It did not take him long to gain a wealth of experience. He has clocked up thousands of miles on yachts such as M/Y Printemps, S/Y Manu, S/Cat Araok and now finds himself as captain aboard FREE AT LAST. He also has a lots of racing experience having participated in several regattas. Job Description: Sylvain is responsible for navigation, safety, the overall running and financial management of the vessel, crew, and guests. He always ensures the safe and efficient operation of the yacht, including compliance with all safety procedures and regulations. He takes care of adhering to flag regulations, port state and local laws and regulations, and manages the crew to ensure adherence to, and a full understanding of, the vessel’s policies. He provides daily leadership for the crew and encourages teamwork, individual growth, and personal attention by delegating duties and supervising all crew tasks. The expenses, such as provisioning, fuel, marina fees, are deducted from the APA. The APA is based on the price of the yacht and ranges from 15% (crewed sailing yachts) to 30% (motor yachts with higher fuel consumption). You can actively control these expenses in your preference sheet (local vs. imported beverages) and by choice of itinerary (distances traveled). FREE AT LAST , previously known as Concordia , is a 28.8 m / 94′6″ luxury sailing yacht . She was built in Spain by the shipyard Monty North in 2001.The exterior and interior, designed by Marcelo Penna , reflect an exceptional creative synthesis between the pursuit of maximum comfort and excellent sailing performance.

With a beam of 6.8 m she is powered by MTU engines of 250 hp each giving her a maximum speed of 11 knots and a cruising speed of 10 knots, with engine propulsion. Her sailing performance is given by her sloop sailing system, equipped with a sail area of over 350 square metres.

FREE AT LAST exterior, simple and linear, does not compromise her comfort. Boarding is via a comfortable hydraulic gangway, and from the stern we are invited to proceed towards the comfortable cockpit. Two large steering-wheels at stern, are ideal both for quiet sailing with friends and family but also for competitive regattas where performance is required.

Almost central, and immediately forward of the steering-wheel area, the wonderful teak flush deck includes a comfortable cockpit, characterized by two large multifunctional U-shaped sofas. The cockpit area is ideal for dining or for an aperitif with friends and family. It creates the perfect atmosphere to feel relaxed and on vacation. The two large sofas also guarantee the possibility of using them as a sunbathing area, both with the boat at anchor and during navigation, since the backrests of the sofas create protection from the wind.

FREE AT LAST exterior is equipped with a spray hood for useful wind protection aft of the cockpit area and by two big awnings, one over the cockpit and one at the bow to create cool shady areas.

From the cockpit, through the hydraulic hatch, you can descend a staircase to access the areas below deck.

The large open-space lounge welcomes its guests with a homely atmosphere but at the same time is minimal in style. The warm wood treated with light and modern lines, accompanied by simple and technical deep-blue fabrics, creates a pleasant and comfortable environment for every situation. The whole environment is bathed in natural light from sunrise to sunset, thanks to the large portholes on three sides and two large hatches on the white ceiling.

FREE AT LAST living open space has a large dining table on the right and three sofas with a wide smoking table on the left. A large flat screen TV guarantees great digital entertainment on days less suitable for swimming and diving, or for a good movie in the evening.

Continuing towards the bow, a beautifully lit corridor leads to the guest cabins, ending in the bow with the wide owner’s cabin.

To the sides of the corridor we find the two guest cabins: on the right a cabin with two single beds and the possibility of a third bunk bed; on the left a convertible double/twin cabin (double bed or two single beds to be requested in advance to the crew). Both guest cabins have an en-suite bathroom: sink, shower, toilet and bidet.

At the end of the corridor, at the far bow, is the wonderful owner’s cabin which is extremely spacious and feels much larger than its 29 metres! Equipped with wardrobes and numerous drawers to store personal items, on the right we find a small desk that can be used as an office area, on the left a comfortable sofa that completes the interior furnishings of this luxurious main cabin. The large central bed hides a lovely gem behind: namely access to an anteroom, which from the cabin side, turns out to be the headboard of the bed. The anteroom boasts a glass wall that introduces the two sinks resting on a piece of furniture with simple lines, playing with light and dark colours and decorated with careful leather details.

