Sailing yacht BLUSH (EX HELIOS) is a 45 meter 2007 luxury sailing yacht built by the Italian yacht builder Perini Navi and designed by Ron Holland design. With refits by Perini Navi Service and Refit facility in 2015 and another full soft furnishing refit in 2018, superyacht BLUSH offers accommodation for up to 10 guests in 4 - 5 luxury cabins.

BLUSH is the result of collaboration between the well known Italian yacht builder Perini Navi and well know superyacht designer / naval architect and Ron Holland. She is the second steel-hulled 45-meter yacht to be launched by Perini. The large sail area provides the best possible sailing performance for this ocean cruising yacht which also boasts a particularly large internal volume.

The interior was designed by SallyAnne Holmes and is a blend of mahogany wood with modern metallic and dusky pink hues.

The master and guest staterooms are particularly versatile in that they can be transformed into a variety of configurations.

BLUSH has additional interior space and beam which has resulted in additional displacement and increased a wetted surface area of the steel hull and drag. This has been absorbed into the luxury yacht’s hull shape to ensure that added drag was kept to an absolute minimum and sailing performance maximised. The yacht also incorporates efficient underwater appendages, including a rudder with a relatively high aspect ratio as well a drop keel.

BLUSH Specifications

The Perini Navi-built aluminium mast that rises over 50 metres above the yacht’s waterline carries a sail area of around 1,200m2. The sails are handled automatically by seven of Perini Navi’s reel captive winches. Perini Navi electric furlers and the in-boom furling system stores the 432m2 main sail within the carbon fibre boom.

BLUSH's (36m2) flybridge offers a comfortable sunbathing area aft and a helm station forward. The opening stern reveals a structural staircase that descends to a 7m2 swimming platform with a lateral shell door on the yacht’s port side. This is where all the water sports activity and swimming takes place.

Yacht Accommodation

S/Y BLUSH has been designed to accommodate up to 10 guests in 4 to 5 luxury cabins. Her Master stateroom is located in the aft of the vessel and can convert into two separate cabins with an additional pull out couch if necessary. The master stateroom has an ensuite with private shower. The VIP cabin is also fitted with a King bed and ensuite facilities. The two twin cabins are located to the port and starboard of the yacht. Both of the twin beds in these cabins can convert to a king bed. There is one Pullman bunk in the starboard suite and 2 Pullman bunks in the port suite for a total of 3 additional bunks that can be utilised making her a very versatile yacht able to accommodate up to 10 yet still be comfortable and roomy for smaller groups.

Sailing Yacht Concept 'Helios' with Solar Sails

Talented italian yacht designers marco ferrari and alberto franchi developed a green-powered 55m panamax ketch-rigged sailing yacht with a flybridge for the young designers award 2015 that features solar sails..

Solar Sails? Is a sailing yacht not green? Modern and big sailing yachts need power for the hydraulics, electrics and hotel functions. So they need generators, turbines and power banks to run the systems.

Marco Ferrari and Alberto Franchi combined a diesel-electric system with a 2052 m² sail area with 2500 panels of flexible silicon solar cells. They produce a power of ca. 355 kWh directly to the batteries.

The Helios concept uses a spinnaker of nylon and a mizzen staysail made of dacron for easy handling.

The yacht accommodates 10 guests in four cabins and one owner’s suite with its own private beach club.  A crew of 8 cares about yacht and guests. Cabins are located on the lower deck.

Guests can enjoy a pool on the flybridge what can be transformed into a sunbathing area when the pool is not in use for instance when the yacht sails.

At the stern are a bathing platform and a big tender storage for a 5m and 7m tender, jet skis and other toys. Another opening is on the starboard side for boarding from the tender.

Helios is luxury sailing charter yacht built by Perini Navi Shipyard and launched in 2007. Her naval architecture and exterior styling is a result of cooperation between Ron Holland and Perini Navi in house design engineers, while her adoptable and mahogany laid interior design is by Perini in house designers. She combines fantastic sailing performances in luxurious environment. Helios is one of the most silent sail boats available nowadays on the charter market thanks to the efforts of Joe Smullin who is one of the world’s premier acoustical engineers.

She offers accommodation up to ten charter guests in four staterooms. Full beam master stateroom offers king sized bed, en-suite with Turkish steam shower and a table. Master stateroom is convertible into two staterooms with separate entrances with shared bath if required by her guests. Next to the master stateroom there is a twin cabin equipped with two single beds and two Pullman beds. If required this cabin can be converted into a double stateroom with a king sized beds. There are two double staterooms one based on the starboard side and one based on the port side, both with shower en-suites. Port side stateroom feature queen sized bed and starboard offers twin beds converted into a king sized bed. Helios offers fantastic audio-visual gear to her guests: Airplay and Apple TV in the salon and in the cockpit, outdoor cinema in the cockpit with NEC LTP350X Digital Projector, iPod docking stations, DVD’s, flat TV’s and WiFi throughout the boat.

Helios is powered with Caterpillar C32 developing 820 BHP taking her steel hull up to 13.5 Knots with cruising range of 3500 Nautical Miles @ 10.4 Knots which is her cruising speed. She offers an array of sea water sports toys listed herein below and transom convertible into a swimming platform while on the anchor. Helios is manned by a dedicated and professional marine crew of seven.

All information are subject to change without notice. Yacht charter prices are for a one-week charter or per day. Exact pricing and/ or any other detail will be confirmed in charter contract.

Any applicable taxes are extra.

We use MYBA ( The Worldwide Yachting Association) agreements produced to standardize charter terms and protect the Charterer ( You) , the Owner, and the Agent/Broker.

It has standard protections and escalation clauses in case any problems arise.

Once you have signed a MYBA charter contract, you are obligated to pay the entire charter regardless you actually board the yacht.

In exceptional cases, you may be able to cancel, but monies will be refunded only if the yacht can be chartered to another client, therefore many we suggest purchase of insurance against cancellation.

Charter fee is paid in two rates ; 50% of charter fee when the charter contract is signed and 50 % 4 weeks before charter commencement. Extra expenses are charged with Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA). APA is usually 25 % to 30 % of total charter fee and also depending on your itinerary, food, beverages etc. Captain will keep accurate records of funds spent during your charter and at the end of the charter, you will be refunded the difference, or you will asked to pay more during the cruise if further running costs are incurred.

Helios is a 48’ Hinckley Sou’wester Yawl built in 1976. One of only seven 48’ built as the mold was cut in half, two feet added and the popular Hinckley 50’ was born. Hinckley’s heritage is sailing vessels. You will find the classic shape, dramatic lines, and inner strength of a boatbuilding tradition that is equal to the challenges of the North Atlantic. Helios is swift as she is strong.

The Classic 48ft Hinckley Yawl, Helios, provides guests with a large seating area with plenty of room for comfort and mobility in the cockpit and on deck.  A full bimini covers the cockpit offering a large area for shade, while allowing for a full view of the stunning Caribbean views. Bean Bags placed on the front of the boat are ideal for soaking up the sun.

Taking place shortly after the Miami International Boat Show , PBIBS and its iconic location adjacent to Flagler Drive is set to once again impress a crowd of 55,000+ with some impressive luxury yacht charters.
