STAY SALTY superyacht – star of the season three of the Below Deck series

Built by US shipyard Trinity Yachts in 2008, the Owners of M/Y STAY SALTY  (ex Hunter, Mustang Sally, Destination Fox Harb’r Too)  made sure she was also looking her best and received a refit just before filming began in August 2015. The gorgeous interiors combine past and present trends, and the facilities are just as comprehensive, catering to a wide variety of guests.

The Interiors

The interiors from Patrick Knowles were inspired by European spa resorts and are designed to appeal for a variety of charter purposes. As such, they offer laid back elegance that merges traditional and contemporary appeal by using Lacewood, Redwood burl and Honduran mahogany accented with satin nickel. A sharp eye will notice all the neo-classical touches throughout, from the mirror surrounds to the balustrades and the lighting fixtures.

When it comes to entertainment both the main salon and skylounge can host a fantastic soiree: There is a wet bar on both decks and the main salon has a 42″ widescreen TV with surround sound, while the skylounge has a 62″ widescreen TV along with a game table and a library. Of course, the main salon also comes with the 12-seater formal dining area.

A pair of engines gives a faster-than-average cruising speed of 16 knots and a top speed of 20 knots, letting guests make excellent time between destinations for a yacht of this size and volume.

The Exteriors

The raked bow and champagne-coloured hull give superyacht hunter a sleek modern look that will impress from afar and when additional visitors come on board for dockside events. Cocktails can be ready and waiting on the large swim platform, which is perfect for lazy days beside the turquoise waters of the Caribbean & Bahamas luxury yacht charter grounds.

Spacious aft deck are ideal for entertainment and socialising

Spacious aft deck are ideal for entertainment and socialising

The main deck aft is a casual outdoor environment where the group can discuss their morning around the coffee table while the professional crew creates refreshments at the indoor/outdoor wet bar.

When it comes to dining alfresco, the upper deck aft has a close atmosphere between guests thanks to the round table design, and strong lighting ensures that the area can be used even after sundown – ideal for meals at sunset followed by fireworks, or a film or sports on the widescreen TV. The group can savour a top-quality meal prepared by the expert onboard chef, who will cater to all the dietary requirements within the group. Couples looking for a bit more privacy can head forward to the loveseat on the Portuguese deck, where there’s also a table for meals together or a nightcap.

Once charter guests have explored their beautiful destination, most head to the sundeck for a dip into the forward Jacuzzi or rest on the sunpads until a lunch prepared on the barbeque grill is served in the shade. Just like the main deck and upper deck, the sundeck has a wet bar for fast and efficient service.

The Accommodation

The generous accommodation is a tranquil sanctum that accommodates up to 12 guests across 5 en-suite cabins: 1 Master suite, 3 VIP staterooms and 1 twin cabin with a Pullman berth ideal for children.

Upon entering the main deck Master suite there is a queen-sized sleeper sofa and en-suite bathroom enclosed in its own space. This can be used as an alternative cabin to the selection on the lower deck, or as a private lounge. The main Master bedroom farther forward boasts a king-sized bed with a widescreen TV opposite, plus plenty of seating and wardrobe space for guests who have a packed social calendar and a different gown or suit for each occasion. The en-suites have a ‘get-up-and-go’ setup in the one bathroom with a sink, toilet and shower, while the second bathroom invites guests to a long soak in the spa bathtub, as well as offering all the amenities of the first.

Retreat to a private suite after a relaxing day on board.

Guests in the VIP staterooms and the twin cabin have not been neglected either: Each cabin has a top-quality mattress and bedding, plus TV entertainment to wind down before a comfortable night’s rest.

Great crew, Outstanding yacht.

Though I’ve thought all the Yachts were nice, I’d have to say the EROS is probably a favorite. The layout is so much different than the others.

I was thinking how amazingly fun it would be to work on this yacht….then I thought HELL NO!!! I want to be a pampered guest on that boat, surrounded by an amazing and super fun crew!!! It would be a once in a lifetime trip!!!! I would love my whole family (which is very small) to join me for pure rest & relaxation and tons of fun; with no worries at all… But DAAA’UUUMMM……it is so dang freaking expensive to rent this yacht for a week. I am not that wealthy, so it’s unlikely I’ll ever be able to afford an type of vacation on this gorgeous be z

Us poor peeps can only hope to win the give away Cruz on that boat for the week…

One day I will be able to take a trip on this yacht or spend a week on this yaht, when that day comes I’ll know I won the lotto…lol

I don’t get it. What’ s so special about a yacht? $200,000 and for what?

WoW!! I only wish that I were related to the Real House Wife celeb, Ms. Bailey. What a blessing to grab a few best friends and even just enjoy a weekend at sea…….now that would make me very happy. I will be looking for that “Eros Cruise Contest” as well.

I thought it would fun to get 10 friends and split the cost until I checked into the prices. Wow, I can pay my house off for the amount of money they are asking. I watch the show and I have not been impressed with the food the chef serves, the entertainment, an employee dressing up as a mermaid?? and some water toys. Add another 10000.00 or more for the tip at the end of the week. Maybe when I hit the lotto!

The actual Below Deck yacht is available to charter in Miami area for anyone that has the money.

