Florida Yachting Season: mid-November through mid-July

Thanks to its sub-tropical climate, Florida yacht charters are perfect year-round. The high season for boat rentals runs from mid-November to mid-July, with peak season around New Year’s and Spring Break.

Winter draws more visitors to Florida’s sunny shores, while the shoulder seasons in fall and spring offer great weather and fewer tourists.

Cruising Conditions

South Florida’s sub-tropical climate is known for its mild winters and hot summers. In winter, cruising conditions are ideal. Cooling trade blow consistently, while temperatures hover in the mid-70s to low-80s. Winter in Miami also sees fewer days with rain than summer or early fall.

In spring and fall, temperatures are comfortable during the morning and evening but can climb into the mid-80s. The wind blows consistently, although rain is more frequent. From June through September, temperatures climb into the 90s, with higher humidity.

The cost to charter a yacht in Florida – prices for yacht charters in Florida vary depending on the size and type of the yacht as well as available amenities and features. For $22,000, you can charter a 75-foot motor yacht that sleeps six guests in three cabins, while $170,000 will get you a 144-foot superyacht that sleeps twelve guests and features an elevator.

Several factors come into play when considering the cost of charting a yacht in Florida, including the year that the boat was built, the builder, and the selection of water toys available.
