Bognor Regis Sailing Club
BRSC started life as a sailing and yacht club in 1949. A club house was built in 1950/51 when the club became very popular as a location for sailing the Merlin Rocket, a fast wooden sailing boat.
During the early 80s the then commodore introduced a modern fast catamaran which proved very popular with club members; to this day they are the most favoured craft at the club.
The 80s also saw the introduction of Windsurfing, which was quickly embraced by the club. With catamarans well established and the windsurfing contingency growing, the club developed a more relaxed approach to membership, where members visited the club not just to sail, but to also enjoy the facilities and social events organized by the club.
Today the club is proud of its competitive racing combined with a relaxed atmosphere.

The club is a recognised RYA Sail Training Centre and courses are arranged for adults and juniors throughout the season.

No. BRSC is first and foremost a relaxing pleasant place to be. The sailing is obviously the main activity but not the only one. Non sailing members have all the benefits sailors do, but don't have to get wet! With a pool table, quiz nights, discos, live bands, barbecues on the lawn and the club bar, it's a great place to unwind for you and your family.
Member Support
Brsc is run primarily by volunteers and the club would not function smoothly without them. therefore, we ask all our members to commit to supporting the club however they can. we regularly have club tidy up days and welcome help at these as well as water activity help., to help with this we are introducing a 2 hours a year 'duty' expectation and program called dutyman where people can sign up to help..

Butlins - Poor food in Yacht Club Premium Dining and entertainment gone downhill
We went To Butlins Bognor Regis week commencing 16/7/12 for 4 nights. We were very disappointed with the Premium Dining. Also our deluxe room was not located where they said online. It was miles away facing a big car park. The evening entertainment was very limited aswell. I thought that the food in the Yacht Club was going to be really good but my Kids described it a `school dinners`. We went last year, May 2011, and we all had a great time and the Food was really good with lots of choice and the entertainment used to be a lot better at night. This year was a big disappointment. The food was very poor at the Yacht club with very little choice of food and the same 4 choices of main courses everyday and a choice of sponge cake or cheesecakes for desserts. What is it with cheesecakes? Who likes cheesecakes anyway! It was was if the chef was not given much money/ingredients to prepare the food and had to think what to make. Never again will I go for Premium Dining at all or any Dining package. The evening entertainment was also a let down this year with everything finished by 9.30 and then the kids were bored so spent nearly rest of evening at the slot machines. the entertainment was all about the Redcoats and not much interaction with the the kids at night. The entertainment needs to be on for longer at night. Also there needs to be more free activities and should not charge extra for certain activities as we already pay alot of money (£450) to come to Butlins. What a waste of money. `Poor value for money`. I will be better off going abroad next time. More

I was a bit apprehensive about going to Butlins with my family for a weekend break having never been before but after checking out the reviews and thinking that the Ocean would be the best choice for me and my family i booked it. All i can say is we loved it. The hotel was very very clean our room was spot on with the nice disco lights over the bed and in the bathroom. We had a lovely sea view. Maid service every day they even folded the kids pj`s that they had left on the bed one morning. The breakfast in the morning was lovely, good choice for my wife me and the kids and as much as you wanted. The hotel grounds were well tended and there was always some one cleaning or gardening. Overall my family and i were very impressed with the Hotel and with the Butlins experience aswell. We all had a lovely stay there.
It is our last night here and I have to say that the unspoken heros at Butlins are the staff. From the cleaners to the bar staff, they are what makes Butlins a great place to come to.As I have mentioned before you have Mark the bar man in centre stage, you have Simon the red coat and you have Becka in Bar Rosso but you also have all the other staff that keep the resort clean and tidy and serve you in the shops and bars that make your holiday great. You will never see a member of staff unhappy. They are happy to help with any problem no matter how small.I have to say that Butlins is what it is because of these members of staff who normally don't get a mention it's normally all about the red coats, which don't get me wrong are fantastic but they are only a small portion of the overall customer satisfaction service you get at Butlins. So next time you go to Butlins just take a second to appreciate that Becka in Bar Rosso has been really happy to get you a beer or that Simon the red coat has sat talking to you when he should be getting some much needed sleep and you will see your Butlins holiday in a whole different light. It really is the staff that make a holiday.
Great fun, definate recommend to a friend. Great comedy acts, brill bars and restaurants! just a great weekend - can't wait to go back as I felt like I was on holiday
We took our grandchildren aged 12 and 10 for a week at Butlins. The hotel was actually much more spectacular than we had expected. We had a "Reef apartment" on the 6th floor, with the wrap around balcony. Wonderful comfortable beds, king size for us and twins for the boys. Every convenience in the kitchen etc, although I had no intention of cooking. The apartment is very spacious light and airy. We had premiere dining, used the Reef, food was good and varied except for the deserts, which were the same choice every single day! We went to Turners resturant which we loved as a change, although this was not cheap it was a special treat. I would rate the actual hotel as excellent, having only opened for a couple of weeks one would expect it to be so. After a few minor housekeeping problems, and my husband losing his designated parking space we complained as we had paid over £1700 for this holiday, we were compensated with £60 worth of Butlins vouchers to be spent anywhere in the resort. Butlins is a great place to take children as there is so much for them to do, it is not a cheap holiday at all, all the most exciting things the boys wanted to do came at a cost, (usually £5 a go!) I would feel sorry for a family on a tight budget having to say no to their children with all these tempting things around them. I would imagine if you had under 5s this would not be a problem as they are hardly likely to want go on the go-carts......I was at Butlins Bognor in the 60's so I have seen massive changes. The only complaint I would make is the day trippers, I saw very bad behavior in the fairground and they somewhat overwhelmed the swimming pools. Overall we had a lovely holiday, staff were all excellent, take plenty of money and enjoy.....ps missed the old fashioned knobbly knees and Miss Butlins competions.
Stayed in Shoreline for third year. Lovely hotel and staff very helpful. Butlins is an excellent location for a family holiday and it doesn't really matter about the weather as most things are under cover.
