Creole: On board the sailing yacht owned by the Gucci family

Launched 94 years ago, Creole has quite some history. But under the loving stewardship of the Gucci family, this classic schooner still sails like a dream...

Allegra Gucci’s classic sailing yacht Creole has graced the cover of Boat International before — but you may not have realised. The classic image (March 2015, for devoted collectors of this magazine) features a 1955 photograph of Sophia Loren at her most alluring, bound in a shimmering bodice, with this vast schooner in the background. The boat puts up an impressive fight for the viewer’s attention.

The extraordinary yacht and the family’s other classic, 18.3 metre Avel , are under the loving stewardship of Allegra, younger daughter of the late Maurizio Gucci — and she is guarding her father’s legacy with skill. She may be the scion of a fashion dynasty, having grown up between residences in New York and St Moritz (where she still resides now with her husband and small child) but she is also a serious sailor with a law degree, who can usually be spotted working on deck during races — or getting her hands dusty at a shipyard when on land.

“It’s like a small industry. A boat like Creole , in composite with double teak, needs maintenance — every year we take her out of the water for it. Black paint is not the best paint for a wooden boat, but Creole was born like this and we like to keep her that way.” Gucci may wear a Rolex but it’s the sailor’s arm candy of choice — a Submariner.

On and off the water, she seems happier in action than in a ball gown. “When I met my husband 12 years ago he introduced me to the world of motorcycles and fast cars. We share our passions and I really enjoy driving supercars on circuits. At the same time, he loves sailing, regattas and classic yachts.” Her current favourite ride is the McLaren 570S, which she took for a spin at Goodwood. But sailing on Creole , as she puts it, “has always been my first passion”.

Maurizio Gucci, the last member of the family dynasty to run the fashion empire, shared the same enthusiasm for the water and bought Creole in 1983, two years after Allegra was born. “I think at the time it was a little bit crazy,” she says. “We’re talking about the beginning of the 1980s, when there was not the knowledge we have now about restoring classic boats. And obviously Creole is not a normal classic yacht, she is an enormous classic yacht .”

Indeed, this 65.3 metre behemoth is the largest wooden sailing yacht in the world. Creole was launched as Vira by Camper & Nicholsons in 1927 for US carpet manufacturer Alexander Smith Cochran, who messed about a little too much with the design post-splash. He thought the masts looked too tall and had them cut (too much), adding more ballast to compensate for the newly stumpy masts. The result was too much roll and poor performance.

Her next owner was British yachtsman Maurice Pope, who renamed her Creole after a dessert invented by his chef, and then she was bought by an English baronet. Now she could sail, but the timing was poor — she was requisitioned for wartime service as a mine-hunter. Afterwards a new buyer, Greek shipping magnate Stavros Niarchos, lavished more money than any previous owners on restoring her, but sold her in 1977 to the Danish navy, who stripped her out to use as a training vessel.

By the time Maurizio Gucci took possession, she was badly in need of another passionate and wealthy yachtsman to pamper her. “She was like a wreck really,” says his daughter. “The goal of my father was to give Creole a second life, to keep the boat as original as possible. There were no interiors, so those were the only things made new — and they were made to respect the soul of the boat, in harmony with its history.”

Major refit work was undertaken at Beconcini in Italy, Lürssen in Germany and ended in Astilleros de Mallorca , while the designer Toto Russo was drafted in to reflect the style and the elegance of the period in which Creole was built, and a wealth of artworks was added across the six guest cabins. The result was a big, stylish and glamorous boat that sails like a dream.

“I remember a day in Saint-Tropez when we had perfect conditions and Creole was sailing in around 17 knots of wind, the cap rail properly in the water. It was one of the most thrilling moments I have experienced in sailing.”

This is a boat that has been with Allegra throughout her life — she holidayed on board as a child with her older sister Alessandra. “Some of the best memories I have on Creole are the water fights that would suddenly break out on board. They would start as just a splash between me and my sister and by the end of it everyone would be soaking wet — owners, crew and officers. Quite often somebody ended up in the sea. It was great fun!

“Another great memory is crossing the Med, from Spain to France or to Greece. I remember the beauty of the dark sky, the silence of being in the middle of the sea in perfect conditions and enjoying the quiet and the magic of the night. I remember lying in the cockpit covered by towels to protect me from the humidity.”