I would NEVER charter the Eros after seeing the show ‘Below Deck’ & seeing how the crew mock the quests publicly on camera! How rude & unprofessional!

Great Share,

We are planning for sailing vacation after our wedding, I think we will prefer hiring such services which will take care of me and my family.

Hope we are able to go for this vacation. 🙂 ;p

2023 Below Deck Charter Cost: Ultimate Guide

You may consult an expert or yacht broker to get a more accurate cost estimate for a specific yacht. The operating costs of each yacht can vary based on a number of factors, including the size, age, and condition of the yacht, as well as the location of the yacht and the level of use.

Valor yacht is also known as BG Charade

The proud owner of this luxurious vessel is Canadian entrepreneur Bobby Genovese. Though his exact net worth is not public knowledge, Bobby has made a fortune through his successful ventures and investments.

Valor, a 46.88-meter Feadship yacht, has had quite the journey. Built in 1990 and refitted in 2015, Bobby acquired this beauty for a rumored $15,000,000 in that same year. This nearly 154-foot-long yacht can comfortably accommodate up to 12 guests and comes with a crew of 10 members.

When it comes to operating costs, you should be aware that renting Valor for your dream vacation will set you back a considerable amount. It is available for charter starting at $260,000 per week, excluding expenses. However, keep in mind that chartering this celebrity-favorite vessel will undoubtedly be a lavish and unforgettable experience.

Ohana is built by Admiral in Italy

The Ohana yacht, featured on Below Deck, is owned by Captain Lee Rosbach and his wife, Lisa. They reside in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and have owned the yacht for over ten years. The couple has two children: a son and a daughter. While we don't have an exact number for their net worth, it is safe to assume that they are quite successful in the yachting industry.

Ohana is a 154-foot (47-meter) long motor yacht built by Admiral in Italy. The cost of the yacht might vary depending on its age, condition, and customization. However, yachts of similar size on the market may lie within the range of $20 million to $40 million. Keep in mind that these numbers are just an estimate; the actual price of Ohana may be different.

Operating a yacht like Ohana can be costly. Some of the annual expenses of maintaining and running a yacht of this size can include fuel, crew salaries, insurance, maintenance, dockage fees, and more. It is typically estimated that the annual operating cost falls between 10% and 15% of the yacht's purchase price. For Ohana, this would mean an operating cost in the ballpark of $2 million to $6 million per year.

Your luxurious vacation on the MY Seanna

The owner of MY Seanna is an entity called Seanna Yacht Holdings LLC, and the net worth of the company is not publicly known. The estimated purchase cost of the yacht is $45 million, and the estimated annual operating cost is $2.5 million to $3 million.

MY Seanna is a 164-foot-long vessel, will come at a pretty penny. The yacht is available for charter at a starting price of $260,000 per week. Keep in mind that this cost doesn't include expenses, which means you'll need to budget for additional costs during your adventure.

These expenses can add up quickly, so it's essential to be aware of them when planning your luxurious getaway.

Ionian Princess is a majestic yacht

The owner of the Ionian Princess, a 182-foot-long vessel, prefers to keep their identity private. While the exact net worth of the owner is not publicly available, you can assume they have a substantial fortune considering the yacht's impressive features and the costs associated with yacht ownership.

As you admire the Ionian Princess, it's natural to wonder about its price tag. Built in 2006 and last refitted in 2021, this luxurious yacht has a base price of $495,000 per week for charters. Featuring an exquisite interior designed by Pavlik Design Team and an exterior crafted by Setzer Design Group, this vessel is a true work of art.

These expenses include crew salaries, insurance, maintenance, fuel, docking fees, and additional services such as food and beverage provisions. While exact operational costs might vary, owning a yacht of this caliber can cost millions annually.

Eros yacht had its moment in the limelight during Season 3 of Below Deck

The Eros yacht was renamed for the TV show, but its actual name is Mustang Sally. Although its owner is not directly mentioned, we do know it's a luxurious vessel available for charter . That said, it is not easy to estimate the net worth of the owner. If you're curious about other yacht owners from the show, consider Bobby Genovese, the owner of the Valor yacht. He is a successful entrepreneur with a net worth of around $200 million.

While the exact purchase price of the Eros is not publicly available, similar yachts of the same size and age have been known to cost tens of millions of dollars. For example, the Valor yacht costs around $15,000,000. Keep in mind that yacht prices can vary widely based on factors such as age, brand, customizations, and maintenance history.

Operating a yacht like Eros incurs significant expenses. The average annual costs can be roughly divided as follows:

Crew salaries : This is usually the largest expense, accounting for about 50% of the total operating cost. Expect to pay anywhere from $100,000 to $200,000 per year for a full-time crew.

Maintenance and repairs : Depending on the yacht's age and condition, this can be around 10–20% of the total operating cost.

Dockage and storage fees : These can vary depending on the location and marina services, accounting for about 10–15% of the operating costs.

Fuel : Fuel expenses can be quite significant, as yachts like Eros consume large amounts of fuel. This can be around 10–15% of the total operating cost.

Insurance : Yacht insurance costs depend on the vessel's value, with estimates ranging from 1–3% of the yacht's value annually. Given these factors, the annual operating cost of a yacht like Eros could be around 10% of its value.

