Captain Alex took me, along with 5 of my friends to all of the hot spots around the USVI and BVI. We knew very little about where to go and Cpt. Alex just guided us along on a fun-filled, relaxing day. He does a great job of appealing to his passengers and can take you wherever you wish to go ---> and is reasonably priced! I highly recommend using SunSea Charters and will definitely do it again myself.

Great day with Alex. First class operation. Our second year with Alex on the water. We have used others, but never again. Great boat, great captain, (he knows the best places) great day on the water. Great prices!!

When I have friends or family in town, or when I am looking to have a spectacular day out on the water, my first thought is to contact Sun Sea and book a day charter. Captain Alex's knowledge of the water in both the USVI and BVI is unsurpassed. This boat is pristine, perfectly maintained and carries an amazing sound system for your vacation soundtrack (bring your Ipod). Captain Alex's attitude is a perfect blend of professionalism and laid back vibe so you never have to worry about a thing when you are on a Sun Sea Charter except enjoying the phenomenal natural beauty of the Caribbean. Sun Sea Charters is simply the best charter trip in the Virgin Islands.

I called to inquire about the services offered and spoke directly to Captain Alex and he was very helpful and informative. He is born and bred in St. Thomas so I knew he would be a perfect match for our boat outing. He knew exactly what to suggest for our memorable day of boating in the waters surrounding the Virgin Islands. We wanted something really relaxing, that would accommodate my family of four. My husband and I and our two daughters enjoyed every second we were aboard the boat with Captain Alex, we went to a private beach called Little Cinnamon Bay and the waters were so clear and it was a perfect choice made by the Captain. I can’t say enough, if you are considering a chartered boat tour, DO IT, it will be the high point of your vacation and definitely book with Sun Sea Charters. I said to my husband if it rained the remaining days of our vacation after the tour with Sun Sea Charters it would be OK because the boat outing, absolutely hands down, made the vacation. Captain Alex had everything we needed on board from water sports equipment, life jackets (for my older daughter who doesn’t really like waters- and after the boating with Captain Alex she has changed her attitude toward the open seas) and even cold drinks (free of charge). This was our first time in St. Thomas and my girls first time on a boat, so I wanted to make certain they felt safe and that all safety precautions were met. Captain Alex knew exactly what to do….he even started slowly in order for them to get their “sea legs” as it is called and of course they didn’t need it they loved the boat. My husband loved the twin engines they really gave the boat power and stability, I enjoyed the fabulous boat with the lounge seating areas. You will not regret going with Sun Sea Charters and the fees were the most reasonable around for the cost of a couple of dinners for my family we got to enjoy a private boat. Everyone does the same ‘ole same ‘ole when they go on an island vacation surprise your family or loved one with something on the open waters that you will not regret and book a tour with Sun Sea Charters the next time you are anywhere in the Virgin islands. I know, I know, I probably sound like a commercial for Sun Sea Charters but once you go you will be making your own commercial! I would recommend it for couples, families and to anyone who just want to enjoy the seas. There are quite a few charter companies in the area but make certain you book with Sun Sea Charters. We will be going to St. Thomas every year and chartering with Sun Sea Charters and expect to build many lasting memories with Captain Alex. St. Thomas is one of the most beautiful islands in the world. My husband and I have traveled to many sunny vacation destinations including Jamaica, Bahamas, St. Martins and even to Nice, France and Monte Carlo, Monaco anywhere sun and sand meet and I have to say St. Thomas tops them all for a family vacation. We spent a week in St. Thomas and decided to do a boat charter and we are so glad we chose to do it with Captain Alex and Sun Sea Charters- www.sunseavi.com.

My husband and I got Alex's name from a friend who has been down to St. Thomas before. We booked it immediately after hearing the reviews of their trip and were NOT disappointed! We spent the entire day with Alex and had an excellent time - snorkeling, cruising around the islands getting the scoop on the various places and bar hopping - we left wishing we'd booked the next day too! Alex is incredibly knowledgeable about the islands and we learned so much - we even got to jump in and swim with a humpback whale and her baby, which Alex said is RARE! I'd highly recommend using Alex's services if you are in the area... we can't wait to get back and will definitely be giving Alex a call!

If you are looking for a relaxing day on the water while visiting a few of the virgin islands, use Sun Sea Charters! Captain Alex Poe will make sure you have a memorable day. He picked us up at 8am at the St John docks. We were starving for a great breakfast to kick off our busy day at sea. He knew immediately where to take us. So, we headed over to Tortola for a great breakfast with a great view. From there, we headed to Jost Van Dyke and spent the majority of the day hopping from bar to bar on White Bay. To finish our day we headed to Norman Island where we hung out with the crew of "Willie T's". Captain Alex knows the island's very well, and he will create a trip for you to remember. You tell him what you are looking for and he will get it done!!! FYI - Jost Van Dyke should be on everybody's Bucket List:)
