This Brenta 30, made in Italy in 2022 is perfect for those looking for a performance cruiser as it has a high stability and is manually driven. Featuring 8.92 meters in overall length and 2.32 meters in beam, it comfortably seats six to eight people in the cockpit and is steered with a tiller.

Nach dem großen Interesse und Erfolg des B38 ist das Interesse an einem rein manuell angetriebenen Boot geweckt worden. In Anbetracht der Lasten, die durch diese Art von Booten mit hoher Stabilität erzeugt werden, wurde eine Größe von 30 Fuß als Grenze festgelegt. Natürlich folgte eine Reihe von Wahlmöglichkeiten, wie die Wahl der Steuerpinne, eine andere, aber sehr interessante Sitzlösung für 6/8 Personen im Cockpit.

Suite au grand intérêt et au succès du B38, un intérêt pour un bateau à propulsion purement manuelle a été généré. Compte tenu des charges générées par ce type de bateaux à haute stabilité, une taille de 30 pieds a été fixée comme limite. Naturellement, un certain nombre de choix ont suivi, comme celui de la barre franche, une solution différente mais très intéressante pour 6/8 personnes dans le cockpit.

Neil Pryde Sails Int. is proud to partner with B-Yachts and their Technical Director, Enrico Malingri di Bagnolo in providing sails for the Brenta 30 and the new Brenta 34.

The sails are our latest Vectrix membrane designs, coupled with a mono-directional grey matte substrate that adds UV and chafe resistance and contemporary look and feel. This matte/anti-glare surface is easy on the eyes and meshes aesthetically with the carbon details and hull colors of the boat.

The stability and shape retention of these sails has to be felt to be appreciated...they deliver full power across the range without loss of shape and the speed robbing drag that comes with shape deformation. And they are incredibly easy to trim as result...small changes in trim reward the astute sailor with quick and responsive gains.

The mainsail comes in two versions, the all out race set up with large square-top or a more conventional mainsail for less aggressive and ease in sailing. Full battens, Antal hardware and 2 reefs are all standard equipment.

The self-tacking jib is a full fore-triangle sail with positive roach and vertical battens to maximize area and performance. Optional sails include asymmetric spinnakers and for the racers, a tactical Code Zero.

American Sailing Couple Disappears in Caribbean. Their Yacht Is Found 80 Miles Away

A sailing captain was paddle-boarding along the Saint Vincent shore when he noticed a ransacked yacht with a broken sail.

Concerned, he boarded the abandoned SV Simplicity. Its deck was covered in blood. Then the captain found two American passports belonging to Kathy Brandel and Ralph Hendry .

The captain took photographs of the yacht, sending them to an email address he found in a note onboard.

“The ship inside is very messy,” he wrote in the email to Salty Dawg Sailing Association. “Can you contact them?”

But Association President Bob Osborn says he could not reach the couple, who had lived aboard the yacht for a decade and who had last been spotted Feb. 18 docked in St. George, Grenada, about 80 miles from where the yacht was later found.

Speaking by phone Thursday as they prepared to leave for the Caribbean in search of their parents, Nick Buro and Bryan Hendry tell PEOPLE that they last heard from the couple Feb. 18, noting that the lack of contact is unusual.

The SV Simplicity was reported as “an unoccupied sailing vessel,” with “visible blood stains” on deck to the Coast Guard Service at 11:15 a.m. Feb. 21, per an internal memorandum obtained by PEOPLE between Commanding Officer Deon Henry and Police Commissioner Enville Williams.

“The entire interior of the vessel and its decks were ransacked,” the commanding officer wrote, naming the missing couple.

The following day, the police commissioner forwarded the memorandum to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, noting: “It is imperative that the families are promptly and compassionately informed of the incident.”

Automatic Identification System data, collected by the U.S. Coast Guard, shows SV Simplicity leaving a Grenada harbor around 10 p.m. Feb. 18 and arriving in Saint Vincent around noon the next day.

Royal Grenada Police Force

The Royal Grenada Police Force links the couple's disappearance to the escape of three prisoners from their nearby holding cell Feb. 18, per a press release Thursday, alleging the men may have killed the couple.

“Preliminary information emanating from investigators in St. Vincent suggests that the three men made their way to St. Vincent via a yacht which was docked in the St. George area,” police said in the release, which did not name the couple, but added that the two Americans "may have been killed in the process.”

Police identified the Grenadian prisoners as Trevon Robertson, 19, Abita Stanislaus, 25, and sailor Ron Mitchell, 30. 

They were previously arrested in December, charged jointly in a violent robbery case, per police. 

Mitchel was additionally charged with one count of rape, three counts of attempted rape, two counts of indecent assault, and causing harm.

Police re-apprehended the prisoners Feb. 21.

Video of one arrest, published by local media , includes shouts of “Gun! Gun! Gun!” and an escapee in his underwear, blood streaming down his legs as an official rounds him into the back of a pick-up truck. 

A source close to the investigation tells PEOPLE that two of the men have confessed to killing the couple. The third – hospitalized for a gunshot wound to the leg – had not been interviewed as of Friday.

The men have not been formally charged in the case.

Will Knoll, a longtime friend of the Alexandria, Va., couple, remembers Kathy, a retired real estate agent who would have turned 71 Wednesday, and Ralph, a financial advisor, as a loving, Christian couple who were happily married over two decades.

Knoll — who had been sailing with them in December — says he is frustrated that more is not being done to locate them.

“Where are the U.S. citizens and what is being done to find them?” he asks. “There are still a lot of unanswered questions.”

Selena Gomez may be in her “Love On” era, but she isn’t afraid to get her sparkle on, either.

After releasing her new song and its accompanying music video on Friday, the singer and actress, 31, stepped out on the SAG Awards 2024 red carpet wearing a glittering white Atelier Versace gown.

The sleeveless, sequined design hugged her curves before fanning out slightly toward the bottom.

As she posed for the cameras, the brunette bombshell also made sure to show off her glam, including a bouncy blowout and brown lip.

Working with her longtime stylist Erin Walsh , Gomez made sure her accessories complemented such a statement-making ensemble, adding a pair of silver hoop earring as the final touch.

It’s possible that white may become a new go-to color scheme for the Rare Beauty founder, who also wore a flared white dress by Oscar de la Renta in her “Love On” music video.

The ballet-inspired design, which was from the brand’s spring 2024 bridal collection, was layered over a coordinating Los Angeles Apparel bodysuit and paired with a big bow from Gigi Burris.

Of course, it’s no surprised that the “Only Murders in the Building” star would show up on Saturday dressed to impress. The hit Hulu show is nominated for outstanding performance by an ensemble in a comedy series, and along with her costars, Gomez could very well take home a trophy.

Gomez has no doubt brought her fashion A-game into 2024, sporting multiple stunning looks as of late. Recently, she went slightly retro while stepping out in Paris, wearing a black Dior mini dress with an elegant head scarf, black tights, and pointed-toe heels.

Gomez has also been among some of the best-dressed stars this awards season, choosing another sequined gown from Oscar de la Renta for the Emmys 2024. The bold design included 450,000 sequins that were expertly placed to show a little bit of skin.
