“I love how the Amels 60 focuses on looks and functionality,” Captain Dan Khedun told Robb Report during a tour of the yacht at Monaco Yacht Show. “So many yachts I’ve been on do one or the other, but the Limited Editions sacrifice some of the volume for a streamlined exterior, which I think is a good decision.”
At 830 gross tonnes, the boat retains more than enough space to pack in explorer features. The forward touch-and-go helipad was an owner request, as featured on all his previous yachts. Landing space is tight and requires the sun deck railings to be folded down and the hot tub drained. “We haven’t used the helideck yet, but you’d land with the tail overhanging the front,” says Khedun.
The owner has also ensured that, when on board, the yachting experience is maximized with a crew of 14 that includes a personal trainer, yoga instructor, videographer and even a DJ for late-night parties. In the bridge deck salon, an acoustic guitar sits in a cradle suggesting late-night jamming to a medley of Beatles tunes. A large beach club is where the water-sports action happens.
On the 88-foot-long sun deck, a teppanyaki grill, bar, hot tub and drop-down cinema screen bring on the showbiz lifestyle. Guests move around the open-plan layout with ease. When the wind picks up, sliding doors pull together on one side to create a partially enclosed area sheltered under the hardtop.
“We added layers of surface interest to materials, such as stones and timbers, to create unique and tactile finishes,” said Jim Dixon, Director of Yachts & Aviation at Winch Design. It includes the use of “angel hair” stone flooring in the bathrooms and a complex wood sculpture that sits center stage in the stairwell.
“The wooden structure designed by Winch took about a year to make,” said Khedun. “It was built piece by piece, five or six levels at a time. Every measure took a very long time.”
The master suite gets top billing, with a 75-square-ft. folding balcony for lapping up the views, wildlife and even enjoying massages by the water’s edge. A desk and lounge area are paired with en suite bathrooms and walk-in wardrobes.
The bridge offers plenty of guest seating and is a favorite spot with the owner when the yacht’s under way. “It’s really peaceful with a great line of sight,” said Khedun. “I was a bit worried in the shipyard as I thought the bow might be too high, but it’s not at all, largely because there’s no flare, so you know where the end of the boat is.” The vertical bow is designed to cut through waves easily and proved itself during the yacht’s maiden voyage from Damen ’s shipyard in Holland to the Mediterranean.
Come Together is equipped with Damen’s hybrid propulsion technology, which makes the yacht more efficient on its global adventures. With several successful charters already completed last summer, the yacht is now headed to the Caribbean for the winter season before embarking for the South Pacific, Australasia, Indian Ocean and Central America for summer 2023. First Amels 60 Superyacht COME TOGETHER Delivered
By Emily Dawkins
The first superyacht from the brand new Amels 60 range, now named 'Come Together', has been successfully delivered to her owner. Launched in March from Damen Yachting’s Vlissingen shipyard, the 60m, Espen Øino-penned vessel became the first in a ‘new generation’ of Amels superyachts. Come Together will now join the Y.CO Yacht Management and Charter Management fleets.
Showcasing a timeless exterior profile by esteemed yacht designer Espen Øino, Amels’ newest Limited Editions yacht, 60m Come Together, has now been delivered to her new owner. Built for a repeat Amels owner, she is the first of five under-construction yachts within the Amels 60 Limited Edition range to be delivered.
With a sleek custom-coloured metallic pebble grey hull and matterhorn white and super jet black superstructure, Come Together’s exterior profile is nothing short of a masterpiece. Multiple stretching windows, a vast 27m wide sun deck, 7 square metre fold-down balcony from the owner’s suite and a spacious swim platform are just some of the exquisite exterior features onboard. Ample tender and toy storage also add to Come Together’s advantageous characteristics.
Inside, contemporary and environmentally-friendly Winch Design and Damen Yachting interiors showcase neutral tones and natural woods: creating a calm and harmonious layout onboard.
The 60m vessel harbours Amels’ forward-thinking hybrid power and propulsion technology, which ensures highly efficient travel to far-reaching locations as well as reduced emissions, noise and vibrations during cruising.