Talisman Maiton was featured in Below Deck Mediterranean's third season

The owners of Talisman Maiton are the Pears Brothers, British businessmen and philanthropists with an estimated net worth of $3 billion. Talisman Maiton is a 177-foot luxury yacht that was built in 2006 by Proteksan Turquoise and underwent a major refit in 2017.

Talisman Maiton is an impressive superyacht that boasts a spacious sun deck, an eclectically styled interior with Art Deco features, and numerous amenities to ensure the comfort of its guests. As a result, you can expect the yacht's cost to be quite considerable. To charter this beauty for a week, it is estimated that you'll need to pay around €231,000 during the low season and €266,000 in the high season.

Operational costs for a superyacht such as Talisman Maiton can be quite substantial. It's essential to consider the cost of fuel, maintenance, insurance, and crew salaries. While exact figures for Talisman Maiton are not available, yachts of a similar caliber could incur operating costs in the ballpark of $1–3 million per year. This estimate is based on several factors, such as the size and age of the vessel and its intended use (whether for private or commercial charter purposes).

The Parsifal III is currently owned by Danish entrepreneur Kim Vibe-Petersen. Kim is the CEO of the firm Scanomat, which designs automatic coffee brewers and coffee machines. His estimated net worth is $200 million. Vibe-Petersen's successful business ventures suggest that he is quite wealthy.

In general, the annual operating cost of a yacht can be estimated at around 10% of the yacht's value. Based on this estimate and the potential $20 million cost of Parsifal III, you can expect an annual operating cost of approximately $2 million.

Home was custom-built by Heesen Yachts

The yacht Home, featured on Below Deck, is owned by an American entrepreneur named Frank Zaccaria. Frank has made a fortune in various industries, including real estate development, construction, and luxury yachting. As a result, it's estimated that his net worth is around $200 million.

Home is a stunning 164-foot yacht that was custom-built by Heesen Yachts in 2017. As a state-of-the-art vessel, it boasts impressive eco-friendly features like an energy-efficient power system and extensive noise and vibration reduction. When it comes to pricing, the yacht Home is valued at around $34 million.

When it comes to enjoying a luxurious lifestyle aboard a superyacht like Home, there are significant operating costs to consider. Some of the expenses you'll need to account for include fuel, crew salaries, maintenance, and insurance. Typically, for a yacht of Home's size and caliber, annual operating costs can range from $3 million to $5 million.

Here's a breakdown of the key operating costs:

Fuel : With a large tank capacity of 30,000 liters and an approximate consumption of 1,000 liters per hour, fuel expenses can add up quickly. At cruising speed, Home can travel up to 4,500 nautical miles.

The owner of Lady Michelle is Mike Fernandez, who is a successful businessman and philanthropist with an estimated net worth of $500 million. Lady Michelle was built in 2007 and underwent a major refit in 2019. The yacht is available for charter and has been featured on the Below Deck franchise.

The Lady Michelle yacht is an exquisite vessel that combines elegance and grandeur, ensuring your sailing experience is lavish and unforgettable. Built by the reputable Benetti shipyard, this 164-foot superyacht boasts remarkable features and amenities. Though the exact cost of Lady Michelle is not publicly available, similar yachts built by Benetti can range between $20 and $40 million, depending on the level of customization and amenities.

Operating a superyacht like Lady Michelle can be quite expensive. Generally speaking, the annual operating costs of a yacht can amount to approximately 10% of its purchase price. For Lady Michelle, these costs might include crew salaries, maintenance and repairs, insurance and port fees, fuel, and provisions.

Considering the estimated value of Lady Michelle, you can expect the annual operating expenses to be in the range of $2 to $4 million. Keep in mind that this is a rough estimation, as operating costs will vary depending on usage and maintenance requirements.

The Wellington is also known as M/Y Wellesley

The owner of this magnificent vessel prefers to remain anonymous, which is quite common in the world of yachting. However, estimates suggest that the owner's net worth is in the multi-million-dollar range, considering the value and upkeep of the yacht.

The Wellington yacht is nothing short of breathtaking with its sleek design and luxurious amenities. To give you an idea of its value, the cost to rent the yacht for summer charters starts at €230,000, or $273,500 per week. For winter charters, the price slightly decreases to €220,000 or $259,500 per week. It's worth mentioning that these prices are exclusive of expenses, making it quite an investment for anyone looking to experience life on The Wellington firsthand.

Operating a yacht like The Wellington is an expensive undertaking. Although the exact operating costs are difficult to calculate without knowledge of the crew size, maintenance needs, and fuel consumption, estimates suggest that operating costs for a yacht of this caliber can range from 10% to 20% of the yacht's value per year. This includes expenses such as fuel, insurance, dock fees, crew wages, and maintenance and repairs.

Sirocco was built by Heesen Yachts

Sirocco, one of the stunning yachts featured on Below Deck Mediterranean , is owned by Glenn McMahon. Glenn has an estimated net worth of around $200 million. His wealth comes from various successful business ventures and investments. More information about Glenn can be found here.

