As the Sardinian summer season can be extremely busy, we do recommend to reserve your holiday in advance. However, we might be able to arrange a last minute charter for you. You are welcome to call us or e-mail us at [email protected] – We will do our best to find the ideal boat in Sardinia for you in the selected period of time.

We can help you define a program for your holiday or day-trip in Sardinia. Please feel free to discuss your needs with our staff to identify the best locations. Also, we will check the weather conditions in your selected destinations.

Once the details of your booking will be confirmed, you will need to pay 50% of the full price as a deposit. The amount can be paid through bank transfer or credit card. The remaining 50% shall be transferred 30 days before the beginning of your holiday. You can pay any additional costs or extras with your credit card on the boarding day.

There are two ways to calculate the amount and cost of fuel for your trip:

1. By following one of our suggested routes, inclusive of the estimate for the fuel

2. By calculating the total working hours of the engine divided by the amount of fuel your boat will consume per hour.

We normally suggest leaving the port by 10am or 11am the latest. However, the decision will be entirely yours. Our charter trips last for 8 hours and can be extended for longer, when previously requested.

As much as nature can be unpredictable at times, bad weather in Sardinia during summer is a very rare occurrence. In case your charter needed to be cancelled for this reason, we will reschedule it according to your possibilities.

Yes, absolutely. You can tell us any kind of experience you would like to have during your holiday in Sardinia. We will be happy to help in the organization of your special event or catering.

Yes, you can. We allow our customers to bring their own food and drinks on board of most of our boats. However, it is always better to confirm this with us.

Between 2-8 September, Sardinia’s Porto Cervo saw exhilarating action from two international regatta events.

Last week, the Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup and the Rolex Maxi 72 World Championship commenced on the northern coast of Sardinia at Yacht Club Costa Smeralda.

A fleet of yachts took to the water to compete in thrilling races around the coastline of Porto Cervo, exhibiting quality performance and expert precision.

Yachts sliced through the water head-to-head through Bomb Alley, one of the most favoured locations for racing, and rounded the island of Spargi before heading back towards La Maddalena Archipelago.

In each class respectively, Momo, Topaz, Grande Horace, Lyra, Supernikka and H20 took home first place trophies.

One of the most remarkable victories came from the Wally 77 Lyra, whose scorline comprised five wins and two seconds, despite this being the first time her owner-driver has competed in a regatta.

This year marks the 29th edition of the Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup, which hosted 41 yachts classified according to their technical abilities competing to take home various titles.

Now, between 9-16 September, a fleet of 115 Swan yachts will gather in Porto Cervo to celebrate the 20th edition of the Rolex Swan Cup.

Il calendario della stagione sportiva dello Yacht Club Costa Smeralda è una tradizione che si rinnova ad ogni passaggio dall’inverno alla primavera, occasione del mondo della vela per ritrovarsi a Milano, opportunità per fare rete. E per riempirsi gli occhi dei colori unici di quel lembo dell’isola sarda che ospita le più belle barche del mondo. Quelle che si risponderanno alla chiamata della presidente del consiglio direttivo del club, la principessa Zahra Aga Khan (“Ciascuna delle nostre attività e programmi segue costantemente l’evoluzione del mondo velico, cercando di dare una risposta adeguata al tempo in cui viviamo, mantenendo vive le tradizioni”), e del suo segretario generale e direttore sportivo Edoardo Recchi.

Un calendario che vede quindici appuntamenti distribuiti dal 24 aprile – start della Ran 630, la regata d’altura che si rifà all’Accademia Navale – al 6 ottobre, data di chiusura degli Europei Etchells (l’one design di 9.30 metri di lunghezza, disegnato dall’omonimo progettista americano, classe olimpica mancata). Ma anche il rinnovo della partnership dello YCCS con Rolex – 40 anni! – e del prosieguo dell’impegno sul fronte ambientale (la Charta Smeralda di One Ocean Foundation, il Clean beach day dell’8 giugno, il programma e certificazione Clean Regattas di Sailor for the Sea, l’utilizzo di boe robotiche con motore elettrico e Gps). E, non ultimo, il progetto Young Azzurra, che continua con Maddalena Spanu nel wing foil (campionessa iridata), Cesare Barabino (Ilca7) e Federico Pilloni (campione europeo iQFoil), dopo l’ingresso di Federico Colaninno in Luna Rossa Youth. Ragazzi che si sono raccontati al moderatore Giovanni Bruno e che hanno conquistato i presenti con la loro spigliatezza.

