Paseo en barco para el avistamiento de delfines y ballenas en Gran Canaria

Te ofrecemos una garantía especial. Si no avistas delfines u otro tipo de cetaceos durante la travesía, La tripulación te entrega un bono para que vuelvas a realizar la excursión gratis en cualquier otro momento.

Recomendaciones para disfrutar de la excursión:

No olvides protección solar y labial (por la brisa y el sol). Toma medidas preventivas si te sueles marear. Ponte ropa y calzado cómodo, alguna prenda de abrigo y sombrero. Trae ropa de baño y toalla en las salidas con baño.

¡IMPORTANTE!

Si al hacer la reserva no hay plazas para los próximos días, reserva esta otra salida en barco para el avistamiento de delfines .

La salida de la excursión se realiza desde el Puerto Base, en Puerto Rico . Si te alojas en Bahía Feliz, San Agustín, Playa del Ingles, Maspalomas o Meloneras, puedes solicitar, al hacer la reserva, el servicio de recogida.  

¿Qué pasa si no vemos delfines durante la excursión? En caso de no ver delfines ni ningún otro tipo de cetáceo durante la excursión, la tripulación te dará un ticket para que puedas volver a realizar la excursión gratis cualquier otro día. No se devuelve el importe del ticket.

¿Cuándo es la mejor época del año para ver delfines? Los delfines en Gran Canaria se pueden ver durante todo el año.

¿Qué probabilidad hay de ver delfines o algún otro cetáceo? Lo normal es poder ver delfines en cerca del 90% de las salidas.

¿Qué posibilidades hay de avistamiento de ballenas? ¿Por qué no es tan fácil ver ballenas en Gran Canaria? El avistamiento de ballenas es mucho mejor que el de delfines. Además de haber menos ballenas que defines, las ballenas se acercan menos al barco y salen muy poco a la superficie, sólo para respirar, por lo que el avistamiento de ballenas es mucho menos frecuente en esta excursión.

¿Cuáles son los cetáceos que tenemos más posibilidad de encontrar en el paseo en barco? El delfín mular, el delfín moteado y el delfín común son los 2 tipos de delfines que más se suelen ver en Gran Canaria.

¿En qué idiomas se realiza la excursión? Nuestra actividad la hacemos en español, inglés y alemán. y holandés.

¿Pueden hacerla personas en silla de ruedas? Si

¿Dónde se realiza la actividad? ¿Vienen a recogerme? ¿Cuál es el punto de encuentro? La salida de la actividad es en Puerto Base en Puerto Rico. Tenemos puntos de recogida en las zonas de San Agustin, Playa del Inglés, Maspalomas, Meloneras y Mogan para reservas realizadas con un mínimo de 24 horas de antelación. Al hacer la reserva, en el paso1 seleccione en “servicios adicionales” recogida en el hotel. En el paso 2 seleccione la zona donde se queda y un hotel de referencia para indicarle la hora y el punto de recogida.

¿Con cuánto tiempo de antelación debo estar en la taquilla del barco? Debe estar en la taquilla del barco con un mínimo de 20 minutos antes de la salida de la excursión.

¿Qué incluye la actividad? -Agua y refrescos -Guía en español, inglés y alemán y holandés.

¿Alguna recomendación? Llevar: -Ropa y tipo de calzado de acuerdo a la época del año. -Gafas de sol. -Tomar medidas para el mareo. -Crema solar. -Sombrero o gorro. -Ropa de baño si haces la excursión con parada para bañarte.

Comentarios

Debes ir a ver los delfines si vas a Gran Canaria. Fui con mis hijos y mi mujer porque nos dijeron que los veíamos seguro y que si no nos darían un ticket para verlos otro día, lo que era toda una garantía. Vimos muchos delfines y una tortuga muy de cerca. Nos pareció increible que estuvisen a solo unas millas de la costa.

Impresionante. Después de ver varios tipos de delfín tan cerca del barco nos llevaron a un sitio donde nos bañamos. Aunque el agua estuvo fría, había que tirarse al mar por lo menos para poner este comentario, jaja

Decepcionante. Hicimos la excursión el último día de nuestras vacaciones en la isla y no vimos ningún delfín. El ticket que nos dieron para ir otro día no nos sirve de nada.

Maravilloso. He ido ya 4 veces a esta excursión y volveré a repetir seguro en cuanto pueda.

Plan ideal para ir con amigos o con familia. Fui con unos amigos que ya habían ido en este barco y que me habían convencido para ir con ellos y aluciné al ver más de tres tipos de delfín durante el viaje. Increible.

No se puede pedir más. Fue todo increible, la recogida en el hotel, la vuelta en barco y podernos bañar en el mar. Super recomendable.