Built in 2006 by the respected Heesen Yachts, Sirocco measures 154 feet in length. This luxurious vessel features six cabins that can comfortably accommodate up to 12 guests. If you're wondering about the cost of this masterpiece, Sirocco has an estimated value of around $18 million. Check out more details about the yacht here.

This includes crew salaries, maintenance, fuel, insurance, and other associated expenses. For Sirocco, this means you're looking at an annual operating cost of approximately $1.8 million. Keep in mind that these costs can vary depending on how frequently the yacht is used, and where it's cruising. Find more information on yacht operating costs here.

St David was built by Benetti

The magnificent St. David is owned by Czech millionaire David Beran, who was born on September 26, 1967. Beran is the founder of the Profireal Group, one of the largest financial companies in Czechia. He has a glamorous wife, Terezia Dobrovolna, a Czech model. Together, they enjoy the opulence and prestige that the yacht offers. Although his precise net worth isn't publicly disclosed, it's evident that he has amassed a significant fortune to own such a luxurious yacht.

St. David is a 60-meter (197ft) superyacht delivered in 2008 by the renowned Italian shipyard Benetti. It boasts a stunning, supercar-inspired profile that instantly draws attention wherever it goes. Since the yacht is fully customized, featuring interior and exterior designs by the British studio Winch Design, the exact cost of building St. David may vary. However, given the details and the typical market value of similar luxury yachts, it's safe to say that it has a value of around $35 million.

As an owner of St. David, you would likely need to cover costs such as fuel, maintenance, crew salaries, insurance, and various provisions for guests. Generally, it's estimated that maintaining a superyacht can cost between 10% and 20% of the yacht's value annually. So, given the approximate $35 million worth of St. David, you could expect to spend around $3.5 million to $7 million per year to keep this striking vessel in tip-top shape, and provide the lavish experience that it's known for.

Honor is also known as Lumiere

Honor was the yacht featured in the first season of Below Deck. The Italian-made luxury yacht's owner remains undisclosed, but it's known that the yacht has a history under the names Barents, Sotavento, Cuor di Leone, and Lionheart. While the exact net worth of the owner is not available, you can assume that they have significant wealth, as owning and maintaining a yacht of this caliber typically requires considerable financial resources.

While purchasing a yacht like Honor or Lumiere can vary in cost depending on factors such as age, condition, and manufacturer, the price can generally range from around $10 million to $20 million or more. To obtain a more accurate cost estimate for an individual yacht, it's essential to consult an expert or yacht broker.

You can expect to spend around 10% of the yacht's value annually on operating expenses. These expenses might include crew salaries, fuel, insurance, maintenance and repairs, dockage fees, and food and provisions for guests. If Honor is valued at $15 million, the annual operating costs could amount to approximately $1.5 million. However, these costs will vary depending on the specific yacht, its usage, and other circumstances.

Mercury cruises through the breathtaking Norwegian fjords

The charter superyacht Mercury is an impressive vessel exploring the majestic Norwegian fjords. Unfortunately, the specific owner's name and net worth are not publicly disclosed. However, you can assume that they likely have significant wealth, as owning and operating a superyacht is no small feat and is typically reserved for the wealthy.

The cost of buying a superyacht like Mercury can vary greatly depending on its size, features, and overall luxury. While the exact cost of Mercury is not publicly available, superyachts can range in price from tens of millions to hundreds of millions of dollars. It's safe to assume that Mercury's price tag lies within those ranges, given its appearance on the popular reality show.

Operating costs for a superyacht like Mercury can also vary widely. Some of the typical costs include:

Fuel : Superyachts can consume huge amounts of fuel, leading to daily expenses in the thousands.

Crew salaries : A superyacht typically employs a full-time crew to maintain and operate the vessel, with salaries depending on the crew member's role and experience.

Maintenance : Regular maintenance, refits, and repairs are essential for keeping a superyacht in top condition, and these costs can add up quickly.

Docking fees : Finding space to dock a large vessel like Mercury can be expensive, especially in sought-after locations.

To give you a general idea, annual operating costs for a superyacht usually amount to about 10% of the vessel's initial purchase price. Keep in mind that every yacht will have unique expenses depending on various factors, so this estimation might not reflect Mercury's exact operating cost.

Thalassa is also known as Keri Lee III

Thalassa is owned by Australian businessman Trevor Lee and his wife, fashion designer Keri Craig-Lee. Their combined estimated net worth is not publicly available, but they have successfully made careers in both the business and fashion sectors. Keri is a renowned fashion designer in Australia, having established her eponymous label, Keri Craig.

The cost of the Thalassa or Keri Lee III is not disclosed, but luxury superyachts of similar size typically cost tens of millions of dollars. For a comparison, the St. David, a yacht featured in season 10 of Below Deck, has a sales price of around $20.6 million.

Generally, it is estimated that the annual operating cost for a yacht is around 10% of its initial purchase price. For a yacht like Thalassa or Keri Lee III, these costs could include crew salaries, ongoing maintenance, fuel, food, and insurance expenses. Please note that specific operational costs for Thalassa or Keri Lee III are not publicly available, and this is a general estimation based on industry standards.

Below deck: what happened to deckhand connie arias after season 3.

