Trinity Yachts is pleased to announce its first launch of 2012 called motor yacht Tsumat , a 164’ (49.9m) Tri-Deck custom built superyacht with aluminum hull and superstructure. The TSUMAT superyacht represents quintessential Trinity Yachts design, naval architecture and exterior styling. The new owner of the luxury yacht Tsumat is a repeat Trinity customer whose family has enjoyed yachting for many years. M/Y Tsumat is intended to provide every amenity for her active owner family and their guests and would make an excellent charter yacht. Her layout includes six staterooms and a tender garage which allows for an oversized sundeck complete with workout stations and ample relaxation options.

With a draft of less than 8’ (<2.4m) at half load is one of Trinity Yachts’ marvels of superyacht engineering given a 164’ (49.9m) length—the Tsumat motor yacht manoeuvres  easily in shallow-water destinations. Simultaneously, yacht Tsumat’s 28’ (8.5m) beam creates exceptionally large living space and plentiful and comfortable room for crew. Tsumat is able to accommodate 12 owners and guests, and 11 crew.

The Trinity superyacht TSUMAT boasts an inspired interior designcreated by J. C. Espinosa of Espinosa, Inc. and Ramon Alonso of Museotec with dynamic input from her owners provides modern appointments to yacht Tsumat’s exceptional use of space.

Megayacht TSUMAT is able to accommodate 12 guests in a six stateroom all ensuite layout including a full-width main deck owner’s king master suite with an adjacent owner’s study and walk up ensuite His and Her heads. There is room enough for seating, ample storage and a 42” plasma TV. Four guest staterooms—two queen and two twin cabins for children and their friends are located on the lower deck amidships. A fifth queen guest stateroom features breath-taking views from the pilothouse deck.

The main deck is highlighted by wonderfully open space in the main and dining saloons including elegant seating for 12, a complete bar and wine cellar; a spacious galley with island bar seating for enjoying the preparation of elegant cuisine; and, a full beam al fresco lounge.

Motor yacht Tsumat’s full-width skylounge also features seating for 12 to dine al fresco, the captain’s ensuite stateroom, pilot house, two sun pads, and, as noted, the fifth guest stateroom.  Her sundeck is immense: hot tub, bar, dining for eight, quad chaise lounging, treadmills, weights, twin sun pads and still room for the rescue tender. Whether recreating or relaxing, Tsumat’s uppermost deck opens to the world’s oceans with unparalleled amenities and expanses.

All Trinity custom superyachts represent a decidedly unique collaboration between owner and builder, engineering team and designers, captain, crew, family and friends. At her launch and upon final delivery in 2012 the yacht Tsumat exemplifies the very nature of what it means to own a Trinity Yacht:  the ability to have a yacht custom built for the particular needs and uniqueness of the individual.

By Katia Damborsky   6 November 2020

Fresh from a refit and in pristine condition, the 50m (164ft) motor yacht TSUMAT is set to become a popular platform for yacht charter in the Bahamas and other tropical hotspots.

Built on the same platform as a number of other successful luxury charter yachts from American yard Trinity, TSUMAT offers a selection of excellent amenities and on-board facilities for her charter guests.

Chief among them is her sundeck, which features a well-appointed jacuzzi pool in an elevated position, alongside a large bar, shaded dining set-up and gym equipment in a prime waterfront position.

The sundeck offers a great vantage point for soaking up the sights of her future cruising grounds. From the white sand cays of the Bahamas to the lush forests of the Caribbean, TSUMAT knows how to transport her guests in comfort and style.

Launched in 2012 and refitted earlier this year, TSUMAT has a name which means ‘beautiful girl’ or ‘princess’ in an ancient Mexican dialect. She certainly lives up to her name, with Polynesian style interiors from Espinosa Yacht Design and Radyca. She offers a spacious main salon and formal dining area, alongside a large skylounge with games table and a marble-topped bar.

