British Marine’s in-house Technical team is engaged at every key level with the people setting the national and international agendas for boat construction and related standards. Their advice and regular updates are widely acknowledged as invaluable by members. Free technical reports, with a notional value of at least £400 annually, enable members to keep abreast of legislation changes. The team is also able to assist on a number of other important issues, such as health and safety, for which marine sector specific guidance and notes are available.

British Marine have constant postings of vacancies from its 1600 members for jobs in the leisure marine industry. From Boat building, apprenticeships, boat fitting, brokerage, design, engineering and marina staff to watersports instructors, on board staff, shipwrights, sailing instructors and skippers.

The Worshipful Company of Shipwrights Annual Lectures are presented to apprentices, young shipwrights, students and graduates by invited industry leaders.