Connie Arias appeared on Below Deck season 3 as a deckhand. Find out more about what Connie is up to in 2024.

  • Connie Arias, a former deckhand on Below Deck season 3, still works in the boating industry and owns a boat management company.
  • Connie was known for her hilarious antics on the show and enjoyed showing some skin, often covering herself with whipped cream.
  • Connie got engaged in 2020 and expressed her desire for Captain Lee to officiate the wedding. She has a close friendship with former chief stew Kate.

Connie Arias appeared on Below Deck season 3 as a deckhand, and she seems to still work in the industry to this day. While on the hit Bravo series, Connie developed close relationships with her crewmates. Not only was she close with her exterior team but also with the interior team. Connie didn't gravitate toward one group of people in the group and mainly stayed natural throughout the season. As fans await Below Deck season 11 , it's time to catch up with Connie.

Connie was known for her hilarious antics throughout her time on the show. During one of her infamous confessionals, Connie admitted that she enjoyed showing some skin, which prompted her to take her clothes off quite a few times throughout that season. Connie would often cover herself with nothing but whipped cream. The adventurous deckhand offered most of the comic relief throughout her season and is still missed from one of the best reality TV shows after all these years.

Connie Still Works In The Boating Industry After Below Deck

After departing the Eros yacht after Below Deck season 3, Connie returned to her home in Melbourne Beach, Florida, where she began her boat management company (via Bravo ). Since then, however, it's unclear if she still owns the company. Connie still seems to work on boats, but it needs to be clarified if the boats she works on are yachts. According to her Instagram, Connie has been doing a lot of fishing for the past few years. The former reality star recently shared a couple of snaps of her holding a medium-sized red-ish fish and two giant lobsters. She also traveled to the Bahamas, catching several exciting sea creatures.

Connie Got Engaged After Below Deck

Besides her career moving in the right direction, Connie has also found love after appearing on Below Deck . According to Bravo , Connie announced she was engaged in 2020. The deckhand became engaged shortly after her time on the show on May 21, 2017. Regarding her engagement, it's unknown whether she and Scott have gotten married. Nonetheless, Connie expressed her desire for Captain Lee to officiate the wedding. Regarding Connie's close friendship with former chief stew Kate, they appeared together on the Below Deck aftershow, Galley Talk .

It's been years since Connie appeared on Below Deck , and while she looks back on her time fondly, she seems to have moved on. Her life appears wholly fulfilled personally and professionally, so she might seek a new adventure. Luckily, she keeps her social media up to date.

The show has dropped anchor in many gorgeous locales, from the Caribbean Islands to Thailand.

eros yacht below deck

Ever since  Below Deck   washed ashore onto TV screens in  July 2013 , viewers have been invested in how first  Captain Lee Rosbach  and now Captain Kerry Titheradge  would handle both the pressure of running another successful charter season and the yachts themselves.

How to Watch

Watch  Below Deck on Bravo Mondays at 9/8c and next day on  Peacock . Catch up on the Bravo App .

After 10 years of  Below Deck  and more than 100 episodes of the Emmy nominated reality show , the drama and scenic waters never get old. But, the show almost never set sail.

In an interview with  The Daily Dish , executive producer Courtland Cox said that it was hard to find crew members to get on board for the first season. "Initially, it was very hard to get yacht crew members to commit to doing the show because it was an unknown entity," he said. "People didn't know what Below Deck was."

But if people aren't aware by now, they should be. Any season of  Below Deck  will introduce you to charter guests with very unique personalities that you can only encounter on a mega yacht, make you fall in love with crew members who you can't help but to root for, and take you to places you've never been to before.

Read on to learn about every single location in  Below Deck  history.

Below Deck Season 1: St. Maarten

The cast of Below Deck Season 1 sit on a dock

The first episode in the first ever season of  Below Deck  franchise history started out in St. Maarten, which is in the Lesser Antilles in the Caribbean. This location made it convenient for guests who wanted to island hop.

"The mega yacht is the ultimate floating playground for the rich and famous," said second deckhand David Bradberry . "Chartering a yacht for just a weekend costs more than your house."

This season was the first to feature yacht  M/Y Honor  and introduce audiences to Captain Lee Rosbach , the fearless leader guiding  Honor and hosting all of the charter guests, as well as  Below Deck  mainstay, Chef Ben Robinson . St. Maarten served as the perfect backdrop for the crew to get to know each other, as they would go to clubs in between charters and get involved in romantic relationships with one another on and off the ship.

Below Deck Season 2: British Virgin Islands

The cast of Below Deck Season 2 on the deck of Ohana

Captain Lee was next in charge of commanding the  M/Y Ohana  around the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean in Season 2 of  Below Deck , docking in the lovely British Virgin Islands.

This was the first time a brother and sister served on the crew together — Kelley Johnson and Amy Johnson — and it was long time chief steward Kate Chastain 's debut working under Captain Lee. Luckily, Kate was able to prove that she knew how to run a tight ship throughout the season, even when things got a little rocky.

The crew had to deal with outspoken and demanding charter guests, in addition to Season 1 chief stew, Adrienne Gang , showing up as a charter guest and causing a bit of chaos.

Hey, no one said that the British Virgin Islands were synonymous with smooth sailing.

