The First Lamborghini Yacht Has Arrived in the US

The first Lamborghini yacht has arrived in North America. In 2020, the Italian supercar manufacturer announced a partnership with Italian superboat manufacturer Tecnomar to produce a limited run of luxury yachts for the global marketplace. Now, the first of these finished boats in the US is waiting for its premiere customer at a dock in South Florida. 

Dubbed Tecnomar for Lamborghini 63 , its name carries a variety of different connotations: The boat is 63 feet long, it has a top speed of 63 knots (which translates to around 72 mph on land), and only 63 of them are being built. This number isn’t random though—it’s an easter egg of sorts, pointing to the year 1963, when Ferruccio Lamborghini founded his namesake car company. Each of the roughly five dozen yachts has a starting price of around $3.5 million—and this is before the inevitable optioning-up with custom colors, materials, trim, and other individuated flourishes. Delivered through Miami-based Prestige Marine , the dealership tells AD that more Tecnomar for Lamborghini 63 s are on the way. 

The yacht is fitted with a sleek design common to the luxury car brand. 

Of course, it’s the boat’s signature Lamborghini design elements that truly stand out. Aboard the luxury vessel, you’ll find hexagonal patterns on the interior and exterior, Y-shaped headlamps from the marque’s Sián supercar, a jet-fighter-like cockpit, a pair of racing-inspired seats at the helm, and, of course, V-12 power. However, unlike any production Lamborghini supercar, the Techomar features two of these motors, each of which runs on diesel fuel, and produces around 2,000 horsepower.

This is not the first foray into the nautical realm for Lamborghini. In 1968, five years after the founding of his eponymous car company, Ferruccio Lamborghini commissioned a wooden boat from famed Italian shipbuilder Riva and equipped it with a pair of 4.0-liter V-12 engines from his signature sports cars. Later, the marque produced an outrageously potent 7.2-liter V-12 marine engine for use in powerboats. In the 1980s and 1990s, this motor was occasionally shoehorned into the brand’s equally outrageous LM002 , an absurd super-SUV produced in limited numbers, which acted as the precursor to the brand’s current best-seller, the Urus SUV .

The Lamborghini-Tecnomar yacht joins other similar, limited edition, high-end boats produced by exclusive automakers, including Aston Martin , and Mercedes-Benz’s go-fast subsidiary, AMG . These ships are part of a larger initiative among luxury carmakers to create branded lifestyle experiences everywhere their customers may desire to be, including the creation of residential towers by the likes of Aston Martin , Bentley , Porsche , as well as homewares and furniture from Bugatti and a full line of fashion clothing and accessories from Ferrari.

The interiors offer plenty of space for entertaining. 

Not to be forgotten within this context is the full line of Lamborghini Tractors , the first vehicle company founded by Ferruccio back in the immediate post–World War II era in Italy and still in production today. We’re quite certain there is not one large enough to tow this superyacht, but the cross-branding opportunity still seems irresistible.

Inside the yacht , this theme continues. Leather pilot seats are adapted from the Lamborghini Huracan Evo and even have racing seatbelts. The helm has an Aventador steering wheel while the dash and the buttons are all modeled after what you’d find in the driver’s seat of various Lamborghini models. Even the paint job is borrowed from the Siàn FKP 37, the company’s first hybrid super sports car.

In terms of features you’ll find a galley with a dinette inside, a sunpad in the rear, a popup television for all your movie-watching needs. Because of its size it doesn’t have room for things like a jet ski or other toys, but you could tear up the water water skiing or tubing , for sure.

Below deck you’ll find the master suite at the bow along with a guest suite that features twin single berths. Even the upholstery in the rooms is borrowed from the cars to give you that same look and feel of luxury and speed on the road. Remember, despite the price this is still a 63 foot boat so there’s not a ton of room for extra people on board.

What Does the Lamborghini 63 Yacht Cost?

The Lamborghini yacht was initially going with a $3.5 million price tag meaning it was no joke as far as yachts go. But would you expect any less from a yacht made by Lamborghini. But here’s the thing – they only made 63 of them which is, in part, why the name is 63. And because there’s such a limited number of them the resale market has seen a significant rise in prices for the vessels, even though they were only released in 2022.  You can buy very gently used yachts for $5 million 

How Fast Does the Lamborghini Yacht Go?

