YACHT HISTORY

Built with Huon Pine planks and spotted gum ribs, Southwinds holds a significant role in English design pedigree as well as Australia’s yachting history.

Designed by Sir Robert Clarke and launched in 1950, she would have been one of the fastest and largest yachts in Sydney Harbour at that time. She has competed in the Sydney to Hobart yacht race and had many notable owners.

Her large windows, expansive decks and rich timbers create a spacious and elegant atmosphere for onboard guests.

We took the 3 hour tour and saw soooo many sites. We would have easily paid a lot more for this tour for the exceptional service and experience we received.

I had a fantastic afternoon with Ellie and Zain. They gave a us lovely personalised tour. The highlight was being able to step of the boat onto a secluded beach that was only accessible by boat, for a while we were the only ones on the beach. The tea and cake provided was extra nice touch too.

My husband and I and our two daughters, ages 10 and 12, really enjoyed our afternoon tour of Sydney Harbor with SHBT! It was a great introduction to all of the Sydney Harbor sights, a tour of some of the bays (homes of the rich and famous and a naval base), and a few beach stops at beautiful national park beaches.

We had a great 3 hour boat trip with the brand new Axopar boat named Spectre. A beautiful, fast and very comfortable boat. Perfect for 8 people. The crew was very professional and serviceminded. Great service also from the office. I highly recommend this company.

The best time i’ve ever had in Sydney. I got a chance to learn more about the Australian history. Overall my experience was phenomenal

The wealth of knowledge he carried about the city was crazy and not just me but my wife & two kids (9 and 7) loved him. He took us around the city in a comfortable ride, helped us get lots of pictures, have a picturesque lunch & dropped us back at the hotel. Even though the tour was for a stipulated time of 4 hours - it went over another 30 minutes so that he could cover whatever was promised by him at the start of his trip. For smaller yacht hire on Sydney Harbour, you can expect to pay between $650-$1,200/hr, depending on the type of vessel and the season. For larger yachts, you can expect an hourly rate of $900-$1,700/hr and super yachts hire starts at $1,800/hr. On top of this, most yacht charge a wharf pick up and drop off fee (generally $100-$150) and amenities feee (generally $100-$150 or a $15/pp fee). Luxury yachts often also charge a wait staff fee. We will outlay all costs for you upon enquiry, so there are no surprises on the day.

During high season (September – April) or on Saturdays throughout the year, the standard hire time is usually 4 hours or more. However, a select few vessels offer 3-hour hires year-round. In low season (May – August) and on weekdays throughout the year, most vessels offer 3-hour hires as standard. It’s worth noting that overnight hire can also be arranged upon request. Just let us know your requirements, and we’ll do our best to accommodate your needs.

Luxury boats are generally available for hire during the afternoon or evening. Typically, afternoon hires commence at 12pm or 1pm, while evening hires begin at 5pm or 6pm. If you let us know your preference, we will inform you of the available times.

When you hire a luxury yacht in Sydney, the package typically includes the use of the vessel, along with an experienced skipper and crew to handle navigation and management. In addition, certain yachts may offer extra amenities and services, such as onboard entertainment systems and water sports equipment like kayaks or paddleboards. We’ll thoroughly review any boat hire package with you, so you can have a clear understanding of what’s included, as well as any additional costs that may apply.

Yacht hire has become a highly sought-after option for boat rentals on Sydney Harbour, particularly during peak season and especially on Saturdays, which tend to book up rapidly. To secure your desired time and date, we recommend making your reservation at least 3 months in advance. This will ensure that you have ample options to choose from and secure your booking without any hassle. Although we recommend booking in advance to avoid disappointment, we are more than happy to accommodate last-minute bookings whenever possible. We will do our very best to assist you in securing a yacht hire for your desired date and time, even if it’s on short notice.