Finally, beyond the anteroom wall, which also serves as a walk-in closet, we find the owner’s bathroom, made entirely of teak, with the exception of the white ceiling which, as in the rest of the sailing yacht , increases the freshness and brightness. This very large space that houses the bathroom with its spacious shower, gives the guests the impression of being in a private spa.

Aft of FREE AT LAST living area, on the right side, we find a small desk for nautical chart work. On the left, the open kitchen is slightly hidden by the entrance staircase and opens onto a small L-shaped corridor and a few steps, allowing some privacy for the chef while preparing his tasty cuisine.

FREE AT LAST stern is a dedicated to the crew, which consists of the Captain, chef, hostess and mate: an experienced crew of 4 ready to meet every need of its guests. FREE AT LAST can comfortably sleep a maximum of 7 people in 3 ensuite cabins.

Sylvain Lesniak

Sail and Work Experience: Sylvain has never been far from the sea; he began his career in the French Navy working as a firefighter and a submariner before deciding to move into the commercial sailing sector. It did not take him long to gain a wealth of experience. He has clocked up thousands of miles on yachts such as M/Y Printemps, S/Y Manu, S/Cat Araok and now finds himself as captain aboard FREE AT LAST. He also has a lots of racing experience having participated in several regattas. Job Description: Sylvain is responsible for navigation, safety, the overall running and financial management of the vessel, crew, and guests. He always ensures the safe and efficient operation of the yacht, including compliance with all safety procedures and regulations. He takes care of adhering to flag regulations, port state and local laws and regulations, and manages the crew to ensure adherence to, and a full understanding of, the vessel’s policies. He provides daily leadership for the crew and encourages teamwork, individual growth, and personal attention by delegating duties and supervising all crew tasks. Sail and Work Experience: Following a successful career in the French police force, Dimitri has decided to follow his passion for sailing and train as a yacht deckhand. Often enjoying sailing on smaller boats in his free time, Dimitri is comfortable with being out on the water and handling equipment. Sail and Work Experience: Beginning her yachting career as a stewardess in 2017, Martina has always had excellent organisational skills in both team and individual work, respecting deadlines and problem solving where necessary. Martina has managed interior teams on smaller sailing and motor yachts before, gaining leadership skills and a refined ability to anticipate the needs of guests onboard. Job Description: Martina is responsible for organization, management, and cleanliness of all interiors. She maintains an accurate inventory of all service items and supplies. She ensures cleaning and preparation of the vessel to the highest standards prior to all guest trips. In charge of vessel provisioning for both guests and crew, and all aspects of daily life. When guests are onboard, she ensures they are properly cared for and that all their requirements are met. She offers a particular attention to details and a polite and entertaining spirit. Martina La Lumia

Sail and Work Experience: A yacht chef since 2020, Martina has quickly risen through the ranks and gained experience on yachts such as M/Y Aria and S/Y Blue Destiny. Before joining the yachting world and transforming her passion for gourmet cuisine into her professional job, Martina worked as a social worker for many years. Trained in Malta, Martina offers a high standard of service and enjoys using creativity to produce memorable dishes. Job Description: As the Chef, Martina is responsible for the crew and guest meals throughout the charter, ensuring that the food is enjoyable, the interior of the yacht is clean and serviceable and that all dietary requirements are met. She is a creative cook, varying her meals to provide variety and according to the location of FREE AT LAST, to have as much relevance as possible to the country being visited. FREE AT LAST

FREE AT LAST is a very nice 28 meters sailboat, constructed in 2001 by the shipyard Monty North in Spain as a luxury sailing yacht and renovated in 2022 in order to be offered for charter with her crew. Maintained meticulously by her owners, the interior and exterior of the yacht reflect a sense of both comfort and performance as designed originally by Marcelo Penna.

