The Brant Beach Yacht Club is an excellent venue for a beach wedding. It has the combination of being on a beach, but also being extremely classy. The wedding was set up wonderfully as to not cause many of the problems with a normal beach wedding. It was set up so that only the bride, groom, rabbi, bridesmaids, and groomsman were actually in the sand. There were chairs set up in rows right next to the beach so that people could sit. They also provided speakers so that everyone could be heard. It was nice because the setting in the back was a beautiful blue sky and small waves coming up to the beach. It was also nice because guests could stand or sit on the deck of the yacht club if there wasn't enough space. The reception was wonderfully managed to. There was a huge dance floor and tables all around. There was a combination of tall, small bar tables with stools and normal round tables with many chairs so that people could interact in different ways. The food was all appetizers and buffet style. The staff did an excellent job keeping fresh food coming out all the time until people stopped eating as much, in which case they slowed down. The Yacht Club staff was very helpful in getting everything set up and ensuring that the event ran smoothly. The facilities were clean and the temperature was comfortable. People could sit inside or they could sit outside by the water and watch the sun set. It was a beautiful venue and I would recommend it to anyone who wanted to mold together a beach wedding, but also a formal wedding while maintaining an intimate environment.

Very nice place for a wedding they had 4:00 in the afternoon. Wedding was outside very nice and warm for May. The appetites were great rootbeer bacon and sliders open bar. The only bad thing about this place u go to the bathroom and leave a drink on table it would be gone come back that sucked.

So badly wanted to like BBYC.. unfortunately, a bad experience. We signed a contract with them about a year ago to hold up to 200 people for our wedding April 2021. In the Fall, we were told everything would work out just fine and our wedding will go on as planned. It wasn't until March (under 30 days) did we get written notice stating the club would not deliver the venue as planned. No if and or buts, we had to change our guest count completely or change our date (PS no Saturdays were available and they wanted us to change to dated that we were told we not even technically available yet). We had invited all our guest already and everything was in order. They gave us next to no notice about this which was unacceptable. I am perfectly understanding with Covid restrictions, but with almost ZERO communication with us until we were the ones to reach out, was incredibly ridiculous. They weren't even willing to allow us to have a full outside reception within the guidelines. I had to push for that. Unfortunately they gave us no choice but have to change our venue only a few weeks from our date. When we wanted to get our money back, the representative was told he can no longer speak with us and we had to speak to their attorney if we wanted to get our refund. I cannot recommend this venue to anyone because this experience was incredibly painful. We are lifelong LBI residents and felt like we were treated like we were just not important, a very good inkling tells me that BBYC simply did not want to host our wedding or pay for a tent to host it. Terrible experience, will never recommend. Also cloaked with a fake sense of genuineness while basically telling us to kick rocks. Bragged they are private and not 'technically' a venue so they could allow more, and then backtracked and said that's not true at all. These people are liars and frauds and will not notify you of any changes whatsoever. We would be beyond screwed if we never reached out for a last meeting. Beware if planning your wedding here - I instead recommend SCYC, LBI Foundation, Daymark.

Some friends of ours had a wedding here over the weekend and it was absolutely perfect. The Yacht Club is right on the water and has a mini beach right next to it as well. There is a large outdoor space and plenty of room indoors as well. There is a fireplace in one of the rooms and was very clean. There was about 100 guests for the wedding and everyone had plenty of space. The crew did a great job planning out the room because there was a live band for the wedding and everyone had plenty of room for dancing. The food was also very good for the wedding and it seemed that the staff was very accommodating. Well Done!

Lastly, the two creatively posed under Jenna’s veil with the bright orange colored clouds behind them. 

Bay-lieve it or Not

…we could go on and on about how gorgeous sunset weddings are at Brant Beach Yacht Club! As the outdoor scene is altogether magical, we know that the reception room is where the real party kicks off. First,  Ariel and David’s wedding celebration comes to our minds as we remember how amazing they incorporated their decorations in the stunning ballroom. For example, they had an adorable cupcake display with simple pink roses on each tier, which complemented their fun centerpieces. With just a peak at their photo gallery , you’ll totally be in the mood to start dancing!

