The 66M GT M/Y OKTO was launched in 2014 by ISA Yachts . A true game changer, OKTO has raised the bar in superyacht design and engineering. Fusing the upmost expertise, creativity and serenity, she exceeds all expectations.

OKTO is certainly a sight to behold. On top of her jet black steel hull with its piercing bow sits a sleek, sparkling superstructure and this striking profile is only the start of her appeal. A large pool for salt or fresh water on the main deck aft is bound to become the hub of any vacation while the bridge deck aft abounds with space for alfresco dining, lounging and socializing with fellow guests. A secluded sun deck, meanwhile, with a Jacuzzi and sunning options provides a more intimate escape.

One of the last projects the late designer Alberto Pinto worked on, OKTO boasts a harmonious continuity between inside and outdoors. On the main deck, five-metre-wide glass doors slide open into an opulent salon. Pale furniture, lacquered surfaces and stainless steel structural detail flow from one space to the next while natural light floods in through huge windows. Visually striking, the grand ambiance and extraordinary comfort of this space continues throughout the whole motor yacht.

Powered by 2 CAT engines, this 66M can reach 18 knots max and cruises at 16 knots. With 5 cabins plus the master, it accommodates 12 guests.

The OKTO yacht was one of the last yachts to be designed by the esteemed luxury designer Alberto Pinto .

She features a chic and monochromatic style and onboard accommodation for 11 guests in 1 master suite, 1 VIP suite, three doubles, and a single.

The owner’s suite features a private balcony over the water. The interior features a striking mix of natural light through huge windows, pale furniture, lacquered surfaces, and stainless steel.

The helipad turns into a great socializing and party area at night, with a state-of-the-art stereo system and dance area.

There is a cinema and gym on the sundeck which provides magnificent views of the waters.

The yacht is designed for excellent flow between outdoor and indoor areas.

The pool is one of the most striking features of the OKTO, with a covered lounge and sun loungers. Guests can enjoy a dip in the jacuzzi.

Complimenting the luxury is a massage room that can be used as a beauty salon or therapy room. The yacht has four tender garages.

The interior is designed to be a perfect combination of functionality and design. 

Andrea Vallicelli of Valicelli Yacht Design designed the fluid and striking exterior of the OKTO yacht.

The exterior design feature a striking black hull with a piercing bow. The sleek superstructure supports the striking superstructure.

The OKTO was built by  ISA  and delivered in 2014. She was refitted in 2016 by  Amico & Co  and Rybovich Shipyards.

Charter yacht of the week: Ultra-cool crowd-pleaser Okto

Eye-catching exteriors, a well-considered layout and an “obsessively” client-orientated crew make 66 metre Okto a superyacht you won't forget in a hurry. She is currently available to charter with Camper & Nicholsons . BOAT takes a second look at one of the charter fleet's favourites. 

Key details

Delivered in 2014, Okto remains the official flagship of Italian yard ISA Yachts - the recently delivered 65m Resilience is the yard’s largest yacht built since it merged with Palumbo .

Her needle-sharp exterior comes from Andrea Vallicelli , and the glossy black paintjob (a part of which was freshly done in 2022) and pewter superstructure have certainly made it “hard not to draw eyes”, according to Camper & Nicholsons retail and charter broker Bobby Bigio. 

The aft deck pool is another attention grabber; it takes no notice of Okto’s relatively narrow beam, and stretches out invitingly across 6.5 by 4.7 metres.

Meanwhile, interiors come from the late Alberto Pinto, who has put his signature in the crisp black and white colour palette and simple styling enlivened with occasional flourishes. Accommodation is for 11 guests split across six cabins, with complement for a crew of 16.

Why Okto is the perfect charter yacht

At her core, Okto is a box-ticking chameleon. She can be a family-friendly funhouse, a floating party zone or a wellness oasis. The layout is “very inclusive for whoever's on board,’ says captain Aydan Longmore, while the crew can adapt and adjust to offer a “tailored experience” and “personalised service”.

These details are what the crew “obsesses” over. “The second that someone mentions any small change or preference, no matter how insignificant, we immediately communicate that in the group,” says Longmore.

A regular addition to New Year’s Eve festivities in St Barts, Okto is a bit of a party girl. A-listers have been spotted kicking back on her decks, which incidentally are coated in modern Esthec teak that is billed as “high-heel friendly” - ideal for visitors who don’t want to part with their Manolo Blanhiks. 

The aforementioned pool is also kitted out with lights and contraflow currents, while the 80 square metre upper deck is home to 1,000W speakers fed by Videoworks.

When it comes to cocktails, the crew take their menu seriously. "For an easy crowd-pleaser on a hot day, we make an organic watermelon and cucumber martini," says Longmore. "For our signature, we make a Red & Black Ship." But the most asked-for cocktail is a spicy skinny margarita, whipped up by chief stew Aly Nielsen with a generous splash of Tabasco and plenty of tequila and Cointreau. 

But when it’s time for some post-party detox, Okto ’s active and energetic crew are on hand to help. A few years ago, the crew crossed the Atlantic, completing one rep of exercise for every nautical mile, “which sounds like nothing”, admits Longmore, “but it builds up”.