Boarding FREE AT LAST immediately leads to her delightful teak flush deck, featuring U-shaped sofas and two large steering wheels at stern. Ideal for both cruising with friends and family as well as competitive regattas, the space is expansive enough for dining al fresco with a relaxed atmosphere. The sofas can be converted into sunbathing areas should guests wish, and become shaded by awnings to protect from midday heat.

FREE AT LAST boasts a large open space inside, creating a cosy atmosphere through warm wooden decor and grey shades fabrics. Also, bundance of natural light passes through the large portholes. The space opens onto a corridor leading to the two guest cabins as well as the owner's cabin, very spacious, with plenty of storage space. FREE AT LAST can accommodate 8 people on board.

The kitchen is located the opposite end of the yacht to avoid any disturbances for guests on board. Among the professional crew, an experienced chef will be able to accommodate any dietary requirements and create fresh and tasty dishes.

The 10 Most-Exciting Yacht Debuts at the Palm Beach International Boat Show

For superyacht shoppers, the Palm Beach International Boat Show, kicking off its four-day run this week, is set to break records with more than 60 yachts over 100 feet long on display. Last year was also a banner year for superyachts at the show.

Headliners will include the likes of the 295-foot Corsair Nero , the 278-foot Victorious by AKYacht, the 230-foot Turquoise-built Talisman C , and 213-foot Benetti Triumph among brokerage yachts, and in new yachts, the 113-foot Ocean Alexander Puro 35 is making its world debut.

There are so many gleaming white vessels over 100 feet, in fact, that the fleet will be split between the Palm Harbor Marina at the main show site on the downtown West Palm Beach waterfront and the Safe Harbor Rybovich Marina two miles north.

Now in its 42nd year, PBIBS will also showcase hundreds of models of dayboats, cruisers, and fishing boats, as well as marine accessories. Running from this Thursday through Sunday, the show coincides with the Palm Beach Modern + Contemporary art show, a fortuitous opportunity for yacht owners wanting to add new art to their collections.

Here are 10 must-see boats at this year’s show.

Corsair Yachts ‘Nero’

The undisputed star of this year’s Palm Beach show? That would be the 295-foot, classically styled superyacht Nero , built in 2007 and inspired by American financier J.P. Morgan’s legendary 1930s steamer Corsair IV . Nero ‘s attendance at PBIBS marks its return to the charter market after an extensive refit in 2021. Now better than new, the boat is being managed by Burgess. With weekly charter rates from $497,000, the vessel offers five-star accommodations for 12 guests in six cabins, with pampering from a crew of 20. Part of the refit included a full interior refresh by Italian interior designer Laura Pomponi, plus a major focus on wellness. That meant the construction of a new, state-of-the-art gym and spa, the assistance of a certified onboard trainer, a masseuse and beautician. After PBIBS, Nero will spend the winter in the Caribbean before returning to the Med for the summer season.

Ocean Alexander Puro 35P

Ocean Alexander is debuting the first of its new Puro superyacht series at PBIBS. The 113-foot Puro 35P comes from the drawing board of Italian designer Giorgio M. Cassetta and is a step back from the polarizing lines of OA’s recent Revolution and Explorer series with their bold, vertical bow designs. Aimed at long-distance cruising, the 35P can carry over 5,000 gallons of fuel and is powered by twin 2,000 hp MAN V12s for a 24-knot top speed. Twin 55kW Kohler generators can also keep the yacht powered at anchor for long periods. Other standout features include extensive glazing in the chiseled fiberglass hull, a forward deck plunge pool, and spacious accommodations for 10 guests.