Likewise, Brittany and Adrian did not miss out on any details for their wedding night. Before showing off their best dance moves on the packed dance floor, Brittany and Adrian  got ready separately with their wedding parties. Early on, they were preparing for all of their  Brant Beach Yacht Club wedding photos  to be taken for them to cherish forever! Their nautical-inspired decorations and navy tones were the perfect touches at a beachy venue like Brant Beach Yacht Club. Similarly, Allison and Matt decided on a nautical theme for their reception as well, represented in their cake, colors, and even favors.

Carter and Richard got married this past September at one of my all-time favorite venues, the Brant Beach Yacht Club in Brant Beach on LBI. A Brant Beach wedding is a great option for those who want a sandy beachy wedding and an amazing sunset. Carter and Richard had both! I worked with these two for over a year to plan the sweetest classic wedding. We worked really hard to design a wedding day that included everything they both wanted. Their wedding design included classic navy and white elements along with stunning florals from Lily in the Valley. All captured to perfection by Jocelyn, an associate photographer at Idalia Photography.

Some of my favorite moments from Carter and Richard’s wedding day involved their design and planning. Check out their arbor from Rustic Drift, omg. They were so much fun to work with and on the day of, my favorite moments were watching their plans come to life and the joy on their faces as they lived their day in the moment. There wasn’t a single second where they got caught up in the unimportant. Seriously, there were moments where they were a little stressed. There’s no way around it. Reciting your vows, giving a toast, dancing your first dance… all can be nerve wracking. Yup, even these olympic ice dancers were a little nervous for their first dance. After all, they are not used to wearing shoes. (Insert laughter here.) But they handled all the small-stress moments with grace. And they embraced them as well! It was a beautiful thing to witness. Two people, so clearly meant to be with one another, enjoying their celebration together, and allowing each to enjoy the day, while also enjoying their time with family (many from Richard’s family flew in from England) and friends.

We worked closely with the mother-of-the-bride to bring her daughter’s vision to life. From the organic bouquet to the stunning arch design, every detail helped to create a day filled with cherished memories and enchanting moments.

Designing the Perfect Bouquet

As the sun danced on the horizon, Sophia’s all-white and green bouquet took center stage. Designed with a loose and organic style, it was a reflection of her timeless elegance and the seaside’s natural charm. Adorned with delicate white florals and trailing ribbon, the bouquet perfectly complemented Sophia’s radiant smile, exuding an air of romance and sophistication. It was an honor to curate a bouquet that encapsulated her unique style.

The arch design was a captivating focal point, symbolizing the love between the couple.

In addition to the round arch provided by Rustic Drift , the couple completed the ceremony aesthetic with a boardwalk runner, coastal plants to line the aisle, and garden chairs to set the scene with the most picture-perfect details.

A Time For Celebration

Each of the reception tables were adorned with a medium-sized floral centerpieces. Each design complimented the florals from the bouquets and ceremony designed. At the end of the evening each guest was encouraged to take a centerpiece home to treasure after the event.

Collaborating with the Mother-of-the-Bride

Throughout the design process, we had the pleasure of working closely with the mother-of-the-bride. Her dedication to ensuring her daughter’s dreams came true was evident in every detail. From answering questions to providing reassurance, we strove to make her feel at ease throughout the planning journey. Together, we crafted a vision that celebrated Sophia and Liam’s love story.

Capturing Timeless Memories

As the sun began to set, the Brant Beach Yacht Club came alive with the glow of love and joy. The beach-inspired design provided a picturesque backdrop for the couple’s photos, capturing timeless memories against the backdrop of the glistening sea. From the laughter shared with loved ones to the heartfelt speeches and enchanting first dance, every moment was a testament to the deep love between Sophia and Liam.

Sophia and Liam’s beach-inspired wedding at Brant Beach Yacht Club was a day filled with romanced joy. Working closely with the mother-of-the-bride allowed us to curate a celebration that stayed true to the couple’s vision, infusing every detail with the charm of the venue. From the organic bouquet to the coordinated bridesmaid bouquets and the breathtaking arch design. As the sun dipped below the horizon, Sophia and Liam embarked on a new journey, surrounded by the love of their family and friends. Their beach-inspired wedding will forever be a cherished memory, a testament to the beauty of love of the couple.