Accommodation is provided for 12 guests in six cabins, which includes a generous full-beam split-level Owner’s suite with panoramic views over the surroundings. The remaining cabins can be found on the lower deck of the motor yacht , with the exception of one cabin on the upper deck.

TSUMAT has a name which means ‘beautiful girl’ or ‘princess’ in an ancient Mexican dialect.

The yacht has an exceptional variety of alfresco areas for guests on a private yacht charter to take advantage of. As well as a dining arrangement and comfortable circular seating space on the aft decks, the aforementioned sundeck has a superb sunpad spread and sunloungers for making the most out of the Caribbean’s warm sun and clear skies.

There is also an intimate foredeck space with a marble table and little sofa where guests can kick back while underway.

For making the most out of the region’s inviting waters and colorful coral reefs, the yacht has a locker of toys and accessories at guests’ disposal, including a Waverunner, kayaks, waterslide, canoes, paddleboards and a wide range of inflatable toys.

To be among the first to book her this winter, please get in touch with your preferred yacht charter broker .

Tsumat, the Newest Launch at Trinity Yachts

  • By Diane M. Byrne
  • Updated: February 14, 2012

Last month saw the launch of Tsumat at Trinity Yachts .

Measuring 164 feet (49.9 meters), Tsumat is for experienced megayacht owners. They previously owned a Trinity and commissioned the 144-foot (44-meter) Tajin in 2000 from the now-defunct Trident Shipyard.

Like Tajin, Tsumat bears interior design by Espinosa , with additional work by the architectural design firm Museotec and, of course, plentiful input from the owners. They requested a modern look that would be comfortable for their family, including children. The children get two twin-bedded cabins below decks among the four total guest staterooms there. (A fifth guest stateroom is on the bridge deck, and the master suite is on the main deck.) But, chances are the hot tub and sunpads on the sundeck will compete for their attention.

The grown-ups among the owners’ party should enjoy the hot tub, too, as well as the workout equipment that can be set up aft. When the day is done, they can enjoy drinks at the bar in the full-beam (28-foot, or 8.5-meter) skylounge, then alfresco dining just aft or back up on the sundeck. Or, if they want to learn how the chef makes specialties, there are barstools lining the island in the galley. No matter where they decide to dine, Tsumat has a healthy wine “cellar” to keep the libations flowing.

A crew of 11 will keep the all-aluminum Tsumat and her twin 3,384-hp Caterpillars running.

TSUMAT's yacht lower deck houses four staterooms, as well as the crew accommodations. Divided into two queen staterooms and two twins, the guest ensuite staterooms were especially designed for those with children. Aft, you'll find the engine room, with three crew cabins and a crew mess located forward. The garage houses the main tender, in addition to toys such as paddleboards, jets skis and canoes.

The main deck of TSUMAT yacht is accentuated by her expansive open spaces, such as her main dining saloon. Rather than having a divided saloon and dining room, the dining room is integrated with the saloon seating area to create a single large and spacious area ideal for relaxing and eating. Her large galley includes island bar seating, so guests can watch their delicious meals being made in style.

Inside the master suite, a corridor with impressive 3.5 meter high ceilings leads forward past the adjacent owner's study to a luxurious dressing area with room for seating, ample storage and a 42' plasma tv. The oversized wardrobe doors and space feature extensive use of leather and onyx. The corridor leads up the stairs to the main cabin, which has been elevated to a mezzanine level for better views. A low leather wall separates the cabin from the dressing area, while the ensuite bathroom, with His and Her heads, lies aft. Outdoors, her main aft deck offers plenty of room for al-fresco dining and includes a lounge complete with rattan sofas and chairs.

The upper deck of TSUMAT features a VIP guest cabin, which offers expansive views of the surroundings. The pilothouse was pushed forward to accommodate the extra cabin, with the captain's ensuite cabin located opposite. The upper saloon features a bar, set lower than usual to enhance the feeling of relaxation. The floor behind the bar was purposefully lowered for guests to watch their bartender prepare their drinks. The space is complete with a game table, a fold-down TV and couches for entertaining and unwinding at the end of the day. Outdoors, the sky lounge features seating for 12 to dine al fresco in addition to two large sunpads.