Think of it as the “starter” Sirena. Aimed at a younger demographic, the Turkish builder’s brand-new Sirena 48 is making its U.S. debut at PBIBS after a global reveal at last fall’s Cannes boat show. Such is its appeal that 27 hulls have already been sold, with 13 of the orders coming from North America. Looking like a scaled-down version of Sirena’s popular 58, its distinctive, trawler-style lines are from Argentinian designer Germán Frers. With more interior space than a typical 48-footer, the yacht offers three staterooms—plus a crew cabin—a spacious, light-filled salon, a large cockpit, an oversized flybridge, and a vast forward social area. Take your pick from twin 550 hp Cummins QSB, or 670 hp Volvo D11 turbo diesels. Feadship ‘Olympus’

Picture purchasing a classic 180-foot Feadship superyacht, and then getting a $10 million bill for a major refit. That was the case with Olympus , built by the Dutch masters at Feadship in 1996 to a design by Britain’s Andrew Winch and the celebrated naval architect Frits De Voogt. Sold in 2022, the new owner sent it to the Monaco Marine refit center in La Ciotat, France for a major makeover. It included overhauling the 2,600 hp Caterpillar engines and generators, repairs to the structure, substantial upgrades to the guest areas and crew quarters, and new paint throughout. With the work completed just last year, the vessel is said to be in mint condition. Offered jointly by brokers Fraser and Edmiston, Olympus has an asking price of $28.5 million. With accommodations for 16 guests in eight cabins, the boat’s highlights include two primary suites, tropical-spec air conditioning, and Palm Beach-chic decor.

Benetti ‘Triumph’

Italian yachting powerhouse Benetti is showing off its superyacht-building skills with the 213-foot Triumph . Delivered in 2021, this Giorgio M. Cassetta-designed steel-and-aluminum world girder features six decks, a 1,400-square-foot primary suite with outdoor terrace and adjoining lounge, a 750-square-foot beach club, and a touch-and-go helipad. What sets Triumph apart, however, is its lavish interior furnishings put together by the owner along with Benetti Interior Style and Monaco-based Green & Mingarelli Design. It includes pieces by French glassmaker Lalique, marble from Marfil, Statuario and Armani, furs, silk and wool carpets, plus a collection of cool black-and-white wildlife photographs by British fine art photographer David Yarrow. The pièce de résistance? That would be the owner’s Triumph Bonneville motorcycle displayed in the salon.

Fjord 39 XP/XL

Germany’s Fjord Yachts, part of the Hanse Group, has a new 39-foot day boat that it’s unveiling at the Palm Beach show. The 39 XP and XL keep all the bold design cues of the bigger Fjord 41 XP and XL, like a big, open cockpit, walkaround center console, vertical bow, mile-high windshield and stretched hardtop. As for the differences between the XP and XL, it’s all about power. The XL comes with a choice of twin 320hp Volvo D4 diesels, or bigger 440 hp D6 versions, both with Volvo stern drives. Likely more appealing to U.S. buyers will be the XP powered by twin 400 hp Mercury Verado V10 outboards giving a 50-knot top speed. Pricing starts at around $500,000.

Turquoise ‘Talisman C’

Chandeliers don’t come more dramatic than this. Cascading down the central spiral staircase of the Turkish-built, 231-foot superyacht Talisman C , this jaw-dropping piece of art comprises an array of multi-colored glass balls threaded on stainless-steel rods and illuminated by hanging fiber-optic strands. It’s the creation of Prague-based Crystal Caviar and is one of a number of glass installations on this sleek, low-profile superyacht. Built in 2011 by the Proteksan Turquoise shipyard, Talisman C was designed inside and out by London-based studio H2 Yacht Design, with naval architecture by Italy’s Hydro Tec. With cabins for 12 guests, one of its highlights is a huge primary suite, which boasts more crystal chandeliers and a private library. Twin 2,447 hp Caterpillar diesels give a top speed of 18 knots and a transatlantic range of 7,000 nautical miles at 12 knots. It’s listed with Burgess for $59.9 million.