Fall Wedding at Brant Beach Yacht Club Cara and Patrick

I just loved Cara and Patrick’s fall Brant Beach Yacht club wedding! This stunning day was full of elegant slate blue details, Cara’s favorite color, and reflected their personalities perfectly. Cara and Patrick live up in Hoboken but they love spending their summers in Long Beach Island, so planning their day on the water was a no brainer.

They started their day getting ready with their loved ones at their beach homes and then had a traditional church ceremony at St. Mary of the Pines in Stafford Township. After the ceremony and a joyful church exit, we made a stop at the beach for photos before heading to Brant Beach Yacht Club for the reception. I loved Cara’s dress – it was so perfect for twirling and movement. It was stunning!

Once we were at the yacht club it started to rain but it then cleared up right before the sun was setting over the water so we got some epic sunset photos for these two! There’s nothing like a sunset at Brant Beach Yacht Club! It was the perfect way to end cocktail hour and make their way to their big celebration. There was so much dancing at this wedding – it truly felt like normal pre-covid wedding. I was so happy for these two and their perfect day!

Cara and Patrick, thank you for allowing me to capture your big day! I hope you enjoyed your honeymoon to Italy and are loving the newlywed life!

LBI Wedding at Brant Beach Yacht Club

Kaitlyn and Matthew had their LBI wedding at Brant Beach Yacht Club . This beautiful venue allowed our couple and their guests to enjoy the indoor/outdoor feel along with great water views. “We wanted our guests to experience LBI when it is most beautiful – at the end of the day when the sun is setting, there is a cool breeze coming off the water, and your body is warm and relaxed from a day at the shore.” – Kaitlyn and Matthew shared. The venue has a neutral palette that was easy for the couple to work with and allowed them to incorporate their color scheme beautifully.

What was the most anticipated moment of your wedding day?

“every moment of our day was special, but some of the highlights included our first look, reading our vows, finally being introduced as mr. and mrs. richmond, and having the opportunity to dance with all our friends and family after a long year of covid-19 restrictions.”.

Kaitlyn wore a white Blush by Hayley Paige wedding dress with a full tulle skirt, fitted beaded bodice, and plunging neckline. The dress was her something new; she wore her mother’s bracelet as her something borrowed, a lace handkerchief she bought at an antique store in Red Bank when she was 13 years old was her something old. Her bright turquoise Nina shoes were her something blue. She wore her hair up in a soft updo with curls and a dutch braid in the front. Thanks to Jenn Macrina of Happily Ever After Hair , it looked absolutely stunning and stayed perfectly intact all night. She accessorized her hair with a custom hairpiece of seashells designed by Seashells in Bloom (a mother-daughter team in Rhode Island). Her signature scent was Peony and Blush Suede by Jo Malone . Bold and beautiful, the bride’s makeup was bold lashes and rosy cheeks. She looked absolutely stunning!! Monica of Perfect Bridals by Christina did a fantastic job glamming the girls up! Their little furbaby had an adorable dress of her own designed by House of Fur Baby .

Matthew wore a navy suit from The Black Tux , brown shoes, a turquoise wave tie from Knotty Tie Co. , and a small silver anchor tie pin. His Original Grain watch was a wedding day gift from the bride made from stainless steel and wood from a whiskey barrel. Inscribed on the back was “It was always you 09-04-06,” which is the date the bride and groom officially became a couple in high school. AWWWW!! He wore astronaut novelty socks to represent his job as a “rocket scientist”- an aerospace engineer who helps build the cargo modules sent to the International Space Station! Matthew also had custom cufflinks featuring a picture of his late mother on her wedding day. This way, she was with him on his special day.