TSUMAT's sundeck is immense for a superyacht her size. Housing a jacuzzi, al-fresco dining for up to 8, exercise equipment, and twin sun pads.

Superyacht Tsumat delivered by Trinity Yachts

Launched in January 2012 and making her debut at the latest Fort Lauderdale boat show, the motor yacht Tsumat (hull T057) is now officially announced as delivered by Trinity. She comes from the successful 49.9 metre all-aluminium series designed by the yard’s in-house team. ABS classed and MCA compliant, the yacht has an interior styled by JC Espinosa and Ramon Alonso of Loguer Design.

'This is the second yacht I have designed for this particular client' said JC Espinosa. 'His request, as in the previous project, was for a clean, modern and elegant design. Since he always travels with family and friends, we provided large outdoor gathering spaces on all decks and an open interior plan with large spaces flowing together within the public areas.'

Her interior layout accommodates 12 guests in six cabins – the usual split-level owner suite enjoying a panoramic front view, a VIP cabin on the bridge deck, and two doubles and two twins on the lower deck. Features include spacious main and dining saloons, complete with bar and wine cellar, an island bar in the galley which allows guests to watch their food being prepared and a full beam alfresco lounge on the aft deck.

'The design team's Latin and European influences and the use of select materials and elements historically found in Mexican architecture such as walnut lattices, solid blocks of stone and hand-stitched leather details with a high level of craftsmanship were the key ingredients in the creation of Tsumat’s interiors. Coupled with the design concept centered on comfort, attention to detail and simplicity, Tsumat blends natural and high-end materials with the latest technology thus creating functional spaces of great elegance,' said Ramon Alonso of Loguer Design.

The crew quarters accommodate 11 members, while a stern garage stores the main tender, allowing more space for guests on the sun deck, which is comprehensively equipped with a spa pool, chaise longues, dining for eight and gymnasium equipment.

The yacht is powered by twin 3,384hp Caterpillar 3516B engines, giving her a top speed of 22.5 knots and a range of 3,700 nautical miles at 10 knots.

While Tsumat is now cruising between Florida and Mexico, Trinity is busy on five other projects scheduled to be delivered in the coming years.

US couple whose yacht was hijacked by prisoners were likely thrown overboard, authorities say

An American couple who was feared dead after their catamaran yacht was hijacked by three escaped prisoners were likely thrown overboard in the Caribbean Sea, authorities said Monday.

Ralph Hendry, 66, and his wife, Kathy Brandel, 71, were last known to be near Grand Anse Beach in Grenada. Their catamaran, named "Simplicity," was found abandoned in St. Vincent and there were signs of violence at the scene, according to Royal Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force spokesperson Junior Simmons.

Although family, friends, and members of the sailing community had hoped the pair was still alive, police in St. Vincent and the Grenadines said Hendry and Brandel were likely thrown into the ocean when their vessel was hijacked. "Based on the investigation thus far, it is presumed that Ralph Hendry and Kathy Brandel are deceased," Simmons said in a  video statement Monday .

Don McKenzie, police commissioner of the Royal Grenada Police Force, said at a news conference Monday that the three prisoners escaped on Feb. 18 from the South St. George Police Station. They hijacked the catamaran on the following day and traveled to the nearby island of St. Vincent, where they were arrested last Wednesday, he said.

Police: Prisoners 'disposed' occupants of Simplicity

After escaping from the South St. George Police Station, McKenzie said the three prisoners "commandeered" the catamaran, which had two U.S. citizens on board, Hendry and Brandel. The couple were likely thrown into the ocean and died, police in Grenada said.

“Information suggests that while traveling between Grenada and St Vincent, they disposed of the occupants,” McKenzie said.

McKenzie added that while police have "nothing conclusive" to prove that the couple was dead, he cited a "low probability" they were alive.