Sanlorenzo 44 ‘Kamakasa’

Delivered in 2020 and sold to a new buyer just last August, the 146-foot Sanlorenzo 44 Alloy Kamakasa will be for sale at PBIBS. The asking price, through the Italian Yacht Group, is $23.75 million. Lack of use might also be the issue here; the yacht’s twin 2,600 hp MTU V16 diesels have a mere 289 hours on the clock. Built in aluminum to a design by Rome-based Zuccon International Project, Kamakasa was the second hull in the Sanlorenzo 44 Alloy series. One of the top features is a primary suite that spans three levels and almost 1,600 square feet; it also comes with a private Jacuzzi, separate bathrooms, a walk-in closet, and a private study. The yacht’s lightweight construction and MTU power combine to deliver an impressive 20-knot top speed.

Bahama 41 GT2

As ultimate, reel-’em-in, fishing center consoles go, the Bahama 41 from West Palm Beach-based Bahama Boat Works is as hard-core as they come. But when owners kept asking for a little more comfort for the family, the builder responded. The result is the brand-new flagship 41 GT debuting at PBIBS. While the proven, wave-slicing hull stays the same, the cockpit layout is new. In place of the single bench seat, there are now three-across bucket seats with a second row behind. The wider console now has space for a pair of 22-inch Garmin screens, while the new extended hardtop features sun shades and even a rain shower. Outboard choices stay the same with either twin Mercury V12 600s, or four 400 hp Mercury V10s, good for a 65-knot-plus top speed. Pricing is from around $920,000.

Heesen ‘Book Ends’

Launched in 2022, this 164-foot Heesen is part of the Book Ends collection, owned by an American couple who have had more than 18 yachts with the same name. The exterior design of this Heesen was by Omega Architects, while Dutch studio Van Oossanen did the naval architecture. The yacht is part of Heesen’s fast cruising series, which is more efficient than other vessels its size, and can reach 23 knots at full speed with its MTU 16V 4000 M65L engines. The yacht is listed through Ocean Independence for 42 million Euro, or about $45.7 million.

The Palm Beach International Boat Show kicks off later this week.
Eight megayachts are expected to be on display for would-be buyers and charter customers.
These are the show's biggest yachts — and how many millions of dollars they are going for.

The Palm Beach International Boat Show — the yacht world's flashiest event stateside — is returning this year with over 800 boats for both deep-pocketed potential owners and window shoppers to peruse.

While it's impossible to know what exactly will be on display until the show begins on Thursday, it's expected that eight megayachts — generally defined as ships over 60 meters long — will be docked at the show and at nearby marinas like the Rybovich Marina in the ritzy Florida town.

Some of these are for sale at eye-popping prices, but others are available to charter in case you fancy living like a billionaire for a week or two this summer (and if you have six figures to spare on a vacation).

These are the eight biggest yachts that will be at the Palm Beach International Boat Show and nearby marinas, in size order.

Nero: 90.1 meters

Price: From $497,000 a week (charter) Standout features: Pizza ovens, beauty salon, massage room, resistance pool

Reportedly owned by Irish billionaire Denis O'Brien, Nero is modeled after J.P. Morgan's 1930s ship , and was built in 2007 and updated in 2021.

She now boasts a gym on her sundeck with multiple cardio machines and a beauty salon, and has an on-board beautician for manicure, pedicure, hair, and massage needs. There's also an upgraded movie theater, two new pizza ovens, and both a pool and a jacuzzi.

For those who want to go overboard, she has more than a dozen toys, including a waterslide, Jet Ski, and flyboard.

Victorious: 85 meters

Price: From $876,600 a week in the summer and $950,000 a week in the winter Standout features: Hammam (Turkish bath), wine cellar, wood-burning fireplace, children's playroom

Victorious brings a party vibe to the yacht show. With a beach club on board, a wine cellar, a cigar clubroom , multiple bars, and a lounge with a piano, the vessel is made for entertaining. Plus, there's a playroom and movie theater to entertain the kids.

For tamer charter clients, Victorious has a suite of wellness features such as a gym, massage room, beauty salon and hammam — perhaps a custom request of her owner, Turkish businessman Vural Ak.

