CARESSA K is a 36.7 m Motor Yacht, built in Turkey by RMK Marine and delivered in 2006.

Her top speed is 13.5 kn and she boasts a maximum range of 4500.0 nm when navigating at cruising speed, with power coming from two Caterpillar diesel engines. She can accommodate up to 11 guests, with 7 crew members waiting on their every need. She has a gross tonnage of 175.0 GT and a 8.53 m beam.

She was designed by Vripack , who also completed the naval architecture. Vripack has designed 35 yachts and created the naval architecture for 62 yachts for yachts above 24 metres.

Her interior was designed by Troy Design - she is built with a Teak deck, a Steel hull, and Aluminium and GRP superstructure.

CARESSA K is in the top 30% by LOA in the world. She is one of 1133 motor yachts in the 35-40m size range.

CARESSA K is currently sailing under the United Kingdom flag, the 4th most popular flag state for superyachts with a total of 900 yachts registered. The shipyard was founded in Halic, Istanbul to construct boats in steel, aluminium, and composite in 1978 joined the Koç Group of Companies in 1997 and was renamed RMK MARINE, is located in Tuzla. RMK MARINE specializes in building, repairing and maintenance of commercial, naval vessels and super yachts.  The shipyard was audited by the Ministry of National Defence and RINA (International Certification Company) for “Industrial Quality Assurance” to the requirements for AQAP 2110 and ISO 9001 certification for the management system and infrastructure for superyachts, military and commercial shipbuilding projects. RMK MARINE is the only private shipyard to have attained AQAP 2110. RMK MARINE has become an Internationally renowned signature brand by combining the meticulous working principals, which is very essential to build navy ships, and know-how into the aesthetical touch of superyacht construction. RMK MARINE is widely known in the realisation of prestigious and head-turning motor and sailing yachts. “Nazenin V”, built by RMK MARINE was awarded a Judges’ Special Commendation for “The Best Sailing Yacht over 45 Meters” at the “2010 World Superyacht Awards”, which is considered to be the “Academy Award” of global super yacht industry. The 45m super motor yacht “Karia” and the Oyster 100 Sailing Yacht Sarafin built at RMK MARINE have both honoured with the Judges Special Commendation prize at the World Superyacht Awards in 2012. Caressa K was one of the five winners of the prestigious Superyacht Design Award by the ISS (International Superyacht Society) for Powerboats 32-43m category in 2006. Designed by Naval Architects, Vripack Yachting International b.v. this elegantly styled trawler yacht is intended for long distance cruising with all of the comforts of fine living for the discerning owner. Refit, repair and restoration projects are one of the versatile expertise of RMK MARINE. By utilising its own resources such in-house joinery department, travel lifts and dedicated enclosed workshops, RMK MARINE has succesfully completed many comprehensive refits, repair and restoration projects, including 45 m super motor yacht “Keyla” which is honoured as the Best Rebuilt Superyacht by winning the "Neptune Award" at the "World Superyacht Awards" in 2014.

This new launch named Caressa K is from the Vri pak team and is 37 meters long. Almost all steel construction and touted as the largest Trawler yacht designed by them up untill now. She is interesting....she looks like a short Karima..

new RMK launch Cornelia RMK's recent launch is motor yacht Cornelia. She is a 34 meter yacht with 3 decks; no sundeck on top of the pilothouse. I had the chance to go through the yacht and I realized some shortcomings in the design. The air intakes and aircon units at the top deck occupy too much space and the outside dining table feels claustrophobic. Aft deck at main level has lost too much space to the entrance of the lazareth. Guest can access the sea through the lazareth and lazareth is occupied by several equipment; obstructing easy passage. Does anyone have any information on the Caressa K's predacessor Caress(?) again built by RMK. Pictures would be much appreciated...

As to my knowledge she is not built by RMK, but she was a Benetti, and still lying at Turkey Club Marina Gocek. I will check my files, not sure whether I have a picture or not.

The 45 m motor yacht KARIA launched by RMK Marine in 2011 has been nominated in an impressive 4 separate categories in the highly regarded ShowBoats Design Awards . Superyacht KARIA was designed by Ron Holland , featuring interior design by Design Unlimited . The beautiful yacht Karia has been nominated in Interior Design Award, Exterior Design & Styling, Recreational Space Designed for Guest use and InteriorLayout categories.

The ShowBoats Design Awards was specifically devised to judge and recognise the designers responsible for the individual elements of a superyacht. Aspects of the most impressive yachts launched in the preceding calendar year are scrutinised and judged by a panel of design experts.

RMK Marine is delighted with this nomination which follows on from the recent selection of superyacht Karia as a finalist from numerous nominations in the hotly contested World Superyacht Awards .

Designed for the experienced yacht owner for long distance voyaging, Karia has been built to extremely high quality and specifications with long term low maintenance as a priority requirement. Particular attention has been given to ensure an efficient and sea kindly hull design, low vibration and noise and exceptional interior volume for a 45m yacht.

There are a number of features that separate this yacht from many others. The 500GT sized yacht, has an exceptional use of space to maximise comfort with light, airy and versatile spaces for up to 12 guests. The owners are afforded plenty of privacy on the master deck and the yacht incorporates a swimming platform aft and 2 tenders stored under the foredeck. RMK4500 motor yacht Karia is also for sale and visitors have been tremendously impressed with the design, content and the quality of construction.

RMK Marine has previously won several awards for yachts built at the yard. The beautiful 52m ketch Nazenin V was honoured with the Judges Special Commendation prize at the World Superyacht Awards in 2010 and the Vripack designed motor yacht Caressa K also won an International Superyacht Society award in 2006.

RMK Marine stated, “ We are very proud that this beautiful yacht has been recognised in these categories and pleased that the judges also appreciated the superb quality and design of this elegant yacht” .

With the investments in its infrastructure and facilities as well as in its labour force RMK Marine has continued to raise the level of the Turkish superyacht construction industry. The winners of the 2012 awards will be announced during a glittering gala evening at the Monaco Opera House on June 22, in front of a VIP audience of yacht owners and industry professionals from around the globe.

Caressa K measures 37.71 metres in length, with a max draft of 2.36 metres and a beam of 8.48 metres.

Caressa K has a steel hull with a steel / aluminium superstructure.

Her exterior design, naval architecture and interior design is by Vripack.

Vripack is a professional design, engineering, naval architecture and brokerage firm that handles all aspects of the yacht building process. The Dutch-based company was established in 1961 and today counts many renowned international yards as its clients and works alongside other leading marine designers.