A tal proposito, il presidente della Federvela, Francesco Ettorre, ha ribadito l’orientamento della Fiv che favorisce e supporta le opportunità per gli atleti olimpici di “fare altre esperienze” (in questo caso, c’è proprio un accordo formale tra Fiv e il team italiano dell’America’s Cup). Un bel messaggio, unito al messaggio per gli atleti in odore di OIimpiadi, che “non basta qualificarsi, bisogna cercare di farsi ricordare”. In sala, alcuni velisti di rango come Francesco de Angelis, Tommaso Chieffi e Enrico Isenburg , hanno annuito. Da remoto, infine, il “buon vento!” di Jannick Sinner , testimonial Rolex.

La stagione 2024

Il cartellone YCCS si apre con la RAN 630 - Regata dell’Accademia Navale, in programma dal 24 aprile al 1° maggio, dove il club offre il suo supporto tecnico per i passaggi alla boa di Porto Cervo. Quindi, a Porto Cervo, l’evento Vela & Golf (24-26 maggio), seguito dalla Giorgio Armani Superyacht Regatta, in programma dal 4 all’8 giugno e che vedrà al suo interno il Southern Wind RendezVous and Trophy. Sempre a giugno il Campionato Europeo J/24 (10 al 16 giugno).

E poi, la Grand Soleil Cup, una veleggiata organizzata in collaborazione con il Cantiere del Pardo per la quale è attesa una flotta di circa 40 imbarcazioni (21/23 giugno) e l’Invitational Smeralda 888 (28-30 giugno), seguita dalla Coppa Europa Smeralda 888 (12-14 luglio) a bordo delle Smeralda 888. E ancora, dal 19 al 21 luglio si svolgerà la quarta edizione della YCCS J/70 Sailing Clinic, quindi il Campionato Sociale dello YCCS riservato ai soci (4 agosto), preceduto il giorno prima dalla assemblea generale annuale in cui sarà eletto il nuovo commodoro. Ad agosto anche il Trofeo Formenton (20 agosto) e la Palermo-Porto Cervo-Montecarlo, a cui lo YCCS offre supporto tecnico.

Settembre si apre con la Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup (8-14 settembre), in collaborazione con l’International Maxi Association, e la Rolex Swan Cup (15-21 settembre). La stagione si conclude con il Campionato Europeo Etchells (1/6 ottobre), preceduto dalla Smeralda Cup (2/3 ottobre).

Una stagione con grandi ritorni e novità. Si può descrivere così la stagione sportiva 2024 dello Yacht Club Costa Smeralda, presentata a Milano. Ad aprire l'evento la principessa Zahra Aga Khan, presidente del Consiglio Direttivo dello Yccs che ha confermato la stagione "molto intensa con regate in programma da maggio a ottobre". Il 2024, ha ricordato, segna un anniversario, ricorrono infatti i 40 anni della collaborazione con lo storico partner Rolex. E ad augurare "buon vento" alla prossima stagione sportiva e a tutti i suoi protagonisti é stato un testimonial del marchio, Jannik Sinner, tennista numero 3 del mondo. A raccontare nel dettaglio la stagione é intervenuto Edoardo Recchi, segretario generale e direttore sportivo Yacht Club Costa Smeralda.     Subito dopo la Ran 630 - Regata dell'Accademia Navale, in programma dal 24 aprile al 1° maggio, la stagione si aprirà a Porto Cervo con il tradizionale Vela & Golf (24-26 maggio). Sarà poi la volta della Giorgio Armani Superyacht Regatta, dal 4 all'8 giugno. All'interno della Giorgio Armani Superyacht Regatta si svolgerà il Southern Wind RendezVous and Trophy.     A giugno spazio alla Classe J/24 che tornerà allo Yccs per il Campionato europeo J/24 in calendario dal 10 al 16. Un altro atteso ritorno sarà la Grand Soleil Cup, una veleggiata organizzata in collaborazione con il Cantiere del Pardo per la quale è attesa una flotta di circa 40 imbarcazioni. Ad agosto saranno in programma il Trofeo Formenton (il 20) e la Palermo-Porto Cervo-Montecarlo, a cui lo Yatch Club offre supporto tecnico. A settembre la Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup (8-14) e la Rolex Swan Cup (15-21). La stagione si concluderà con il Campionato Europeo Etchells, preceduto dalla Smeralda Cup. Gli eventi, aperti a tutte le imbarcazioni Etchells, sono in programma dal 1° al 6 ottobre.
