Venture out to must-visit Cala Di Vlope and sample its famous buffet. The price tag may be hefty but the exquisite food and wine makes it the best lunch in town. After lunch, tender over to its beach and unwind on the white sand under a linen umbrella.

What to wear in Porto Cervo

Do wear Cavalli – and lots of it! Women and men would do well to don lots of bling – de Grisogono jewels preferably and a Bvlgari Serpenti watch.

Where to shop in Porto Cervo

Head to Porto Cervo’s concrete mall, home to some of the most in-the-know brands. Kristina Ti boutique is a must for fine Italian knits, silk kaftans and playsuits. Recover from an exhausting shopping session by sipping an espresso in the port at 5pm in front of Porto Cervo’s traditional five-piece band.

Most host dinner parties on board followed by a late excursion to the Billionaire Club to top up on more Champagne. But if you’re venturing out, since Porto Cervo is one of the Med's top party destinations , head to Cala Di Volpe for its chic cliente - after all, it was good enough for James Bond in The Spy Who Loved Me. Sip a Bellini or rosé Champagne and watch the sun set in the most spectacular way.

Porto Cervo

Het kloppend hart van de costa smeralda.

Porto Cervo is dé bestemming van de Costa Smeralda. In de jaren ’60 werd de Arabische prins Karim Aga Kahn IV geraakt door de schoonheid van dit stukje kust. Daarom besloot hij hier een paradijs voor toeristen te creëren. Met behulp van internationaal gerenommeerde architecten is Porto Cervo omgetoverd tot een exclusief vakantieoord, geheel in stijl met de omgeving.

Beroemdheden

Het dorpje heeft slechts 200 inwoners. Het centrum wordt gevormd door het plein La Piazzetta . Hier hebben alle Italiaanse ontwerpers hun eigen exclusieve boetiekjes: Versace, Prada, Gucci, Valentino, Bulgari en Louis Vuitton. In de wirwar van kleine straatjes is het niet uitgesloten dat je een etalage staat te bekijken naast een beroemde voetballer, filmster of politicus.

In Porto Cervo neemt de watersport een belangrijke plaats in. Er zijn maar liefst twee jachthavens, waar de meest luxueuze jachten te bewonderen zijn. De chique Yacht Club Costa Smeralda organiseert verschillende zeilregatta’s, waar veel watersportliefhebbers op afkomen. Het witte kerkje Stella Maris ligt net iets boven het dorp met een uitzonderlijk mooi uitzicht over de jachthaven en is zeker een bezoekje waard.

Prachtige stranden

De Costa Smeralda en Porto Cervo zijn rijk aan schitterende stranden, zoals bijvoorbeeld het strand van l’Arena Bianca met tropisch wit zand. Het grootste strand van de Costa Smeralda is het strand van Liscia Ruja. Dit staat ook wel bekend als Longbeach en is tevens geliefd om het nachtleven dat zich hier na zonsondergang afspeelt. De charme van Porto Cervo is dat er voor elke bezoeker een geschikte manier van vakantievieren te kiezen is. Een hotel, agriturismo, bed & breakfast, vakantiehuis, appartement of camping: iedereen zal zijn vakantie op Sardinië naar eigen voorkeur kunnen invullen.