The suspects are being investigated for several criminal acts, including "bodily harm to the couple," according to Simmons. Authorities discovered signs of violence on the couple’s boat after it was found abandoned, he said.

"Several items were strewn on the deck and in the cabin, and a red substance that resembles blood was seen on board," Simmons said.

Police investigating prisoners' escape

According to the Royal Grenada Police Force, the escaped prisoners were identified as Ron Mitchell, 30; Trevon Robertson, 19; and Abita Stanislaus, 25.

All three were arrested and charged in December with one count of robbery with violence. Mitchell also was charged with one count of rape, three counts of attempted rape, and two counts of indecent assault and causing harm, police said.

McKenzie said police have launched an investigation into the escape and are looking into whether it was "a system failure" or a case of a "slip up."

"All aspects of that investigation are on the table," he said, adding that the police holding station where the three men were being held has "sufficient safety to prevent an incident like that (from) occurring."

The three men appeared in court in St. Vincent on Monday and pleaded guilty to four counts each of immigration-related charges, including entering the island as a "prohibited immigrant" with no passport, according to Simmons. They are scheduled to be sentenced on those charges in March.

Simplicity discovered by paddle-boarder near St. Vincent

The Salty Dawg Sailing Association said it was alerted by a cruising skipper about Simplicity, which was found "anchored and abandoned" off a beach on the island of St. Vincent. The association added that its live member’s tracking map showed the vessel anchored in Grenada before it moved to its last anchorage off St. Vincent.

"The good Samaritan had boarded the boat and noted that the owners … were not on board and found evidence of apparent violence," the association said in a statement.

People reported that a sailing captain was paddle-boarding near St. Vincent when he noticed the catamaran with a broken sail. When he boarded Simplicity, he found the deck covered in blood and two passports belonging to Brandel and Hendry, according to People.

The St. Vincent Coast Guard took possession of Simplicity and local police are investigating with the U.S. Embassy and the Grenada police, according to the association.

Family, sailing community mourns couple's disappearance

According to a GoFundMe page raising money for the couple's families, Hendry and Brandel were "seasoned sailors who lived on their beloved catamaran." The pair spent their retirement sailing, the GoFundMe page states.

"This heartbreaking tragedy has left not only the sailing community, but also their families, shattered," the GoFundMe page states, adding that Brandel had recently welcomed her first grandchild.

The couple had sailed their yacht in last year's Caribbean Rally from Hampton, Virginia, to Antigua, and were spending the winter cruising in the eastern Caribbean, the Salty Dawg Sailing Association said. The association noted that the couple were veteran cruisers and longtime members of the association from its earliest days.

"Warm-hearted and capable, they both contributed to building the SDSA and Kathy sat on the association’s board for two years," the association said.

In a statement from the couple's families on Saturday, they thanked authorities and those who helped gather information.

"It means so much to us that so many people cared for Ralph and Kathy as friends and fellow cruisers that they are willing to stop and help in whatever way possible," the couple's sons, Bryan Hendry and Nick Buro, said.

Travel advisories near the Caribbean

Both Grenada and St. Vincent and the Grenadines are listed under a Level 1 travel advisory, according to the U.S. State Department. A Level 1 travel advisory urges U.S. citizens to take normal precautions in the area.

Other Caribbean islands are more dangerous, with Level 2 and 3 advisories in effect for the Bahamas and Jamaica, respectively. The advisory for the Bahamas was issued last month , warning travelers to "exercise increased caution" due to crime in some areas.

A security alert posted by the  U.S. Embassy in the Bahamas also advised U.S. citizens to be "aware that 18 murders have occurred in Nassau since the beginning of 2024." The alert warns that murders have occurred at all hours including in broad daylight on the streets.

Read the latest: Here’s what to know about a US couple missing in the Caribbean

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (AP) — A U.S. couple whose catamaran was hijacked last week in the Caribbean by three escaped prisoners were presumed dead and likely had been thrown into the ocean, police said Monday.