The advertised top speed of the Lamborghini 63 yacht is 60 knots which works out to an impressive speed of around 69 miles per hour. In the world of yachts, that’s definitely a fast vessel.  It goes through about 100 gallons of fuel an hour at cruising speed which gives it a range of about 360 nautical miles.

I’ve never had the pleasure myself but reports from those who have gone out on a test run point out that one of the most remarkable features of the yacht is how it handles that speed. This thing was designed to be as sleek and fast as their cars so when you get up to speed you barely notice it on the boat. The vibration is barely there and even when hitting some chop the boat glides through the waves like a knife through butter, smooth and easy with barely any bumps along the way. It’s the least you’d expect from a Lamborghini.

The name 63 refers to several aspects of the yacht. In addition to the fact only 63 were made, it also refers to the company’s 1963 Foundation and, finally, the length of the yacht which is 63 feet. It qualifies for the range of ultralight boats and is made with carbon fiber. Other specs from Tecnomar for Lamborghini 63 include:

The Bottom Line

The Tecnomar Lamborghini 63 yacht was released in 2022 with an initial price of $3.5 million. Used models are already being resold for a higher price and it’s safe to say Lamborghini sold out of their entire run of 63 boats. 

The motor yacht is able to reach speeds of 60 knots and has a range of 360 nautical miles. There’s room on board for a couple of guests to spend a night or two on the water but the chief purpose of the design was as a very fast, very fun boat for the owners of Lamborghini cars who want the same rush on the water that they get with their cars on the land.

A California philanthropist allegedly threatened to kill a dock worker during a heated argument from his multimillion-dollar yacht, before dropping his pants and making several threatening gestures to the employee.

Ajay Thakore, a local entrepreneur in the San Diego area, attempted to dock his Lamborghini yacht at the private Marriot Marquis Marina to pick up one of his employees but was stopped by worker Joseph Holt on Sunday.

“I told him respectfully that he couldn’t be there, and I honestly was hoping to have a conversation with him about his cool boat,” Holt told CBS8. “But yeah, it completely went the other way.”

Thakore, who goes by his social media name, Ace Rogers, was riding on his rare $4.5 million Tecnomar for Lamborghini 63 yacht at the time of the daytime dispute.

Holt claimed Thakore became hostile as soon as he was told off.

“It escalated immediately. It was 0 to 100 immediately,” the 21-year-old worker added.

Thakore, the CEO of medical advertising firm Doctor Multimedia, allegedly began to threaten Holt’s life as the luxury speedboat drove away from the docks.

“I will kill you, you know I will kill you, I will kill,” Thakore repeatedly yells, according to the video posted to YouTube.

Besides threatening to take Holt’s life, Thakore claimed to have the power to get the dock worker fired, ripping on the type of job he had.

“I’m a minimum wage worker, he was commenting on that, on my status just because of my job,” Holt said. “He was saying I’m nobody, I’m nothing, I work a silly job.”

“He said that he knows people, he has connections, he can change my life and ruin it,” he added.

During the heated discussion, Thakore allegedly pulled out his wallet and began throwing $100 bills at Holt and into the water, according to the outlet.

Holt said he tried to control himself during the incident and only gave Thakore the middle finger.

“I really didn’t know how to process it. I really was trying to restrain myself from getting fired from my job or stepping out of line. The only thing I did was give him the bird,” he said.

The dock hand blasted Thakore for his actions, especially in a public setting where he stripped nude and showed himself off.

“He had dropped his pants and started to make gestures to everybody watching and me. You can’t act that way in public. It’s just not OK. Especially threatening my life, at the very least. There were women and children there. That’s the most important part,” Holt said.

Thakore claims his outburst started because of a misunderstanding and was sorry for the people who saw it.

“The interaction that occurred yesterday was regrettable. What started as a minor misunderstanding escalated into an argument, and I apologize for my actions and to those who witnessed the unfortunate exchange,” Thakore’s public relations team said in a statement, obtained by KFMB.

Port of San Diego Harbor Police were called to the Seaforth Boat rental dock for “a possible intoxicated vessel operator” but arrived at the marina 10 minutes after Thakore and his boat had left.

The employee who attempted to board the extravagant boat defended his boss’s actions, saying Holt was hostile toward Thakore, and the businessman was only defending his team.

“As I went to kindly step onto the Yacht, I was impeded by two members that work for Seaforth Boat Rental,” Thakore’s employee Jason said on a post to the CEO’s Instagram account.

