Inconsistent and loud. We ordered chicken satays to share. As they cost $20 I presumed there were several. What came out was 2 chicken skewers. I was gobsmacked that they would love charge so much. See photo. We refused to eat or pay for them... and they kindly gave a full refund. Everything else we ordered was appropriately priced so I don’t know how they got this so wrong. I had lamb backstop which was nice however one piece of lamb was cool rare and the other piece was well done. There was a small 2 piece band playing who were good but it was too loud in the dining room and they should have been positioned in the bar area. There was a lovely vibrant atmosphere and obviously popular with locals. Also the view is fantastic overlooking boats, water and the bridge. More

Had a birthday party here and staff plus atmosphere were great. Well priced drinks great if you need to host a party for someone. Food was great and service to.

This bar and restaurant at Lindisfarne is an absolutely hidden gem when visiting Hobart. It has absolutely outstanding views over the Marina and through the spans of the Tasman Bridge to the city, Wrest Point, and beyond. There is often boating activity of every kind... including dragon boats which are great to see on training drills. The Motor Yacht Club co-resides with an RSL - both private clubs, so there is a need to sign in, but visitors are always welcome. Best to book though as the dining room is not open every night, and can be quite busy, or not available when there are club or private functions happening. The staff are extremely friendly, the meals are big, hot, and good. The bonus though is incredibly reasonably priced drinks. Tap beer is available, but there is also a nice range of other beers, wines, and non-alcoholic drinks. Although we live at the other end of the State, we go to this bar/restaurant almost every time we are in Hobart for its fabulous views and well priced food and drinks. Highly recommended. More

A group of us had a meal at the club which also doubles as the RSL. The meal was great and very reasonably priced with a large selection of mains and also sweets.

check..ARE pillows good or not.IS.bedding hard or forgiving.shower space,no room...fridge on the floor no good. how many pots and pans will fit on gas burners at the same time...does the ignition work...will the tv work...our toilet smelled all the time...the toaster was to small...and on... and on.moto maui madness..cheers. After being told by the waitress that the Nepalese Vegetarian Curry is highly recommended, it was really disappointing to be served what looked & tasted like mashed chick peas. No hint of curry, no colour, and definitely no flavour. The Nan bread it came with... had a garlic & herb flavour & was hot, but the bowl of curry& rice were only blood temperature. Very sorry to say we won’t be rushing back. More

We have recently been going here for coffee and to read the newspaper, though it is often busy on Friday when a lot of people enjoy lunch. The menu looks good and it would be ideal to book for a wedding or celebration. The views... are stunning and it is a very good venue all round. More

An absolutely magic spot overlooking the water. Drinks were very reasonably priced and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Husband had pork loin which was delicious, as was the gummy shark. Only critisism would be the chips/salad sides. Chips were coated in some kind... of chicken salt or spice which was just way too much and the salad tasted like it came from the deli counter at Woolworths. The tartare sauce with the fish came out of a jar as well I'm sure. More

My partner and I went here for a couple of beers and a light dinner. The zucchini fritters were very nice & the chips with aioli were the best chips we’ve ever had anywhere! Perfectly cut, tender in the middle and crunchy on the outside... 😍 we enjoyed looking at the knots board inside and through the binoculars at the bay past the Tasman highway. More

We had the scallops and prawns. Really good meal in a cozy environment. Probably a spectacular sunset view but we came way too late.

For a simple, tasty meal the place to go here. Got the daily special $22 lamb shanks with mash - was yummy and well spiced. The apple crumble was dry and not pleasing at all. Staff are friendly and in the future when the exterior... scaffolding is gone the views will be beautiful. This is in Lindisfarne about 10 mins away from Hobart by car. Nice to come in daylight or sunset. Great home like cooking. I’ll be back. More

A large group of Jaguar Car Club members attended an evening meal to be blown away by the prompt friendly capable service at this clean and welcoming establishment. Congratulations to the Chef for the outstanding meal we were presented. Not a complaint from anyone. This... restaurant will be a regular treat in future. Can’t wait to revisit. We dined here one night when staying at Orana House Lindisfarne and the meal was fantastic. The venue has superb views over the harbor and bridge. Be sure to book as this place is popular for good reason. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience... we will be back! More

My wife and I visited the Motor Yacht club for dinner recently, it will be a regular gig from now on. The food amazing, service super fast and the staff, young, energetic, engaging and polite. We Loved it. The icing on the cake for this... one is the view of the marina! More

The food and drinks were amazing for the most part a very enjoyable experience!! Loved the place and would definitely come again (and often) IF it wasn't for the young lady that is supposed to be a manager...(dark hair and nose stud.) She is the poster child of what NOT to have in your business!!!! Very cold, uninviting and at times (both with me and my party, and from what we all witnessed with other patrons) was very hostile!!! If it wasn't for this young lady I would have given a 5 star rating!!! How she has kept her job is beyond understanding???!!! James totally bewildered