But at 65 metres, this fantasyland of a yacht was never going to be a practical training boat for the aspiring sailor. “I started learning on little dinghies, when I was around 10 years old, like normal kids do,” she says. She sailed a Laser around the lake at St Moritz, brushing up at summer camps in England, Brittany and Mallorca. “I always loved the sea — it is something like my ecosystem: the water, the sun, the wind.”

When she was still small her father decided he needed something rather humbler than Creole to enjoy regattas on — “it was becoming dangerous racing on Creole , there were lots of little boats on the circuit” — and he came across Avel . “She was built in 1896 but in 1927 the owners could not keep her in the water, so they put her in the mud and built a house boat on top. The hull remained in a perfect state because of the humidity of the mud.”

A quick refit was undertaken by the specialist Harry Spencer and she was on her way. Of a more manageable size than Creole , this was the family boat that provided the young Gucci with practical experience — “My objective was to be on the foredeck. I started on jib sheet, then finally after years I conquered my position on the foredeck” — and also inspiration.

“I was fascinated that you could stay on a boat that was built as long ago as 1896 — it’s a little piece of history,” she says. “I just fell in love with this world. When you go sailing on a classic boat it is magic. The feeling, the sound of the boat on the water is something you cannot describe. With modern boats, yes, you can go very fast, and you have the adrenaline. But with a classic — it’s pure, it’s like poetry. When you have the boat that is perfectly balanced, with the sails and the wind, it’s something fantastic.”

It’s worth noting that Avel has no engine. She’d never had one and the family wanted to respect the original design as much as possible during the refit. It means that she must be towed to the start line in regattas, but it doesn’t seem to have held her back. From 1994 she started to rack up the awards on the Med circuit, notably the Grimaldi Trophy and most prestigiously, “in the season of 2011 and 2012 we won the Les Voiles des Saint-Tropez”, says Allegra.

“It’s not a racing boat — it’s a Camper & Nicholsons design, not as fast as a Fife design for example. But we gave Avel a chance to be fast because it’s always been the same core crew racing her for 20 years, so we know what she’s good at and, more importantly, what she’s not so good at.”

The success is also due to a bold decision that was made after her father’s death. “When Avel was being restored (with a new mast and boom) we couldn’t find the original sailing plans. After a while, thanks to friends, we found them — the mast we had created was too tall and the boom was too long.

“So we decided on the philosophy of my father that the boat ought to be as the architect drew her, so we cut the mast and the boom. Everybody was a little bit scared — maybe the boat would go slower if we reduced the sail area of the main? But actually she didn’t, because she was much more balanced and fast.”

Following her victory at Les Voiles, Allegra, who was pregnant and unable to sail, decided the boat should be given a rest from racing. “I was on board for all the races Avel has done because it was fun for me. I’m not going to give the crew the fun to race without me!” But she couldn’t resist a little competition — Creole started participating in a few regattas and in 2013 won the Monaco Classic Week.

Her parents may have spent the 1980s at cocktail parties with Jackie O and the Kennedy clan in New York, but it was her father’s seadog friends who left young Gucci star-struck. “In my childhood I was very lucky to have the chance to meet fantastic sailors and people who were involved in the yachting world, such as Harry Spencer and Mark Ratsey.

“They were like superheroes to me, with so much experience and so many stories to tell. Mark became a special friend and I have learned from him most of the things I know about sailing. He was the best tactician you could possibly want and a very special person. We have done many, many regattas together in the last 20 years.”

Today, with a child under the age of three, the time she spends aboard the boats is more limited. “ Creole is a big boat, so having a child running up and down becomes a bit difficult. We go sailing — but maybe not with 28 knots of wind.” Leisurely cruising works better, with the Med’s cruising grounds at the top of the list. “It’s the perfect place for classic yachts. You have nice wind and in some places you don’t have too much swell that gives shocks to the boat.”

The Balearics have proved a family favourite and Gucci’s best-loved beaches are the white sands of Formentera. “I remember going there once, not to a specific place — and we said ‘let’s just follow the wind’. That was great — going sailing for two days with more wind, or less wind, and just enjoying time on the boat. It gives you the sense of freedom. I have the same enthusiasm that my father had for sailing and a true respect for our old ladies, Creole and Avel .”

CREOLE Sailing yacht for charter

The world's largest wooden sailing yacht, and indeed one of the most beautiful classic sailing yachts of all time, the three-masted schooner CREOLE was a masterpiece when launched in 1927, and remains so today. An example of magnificent craftsmanship combined with meticulous design, she has led a colourful life. Designed with a towering rig, she was launched with a stumpy rig due to her owner's demands and was not restored to her original design until a decade later when under new ownership. She then had her rig removed and deck works changed during her service in the Second World War, which left her unrecognisable. She was returned to the beautifully appointed and fast CREOLE that her designer had intended with a major restoration in the mid 20th Century.