Talisman C: 70.6 meters

Likely the largest yacht for sale (not just charter) at the show, the Talisman C is a 2011 six-bedroom boat. The owner's cabin comes with an en suite bathroom, dressing room, private library, and crystal chandeliers.

Amenities include a gym, a beauty room, oversized jacuzzi, and a fully equipped bar. Her crew of 19 includes a trained masseuse, and the toy room comes equipped with a wakeboard, eFoil , and WaveRunners.

Joy: 70 meters

Superyacht Joy testifies to the fact that owners want as many on-board experiences as they can get.

There's an expansive suite of fitness features, including a basketball court (don't shoot that hoop too hard!), a personal trainer on staff, boxing equipment, and a handful of machines. This 2021 superyacht is named after Triumph motorcycles — a reported favorite of her rumored owner, British businessman Chris Dawson — and even has one on display as an art piece in the upper deck's lounge. The primary suite is 1,400 square feet and has its own study , and there's a sauna, an indoor-outdoor gym, a helipad, and a massage room spread among her six decks.

She boasts an "armada of water toys," including two kinds of Jet Skis, electric water bikes, and a banana boat.

Seanna: 64.5 meters

Price: $54,000,000 (or from $462,000 a week to charter) Special features: marble foyer, movie room, sundeck pool

The recently refurbished Seanna is available for sale and charter.

Her indoor-outdoor gym is on sea level so that passengers can take a dip after a session with the onboard personal trainer. There's also a sundeck pool, a helipad, a two-room massage facility, and, for the more cerebral guests, a library with an electric fireplace.

There are a number of toys on board, including a popular water trampoline and two WaveRunners.

Come Together: 60 meters

Price: $65,000,000 Special Features: DJ and videographer on board, ice bath, sauna

Next-to-new yacht Come Together is looking for a new owner after doing charters during the 2023 season.

The Beatles' influence is evident beyond the yacht's name, with guitars dotting the sky lounge and a crewmember who doubles as a DJ. There's also an outdoor cinema and bar for entertainment and an ice bath and sauna for the day after the party. The owner's suite has a private study and lounge, and each guest cabin has its own ensuite.

The sale includes a number of toys, like Jet Skis, kayaks, and Seabobs.

Michigan State basketball led by as much as 12 points halfway through the first half against 1 seeded North Carolina on Saturday, as the Spartans looked for their first ever win against the Tar Heels in March Madness.

What seemed like another Tom Izzo masterclass, however, was quickly turned around, as North Carolina went on a 23-3 run to end the second half, never looking back.

The Spartans fell to North Carolina 85-69 in the second round of the NCAA Tournament at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina, on Saturday, moving to 0-6 all-time against the Tar Heels in the Big Dance.

Michigan State guard Tyson Walker scored 24 points on 9-of-16 shooting, while Malik Hall scored 17 and Jaden Akins added 11.

Mega Millions jackpot nears $1 billion ahead of Friday drawing

The Mega Millions jackpo t climbed to an estimated $977 million ahead of Friday night's drawing.

No winning ticket matched all six numbers for the $893 million jackpot Tuesday. The numbers drawn were: 24, 46, 49, 62, 66 and the gold ball 7.

The prize money has been building for 29 consecutive drawings since the last winning jackpot Dec. 8.

This is only the sixth time in game history that the jackpot has gone as high as $977 million, according to Mega Millions officials. The five jackpots that topped the current prize were all m o re than $1 billion .

The current game record of $1.6 billion was set last August.

A sole winner of the jackpot Friday can choose to be paid in a lump sum of about $461 million before taxes or through an annuity for the full amount with annual payments over 30 years.

Meanwhile, the Powerball jackpot has also been growing steadily, reaching an estimated $687 million ahead of Wednesday night's drawing. The last jackpot win in that game was on New Year's Day.