The accounts by police in Grenada and in St. Vincent and the Grenadines were a blow to those who were independently helping search for Ralph Hendry and Kathy Brandel and had hoped they were alive.

Don McKenzie, commissioner of the Royal Grenada Police Force, said at a news conference that the three prisoners escaped on Feb. 18 from the South Saint George Police Station. They hijacked the catamaran Simplicity on the following day and then headed to St. Vincent, where they were arrested last Wednesday, he said.

“Information suggests that while traveling between Grenada and St. Vincent, they disposed of the occupants,” McKenzie said.

McKenzie said he had no conclusive proof that the couple was dead but cited a “low probability” they were alive.

Hours later, the main spokesman for the Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force posted a video saying that while no bodies have been found, the couple is presumed dead based on the investigation so far.

(AP Photo/Kenton Chance)

The suspects were being investigated for several criminal acts, including “bodily harm to the couple,” spokesman Junior Simmons said in the brief recorded statement. There were signs of violence on the couple’s boat found abandoned in St. Vincent, he said.

“Several items were strewn on the deck and in the cabin, and a red substance that resembles blood was seen on board,” he said.

The nonprofit Salty Dawg Sailing Association has said that Hendry and Brandel were “veteran cruisers” and longtime members of the association, calling them “warm-hearted and capable.”

It said the couple had sailed the yacht in last year’s Caribbean Rally from Hampton, Virginia, to Antigua, and were spending the winter cruising in the eastern Caribbean.

A son of Hendry and a son of Brandel did not immediately return messages for comment.

A GoFundMe page created to raise money for the couple’s family noted that Brandel had recently become a first-time grandmother, and that the sailing community was “shattered” by what happened.

“Kathy and Ralph, experienced adventurers, spent their retirement sailing aboard Simplicity, spending summers in New England and embracing the warmth of Caribbean winters,” the page stated.

McKenzie, Grenada’s police commissioner, said a five-person team was sent to St. Vincent to help with the investigation.

After his brief announcement on Monday, McKenzie and other police officials took questions from local media, including one reporter who asked, “Who is really to be blamed for this massive failure to keep these prisoners under the control of the (Royal Grenada Police Force) which has now resulted in this tragedy?”

McKenzie said police have launched an investigation into the escape and are looking into whether it was “a system failure” or a case of a “slip up.”

“All aspects of that investigation are on the table,” he said, adding that the police holding station where the three men were being held has “sufficient safety to prevent an incident like that (from) occurring.”

When the reporter asked why the three men who were arrested remained in a holding cell instead of prison, Vannie Curwen, assistant police commissioner, said the men first had to see a magistrate who would decide whether to grant bail or order them remanded.

The escaped prisoners, Trevon Robertson, a 19-year-old unemployed man; Abita Stanislaus, a 25-year-old farmer; and Ron Mitchell, a 30-year-old sailor; were charged a couple of months ago with one count of robbery with violence. Mitchell also was charged with one count of rape, three counts of attempted rape and two counts of indecent assault and causing harm, police in Grenada said.

Simmons said the three men appeared in court in St. Vincent on Monday and pleaded guilty to four counts each of immigration-related charges, including entering the island as a “prohibited immigrant” with no passport. They are scheduled to be sentenced on those charges in March.

Caribbean authorities say missing American couple is feared dead after 3 prisoners hijacked yacht

F ORT PIERCE, Fla. – An American couple who went missing while sailing off the coast of Grenada is feared dead after their catamaran yacht was hijacked by three escaped prisoners, authorities said.

The Royal Grenada Police Force said in a statement released Thursday that they were working on leads "that suggest" that the two occupants of the yacht – named Simplicity – may have been killed. While details on the incident remain unclear, police said preliminary information indicates that the case is likely tied to the escape of the three prisoners.

"It is believed that the occupants of the yacht were American citizens," police said, adding that the investigation was still in "its infancy stage."

