new Kendrick Lamar album , a powerful Beyonce project , Drake’s long-awaited Views and a Lil Yachty song featuring Kylie Jenner. One of these things doesn’t belong with the others.

Taking the chorus and sample from the famous theme song to Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood , Yachty puts his own explicit spin on the classic children’s show for “Beautiful Day.” Being that Boat is only 18 years old, kids who listen to his music are more likely to only know the track thanks to the rising rapper. 

Late into the song, Kylie Jenner makes her debut on wax. Aided by auto-tune, Jenner stumbles through her part as she lets everyone know she has “never been on a song before.” It shows.

Once Kylie finishes her brief appearance, Jordyn Woods and Justine Skye close out the song with the chorus. Not realizing that Jenner was only on the track for a few seconds, many listeners’ ears were raised when they heard “I wish a fuck nigga would” come from the speakers. Woods clarified on Twitter that it was her and Skye, not Jenner, using the word.

Earlier this week, Yachty dropped the video for “1 Night” and with a green screen behind him, the rapper and his crew put together an eccentric clip. With plenty of props and some digital alterations, Yachty brings the internet to life and gives a peek into what the future of hip-hop looks like.

Lil Yachty Admits His Song With Kylie Jenner Was Really Bad

Now, Lil Yachty is admitting that "Beautiful Day" is not his best work, and he didn't originally want the three girls to feature on the track.

"They wanted to do it and we weren't going to put them on there and they were like, 'You got to put us on there, you better put us on there,' so I was like okay," Lil Yachty revealed during an interview on The Breakfast Club radio show .

But Yachty isn't trying to throw shade. He's not saying anything Kylie (who he calls "his homie") doesn't already know. "They knew it was [terrible]," he said. "Everybody in the studio knew it was. It was like some fun stuff, it was joke."

Whether the song was terrible or not, it still has over 6 million plays on SoundCloud , so having Kylie on the track definitely wasn't the worst idea.

The good news is that Little Richard isn’t dying, but the same may not be possible for music. A decade ago, Nas declared hip hop dead, but even he didn’t imagine this. Over the past few years, the quality of music has indeed changed.

Recent names who have taken over the game, among them Tyga, and, more recently, Lil Yachty. The latter of these has really taken over the game, in recent weeks. His latest song samples Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood and pushes the envelope.

Honestly, “Beautiful Day,” which features Kylie Jenner in her music debut may be the worst song ever. The song also features Justine Skye and is offered by producer Burberry Perry. This record features Kylie Jenner dropping the N-bomb in addition to the musical atrocity.

Who Made the Godzilla Shoes That Stole the Show at the 2024 Oscars?

The claw-shaped heels come courtesy of Japanese brand Hazama.

Reptilian claws stomping down an awards show carpet sounds like a recipe for disaster that would send people running away screaming in terror. On this particular night, they were a welcome addition. The 96th Oscars  was full of memorable moments from Ryan Gosling's performance of "I'm Just Ken" to Al Pacino's anticlimactic-yet-incredible announcement of the biggest award of the night. But the biggest statement was made by a few pairs of black heels. We can't stop thinking about the shoes worn by some of the  Godzilla Minus One  crew.

Masaki Takahashi, Takashi Yamazaki, Kiyoko Shibuya, and Tatsuji Nojima wore a series of black dress shoes and pumps adorned with black PVC Godzilla claws at the heel. The designs are courtesy of Japanese designer Matsui Ryosuke's brand Hazama, which released a special collaboration inspired by the movie back in 2023. Sometimes it feels like looks on the carpets for major award shows are too safe. This is the type of thing we love to see.

Who Wore Them?

The viral shoes were worn by Takashi Yamazaki, Masaki Takahashi, Kiyoko Shibuya, and Tatsuji Nojima, the director and members of the visual effects team behind Godzilla Minus One.  Each member of the quartet also carried around their own Godzilla action figure throughout the entire night. Talk about commitment.

This isn't the first time that Yamazaki has worn the noteworthy shoes. He wore a pair with the zipper shroud and kaiju claw to the Critics Choice Awards in Los Angeles back in January 2024, but not as many people seemed to make note of it. That's the power of the Academy Awards I guess.

The best part, Godzilla Minus One took home the award for Best Visual Effects at the 96th Oscars. Clearly, this crew was passionate about what they made. Well deserved. 

So, Who Made Them?

These weren't some shoddy customs that these people put together in their hotel room the day before. These heels were actually created by Japanese designer Matsui Ryosuke. Their brand Hazama collaborated on a special capsule collection to celebrate the launch of Godzilla Minus One  in October 2023. Along with the footwear, there were also fragrances with claw-shaped caps, claw rings, and black jackets with Godzilla's face made out of sequins on the back. 

These unorthodox heels weren't just made for the film. They have actually become one of Hazama's signature offerings. Other heels are shaped like gun triggers , human hands, and mouths full of sharp teeth . If you are in need of a statement piece in your closet, look no further. 

Can I Buy Them?

Maybe. As of the time of writing this, the Godzilla-themed heels are not available for purchase. There are some similar alternatives available between ¥71,000-¥95,000 (app. $484-$646).

However, the Hazama designer has teased that a release might be coming in the near future. Following the viral moment at the 96th Oscars, Ryosuke took to X to leave a message to their new followers that roughly translates to: "We often see questions about where these Godzilla shoes are made and whether they are sold. About that, these shoes were produced by our brand. And there may still be sales opportunities. If you would like, could you please spread this information."

So, it looks like the ball is in the fans' court now. Spread the word. Hopefully, that encourages a restock. Imagine pulling up to your next formal engagement wearing a pair of these?