Mega Millions tickets cost $2 per play and are sold in 45 states, Washington, D.C., and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The odds of winning the jackpot are roughly 1 in 302.6 million.

$90 million all-pro gives preferred free agent destination.

Four-time Pro Bowler and one-time All-Pro cornerback Xavien Howard has a case as the best free agent remaining at his position. Following an unceremonious release from the Miami Dolphins, the former second-round pick promised he would not return to the team, even at a discounted rate. While he has yet to choose his next team, the cornerback is hoping one organization shows interest in him.

The AFC is crowded with talent, as teams like the Kansas City Chiefs, Baltimore Ravens, Buffalo Bills, and Cincinnati Bengals are all among the best in the league. While these heavyweights were probably the four best teams of the past five years, younger teams like the Houston Texans are looking to challenge their conference supremacy.

Led by young quarterback C.J. Stroud, the Texans surprised everyone by making it to the AFC Divisional Round during Stroud’s rookie season. After adding several key playmakers during free agency, Houston is set to establish themselves as a legitimate Super Bowl contender. Xavien Howard is impressed with what the team has done and hopes to sign with the Texans as a free agent.

Xavien Howard Would “Love To” Sign With Texans As A Free Agent

During a recent appearance on The OG’s Podcast , Xavien Howard discussed his immediate future as a free agent. When asked about the Texans specifically, the four-time Pro Bowler wasted no time in praising the organization.

“I would love to do that; back at home, the crib. I have Houston Rockets and the Texans tatted on me…It’s a realistic option for me. They have a hell of a quarterback. I love a defensive coach.”

As you can see, there are plenty of reasons why Xavien Howard would want to sign with the Texans as a free agent. In addition to all the talent on the roster, Howard is from Houston and would love nothing more than to deliver a championship to his city. The Texans, meanwhile, need someone to start opposite Derek Stingley.

This fit makes plenty of sense for both sides, but at the end of the best, Xavien Howard will probably sign with the highest bidder as a free agent. While Howard isn’t the same lockdown corner he used to be, he can still help a defense and you can never have too many reliable cornerbacks. In no particular order, these five teams could prevent Howard from going to Houston.

Other Team Fits

The Kansas City Chiefs need to find another starting cornerback with L’Jarius Sneed now on the Titans . Xavien Howard is not nearly as good as Sneed, but the free agent is more than capable of handling starting duties opposite Trent McDuffie. While Kansas City doesn’t have the same hometown appeal as Houston, they do have a great quarterback and high odds of hoisting the Lombardi in 2024.

The Indianapolis Colts are looking for a new cornerback, as they were supposedly in the running for L’Jarius Sneed. After losing him to the Titans, free agent Xavien Howard could be a fine consolation prize. Last year, Indianapolis came one dropped pass away from making the playoffs despite not having Anthony Richardson for most of the season. With their first-round pick back and healthy again, the Colts could win a competitive AFC South if they improve their secondary.

Even though he spent most of last year on the injured reserve, the Buffalo Bills could use a replacement for Tre’Davious White. Now with $8.5 million in cap space, this team should be able to afford Xavien Howard as a free agent. The Bills will always remain competitive as long as Josh Allen is their quarterback, but they could use some more help in the secondary if they finally want to make it to the Super Bowl.

The Detroit Lions need a cornerback, especially since Cameron Sutton is no longer in the picture. This team came one or two plays away from being NFC Champions, and they did it despite a mediocre defense. With all the offensive pieces coming back for another season, it stands to reason that this team could win it all with an improved secondary. At this point in the offseason, Xavien Howard is arguably the best choice left on the free agent market.

Derek Carr’s New Orleans Saints will have a solid offense, but they’re not going to be able to win every game in a shootout. With this in mind, this team needs to build a strong defense that can keep them in games against elite competition. Marshon Lattimore is still a solid cornerback when healthy, and pairing him with a free agent like Xavien Howard would give this team a reliable set of starters. While both players have dropped off a bit since their peak, they’re still good enough to help New Orleans compete for the NFC South crown.