The nonprofit Salty Dawg Sailing Association identified the couple as Kathy Brandel and Ralph Hendry in a statement . The association noted that the pair were veteran cruisers and longtime members of the association, calling them "warmhearted and capable."

"This is a very upsetting event and details are still unconfirmed by the authorities, but this does appear to be a tragic event," Bob Osborn, the association’s president, said in the statement. "In all my years of cruising the Caribbean, I have never heard of anything like this."

Hendry and Brandel were last seen on Feb. 18 and are believed to have been killed the following day near the shores of Grand Anse Beach in Grenada, according to a GoFundMe page raising money for their family. The funds raised will help cover funeral costs and recover the couple's vessel and belongings.

Missing couple's yacht found 'anchored and abandoned'

Hendry and Brandel were on their final voyage with the Salty Dawg Sailing Association when their yacht was found, "bearing chilling evidence of a violent struggle," the GoFundMe page states.

The association said it was alerted by a cruising skipper about a member's yacht, Simplicity, that was found "anchored and abandoned" off a beach on the island of St. Vincent. The association added that its live member’s tracking map showed the vessel anchored in Grenada before it moved to its last anchorage off St. Vincent.

"The good Samaritan had boarded the boat and noted that the owners … were not on board and found evidence of apparent violence," the association said. The St. Vincent Coast Guard took possession of Simplicity and local police are investigating with the U.S. Embassy and the Grenada police, according to the association.

On Saturday, family members of the couple met with authorities in St. Vincent, where they were seen boarding the vessel – which was being guarded by officials, one of whom was wearing latex gloves.

Hendry's family issued a statement Saturday thanking police, local coast guards, and those who helped authorities gather information. They also asked that all those trying to conduct independent searches "stand down."

"It means so much to us that so many people cared for Ralph and Kathy as friends and fellow cruisers that they are willing to stop and help in whatever way possible," the family said.

Incident coincided with the escape of prisoners

Authorities in Grenada are investigating what happened to the couple and said they had dispatched senior investigators and a forensic specialist to St. Vincent, where the escaped prisoners were arrested Wednesday.

According to Grenada police, preliminary information suggests that the prisoners hijacked the yacht in St. George’s in Grenada, and traveled to the nearby island of St. Vincent. The three men had escaped from their holding cell on Feb. 18, police said.

The prisoners, ages 19, 25, and 30, were arrested and charged in December with one count of robbery with violence. The eldest inmate also was charged with one count of rape, three counts of attempted rape, and two counts of indecent assault and causing harm, police said.

Couple remembered by family, friends

According to the GoFundMe page, Hendry and Brandel were "seasoned sailors who lived on their beloved catamaran."

The pair spent their retirement sailing, the GoFundMe page states. The couple had sailed their yacht in last year's Caribbean Rally from Hampton, Virginia, to Antigua, and were spending the winter cruising in the eastern Caribbean, the Salty Dawg Sailing Association said.

WPTV-Channel 5 reported that the couple spent their winters docked at a Fort Pierce, Florida, marina, according to Hendry's sister, Suellen Desmaris.

"This was their whole life. They didn't own another home, they didn't own cars, they owned Simplicity," Desmarais told WPTV . "And when you were invited onto Simplicity, you were made to feel as magical as they were and as magical as that boat was."

The couple had previously docked their catamaran at the Safe Harbor Harbortown Marina in Fort Pierce.

"They were the sweetest people," Keith Mallamo said in an email to TCPalm, part of the USA TODAY Network. Mallamo said he was friends with the couple when they docked their vessels at the marina in Fort Pierce.

One Christmas, Brendel baked cookies for everyone on the dock, and Hendry was always available to help his fellow sailors, Mallamo wrote.

Tiara’s New 54-Foot Yacht Has a Deck That Transforms Right in Front of You

Tiara Yachts is a U.S. builder that values adventure as a key piece of its DNA. I’ve done trips on board a number of their boats that were focused on fishing and diving. Those models were built for fun—small and sporty with a wind-in-your-hair vibe.