Her toy chest is bursting with tech for guests to make use of, and her clean, uncluttered foredeck - when not in use as a dancefloor - practically invites a morning yoga session watching the sun rise. There’s also a well-equipped gym perched on the top deck and a cinema suite, which is home to a popcorn machine.

What’s special about Okto ?

Serenity has been ingrained into Okto , with high-performing  insulation that promises a truly silent, vibration-free ride. Each of the cabins is its own bubble that offers seclusion from the rest of the yacht.

“If it is privacy the principal is after, breakfast on the master cabin balcony is the perfect place to welcome in a new day,” says Cristabel Nye, retail charter broker at Camper & Nicholsons. 

Longmore agrees, adding that the balcony is special because “once you've been instructed on how to use it, everything is pretty much automated with one push of a button,” meaning that a guest doesn’t need to call a crew member to open it. Better still, a precise air curtain creates a barrier to keep insects out and air-conditioned air inside.

The indoor-outdoor connection is evident across the yacht, with a fluid, "open-plan" configuration between decks. "From the main deck aft by the pool area, you can see right the way through the main dining area, right to the coffee area," says Longmore. 

"And no matter where you are, you feel included in the area, but you've also got your own space," he adds. If someone is having a conversation in that area, it won't disturb anyone nearby because "they're far enough away that you aren't completely separate. But you can see the person in that space, you don't have to go looking for them," says Longmore.  

And as Longmore points out, the best part about being on a boat is being able to appreciate the area you're in. Okto has plenty of deck space to facilitate that.

Elsewhere, the galley is another onboard highlight. Head chef William-Pitt-Brooke comes from a Michelin-starred restaurant background, as does his sous-chef. "I've never worked with better chefs," attests Longmore.  "Every time I go into the galley they're producing something new. They rarely repeat things - they're always tailoring [their dishes]."

The OKTO motor yacht also boasts an owner’s suite with a private balcony, 80 square metres of open space on the bridge deck alone, and a dedicated massage, beauty and therapy room with an onboard masseuse/beautician.

Interior Design & Engineering

Built by ISA in 2014, the 66-metre OKTO yacht impressively cruises at 16 knots while being almost silent. In fact, her supreme soundproofing means you could play music in one room, and you won’t hear it in another.

Your OKTO yacht charter can accommodate 10 guests across five cabins. The master suite has a fold-down balcony to starboard that can be opened at the push of a button. When it’s open, an air curtain starts to flow that prevents insects from slipping inside. There’s an adjoining room with a big double bed that serves as a study but can double as a VIP cabin or a place for young children to sleep near their parents. The rest of the accommodation comprises three doubles and one single.

Yacht Facilities & Entertainment

One of the first things you’ll notice when you board the OKTO yacht is her large swimming pool. You can choose whether you want salt or fresh water, if you want that water to be warm or cold, and if you want it to be still or contraflow. If you need a rest after all that swimming, you can flop onto sun loungers or wander forward to the aft lounge.

The sun deck spans 80 square metres and is home to an aft lounge with L-shaped sofas and coffee tables, with an alfresco dining table amidship. At night, this becomes the dance floor with 1,000-watt speakers to provide the soundtrack to your luxury superyacht disco.

Head inside to find the circular sky lounge-cum-cinema room, with a 3000-watt Bower and Wilkins sound system and a 103” Panasonic plasma screen. If you prefer to get the blood flowing, you’ll also find a gym on the top deck.

For ultimate relaxation - and super panoramic views - you can head to the forward deck and take a soak in the spa pool. Surrounded by sun pads, it’s a great spot to soak up the rays.

You’ll also find a lounge area in the open-plan main salon that leads to a circular dining room enclosed by curved glass walls and with large sliding doors to open it up to the deck.

Toys & Crew

A crew of 17 will ensure your OKTO yacht charter is exceptional.

With three tenders to choose from, you can easily pop ashore. But if you want to make the most of your time on the OKTO yacht, an overflowing toy collection will help you do just that. She carries everything from kayaks and SUPs to water skis, kneeboards, wakeboards, JetSurfs, windsurfers, inflatable towables and a private floating island.

Superyacht OKTO stands out for her unique striking design. Black and silver hull, grey and black decks, 6-metre contraflow current infinity pool in main deck with various lighting options which can be heated or cooled are among the key features of this masterpiece. Built and launched by Italian yard ISA in 2014, interiors were designed by Alberto Pinto. OKTO can accommodate 10 guests in 5 luxurious staterooms. Master stateroom features an automatic balcony which can be lowered at the touch of a button, plus : his and hers bathrooms with a dressing and shower room, a bathroom with sea view, steam bath and rain-forest style shower. Adjacent to Master, a dedicated office which can be used as a supplementary cabin for guests or children.

Thanks to the refined engineering, OKTO performs a top speed of 18kn but is the silence and comfort on board which is outstanding. A guest elevator connects all decks. The outside boasts enormous deck spaces. The upper deck features a dining terrace which leads inside to a circular cinema room with a 103 inch screen and exceptional sound system. Sundeck hosts the jacuzzi with panoramic view. Foredeck Touch and Go helipad, a Massage/Beauty room, GYM, 17 crew members and an incredible list of water toys will enhance guests’ experience on board for an unparalleled charter !