CREOLE Yacht – Epic $20 Million Superyacht

The CREOLE yacht was built and delivered by Camper & Nicholsons in 1927 at their shipyard in the United Kingdom.

“Oldie but Goldie”, is how you may describe the ninety-five-year-old vessel owned by the Gucci family.

Launched as Vira, she was built for American carpet manufacturer Alexander Smith Cochran.

CREOLE is currently the largest wooden sailing yacht in the world and she was named after a dessert invented by Maurice Pope’s chef, her second owner.

CREOLE Yacht Interior

The CREOLE yacht interior was penned by Toto Russo from Ing. Russo Yachts, who tried to style her in the 1920s.

When the Guccis took possession of the vessel, they wanted to keep the original design. The yacht had no interiors, so they had to design a whole new one.

She underwent a remodeling process, adapting her classic interior into a 21st Century modern style.

Her furnishings were selected in muted and sober tones to match the coziness of the wooden paneling.

She can accommodate up to 10 guests in six charming cabins and hosts 15 crew members in four separate cabins.

The staterooms can be found on the lower deck, including one master suite, two double cabins, two twin cabins, and one single cabin.

All of her cabins have private bathrooms, shower facilities, and a lavatory.

The main deck has a living room, the main dining room, and an extensive roof to enjoy the open air.

This unique yacht has three impressive masts that need an hour and a half to deploy.

Her toys include a canoe, paddle boards, inflatable water toys, snorkeling equipment, and scuba diving equipment.

CREOLE Yacht Exterior

The CREOLE yacht features exterior design by Charles E. Nicholson and naval architecture by Charles E. Nicholson and Giorgetti and Magrini.

Both her hull and superstructure are made out of wood and GRP. She has a hull NB of 346.

After all these years and previous modifications, she still maintains her original 1920s design.

Originally, her first owner asked to cut the masts because he thought they were too tall. The result? Poor performance.

CREOLE Yacht Specifications

The CREOLE yacht has a length of 65.3m, a beam of 9.44m, a draft of 5.4m, and a volume of 680 GT.

Powered by twin MTU engines, she has a cruising speed of 10.0 knots and a maximum speed of 14.5 knots. She carries 25,800 liters of fuel and 9,400 liters of water.

She currently sails under the Malta flag and is the second largest yacht built by C&N.

Her weekly rate goes from 224,000 to 266,000 EUR plus expenses and her cruising locations depend on the season.

CREOLE Yacht History

Launched in 1926 and delivered one year later for Alexander Smith Cochran, he asked to reduce the height and span of the vessel.

She was renamed after her second owner, Major Maurice Pope, purchased her.

Ten years after she was delivered, she was fully restored according to her original design. During this time, CREOLE participated in several regattas.

However, with the strike of the Second World War in 1939, she was used as a mine hunter for the soldiers and later abandoned.

Luckily, she was rescued by Stavros Niarchos, who took her to Germany to give her a second life.

With a new life, came new changes. Her living room was enlarged featuring artwork by Dalí, Renoir, Degas, and Van Gogh.

Niarchos gave the superyacht an amazing sailing record, but after his wife’s death, he forgot about Creole.

When she was barely forty years old, she was acquired by the Danish government for their sailing school, but they only ruined the ship.

Five years later, Maurizio Gucci purchased the CREOLE back and restored the classic yacht without really knowing much about it.

At some point, she went back to participate in. Few regattas, winning the Monaco Classic Week in 2013.

She remains part of the Gucci family and she’s living a happy life.

VANITY FAIR: THE WORLD'S LARGEST WOODEN SAILING YACHT, CREOLE

Tuesday, 13th february 2018.

The world’s largest wooden sailing yacht, Creole, owned by the Gucci family, is being offered for charter for the first time. Built in 1927, she’s a whopper at 65.3 metres. And she has a chequered history: requisitioned as a mine hunter in the Second World War; refurbished by shipping magnate Stavros Niarchos, whose wife myseteriously died on board; sold to the Danish government to train naval recruits; and since restored by Maurizio Gucci, the last of the dynasty to run the brand, who was gunned down by a hitman hired by his ex-wife. No matter her past; under full sail, off the coast of Monaco, there is no finer way to move around the Mediterranean.