But at last year’s Miami International Boat Show, Tiara announced its intentions to make the “Yachts” in its name really count for something larger, with the debut of the flagship EX60 —its first proper yacht. The fit and finish—already a point of pride for the Michigan builder—was at another level, while the versatile layout was in line with Tiara’s innovative past.

Boat of the Week: The World's Fastest Yacht Can Transform Into a Floating Dance Club at Night

This New 48-Foot Cruiser Comes With a Lounge That Can Rotate 360 Degrees

Boat of the Week: This Luxe 88-Foot Yacht Has Its Own Enclosed Skybridge

The next model down is the new EX54, which debuted at last month’s Miami show. With a length that is six feet smaller, this boat is just as creative with yacht-y accoutrements, along with attention to detail that cements Tiara’s next-generation ambitions. I had a chance to step aboard to see the similarities with the EX60.

The EX54’s’s cockpit will most likely lure many owners away from similar-sized competitors, thanks to its customizability. It comes in three setups that include a social version with two settees facing one another, an adventure configuration that loses the rear settee to make room for dive tanks and scuba gear, or a “glass-patio” design with modular ottomans.

The boat in Miami had the double settee which, coupled with mezzanine seating a few steps up and forward, gave this boat the feel of a larger motoryacht, in line with the trend of maximizing the exterior space that is currently in vogue in the superyacht world. The mezzanine seating featured a flip-down teak bar to port with a flip-up window with Australian undertones. I found it a bit odd that the bar was not adjacent to the amidships galley for easier service.

The EX54’s cabin featured two Tiara hallmarks: high-level woodwork and a focus on ergonomics. The teak across the main deck was richly grained, with snug joinery. Handholds were common as well, but discreetly embedded in structures like a dining table and a countertop so as not to dim the yacht’s aesthetic appeal.

Tiara clearly designed this boat for a seaway, a point made by the portside companion seating opposite the two-seater helm—which creates four forward-facing seats in the salon. That configuration is where you want to be sitting if the boat is in big water. The Miami model had an optional Seakeeper 9 that mitigates rocking and rolling, both at anchor or when moving at slow speeds in larger swells.

Other nods to onboard comfort can be found down in the full-beam master amidships that is remarkably roomy for a boat this size, a trait that extended to the head where the shower had 6-feet, 8-inches of headroom and enough shoulder space for just about anyone, short of NBA stature, to fit comfortably.

The boat is powered by twin Volvo Penta IPS2 950s that is paired with a glass cockpit by Garmin. The joystick control gives the driver excellent slow-speed maneuverability and high-speed handling as well as low noise. In speed tests, the boat reached a top end of 38.7 mph, with a friendly cruise of 30.6 mph that delivered a 334-mile range.

In the end, what you’re getting is a yacht with Tiara’s trademark DNA for adventure and seaworthiness in a package that is decidedly more luxe. It’s a combination that that should be appealing, both to Tiara owners looking to move up, and to owners of foreign-built vessels that may soon come around to the rising tide of American build quality.

AWS follows Google in announcing unrestricted free data transfers to other cloud providers

Amazon's cloud computing subsidiary AWS has revealed that it will allow customers to transfer their data out of its ecosystem with no so-called "egress fees" attached. The news follows some two months after Google announced similar plans, though in Google's case as the third-biggest player in the public cloud triopoly after AWS and Microsoft, it was heavily incentivized to "lead by example" -- if it's cheaper to leave AWS or Azure entirely, then a company might just be more inclined to jump ship to Google Cloud. While AWS already allows customers to transfer up to 100GB of data per month off its servers for free, this won't cover companies looking to "lift and shift" their entire data stores to another provider -- and that is what is effectively changing for AWS customers as of today.

Bitcoin hits new all-time high passing $69,000 for first time since November 2021

Bitcoin halving, which is usually referred to as “the halvening,” is a periodic decline in bitcoin mining rates, which means the number of bitcoin miners can potentially get for each block mined is cut in half.