Día maravilloso. Nos vinieron a recoger al hotel y nos llevaron a Puerto Rico. Allí subimos al catamaran y nos encantó la excursión. Por un momento vimos una ballena, luego una tortuga y para finalizar un montón de delfines. Espectacular.

Plan espectacular para hacer en familia. La excursión en el barco estuvo genial, una especie de ballena pero en pequeño y una manada de delfines y además, de vuelta al muelle, nos bañamos cerca de la costa.

Planazo para ir con los hijos. Fui con mis tres hijos y hasta yo disfruté como un niño viendo a los delfines nadar con el barco. Luego el baño en el mar fue la guinda para la excursión.

Fantástico. Fue increible ver al barco rodeado por todos lados de delfines saltando en grupo tan cerca de nosotros.

Alucinante. Fui con un grupo de colegas y vimos un mogollón de delfines saltando cerca del barco y luego el baño en el mar fue lo mas.

No hace falta ir a Noruega, en Gran Canarias también hay ballenas. Aunque sólo vimos el chorro de una ballena, nos dijeron que otras veces se ven más. Lo que si pudimos ver son muchos delfines.

Excelente e inolvidable. La tripulación super correcta, amable y atenta. Sin duda para volver a repetir. Mis hijos disfrutaron muchísimo.

Acabo de bajar de la segunda excursión a bordo para ver los delfines, ya que en la primera no se pudieron ver y en esta he tenido una grata experiencia. Un “must” en Gran Canaria. Soy grancanario y creí que este viaje en barco era solo para turistas pero cuando fui con un grupo de amigos aluciné viendo a los delfines tan cerca de nuestra costa.

Cumplieron nuestras expectativas. Habíamos leído los comentarios de otros clientes y dudábamos si eran reales pero al ir en el barco vimos que es tal y como lo describen algunos. Una experiencia para recordar.

Precioso. Vimos 2 tipos de delfin diferentes, cientos, a madres con sus crías.

Impresionante si tomas medidas para no marearte. Fui con un grupo de 12 amigos y a los que nos nos mareamos nos encantó pero los 3 que se marearon vomitaron y lo pasaron fatal hasta volver a puerto.

Bien aunque el barco se movió un poco. El viaje en barco fue espectacular y vimos una manada enorme de delfines. Menos mal que okgrancanaria nos advirtió para tomar medidas para prevenir el mareo porque hubo algunos clientes que lo pasaron bastante mal.

Muy recomendable. Vimos un montón de delfines que nadaron pegados al barco durante muchos minutos.

Ha sido genial ver un monton de delfines saltando al lado del barco. Lo estropeó un poco que nos mareamos. Al ir hacia alta mar hacia frío, nos dejaron unas mantas y todo. Al volver ya no. La tripulación un 10. Todo perfecto con okgrancanaria.

Merece muchisimo la pena, una experiencia totalmente recomendable. Al principio pensabamos que no ibamos a ver nada, hay que tener paciencia. Pero al final vimos varios delfines y a la vuelta una tortuga bastante grande.

A la segunda fue la vencida. El primer día que salimos no vimos ningún delfín pero pudimos repetir gratis la salida y tuvimos la suerte de ver algunos delfines en la segunda salida.

Ni se te ocurra si te mareas. El viaje en barco está muy bien pero si no te mareas, pero a mi se me hizo eterna la excursión hasta que volvimos.

Para repetir. Es el tercer año que voy en el barco a ver los delfines y siempre he visto por los menos una manada de delfines. Creo que no me cansaré de verlos nunca.

Super emocionante. Habíamos ido 2 días antes a Palmitos Park a ver los delfines y nos encantó pero en el Spirit pudimos verlos en su medio, nadando y saltando. Naturaleza pura.

Toda una experiencia para compartir con mis hijos.

No te la puedes perder. Si te quedas en Puerto Rico o en la zona sur debes sin duda ir al Spirit of the Sea.

Espectacular para el avistamiento de ballenas. Fui con la intención de ver delfines, ya que era lo que garantizaban, pero tuve la suerte de ver también una ballena. De las cosas más bonitas que he visto en mi vida.

El catamarán Delfín Playa comienza y termina en el puerto de Pasito Blanco. Se trata de un catamarán exclusivo con capacidad para 50 personas. Este crucero en catamarán zarpa todos los días a las 10:00 para disfrutar en familia, tomar el sol y hacer una excursión en busca de delfines. El viaje dura unas 4 horas. En esta excursión siempre se buscan delfines, pero no hay garantías ya que no es una excursión que se adentre mucho en el mar.

You should be aware that some activities and excursions sell out quickly due to limited capacity and high demand. It also depends on the time of year you travel to Gran Canaria, as some months are much busier than others. We recommend that you book the activity as early as possible, even from home or hotel.

