Charters in The Hamptons was founded by cousins Mike Guanci and JT McCarthy. Having grown up in a boating family, they have been around boats their entire lives. From an early age, Mike and JT worked at their family’s marina on Shelter Island. There, they learned the industry through many summers working as dockhands. They both obtained their USCG captain's license in 2019 and have completed over two hundred charters since. Mike and JT have made a name for themselves within the Sag Harbor boating industry, and look forward to meeting you.

Captain Selection -  You will receive a list of qualified  captain options from which you may choose to elect an available captain  from. All Captains must hold at minimum a USCG 6-Pack License  and have prior experience handling our vessel.  

What To Know

Gratuity is not included in the advertised base charter price, 15-20% of the base charter rate is standard for tipping. 

Fast speed cruising request and long distance destination requests will incur additional  fuel surcharge  fees. Please inquire for a quote if you are planning this type of trip with the vessel. 

The boat has a fantastic sound system so please feel free to connect your devices to our Bluetooth . We suggest having a playlist ready to go!

We have two refrigerators  and a small freezer on board. If you plan on bringing large amounts of food and beverage, please bring along a cooler as well. 

Due to the sensitivity  of the yachts flooring and deck, shoes are not to be worn on board the vessel 

What To Bring

Bring any food and beverages along that you'd like

Bring a towel if you plan on swimming!

Bring a properly fitted lifejacket for any children under 10 years of age

What Not To Bring

No self tanning, spray sunscreen, or bronzer is allowed onboard or on person as it can stain the yacht upholstery  and flooring. 

Avoid wearing denim or jean articles of clothing as the dyes can seep into yachts upholstery  when wet.

No Temporary Hair Dye or Wigs. The ink seeps out from moisture and humidity and can stain and damage the yacht. 

We do not allow BBQ   equipment , hookah, shisha, or other items that utilize open flames, gas, propane, coals, etc. 

No glitter or confetti allowed on the yacht

Pets are not allowed on the yacht. 

We accept Credit Card, PayPal, Venmo, Zelle, Wire Transfer or Bank Transfer, Cash or Certified Check.

Any Payments over $3000 are payable  via Credit Card,  Zelle , wire or bank transfer only. 

A refundable $500 security deposit is required to lock in your date . 

All payments must be made by 1 Charter Guest.

All Credit Card payments come with a 3.5% processing fee.

Mary Lloyd  Boat Charters

Join us aboard for an unforgettable day around the coastal waters of the hamptons, ny., day and sunset cruising in style, www.marylloydboatcharters.com, about the boat.

The Mary Lloyd offers the perfect setting to spend a day on the water sharing the romance of a bygone era with a group of friends or family. She can comfortably accommodate up to six guests for a day of cruising, swimming, dining, exploring or just relaxing.

The boat has a large comfortable back deck to lounge about on with a table to dine at. The area is partly shaded and also in the sun. Canvas sides can be rolled down to give shelter from the wind and rain should that ever be neccesary. The original swimming ladder makes taking a dip easy. The spacious bow of the boat is also a delightful place to spend time relaxing and soaking up the magic of the experience.

Inside the cabin are two sofas that convert to bunk beds, a small galley kitchen and bathroom with a hot shower and electric flush wc. 

Catering for any occasion formal or informal can be arranged.

The Mary Lloyd was built in 1939 by ELCO. She is 30ft in length of cedar on white oak construction fitted and trimed with mahogany throughout. Her lines capture the romance and style of this bygone era perfectly.

As far as we are aware there are no more Elco's afloat like her, she truly is unique!

4hr  Cruise  $1350 , or 6hr Cruises $1800.00 for up to 6 guests. ( Includes Captain and crew, fuel and ice)

Come and join us for a half day or full day  cruise tailored to suit. The Mary Lloyd boat is located in Three Mile Harbor, East Hampton, NY but we can also collect and drop off by arrangement at other locations in the area. We can set sail in the morning or afternoon, cruise around and explore the area, drop anchor, take a dip or lounge around unwinding on the water. 

Nearby locations to sail to or be collected from are Shelter Island, Sag Harbor, Gardiners Island and Three Mile Harbor. 

Sunset Cruise rates from $900  for up to 6 guests, ( Approx 2 hrs. Includes Captain and crew, fuel and ice)

The Mary Lloyd offers a perfect end of to the day, a relaxing sunset cruise aboard this classic wooden boat watching the sun go down while sipping a cocktail with friends or family.

We will provide ice and water and  you are welcome to bring your own drinks or food aboard. Dinner or apps can be organized with our chef or we can return you to land in time for dinner plans. Timings of sunset cruises by arrangement depending on time of year.

Weddings (and proposals!) rates by arrangement

This classic and romantic boat offers an idyllic and charming setting to hold an intimate and unique wedding ( or proposal if you haven't got that far yet!). There are many beautiful locations in the area to choose as a backdrop for your event. Catering can be arranged on board or we can return you to land to perhaps one of the wonderful water front restaurants or venues in the area to hold a reception to celebrate with a larger number of guests. 

The Mary Lloyd is also available as a location for photo shoots.

Scott, a US Coast Guard certified Captain and his wife Sara, or daughter Mali, will be delighted to host you and look forward to welcoming you aboard the beautiful Mary Lloyd to share in the unique experience of cruising and relaxing on this classic wooden boat that has been a much loved part of their family for twenty years. They will look after you as attentively or discreetly as desired.

Their local knowledge of this gorgeous boating region means you are guaranteed an unforgetable voyage.

Sara has been registered to legally perform marriage services aboard the boat and Scott is also a professional photographer who if required can capture the day for you. The cost of the crew is included in your charter rate but gratuities appreciated!