The new Amels 60 vessel was identified by Y.CO as the exemplary vessel for their client, who will focus on an active, watersports operation to some of the most daring destinations in the world, as well as offering her for charter.
Come Together will begin her charter program next month in the Mediterranean, with an enthusiastic cruising schedule organised for next year. Her planned charters are set to take guests to the most remote areas of the world: a fitting adventure for her more than capable 4500 nautical mile range.
Y.CO Co-Founder and CEO, Charlie Birkett, commented on the success delivery: ‘Come Together is an exciting addition to our fleet, not just because of her groundbreaking technology and design but because of her ambitious cruising schedule, which will see her being used as a platform for surfing, diving and exploring all over the world. Our experienced yacht management and charter management teams, who have a lot of experience running similar operations, are working with the Client’s team and the crew to plan the yacht’s inaugural cruising seasons, and we can’t wait to see it all in action.’
Ben Ritchie from the Y.CO Sales Team added: ‘We are extremely happy to be taking delivery of this groundbreaking new yacht on behalf of our Client, and are proud to welcome her into our fleet as well as to be able to offer her for charter during her very first summer season. The Amels Limited Editions superyachts have proven exceptionally popular amongst buyers and charterers over the years due to their versatility, proven engineering and sociable outdoor spaces, and we anticipate that Come Together will prove a hit on the charter market.’
Come Together will be available to book for her maiden charter from the 2nd to the 9th July, as well as opportunities for charter in the Med in August and September.

Charter yacht of the week: Come Together, the 60m Amels that awakened a wildly successful series
Each week we place a spotlight on one of the world’s finest superyachts for charter . This week, BOAT steps on board 60-metre Come Together in Antigua to discover how the first yacht in the new Amels Limited Editions series surpassed expectations…
Following in the footsteps of perhaps the most successful superyacht series in history, there was no question that 60-metre Come Together , the first of the new series, needed to be brilliant. Predictably it was, thanks to a mighty design collaboration with Espen Øino for the geometric exterior.
It was 2022 when Come Together finally hit the water. The market was edging back to normality after two years of Covid and the industry welcomed 350 new superyachts to the fleet . But while the industry’s 100-metre behemoths were making waves, our readers were understandably intrigued by the new Limited Editions. Naturally, the reveal of Come Together’s interiors was one of BOAT's biggest stories at the time.
The 60-metre yacht then went on to her inaugural charter season, after which Y.CO, her central agency for charter, identified her as one of their booked-up, in-demand yachts of the summer with glowing reviews from past charterers on both the design and the crew.
Key Features
LOA: 60m Year : 2022 Builder: Amels Guests: 12 Cabins: 6 Summer Locations: West Mediterranean, East Mediterranean
Geometric, perfectly proportioned, and contemporary, this is the mighty result of Øino’s work. But this was no easy feat as he explains; “You are designing a boat for a market, not an individual. You can’t go too crazy because you are trying to hit the maximum percentage of people who would like it but, at the same time, it needs to look a bit different – it can’t just be another boat. It’s a fine line.”
The design is punctuated by her large trapezoid windows and a metallic hull that appears to encase the white superstructure. The unique pebble colour of the hull was an achievement as the metallic hue required the painting to be completed in one shot in order to accomplish the same tones across the hull. For this, it took 12 painters to spray in one tent simultaneously.
Life on board Come Together?
Stepping on board you’ll discover why Come Together’s exteriors are the way they are, as light pours through her windows and illuminates the neutral tones of her interior. Her main saloon is endowed with a geometric light fixture - a nod to her exteriors – and an earthy palette of materials that includes Jerusalem limestone, light-bleached matte oak, light-tone walnut and bronze.
Elsewhere you’ll find plush sofas to fill her convivial spaces, as well as a bespoke games table created by Hull Studio and a dining table that can be extended to squeeze in an extra dinner date.
Accommodation on board is for 12 guests across six cabins, incluging the vast owners suite which is bathed in light thanks to her full height windows. Here a large folding balcony opens up while the yacht is at anchor, transforming into a 7-square-metre terrace.