Below Deck Season 3: The Bahamas

Below Deck Season 3 takes place in the Bahamas.

New view, new crew. Captain Lee, chief stew Kate, and bosun Eddie Lucas all made their return in Season 3, this time sailing around the Bahamas on  M/Y Eros.

"The Bahamas is such a unique chain of islands," Eddie said in Season 3 episode 1, when the boat was docked in Abaco, Bahamas.

The azure waters also served as a scenic backdrop for everything else that went down. The Real Housewives of Atlanta  cast member,  Cynthia Bailey , showed up as a charter guest, and two crew members took Captain Lee up on his favorite threat of offering them a ticket home with their tip payout — with Chef Ben having to come to the rescue in later episodes to pick up the pieces.

Below Deck Season 4: U.S. Virgin Islands

Captain Lee sailed to the US Virgin Islands in Below Deck Season 4.

Kate, Chef Ben, newly promoted bosun Kelley Johnson , and Captain Lee found themselves docked in the U.S. Virgin Islands around Tortola, at the start of Season 4. This time, the crew was aboard  M/Y Valor , and Kate could not have been happier. "This is like, my dream interior," she said, when she got on the boat in Season 4, Episode 1.

"I always enjoy working for Captain Lee," Kate added. "We know each other's quirks, we know each other's strengths, and he trusts me."

Although Captain Lee wished that this would be the one charter season without a change in crew members, things got a little tense with senior deckhand, Trevor Walker , due to "lack of respect," which led to his removal from the boat and Captain Lee sending for a replacement.

Below Deck Season 5: St. Maarten

Below Deck season 5 takes place in Saint Maarten.

Captain Lee, Kate, and newly promoted lead deckhand , Nico Scholly , returned for Season 5 and headed back to the Caribbean and to Saint Maarten, where the first season was shot. "Oh, to be back in the Caribbean," Kate said in Season 5, Episode 1. "I'm excited."

RELATED: Where to Watch and Stream Below Deck

But there was a bit of a learning curve for the crew to get over. Although they were back on board  M/Y Valor , this was Captain Lee's most "green" crew yet , with the majority of the deckhands and stewards (besides the returning members) having minimal experience.

Below Deck Season 6: Tahiti

Below Deck Season 6 took place for the first time outside of the Caribbean.

In the sixth season, Captain Lee got to say goodbye to the Caribbean and hello to Tahiti for a much welcomed change of pace from the past five yachting seasons. "Tahiti is gorgeous," Kate said in Season 6, Episode 1. "I feel like I've stepped back into a land before time."

This location change was in the wake of Hurricane Irma , which devastated the Caribbean in 2017. "It's going to take them a while to recover from it," Captain Lee said in Episode 1, this time steering M/Y Seanna . "Tahiti has been on my bucket list for years and years. And while we're all pulling and we all stand behind the Caribbean, we are really excited to be chartering here this season."

But a change of location proved to be a bit difficult, mainly with new weather, new waters, and a gorgeous, lush location to get adjusted to. Still, Captain Lee and Kate, who were the only returning crew members, were able to make do, even with an all new crew and brand new chef.

Below Deck Season 7: Phuket, Thailand

Kate Chastain stands on the boat in Thailand.

Season 7 found Captain Lee, his trusty chief stew , Kate, and returning bosun, Ashton Pienaar , in Thailand, which was a brand new territory and waters for all three of them. "I am so excited to be in Thailand," Kate said in Season 7, Episode 1. "This has been a bucket list item for years."

"The scenery in Thailand is just massively impressive," Captain Lee added.

Again, they found themselves aboard  M/Y Valor  which was like "riding a bike," Kate noted, but with a whole new crew . Luckily, the turquoise blue waters and lush environment surrounding them helped with dissipating any new-season jitters and getting adjusted to the extreme heat outside.

But, at the end of Season 7, viewers said goodbye to Kate .

Below Deck Season 8: Antigua

Captain Lee returned to the Caribbean in Season 8 of Below Deck.

Season 8 saw the return of Captain Lee and  bosun, Eddie  (who had appeared on the first three seasons) to both the  M/Y Seanna and the Caribbean, with the crew docking the boat off the coast of Antigua.

Of course, Captain Lee was excited. "It's been years since I've been in the Caribbean, and I miss the hell out of it," he said in Season 8, Episode 1. "White sandy beaches, crystal blue water. It's like putting on your favorite pair of blue jeans. It's like going home again."

RELATED: Kate Chastain Explains How Her Life Has Changed the Most Since Becoming a Mom

But home isn't always where the heart is. Viewers were introduced to new, no-nonsense Chef Rachel Hargrove , detail-oriented chief stew, Francesca Rubi , and a relatively green crew. But, the charter season was cut short when the COVID-19 pandemic started spreading across the world, leaving Captain Lee and the crew unsure of the future.

Below Deck Season 9: St. Kitts

Eddie returned for Season 9 of Below Deck.

"Saint Kitts is like absolute paradise," Eddie said in Season 9, Episode 1, returning after  getting promoted to first mate at the end of Season 8. "It seems untouched, wild. Exotic, volcanic, explosive."