Jason said he was told to “stand back” the first time he went to step on the boat, and claimed he was forearmed during his second attempt to board the yacht.

“They physically got in my way, the situation became fairly tense, there was a lot of screaming back and forth, extremely confrontational, I didn’t fully understand protocol, as I was going to step onto the boat.”

“As all of this happened, my boss flipped and he’s very protective of me, his fiancée, of his employees.” Jason added. “It was a confusing situation that became very tense and very confrontational.”

Thakore captioned the post saying “there are two sides to every story and it’s easy to paint a picture with edited video clips from cell phones.”

“My employee Jason was being restricted, restrained, and threatened while trying to board my yacht. As a leader, I defend my own fiercely with everything I have, and I will never apologize for that,” the caption read.

“When the LMDh concept came up, it was tempting for us,” Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann told Robb Report at Sebring. “We are in the midst of the transition from ICE engines to hybrid cars… This is one reason it perfectly fits to do LMDh, for testing ideas. It’s important for us, we have to have a learning curve.”

The SC63 also employs an entirely new twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter V8 that shares zero components or specifications with any previous Lambo engine, including the 4.0-liter V8 in the Urus SUV. But LMDh’s regulations, as measured by sensors in the car’s drive axles, make the 671-hp powerplant’s engineering focus less on peak output and more on reliability.

And yet, only a few hours into the race, Chief Technical Officer Rouven Mohr noted that the SC63 had managed to log a fastest-lap time only about a second slower than the leading Cadillac. Unfortunately, though, the car’s tires seemed to be struggling to warm up—meaning that after any pit stop or safety car, the team would lose around 20 seconds before being able to hold a steady pace. He attributed the trend to the interplay between suspension damping and downforce while keeping the SC63 as low as possible to maximize the aero package, but without riding so stiff that bounces might lift a driven wheel up off the ground and result in too much torque reaching the axle sensors, which could cause a penalty.

Mohr also communicated with Ligier’s team throughout the leadup and race at Sebring, hoping to collect data from different setups that might help in future competition. But the other teams, running two or three cars each, can experiment with more setup variables and collect far more information to inform their own efforts.

“The strength of Lambo is that we are a very small team,” Mohr said, “But we need mileage, mileage, mileage, collecting data, and also for specific tracks. But the others are also refining their performance… This is motorsport, this is what we want. We want the competition.”

As the sun set over central Florida, a couple of dramatic crashes and mechanical failures on other teams’ cars helped the SC63 climb up steadily in the LMDh ranking, from the first seven or so hours spent steadily in last place. And by the time flashing lights streaked by in full darkness, the delta between Lambo’s fastest lap and the now-leading Acura’s dropped to only 0.4 seconds—which Mohr views as an incredible feat for the team, and inspiration to keep working hard to improve the SC63’s potential.

The SC63 eventually climbed to seventh place in class at Sebring and finished the race on the same lap as the winning Acura. That’s a big step up from the first race of the season at Qatar, where the car wound up five laps off the lead in 15th place. Lamborghini will aim to continue building on the improvement as the 2024 World Endurance Championship moves on to Imola in April and then at IMSA’s Watkins Glen race later in the summer. In a strong field, it seems racing on Sunday (or in this case, Saturday) to sell on Monday will remain a critical portion of Lambo’s ethos moving forward.

A California yacht owner's vicious beef with a dock worker has reached death-threat levels -- and their exchange was caught on camera and included a nude, and very rude, gesture!

Check out the clip ... it all unfolds when San Diego entrepreneur Ajay Thakore swings by the swanky Marriott Marquis Marina in his rare $4.5M Tecnomar for Lamborghini 63 yacht to pick up one of his employees -- but things boil over when dock worker Joseph Holt tells him he can't be there.

Thakore, the CEO of medical advertising firm Doctor Multimedia, flips out on Holt big time ... and starts spewing threats like, "I will kill you, you know I will kill you, I will kill."

And it doesn't stop there -- as Thakore's pulling out of the harbor, he drops trou to make a full frontal salute in Holt's direction. Stay classy, San Diego!

Holt's only retaliation was flipping the bird, and he later told CBS8 that was all he could do to keep his cool and avoid escalating the situation.

Holt says parts of the altercation were not captured on camera, and he adds ... Thakore not only threatened to kill him, but also claimed to have connections who could totally mess up his life.