Gucci’s Creole

Gucci’s Creole – A Peek at the Largest Wood Sailing Ship in the World

What do you know about “the Creole?” It is the largest wooden sailing ship in the world, and one of the most famous. Owned by the family of Maurizio Gucci, it has both a brilliant and cursed past.

The world is full of fateful tales of sailing ships, large and small, private and military. One of the most famous wooden sailing ships of all time is the Creole. Now in the hands of the Gucci family, yes the couturier Maurizio Gucci’s family, the Creole is beautifully restored to the vision of the original designers. For all of its longevity, the Creole has earned a reputation built more on fear among some sailors than on respect.

Original Design and Build

When American Alexander Smith Cochran inherited a fortune of roughly $40 million in the early 1900s, he set about obtaining a fleet of wooden sailing ships to satisfy his passion for regattas and yachting. Cochran was known at the time as the “Richest Bachelor in New York,” and bought a number of yachts to compete in regattas in both New York and Europe.

With a vast fortune in his pocket, Cochran had well-known yacht designer Charles E. Nicholson build him a personal yacht for sailing. The ship was originally known as Vira, and quickly became Cochran’s pride and joy. However, it took several years to complete the beautiful wooden ship. When it was finished in 1927, he was too ill with tuberculosis to even navigate the deck of his own ship. At the ship’s christening, a friend of Cochran’s had to crack the champagne bottle on the ship’s keel because he was too weak to do so. His friend, Fred Hugues, required three swings to break the bottle.

Even though Cochran’s ship was the largest yacht ever built by the Camper & Nicholson shipyard, he wanted numerous changes made. First and foremost, he had the three tall masts shortened. Then he had ballast added to the bow. His changes made the ship labor in the water, and Cochran used it little before dying in 1929.

Numerous Ownership Changes

Between Cochran’s death and World War II, the Vira was purchased first by Maurice Pope, who renamed the ship Creole. Pope was a yachting enthusiast who had all of Cochran’s physical changes to the ship reversed. Pope frequently used the vessel to sail between The Solent and the Isle of Wight, UK. In 1937, Pope sold the ship to Sir Connor Guthrie. He had the vessels masts lengthened again and restored its original keel, and was rewarded for his investments as he won numerous regattas in the British Isles while racing the Creole.

Wartime Service

When World War II erupted in Europe in 1939, the Creole became an unlikely servant for the British Empire. The ship was renamed Magic Circle and given the mundane task of patrolling the waters of the coast of Scotland as a mine hunter. The ship had been refitted and repainted to serve in war, but upon the conclusion of World War II, it was returned to Guthrie’s family.

Post World War II

After the war the ship sat idle while in control of the family. It wasn’t until 1948 that it earned some tender love and care. Stavor Niarchos purchased the vessel at this time, spending into the hundreds of thousands (USD) to repair, refurbish, and breathe new life into the ship. The Greek yachtsman was in love with the Creole, going over every detail of the ship’s original design and finish to ensure it was properly refitted.

In the end, the vessel once again showed why some call it the “Cursed Creole.” Niarchos’ first wife was found dead onboard the ship from a suspected overdose of barbiturates, as was his second wife. At this point in time, Niarchos refused to sail on the ship ever again. By 1977 he had given up and sold it to the Danish government. Pressed into military service again, the Danes used it as a training ship until they could no longer afford to maintain and support the ship’s use.

Rescued Once Again

After years of neglect, the Creole was purchased by a man whose fashion sense had earned him millions, millions which he would need to save the ship. In 1983, Maurizio Gucci purchased the ship and vowed that he would return the luxury yacht to its original glory. Over the course of six years he spent millions of dollars restoring the sailing vessel and mega-wooden yacht to its true beauty.

Gucci gave the yacht an appearance that was befitting of the fashion magnate’s own name. The Creole sailed with him to ports throughout Europe, earning respect and admiration from sailing fans across the continent. It appeared that the Creole Curse had one more victim to claim though. In 1995, Gucci was murdered in a brutal attack that was ordered, allegedly, by his own wife.

Modern Creole

Currently, the Creole belongs to the children of Gucci. His daughters Allegra and Alessandra own the yacht. Although neither daughter has been spotted sailing the Creole with regularity, they are said to properly care for the boat in their father’s memory.