And this season certainly started off with a bang: Captain Lee had a delay getting to the ship,  and  sent in a replacement , Captain Sean , to steer the  M/Y Seanna for the first two episodes. But even with that hiccup, returning Chef Rachel was still able to knock out some innovative meals while the rest of the new crew figured out their feelings for one another while trying to keep their guests as happy as possible.

Below Deck Season 10: St. Lucia

Below Deck Season 10 takes place in St. Lucia

Season 10 started out with a new yacht,  M/Y  St. David , and a brand new location in the Caribbean — St. Lucia — for the Below Deck crew. Luckily, it was one of Captain Lee's favorites places to sail.

"St. Lucia is the most beautiful island in the Caribbean," Captain Lee said in Season 10 Episode 1. "It's green from beach, all the way up to the top. And it's lush. It's straight out of a postcard. And it's just like, wow."

RELATED: The Below Deck Captains: A Complete List

But Season 10 also started off with a brand new array of challenges — including a medical issue for Captain Lee , which forced him to leave the season for a few charters; he was  temporarily replaced by  Below Deck Mediterranean's   Captain Sandy Yawn . This season also saw the crew figure out how to meet the demands of guests and figure out their relationships with one another, all while attempting to navigate the large interior of the  St. David .

In the words of Captain Lee, it had all of the makings of a "sh-t sandwich." But, thanks to their fearless leader, the crew was able to make it through and complete yet another successful charter season.

Below Deck Season 11: Grenada

The harbor of St. George in Grenada

Season 11 introduced a brand new captain — Below Deck Adventure ’s Captain Kerry Titheradge — and a brand new location, Grenada .

Not to be confused with Granada , a city in Spain that sits at the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains, Grenada is an island country located in the Caribbean. It is nicknamed the “ Spice Isle ” due to its production of spices like nutmeg, cinnamon, ginger, and cloves.

Grenada is located 30 miles away from the Grenadines island chain located in the West Indies, and about 125 miles north of Venezuela.

This island is known its lush climate, tropical temperatures, sandy beaches, and opportunity for adventure, making it the perfect docking spot for Season 11.

Cruising the Moskva River: A short guide to boat trips in Russia’s capital

eros yacht below deck

There’s hardly a better way to absorb Moscow’s atmosphere than on a ship sailing up and down the Moskva River. While complicated ticketing, loud music and chilling winds might dampen the anticipated fun, this checklist will help you to enjoy the scenic views and not fall into common tourist traps.

How to find the right boat?

There are plenty of boats and selecting the right one might be challenging. The size of the boat should be your main criteria.

Plenty of small boats cruise the Moskva River, and the most vivid one is this yellow Lay’s-branded boat. Everyone who has ever visited Moscow probably has seen it.

eros yacht below deck

This option might leave a passenger disembarking partially deaf as the merciless Russian pop music blasts onboard. A free spirit, however, will find partying on such a vessel to be an unforgettable and authentic experience that’s almost a metaphor for life in modern Russia: too loud, and sometimes too welcoming. Tickets start at $13 (800 rubles) per person.

Bigger boats offer smoother sailing and tend to attract foreign visitors because of their distinct Soviet aura. Indeed, many of the older vessels must have seen better days. They are still afloat, however, and getting aboard is a unique ‘cultural’ experience. Sometimes the crew might offer lunch or dinner to passengers, but this option must be purchased with the ticket. Here is one such  option  offering dinner for $24 (1,490 rubles).

eros yacht below deck

If you want to travel in style, consider Flotilla Radisson. These large, modern vessels are quite posh, with a cozy restaurant and an attentive crew at your service. Even though the selection of wines and food is modest, these vessels are still much better than other boats.

eros yacht below deck

Surprisingly, the luxurious boats are priced rather modestly, and a single ticket goes for $17-$32 (1,100-2,000 rubles); also expect a reasonable restaurant bill on top.

How to buy tickets?

Women holding photos of ships promise huge discounts to “the young and beautiful,” and give personal invitations for river tours. They sound and look nice, but there’s a small catch: their ticket prices are usually more than those purchased online.

“We bought tickets from street hawkers for 900 rubles each, only to later discover that the other passengers bought their tickets twice as cheap!”  wrote  (in Russian) a disappointed Rostislav on a travel company website.

Nevertheless, buying from street hawkers has one considerable advantage: they personally escort you to the vessel so that you don’t waste time looking for the boat on your own.

eros yacht below deck

Prices start at $13 (800 rubles) for one ride, and for an additional $6.5 (400 rubles) you can purchase an unlimited number of tours on the same boat on any given day.

Flotilla Radisson has official ticket offices at Gorky Park and Hotel Ukraine, but they’re often sold out.

Buying online is an option that might save some cash. Websites such as  this   offer considerable discounts for tickets sold online. On a busy Friday night an online purchase might be the only chance to get a ticket on a Flotilla Radisson boat.

This  website  (in Russian) offers multiple options for short river cruises in and around the city center, including offbeat options such as ‘disco cruises’ and ‘children cruises.’ This other  website  sells tickets online, but doesn’t have an English version. The interface is intuitive, however.

