Made of steel and aluminium, the 45-metre superyacht Carson (ex Alpha) is equipped with twin Caterpillar 3508 diesel engines, giving her a cruising speed of 12 knots. ABS classed, she features a beam of 9,10m (29'86'') and a maximum draught of 2,44m (8'01'').

45.42m superyacht Carson launched at Derecktor shipyard in Florida

The 45.42m superyacht Carson has been launched at the Derecktor shipyard in Florida.

The launch followed work carried out by Derecktor on the yacht, which was sold unfinished earlier this year through Fraser Yachts. The new owner of the boat, originally called Alpha , renamed her Carson and transported her to Derecktor for an unspecified refit.

Carson project director Jim Rosenberg said in a letter to Derecktor, “ Carson is unique given that she is still under construction and not a typical refit project. This tends to make our needs more encompassing of different contractors.”

Rosenberg praised members of the Derecktor team and said, “It was reassuring to have Derecktor on the job working with subcontractors and executing other tasks with true professionalism and a high degree of quality. From the well-orchestrated lift crew to the precise handling of our driveline, I never had the feeling that something could go wrong. That sense of exactitude with the work was very comforting to my team.”

The build was started by Newcastle Marine in Florida with interior design by Murray & Associates in Fort Lauderdale.

The 45.5m/149'3" motor yacht 'Carson' (ex. Alpha) was built by Newcastle in the United States at their Palatka, Florida shipyard. Her interior is styled by design house Hodgdon Yachts and she was delivered to her owner in November 2015. This luxury vessel's exterior design is the work of Murray & Associates.

Carson has been designed to comfortably accommodate up to 10 guests in 5 suites. She is also capable of carrying up to 10 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.

Range & Performance

Carson is built with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, with teak decks. Powered by twin diesel-electric Caterpillar (3508) 1,100hp engines, she comfortably cruises at 12 knots. Her water tanks store around 16,550 Litres of fresh water. She was built to ABS (American Bureau of Shipping) ✠A1, Commercial Yachting Service, ✠AMS classification society rules.

Pundit Tucker Carlson called Moscow “nicer” than any city in the United States and praised Russian President Vladimir Putin ’s governing of the massive world superpower.

“And the most radicalizing thing for me in the eight days I spent in Moscow was not just the leader of the country,” Carlson said during a recent interview at the World Government Summit, calling Putin “capable.”

“What was very shocking, very disturbing was the city of Moscow, where I’d never been … it was so much nicer than any city in my country,” he said, calling the Russian capital “so much cleaner, and prettier aesthetically — its architecture, its food, its service — than any city in the United States.”

Carlson held an exclusive interview with Putin in Russia last week, which the president used to spread propaganda about the ongoing war he is waging on Ukraine and criticize the American government.

Tucker carlson praises moscow as ‘so much nicer’ than any u.s. city.

Tucker Carlson on Monday said Moscow “is so much nicer than any city” in the U.S. as he praised Vladimir Putin following his widely condemned interview with the Russian president amid the ongoing war in Ukraine.

In an interview at the World Governments Summit 2024 held in Dubai , Carlson unloaded on President Joe Biden , calling him “senile” and accusing him of bringing down both living standards and life expectancy in the U.S. as he said he was impressed by the Russian capital.

“What was radicalizing, very shocking and very disturbing for me was the city of Moscow, where I’d never been, the biggest city in Europe, 13 million people, and it is so much nicer than any city in my country,” Carlson said.

“It is so much cleaner and safer and prettier aesthetically, its architecture, its food, its service than any city in the United States,” he continued.

He also commended Putin’s continuous reign over the country, calling him “impressive” despite the fact that his abuse of power has been well-documented as he is expected to be reelected to yet another term next month.

“It’s hard to run a country like that for 24 years whether you like it or not,” Carlson said. “So an incapable person couldn’t do that. He is very capable.”

Carlson has long shown sympathy to the Russian leader and a been a vocal critic of U.S. efforts to continue funding Kyiv.

Putin appears to be reaping the benefits of the platform his two-hour interview with Carlson, where he largely went unchallenged, offered him and his allies ahead of the two-year anniversary of his war in Ukraine.

Julia Davis, the founder of the Russian Media Monitor, shared a clip from an interview Sergey Karaganov, a former Putin adviser and honorary chairman of the Council on Foreign and Defense Policy, gave to Russian state media, indicating how his allies are prepared to use his sitdown with Carlson to push misinformation.

“Karaganov argued that Tucker Carlson’s interview with Putin demonstrates that the US is retreating” from Ukraine, Davis wrote on X. “He said Russia should escalate the situation to make America retreat even sooner and threatened Germany’s existence in the event of a war with NATO.”

Biden on Tuesday urged the House to hold a vote on the bill providing more U.S. funding in Ukraine following its passage in the Senate, emphasizing his commitment to Kyiv.

“Supporting this bill is standing up to Putin,” Biden said. “We can’t walk away now. That’s what Putin is betting on.”