Luxury yachts are an excellent choice for spending a day on Sydney Harbour, thanks to their upscale amenities. If your vessel offers easy water access (with either a swimming ladder or plaform), the captain can take you to the finest secluded spots for swimming. Please mention your interest in swimming when you make your enquiry, and our team will inform you of your options!

Most luxury boats offer a BYO drinks option, where you can bring your own drinks onboard for a small amenity fee. This typically includes glassware, cool storage, and in some cases, ice. When you make your booking, we will inform you of the BYO option and any associated fees, so you can plan accordingly and avoid any unexpected expenses. To comply with RSA guidelines, it’s mandatory to have enough food on board for all cruises. With yachts, you are generally allowed to bring your own food, and some vessels even come equipped with onboard BBQs where the crew can cook your food for you. If you make an enquiry, we will inform you whether your chosen boat has a BBQ available, so you can plan your food arrangements accordingly and avoid any surprises. While it’s often possible to bring your own food on board, we highly recommend considering the catering options offered by the boat. Our partners offer a wide variety of delicious food and beverage options, making it easy for you to organise your onboard dining experience. Not to mention, it can often be a more convenient and hassle-free option, allowing you to sit back and enjoy your day on the water.

You can view all available pick up and drop off wharf options here . While it’s subject to availability and potential surcharges, we do offer the option of selecting separate locations for both pick-up and drop-off. Our team will be happy to suggest appropriate locations for your group and recommend vessels that can pick you up from your preferred wharf location.

Yachts are equipped to cruise in any weather conditions that are deemed safe by the captain. However, in the event that the weather is deemed unsafe and the captain has to cancel the charter, we will issue you with a voucher for the full value of your booking. You can use this voucher to reschedule your booking within 12 months. Additionally, even when it’s raining, our guests still have an incredible time out on the Harbour. With plenty of space to stay dry and cozy, it can even add to the fun and create a unique and memorable experience.

Terms and Conditions

• The booking will be confirmed with a 50% deposit
• Deposits are non refundable and non transferable.
• Remaining payment must be received at least 14 days prior to the charter date
• Unsafe weather as determined by Manly Sailing – heavy rain and/or strong winds may cause postponement of the charter on the day.
• In the event of postponement due to bad weather, Manly Sailing will reschedule the charter with the client to a mutually convenient time within a 12 month period.
• Choice of destinations will be determined by wind and weather conditions.
• Manly Sailing reserves the right to refuse any passenger at any time for inappropriate behaviour, drug use, drunkenness or misuse of vessels.
• There is a $200 charge for toilet blockages
• Passengers must be ready to board the vessel at least 15 mins before departure time.
• Manly Sailing reserves the right to limit any passengers intake of alcohol at any time throughout the trip.
• Manly Sailing reserves the right to alter price, departure time and point as and when required.

POSEIDON CRUISE PARTY 2024

POSEIDON CRUISE PARTY 2024 is set to make a comeback in Sydney on the 6th of April. This ultimate Euro Greek cruise party will take place aboard the Sydney Constellation Cruises yacht, one of the largest 3-level vessels on Sydney Harbour. Guests will enjoy a fusion of modern elegance, luxury, and simplicity, along with three bars and a 360-degree rooftop offering stunning views of Sydney Harbour. The event will feature three levels of entertainment, showcasing Australia's top Greek musicians including the ALL STARS LIVE BAND & SINGERS NIKITA, JESSICA, DJ ANDONI, and DJ RAR. The musical lineup will include a mix of live Greek music, 80’s, 90’s, Arabic, Greek, house, and mix beats. For those looking to satisfy their hunger, Souvlaki Snack Wraps will be available onboard for an additional cost. Boarding will commence at 6:00 pm sharp, with departure at 6:30 pm from King Street Wharf No.9. It is essential to arrive on time as the boat will depart punctually. Please note that tickets for the event are non-refundable. Ticket prices range from $48.96 to $63.79.

First time cruiser and wow....it was perfect! I saw the boat on sunrise with Michael buble and I thought that would be a special treat to do with close friends for some celebrations.