The bridesmaid’s dresses were inspired by sea glass, continuing the beachy theme. Her bridesmaids wore Occasions by Hayley Paige , and her maid of honor had on a beautiful dress by Jenny Yoo . They all wore different shades of blue, including light blue, aqua, and slate blue. In contrast, the MOH wore a floral print that incorporated all three colors of the bridesmaid’s dresses. All the girls wore silver heels with silver bracelets and earrings that were a gift from Kaitlyn. The groomsmen wore light grey suits from The Black Tux with a navy wave tie that matched the groom’s turquoise wave tie. Each groomsman wore a different pair of novelty socks to match their interests and hobbies, including soccer, coffee, dogs, and Americana. This added touch with the socks was such a fun detail!

Let’s talk about the details!

The bouquets designed by Jacqueline’s Florist were made of white hydrangeas, white roses, dusty miller, and silver dollar eucalyptus. Turquoise mason jars of white hydrangeas and eucalyptus were used as centerpieces on the covered deck overlooking the water at Brant Beach Yacht Club . This is where the cocktail hour took place. Both grandmothers were given wrist corsages with black and white photos of their husbands on their wedding days attached. What a sweet little element from Kaitlyn and Matthew. The bride’s mother was given a corsage made out of seashells and Swarovski crystals designed to look like hydrangeas that matched the Seashells in Bloom hairpiece worn by Kaitlyn. Single-stemmed white flowers were used sparingly with the bottles in the centerpieces and throughout the reception area space.

“ The entire venue was decorated with a variety of glass bottles in different sizes and shades of aqua. Our main goal was to share everything we love about LBI with all the special people in our lives.” Kaitlyn and Matthew had such beautiful details! They incorporated sea glass, ocean-colored glass bottles, and various florals to add to their beachy-themed wedding. Their theme was inspired by the beach. The color palette included shades of aqua and blue with accented navy, white, natural wood, and silver. Looking all around the venue, it was filled with sea glass and driftwood colors.

“My mother and I spent months collecting bottles from TJ Maxx, Home Goods, Michaels, and other stores. The largest bottles were clustered together at the end of the aisle to create the altar with the bay as the backdrop. Other bottles were used to decorate the steps, mantle, and tables. Each table had several bottles with a hand-painted glass table number clustered in the center on top of either a dusty blue or aqua cloth napkin. While most bottles were left empty, one or two bottles on each table had a single stem white flower, including hydrangeas, roses, and gerber daisies with sprigs of silver dollar eucalyptus and seagrass.”

Each detail was thought out and planned precisely. The mantle was decorated with small glass bottles and framed photos of the bride and groom over the years. The seating cards were beach badges that Kaitlyn made with help from her friends. “ We printed the badges on card stock, cut them using a hexagon-shaped hole puncher, and pushed pins in the middle to make them look like authentic Jersey Shore seasonal beach badges. The badges were light blue and white with the guest’s name, our initials, an anchor, and a “serial number” on the bottom that was actually the wedding date. The place setting cards were stood up in a wooden tray filled with sand at the welcome table.” How clever and unique this idea for the place setting cards were! It indeed added to the theme and made for a unique look in their wedding details.

Kaitlyn and Matthew’s sea glass design invitations were printed by Minted . Designed beautifully with shades of blue and white. The design on the invitations looked like sea glass. At each place setting, there were wedding favors of bags with brightly colored saltwater taffy – “A Shore Thing!” Their wedding cake was so unique and fit the vibes well. Jennifer Richard of JenniCakes designed a cream, three-tier cake with sea glass that just looked like it came up by ocean waves.

Wedding advice from Kaitlyn and Matthew:

• Splurge on your photographer and honeymoon- you won’t regret it!
• Hire your photographer to do an engagement photo session so you can become comfortable in front of the camera and get to know each other.
• Enjoy every minute of planning because it goes by too fast!
• Enjoy every minute of your wedding day because it goes by too fast! (I know everyone says that it all goes by fast, but you honestly can’t appreciate that advice until you are living it) Stop every once in a while and just look around at the people there, listen to the song playing, take a sip of your drink, etc.- try to soak it all in!
• DO A FIRST LOOK!! It makes the day so much more relaxed, and you can actually enjoy all the yummy food at cocktail hour! This also allows you to greet everyone and say hi so you can spend time dancing during your reception.