05 What means of payment are accepted?

As soon as your booking has been successfully completed, you will receive a confirmation email. For all activities it is sufficient to show the email confirmation on the mobile or tablet. However, if you wish to print the confirmation, you may do so.

You start in the port of Puerto Rico and spend the first 2 hours searching for whales and dolphins. After the moving encounter with the impressive sea creatures you’ll navigate further southwest. The route leads along the steep cliffs of the coastline and their mysterious sea caves. Finally, the catamaran will anchor so that you can swim in the refreshing water. You also have the opportunity to do some exciting water sports activities that you can book on board at reduced prices. A rapid tour on the fun banana boat is even cost free. This was probably the worst trip I’ve ever been on. Yes we have seen dolphins for 5 minutes but that was it. A lot of the passenger’s (about 40%) were sick due to the waves. I got sick a few hours after. It was a very crowdy trip with lot of passengers (about 200) and with a crew that weren’t helpful or friendly in any way. But yes we have seen dolphins but that was it.

Quite expensive. When we got to the boat it was already full, so we had to stand up. The boat’s engine stalled just after departure, but their mechanic managed to fix that part. The catamaran included lunch and drinks (beer, sangria, wine and soft drinks). The trip goes from Puerto Rico in the South of the Island, going west past Taurito and then east past Patalavaca. There is an opportunity to swim and also you can go on the jet skis and do paragliding (for an extra charge – 29 euros). The lunch was simple – chicken, salad, potatoes and bread. You get picked up from your hotel (or close by) – quite a cheap day out when you consider all of the food and drink was included. We had a thoroughly enjoyable day.

Disfruta a bordo de nuestro catamarán, en un grupo reducido y exclusivo, de un viaje único a lo largo de la costa sur de la isla de Gran Canaria. Si lo deseas, adicionalmente puedes contratar actividades adicionales como parasailing o circuito en moto acuática.

Descripción

Antes de comenzar la experiencia, te pasaremos a buscar en el lugar designado. Una vez en las instalaciones de esnautica, durante el check-in, podrás añadir a tu viaje en catamarán un vuelo en parasailing o un paseo en moto acuática, si así lo deseases.

El catamarán zarpa desde el muelle de Arguineguín bordeando la costa en dirección sur hacía la playa. Aquellos que hayan contratado algún servicio adicional, se quedarán realizándolo y posteriormente serán transportados en Zodiac hasta el catamarán.

Por el camino es frecuente encontrarnos con delfines que en ocasiones se acercan a jugar con el barco. Te recomendamos que estés atento, ver la gracia con la que estos animales surcan el mar es uno de los recuerdos más mágicos que puedes llevarte de las islas.

Cuando lleguemos a la playa, echaremos el ancla y prepararemos la comida. Podrás relajarte tomando el sol o dándote un baño en pleno Atlántico lejos de la masificación turística.

Posteriormente, el catamarán levará el ancla y nos dispondremos a realizar el viaje de vuelta al muelle. Tras atracar, no te preocupes por la vuelta al hotel, nosotros te dejaremos donde mismo te recogimos.

Had some relaxing hours with nice views of the coastline and the marine life as well. Staff was welcoming and professional with the exception of one blonde member who was rude and condescending, arguing with me about not understanding English and making miss-placed comments; found the whole chat rather amusing however since I’m from Britain 🙂

Relaxing trip

Very spacious lovely relaxing seating first class views all around. Commentary in several languages.

Wonderful views of the protected coastline. Waters were lovely and clear and we saw plenty of marine life and dolphins .

Good lunch even for me as a Coeliac… which is always a bonus.

What are the days and times of the trip?

The Supercat sails seven days a week and every day of the year even Christmas Day! Sailing times can vary month by month.

Is return transport included?

Yes return transport is included from the main tourist resorts in the south of Gran Canaria including Playa del ingles, Maspalomas, Amadores, San Agustin, Bahia Feliz, Taurito and Puerto Mogan. We don't pick up from Puerto Rico as the boat sails from the main port in Puerto Rico. Pick up times are between 25 mins and 90 mins prior to the tour depending on where you are staying all this will be confirmed in your booking confirmation email as soon as you have booked.

IMPORTANT: Please note if you book after 20:00 the night before the excursion transport is not guaranteed.

How do we book a trip?

You choose the tour you want to do click book now and choose your desired date and reserve your place on the trip with a small deposit. This will hold your place on your chosen excursion until the day of the tour the remaining balance you pay on the day of the trip by cash or card.

How far in advance should I book a tour?