Holt also says Thakore pulled out $100 bills and tossed them at him, even chucking some in the water.

BTW, Thakore's done some backpedaling since the ugly exchange -- he now says, "The interaction that occurred yesterday was regrettable. What started as a minor misunderstanding escalated into an argument, and I apologize for my actions and to those who witnessed the unfortunate exchange."

The owner of a $4.5m lamborghini yacht fired off death threats, threw cash at attendants and dropped their trousers after being turned away from a private dock..

We’ve all been irritated when we miss out on a parking space , right? But have you ever been so annoyed that you started firing off death threats and pulled down your trousers? I thought not. Well, one millionaire did just that after they and their Lamborghini yacht were turned away from a private dock in San Diego.

Ajay Thakore, otherwise known as Ace Rogers, was attempting to dock their Tecnomar Lamborghini 63 yacht at a Marriott Marina in San Diego this weekend, reports local news outlet CBS8 . However, when the businessman was told that this was a private dock and there wasn’t space for his $4.5 million yacht, all hell broke loose.

In video of the incident , the Lamborghini yacht is seen pulling away from the dock in San Diego while a worker, identified as Joseph Holt, stands on. A man on the rear of the boat is then seen unleashing all their fury, as CBS8 reports:

The video showed Rogers standing on the end of his yacht a few feet away from Holt who is standing on the dock. Rogers’ screams echo through the marina. Rogers is heard on the video shouting, “I will kill you. I will kill you. I will kill you.” Holt said Rogers got out his wallet and continued his vicious tirade toward him as he threw $100 bills at him and into the water. “I’m a minimum wage worker, he was commenting on that, on my status just because of my job. He was saying I’m nobody, I’m nothing, I work a silly job. He said that he knows people, he has connections, he can change my life and ruin it,” Holt said.

The outburst is ridiculous, and despite Rogers’ actions, the dock worker does manage to keep things surprisingly cool throughout the whole altercation. But his calm demeanor finally breaks when the trousers are dropped; at that point he rightfully flips Rogers the bird.

After the video began circulating on social media, Rogers was forced into an apology for his actions, releasing a statement that was shared by CBS news:

“The interaction that occurred yesterday was regrettable. What started as a minor misunderstanding escalated into an argument, and I apologize for my actions and to those who witnessed the unfortunate exchange.”

Police were called to the marina following Rogers’ outburst. However, they reportedly arrived on the scene after he had jetted out of there, leaving them just to take statements from onlookers.

An Indian-origin businessman, allegedly threatened to kill a dockworker after being refused parking for his Lamborghini yacht worth $4.5 million in San Diego, California.

A 21-year-old dockworker denied him parking, which reportedly led to Thakore becoming aggressive and the fight escalated.

The incident occurred on Sunday when Thakore attempted to park his yacht at the Seaforth Boat Rental to pick someone up, according to the digital news portal the Daily Mail.

Ajay Thakore aka Ace Rogers, Chief Executive Officer of Thakore and Gopher Media LLC, exposed his genitals and threatened to kill the 21-year-old dockworker.

In the video, he is heard saying, “I'll kill you! I will kill you! You know I'll kill you!”

"Yeah, I doubt it! Ace Rogers, call me! Time and place!" the employee responds.

In the latter part of the video, Thakore pulls down his pants, shows his genitals, and makes inappropriate gestures towards the dockworker.

Thakore, an Indian-American businessman from San Diego, was also seen throwing money in the water and exhorting the dockworker to swim after it.

Thakore's employee responded to the viral incident on Ajay Thakore's Instagram official page 'acerogersceo', claiming that the situation became tense when the workers physically obstructed him from boarding the yacht.

He stated, “There was a lot of screaming back and forth,” and mentioned feeling threatened during the encounter.

Thakore defended his actions on his official Instagram page, asserting that there are “two sides to every story".

He explained, “It's easy to paint a picture with edited video clips...but it's hard to explain context and look at a situation from all sides.”

Thakore addressed perceptions surrounding wealthy individuals, stating, “Successful people become so for a reason...If you want to f*ck around, you are going to find out.”

In 2021, Thakore clashed with a local pizza shop, Take N Bake pizza shop, over parking. He allegedly retaliated by flying a plane with anti-pizza shop slogans that read "Carinos Pizza is better than Take n Bake".

The pizza company has since launched a $10-million lawsuit against Thakore, reported the Daily Mail.