» boat builders, » boating events, the world's largest wood sailing yacht has a story that will give you goosebumps, creole, the largest wood sailing yacht in the world, currently owned by the gucci family, has a long and interesting history full of racing, luxury, public service, and intrigue. however, this beautiful wooden mega yacht is not without her dark side. in fact, some say this gorgeous sailboat is cursed. the story of the yacht creole begins with a man by the name of alexander smith cochran, who inherited an estimated $40 million from earnings of the alexander smith carpet company, the largest carpet manufacturer in the world in the early 1900s. after graduating from yale, the young american took up yachting as a way to pass his many leisure hours in between charity events. the man known as the "richest bachelor in new york" bought a yacht, began competing at regattas, and became well known around the new york yacht club (and later in europe) as an enthusiastic sailor. his crews competed in and won many races on various sailboats, including his favorite, an america's cup yacht named vanitie. in his early 50s, cochran set out to build the ultimate boat for himself, assigning the task to well known yacht designer charles e. nicholson. built under the name vira, the sailboat was to be cochran's pride and joy. unfortunately, by the time she was launched in 1927 her owner was suffering badly from tuberculosis, and he could hardly get himself from bow to stern without a coughing fit overtaking him. none disputed the beauty of the sailing yacht as she was launched in gosport, but many speculated on her future, as the events that transpired on the day of the yacht's christening were seen as a foreshadowing of misfortunes to come. being too ill to break the champagne on the prow himself, cochran enlisted his friend fred hugues to take the honors. unfortunately, hugues had to try three times before he was finally able to break the bottle, and this was seen as a very bad omen indeed among the yachtsmen in attendance. cochran was impressed by the vira, which was the largest yacht ever built at the camper & nicholsons shipyard at the time. he thought the three masts looked a bit too tall, however, and ordered them cut several times, until the schooner resembled more of a motor sailer than the grand sailing yacht nicholson had designed to speed through the water with a minimum of crew. cochran also changed the keel on the yacht, and added more ballast inside, in an attempt to compensate for the shorter masts. these poorly conceived adaptations caused the sailboat to roll uncomfortably at sea, and to perform poorly in general. because of this, the boat soon lost its appeal for alexander smith cochran, whose health continued to deteriorate until his death in 1929. the cochran estate then sold the yacht to maurice pope, who had the good sense to lengthen the sailing yacht's masts a bit, and who renamed her creole. pope enjoyed the boat, using her mainly for day trips around the solent, and to ferry back and forth to the isle of wight, though with her still quite short masts and heavy hull she never quite realized her designer's intended sailing performance. the creole changed hands again in 1937, when she caught the eye of sir connop guthrie. a more traditional sailor, guthrie brought the creole back to the camper & nicholsons yard, where they lengthening her masts, dumped the extra ballast, restored her original keel, and finally brought the boat back to the svelte form that her designer had originally intended. at last, the creole could spread her wings and fly, and fly she bloody well did gutherie was thrilled with her sailing characteristics, winning many regattas around the british isles. unfortunately, just as the creole was earning her crown as the queen of yachts, war struck, and in 1939 she was drafted into service as a lowly mine-hunter. renamed magic circle, the sailboat traded in her dress whites for coveralls, serving the allies off scotland throughout the second world war. when her tour of duty ended, she was returned to the guthrie family in nearly unrecognizable condition, having been stripped of her interior and masts. visibly worn down, as most were, by the horrors of war. once again named creole, the yacht continued to deteriorate until stavros niarchos purchased her in 1948. seeing this diamond in the rough, the greek yachtsman was determined to restore the boat back to her former glory. hundreds of thousands of dollars were sunk into the yacht over many years, as each detail was gone over by 'the golden greek,' as the bitter rival of aristotle onassis was known. a meticulous man, niarchos's lovingly restored yacht was now well suited for the fine works of art he hung on her walls. the man sailed often and lived aboard the creole for long periods, often calling his beautifully restored yacht "home." unfortunately, niarchos's wife was then found dead from an overdose of barbiturates, and the strange circumstances surrounding her demise put the tycoon very much in the public spotlight. it's said that he never sailed the creole again after this. then, after his next wife (formerly the wife of his rival onassis) also died of an overdose, the tycoon decided to part with the creole once and for all, selling her to the danish government in 1977. the creole was sailed enthusiastically as a training vessel by danish school children, and was then employed in the rehabilitation of young drug addicts. under this hard use and abuse, the sailboat quickly began to deteriorate, as the costs of maintaining this wood mega yacht became far too much for her owners to bear. once again the boat fell into disrepair, looking worn and neglected, showing not even a shadow of her former glory. then in 1983, the yacht caught the eye of a man of vision, couturier maurizio gucci, who thought he might once again make a silk purse out of this sow's ear. he pledged to return the creole to the luxury for which she was designed. once again the boat was brought into the shipyard for a complete refit, as gucci spent a vast fortune, and over six years, to see the beauty of this schooner restored inside and out. "breathtaking" was the word whispered at ports and quays around europe, as this incredible and historic vessel once again spread her wings to become one of the most beautiful sailing yachts in the world - a yacht fitting the gucci name. she also stunned sailors at regattas, sailing like a thouroughbred, and proving herself to be much more than a pretty face. but the creole's shine was once again tarnished by horror. in 1995, her master maurizio gucci was brutally murdered, and his own wife (whom it is speculated will be played by angelina jolie in an upcoming film named 'gucci') found guilty for arranging the killing. rumors circulated among the yachting community that the 'creole curse' had struck again. ownership of the creole passed to gucci's daughters, allegra and alessandra gucci, after maurizio's death. although they still own the schooner, they have rarely been seen sailing her, choosing to instead sail the much smaller of gucci's yachts, the 60 foot avel. whether this is because they simply enjoy sailing the engine-less avel over her huge 214 foot mega yacht sister, or whether they too believe in the curse, is up for speculation..