We recommend that you book your Gran Canaria excursions as far in advance as possible, in order to guarantee your trip and day of your choice. Some Excursions will fill up quicker than others, for example; Boat Trips, Jeep Safari’s and Buggy Tours fill up very quickly as they have a limited capacity. It also depends on the time of year that you are travelling to Gran Canaria, as some months are much busier than others.

What happens once I book?

As soon as you book you will shorty receive an email confirmation and Text/SMS, confirming your excursion date and time of your pick up and confirmation of the deposit received if you havn’t received your confirmation please firstly check your email spam folder, just in case. Do I need to bring my Passport or ID?

For activities such as Quad biking and Buggy tours and self drive Jeep tours, proof of age is required, as is a full driving license (card, not paper license) so please bring both documents for these trips.

What is the refund policy?

Deposit reservations are non-refundable. In the event of a trip or activity being cancelled, we will try to transfer you on to the next available trip. However, if for any reason this is not possible you will be issued a full refund.

Avistamiento de ballenas y delfines

Gran Canaria es uno de los destinos de vacaciones más popular. A la isla se le llama "continente en miniatura" por su clima y variedad de paisajes. Desde largas playas y dunas de arena blanca o negra, pasando por paisajes volcánicos, hasta verdes montañas y acantilados y barrancos que parecen el Gran Cañón. Un tercio de la isla está protegido por la UNESCO como reserva de la biosfera y, gracias a su gran biodiversidad, Canarias alberga numerosos animales salvajes, entre ellos muchas especies marinas y reptiles.   

En conclusión, Gran Canaria es el lugar perfecto para  observar delfines y ballenas bajo el sol y la fresca brisa marina. Y es que ver ballenas y delfines en su hábitat natural es una experiencia única. Las aguas de Gran Canaria albergan una inmensa variedad de especies, ya sean peces, otros tipos de animales marinos o mamíferos marinos. Por ello, hay posibilidad de avistar delfines o ballenas en cualquier época del año.  

Es por eso por lo que una  excursión en barco es el plan ideal para ver delfines o ballenas . Pero esta experiencia depende de muchos factores, por lo que recomendamos alguno de las excursiones profesional que se ofrecen en varios puntos de la isla, sobre todo en el sur. Ponte en manos de los especialistas, que conocen las aguas y los animales muy bien y saben en qué zonas suelen dejarse ver. De hecho, las Islas Canarias están a la cabeza de Europa en cuanto a avistamientos de cetáceos.  

Avistamiento de ballenas y delfines en Gran Canaria

A diferencia de las ballenas, que son más bien tímidas, los delfines son muy curiosos, juguetones y sociables. Les encanta nadar junto con los barcos y las olas, fascinando a los pasajeros con sus saltos.   

Si tienes mucha suerte, también podrás ver ballenas u orcas, que suelen pasar de vez en cuando cerca de Gran Canaria. Sin embargo, aunque las posibilidades de ver delfines son muy altas,  no está garantizado verlos . Pero en caso de no ver ningún delfín, muchas agencias de excursiones regalan otro ticket para intentarlo de nuevo otro día.  

Queremos recordar también que se suele mantener la distancia entre los animales y los barcos, por seguridad y respeto a los animales. No se debe molestar a los animales bajo ninguna circunstancia, y la interacción y el contacto dependen únicamente de los delfines y su estado de ánimo.   

Excursión en barco para ver delfines y ballenas

Disfruta de un relajante viaje en barco para ver delfines y ballenas en Gran Canaria. Sin embargo, la tasa de avistamiento de delfines supera el 90%, pero ver ballenas es mucho más raro. Tal vez sea tu día de suerte.  

Duración de los viajes en barco

La duración del viaje en barco oscila entre 2 y 6 horas, según el operador. Algunas excursiones ofrecen un descanso en las playas del sur, como la escondida  playa de Güigüi , donde podrás darte un chapuzón en las aguas del Atlántico y tomar el sol, acompañado de un picnic o una comida en el barco. La playa virgen de GüiGüi se encuentra en el oeste de Gran Canaria, escondida en una bahía rodeada de altos acantilados. Las playas son la parada perfecta para el avistamiento de delfines y ballenas en Gran Canaria.  

Dónde ir de excursión en barco

Algunos barcos también disponen de bares o salones donde comer y beber.  

Especies de mamíferos marinos

A menos de 20 kilómetros de la costa, podemos descubrir hasta 29 especies de mamíferos marinos, entre los que se encuentran diferentes tipos de delfines y ballenas como las jorobadas, las orcas, los zifios, los cachalotes, los calderones... entre otras.  

En Gran Canaria, los delfines y ballenas se sienten especialmente a gusto gracias al abundante plancton que arrastra la llamada "corriente de Canarias".  

Una experiencia inolvidable