Out on deck
Crowning the yacht is a 27-metre-long sundeck that features an outdoor cooking station with a teppanyaki grill and an extendable dining table that seats up to 18 guests for occasional dining; the space can also be set up as an outdoor cinema where guests can cosy up under the stars.
“The sun deck is a real highlight,” said Y.CO’s Sioned Williams, Come Together 's charter manager. “It’s extremely spacious and offers huge variety. There are DJ decks that are ideal for entertainment, as well as a teppanyaki grill and bar in the middle, a large Jacuzzi, and plenty of space for sunbathing or yoga and workout sessions. Her beach club, which has a spacious sauna, is also a standout spot.”
She was designed to be a beachhouse on-the-water – and how better to encapsulate this than her magnificent beach club. Home to a mammoth 38-square metre swim platform, this is where you come to bask in Come Together’s adventurous side. Here you’ll find her high-octane selection of toys, which includes jet skis, sea bobs, E-foils and snorkelling gear. When you’re finished frolicking in the water, guests can relax in her vast beach club or in the sauna.
“Charterers always comment that the crew are a real highlight with reviews frequently mentioning how delicious the food is,” added Williams. “The signature cocktails they’ve enjoyed and the inventive ways the crew keep families entertained (think Olympics-style tournaments) are a real highlight. Their stylish uniforms are always complimented by anybody who comes on board too.”
Where will Come together be chartering this summer?
Come Together will be available to charter in the East and Western Mediterranean this summer. She is available to charter with Y.CO with a weekly rate starting from €450,000.

Time for a bigger boat? Check out what the Palm Beach International Boat Show has to offer
Whether you're the son of a son of a sailor or even just love that song and want to know more, the granddaddy of all boating events is happening this weekend along the West Palm Beach waterfront.
That's right, the Palm Beach International Boat Show is back for four glorious days along Flagler Drive.
This will be the 42nd annual event, and organizers promise it will be bigger and better than ever.
There will be $1.2 billion worth of Bond-worthy super yachts, cruisers, sportfishing boats, center consoles and even inflatables to see and tour, along with attractions and activities highlighting the latest in boat engines, motors and accessories. There will also be the latest fishing gear and even fishing seminars.
Yes, it's a big event, but don't be intimidated. In fact, here are seven fun facts about the show:
How many boats can this boat show boast?
There will be more than 800 boats on display along the floating docks in the Intracoastal Waterway.
What is the biggest boat at the boat show?
With a length of 236 feet (and 38 feet wide), Casino Royale takes the title for largest boat this year. This gorgeous yacht, designed for her exterior lines by Francesco Paszkowski with interior by Paszkowski’s interior lead designer Margherita Casprini, is also one of the most technically advanced yachts in her category. Casino Royale is powered by twin Caterpillar 3516B main engines and has an impressive top speed of 17.5 knots. You can put your checkbooks away for this one, however, as she is only on display and not for sale.
This boat is the boat show's most epensive
Built in 2022 and 196-feet long, Come Together is listed for $59,950,000. This expedition yacht was delivered by the Dutch shipyard Amels and features interior styling by British designer Winch Design. It can comfortably accommodate up to 12 guests in six cabins along with 14 crew members.
Are spectators allowed to go on the boats?
To go onboard the yachts and superyachts, visitors must make an appointment with the brokers. For the smaller boats, however, spectators can come onboard if they are interested in buying.
What is the smallest boat?
The smallest boat being displayed on the water is a runabout boat that is 22-feet-6-inches long, and 5-feet-11 wide. It is manufactured by Hermes.
Eating inside the boat show
The show will have dozens of food concessions featuring almost anything you could be craving, from Greek gyros to woodfired picanha, authentic street tacos and hand-crafted burgers. On a seafood diet? Enjoy fresh stone crab claws, calamari, oysters, and much more! Vegetarian, vegan, and/or gluten-free? No problem; they have options for you as well.
And libations at the boat show?
Of course there will be drinks. To be precise, there will be four bars for general admission guests, including two floating cocktail barges: the Goslings Island Bar and the Anheuser-Busch Barge. In addition there will be multiple bars in the Windward VIP Club.