Given that Mark Zuckerberg enjoys a respectable 16th place on a list of the world’s richest people, he probably figured it was time for him to acquire one of the ultimate status symbols for the mega-wealthy — a super yacht.

A new report from The Sun said that Zuckerberg is now the proud owner of a $300 million vessel that he has christened “Launchpad.” The 387-foot-long vessel, which comes with a helipad and a $30 million companion boat, was seen docked this week at Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, with its unique chrome finish reflecting in the sun.

This purchase shows, among other things, that the Facebook and Meta founder and CEO has branched out from buying islands and building an underground complex to help him survive the apocalypse. Perhaps, he wants to cruise the Mediterranean this summer and be among the moguls who can play host to Leonardo DiCaprio.

The yacht definitely grants him admission to the watery playgrounds of such multibillionaires as Jeff Bezos, Larry Ellison, Bill Gates and any of the Russian oligarchs who haven’t been the target of sanctions imposed by the United States or its allies over Russia’s 2022 invasion of Ukraine.

In fact, Zuckerberg reportedly came by Launchpad due to the misfortunes of one of those oligarchs. The yacht originally was commissioned to be built by Vladimir Potanin, one of Russia’s richest men who is on multiple sanctions list, according to a report by Autoevolution.com , a transportation industry site. The yacht was known as Project 1010, and the shipbuilder in the Netherlands was legally barred from delivering it to Potanin when it was completed in 2022, though Autoevolution also said that Potanin was not the yacht’s actual owner.

The Sun reported that the yacht recently received “special permission” to be imported. It has since arrived in the United States, a couple months ahead of Zuckerberg’s 40th birthday on May 14 — which raises the question of whether he meant Launchpad as a birthday gift to himself.

It’s quite a gift: Launchpad can comfortably fit 24 guests aboard. It also requires a crew of 48 and is said to cost $30 million a year for upkeep and usage, according to Superyachtfan.com . But shelling out $30 million for maintenance a year shouldn’t be a problem for Zuckerberg, who reportedly earns between $6 million and $12 million a day, The Sun said.

But as spectacular as Launchpad sounds, super yacht fans might say it’s not as spectacular as Jeff Bezos’s super yacht, Koru. The $500 million sailing vessel features very tall masts, a swimming pool, a helipad and room for a second, smaller yacht. The most noteworthy thing about Koru is that Bezos commissioned a special sculpture to decorate its prow. It’s a “curvaceous winged goddess” that is said to bear a striking resemblance to his fiancee Lauren Sanchez.

The Amazon founder, his wife-to-be and the goddess figurehead spent much of last summer sailing around the Mediterranean, cruising from Spain to Croatia and hosting such famous guests as Katy Perry, Orlando Bloom and Usher. The couple also threw a lavish engagement party off the coast of Positano on Italy’s Amalfi coast, attended by another pack of famous friends, including Kris Jenner, Wendi Murdoch and, yes, Leonardo DiCaprio.

2 Arrested for Murder of North Carolina Teen at Roanoke River Boat Ramp

Police in North Carolina have arrested two people after a 19-year-old man was found shot dead a Roanoke River boat ramp last week.

Gaston Police and the Northampton County Sheriff’s Office said they were investigating whether Sherrod Ahmad Person was lured to the ramp for the killing.

Investigators were called to the scene at about 7:15 a.m. on March 16 for a car partly in the water at the Gaston Boat Landing. Person was found dead in the vehicle from “multiple gunshot wounds.”

Gaston Police Chief C.W. Bowser told WNCN that Curtis Ra’heem Sessoms and Marquel Tyreik Hudson, both 22, had been arrested on Thursday and charged with murder. Other charges are possible, he said.

The chief said that detectives are looking into reports that Person had told someone he thought a meeting he’d been asked to attend the night before his body was found was a possible “set up.” The North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation is assisting, he said.

Sessoms and Hudson are scheduled to appear in court on April 4.