Creole the most beautiful boat of its time

In 1926 the American millionaire Alexander Smith Cochran , decided to build the world ‘s most beautiful boat with the idea of having a fast sailboat with minimum crew possible. Camper & Nicholson build an avant-garde wooden vessel capable of sailing like a silhouette on the sea.

yacht named creole

The tycoon Cochran was awed by the size of the ship and asked to reduce the height and span. Launched as Vira in 1927, the yacht went sailing through the Mediterranean but without having the original configuration the boat was very heavy and reacted badly to the waves.

Under the ownership of Major Maurice Pope, a Royal Yacht Squadron member, she acquired her legendary name Créole . The yacht was restored in 1937 according to the original design of Nicholson and participated in many regattas. Later with the Second World War in 1939, after being used as a mine hunter, it was abandoned. In 1947, Créole was recovered by the Greek shipbuilder Stavros Niarchos and brought to Germany to restore it. He made changes again, enlarging the living room and decorating it with murals by Dalí, providing it with special air conditioning with works by Cezanne, Renoir, Van Gogh, and Degas.

Niarchos was a meticulous man and wanted the crew to sail with the ship to perfection. He spent a lot of time on board, he lived and worked there but after the death of his wife, he lost interest in the boat. In 1977 the Danish government acquired Créole for its sailing school, but after five years, the ship was ruined.

After many years of misfortune, Créole found a happy ending when it was acquired by Maurizio Gucci in 1983, who was very interested in the history of the sailboat, restored it and modernized it, respecting the past. The restoration was a success and the current global installation of the ship is beautiful. The main deck shows several roofs, has four luxurious cabins with luxurious built-in bathroom, a living room, a main interior dining room, and others on deck, kitchen, bathrooms, and cabins for a crew of 23 sailors, plus captain and cooks.

Creole yacht sailing the deep seas

Créole is a floating wonder on the sea, a boat made entirely of wood, unique in its genre able to taim the sea and the wind with its three impressive masts that can deploy about a thousand meters of sail. Everything is done by hand and in an artisan way, so the 23 crew members need an hour and a half to deploy all the sails.

Allegra Gucci, its current owner, has inherited from her father Maurizio the love for the sea, the sailing and the care and attention for this majestic sailboat that keeps all its original sailing equipment, tools and accessories and is in an impeccable state, which makes an authentic delight to sail or enjoy a meal aboard this old and extraordinary boat.

Creole yacht cruising

Créole offers accommodation for 11 guests in 5 cabins consisting of a master stateroom with a queen size bed and bathroom facilities including a shower and lavatory. Further guest accommodation is also available in another 4 cabins. Créole can also accommodate up to 15 crew on-board to ensure a relaxed luxurious charter experience and all of the guest needs are catered for while on board. The specifications on board the beautifully built 214 ft / 65.3 m yacht include air conditioning as well as an extensive list of amenities and toys.

While chartering, the luxury mega yacht Créole and her crew of 15 will be sure to satisfy all of your needs and make sure you enjoy your experience.

COMMENTS

  1. Creole: The classic yacht owned by the Gucci family