Buying tickets online has its bad points, however. The most common is confusing which pier you should go to and missing your river tour.

eros yacht below deck

“I once bought tickets online to save with the discount that the website offered,” said Igor Shvarkin from Moscow. “The pier was initially marked as ‘Park Kultury,’ but when I arrived it wasn’t easy to find my boat because there were too many there. My guests had to walk a considerable distance before I finally found the vessel that accepted my tickets purchased online,” said the man.

There are two main boarding piers in the city center:  Hotel Ukraine  and  Park Kultury . Always take note of your particular berth when buying tickets online.

Where to sit onboard?

Even on a warm day, the headwind might be chilly for passengers on deck. Make sure you have warm clothes, or that the crew has blankets ready upon request.

The glass-encased hold makes the tour much more comfortable, but not at the expense of having an enjoyable experience.

eros yacht below deck

Getting off the boat requires preparation as well. Ideally, you should be able to disembark on any pier along the way. In reality, passengers never know where the boat’s captain will make the next stop. Street hawkers often tell passengers in advance where they’ll be able to disembark. If you buy tickets online then you’ll have to research it yourself.

There’s a chance that the captain won’t make any stops at all and will take you back to where the tour began, which is the case with Flotilla Radisson. The safest option is to automatically expect that you’ll return to the pier where you started.

River Cruise on Luxurious Radisson Boat

Equipped with ice-breaking technology, these huge fancy yachts are the only river cruisers running all year around. The round trip journey takes two and a half hours and floats past all the big sights like the White House, Novodevichy monastery and the Kremlin. There’s a large open air observation deck up top, while the main body of the ship houses a restaurant with a dance floor for a romantic post dinner dance. For a particularly romantic experience take one of the evening boats and admire the bright lights of the city skyline at night.

The most relaxing and picturesque tour that Moscow can offer: a great way to see the city center and its main attractions. This is a perfect alternative to exploring the city by car, if you only have time to do sightseeing during weekday rush hours.

Your English-speaking guide is eager to share every bit of their knowledge about the surrounding landscape, the architecture and historical details.

We conduct Moscow river tour on Radisson Flotilla boats all year around!  It’s warm inside during winter months, while there’s air conditioning during hot summer days. You may also treat yourself to drinks, lunch or dinner on board (drinks and food are not included in tour price).

Buying 'Below Deck's Eros Will Take A Lot Of Cash

eros yacht below deck

When embarking on a marathon of Below Deck , it's common to wonder about what it's like to have enough cash to spend on a fancy yacht trip. While a week or two-long charter is nice and all, what about getting to take yacht trips whenever you want? Just how much does it cost to buy Eros ? Well, in its non- Below Deck form, the Eros actually goes by the name "Mustang Sally," and thanks to its many upgrades, improvements, and new reality TV fame, Yacht Charter World reports that it was recently sold for $17.9 million.

Obviously, there are not many people who can afford to spend that much for a mode of transportation that is essentially meant for vacation. But if by some crazy chance you did have $18 million lying around, I think throwing down for Eros is well worth the price. Seriously, if you're in the market for a way to spend your money, think of all the perks that come with owning a huge boat like Eros. First and foremost, you could live every day like it was an episode of Below Deck . But even if that's not enough, there are plenty of other reasons why owning the Eros would be a dream come true.

Unlimited Alcohol

I'm sure I've brought this up every single time I've written about Below Deck , but there's something about being on the ocean that just makes day drinking even more desirable. Is it the fresh sea breeze? Or just the fact that there's plenty of people to serve it to you who aren't allowed to judge? I'm not sure, but I can't think about Below Deck without thinking about mimosas. The only downside? You'd have to re-stock the bar pretty often.

Take As Many Charters As You Want

Hey, the more time you spend out on the seas, the more the yacht pays for itself. With each week-long charter valued at over $200,000, that means that you only need to go out on Eros (Mustang Sally) for eight to nine and a half weeks to pay off the $18 million you spent. That's a bargain!

You Can Switch Bedrooms Every Night For Over A Week

With 11 different bunks for the guests, if you choose to ride solo instead of bringing a crew of your closest friends on board, you can enjoy the varied accommodations for a week and a half. A new bed every night, with a crew (of up to 10 people) to make the previous night's for you.

You Can Enjoy Having A Staff At Your Beck & Call

If you want to max out the crew, you can bring up to ten people on board. And if you bring all of them, it will feel like being the upper class side of an upstairs-downstairs British drama. Just be warned that your crew is going to need payment — and they're going to want to be treated well if they'll be making all of your beds each night.

You Can Ask For Whatever You Want

In regular life, there's no one who will listen to your pleas for a foam party or watch you jetski or set up a huge inflatable slide for you. Actually, on second thought, if you just dropped $18 million on a yacht, you can probably get anyone to do anything you want, but there's something special about seeing it happen on a boat.

Take To The Seas & Become The World's Fanciest Pirate

I've always been drawn to the lifestyle of a pirate, but wish that it was possible to be a marauder who also showered regularly. If you buy the Eros, you can both sail the high seas with command of your crew (well, technically, the captain will have command of the crew, but you get the idea) and bathe. Buying the yacht from Below Deck may be out of reach for just about everyone, but if it's something you can afford, it certainly seems like a fun, if not practical, purchase.
