Watch Drake’s New Music Video for “Another Late Night” Featuring Lil Yachty
by Matt Friedlander October 9, 2023, 1:34 pm
Coinciding with this past Friday’s release of his latest studio album, For All the Dogs , Drake has premiered a new music video for one of the record’s 23 tracks, “Another Late Night,” a collaboration with Lil Yachty.
Videos by American Songwriter
The clip, which was directed by award-winning video director Cole Bennett, features scenes of Drake on a surreal late-night ride in a sports car bedazzled with Christmas lights driven by social media personality Pisceus.

Also in the video, Drake and Yachty are seen rapping in a dirt-covered parking lot illuminated by stars that look like Christmas lights and sometimes accompanied by snarling wolves. In another scene, Lil Yachty is getting a new neck tattoo. The video ends with Pisceus driving Drake in their lit-up car over a bridge that’s also covered in Christmas lights.
“Another Late Night” has been getting some online attention for one of its verses in which Drake appears to address criticism of his friendship with teenage Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown , who commented during a 2018 red-carpet interview — when she was 14 — that Drake was “a great friend and a great role model” and revealed that they frequently texted each other.
Drake raps in the track: My bank account is magnolia, Milly rockin’ / Weirdos in my comments talkin’ ‘bout some Millie Bobby / Bring them jokes up to the gang, we get to really flockin’.
For All the Dogs also featured the chart-topping hit “Slime You Out,” featuring SZA, and new single “8AM in Charlotte.” A video for the latter track premiered just in advance of the album’s release, and featured Drake’s five-year-old son, Adonis Graham, talking to his dad a bout a drawing he did, part of which was used as the cover art for the record.
Adonis, who turns 6 on Wednesday, also is heard rapping at the end of the For All the Dogs track “Daylight.” The album also features guest appearances by 21 Savage, J. Cole, PARTYNEXTDOOR, Chief Keef, Bad Bunny, and more.

On Friday (Oct. 6), Drake unveiled his eighth studio LP, For All The Dogs , a 23-song body of work with assists from Teezo Touchdown, 21 Savage, J. Cole, Yeat, SZA, and more. Shortly after the album’s release, the Toronto star dropped a music video for “Another Late Night,” a collaboration with Lil Yachty that saw him addressing his vices, rumored relationships, and more.
“Thinkin’ ’bout this pill I took, pillow talkin’, shawty rinsin’ Dillon Brooks, can’t believe this n**ga talkin’, damn, my bank account is magnolia, milly rockin’, ay, weirdos in my comments talkin’ ’bout some Millie Bobby, look, bring them jokes up to the gang, we get to really flockin’, or send a finger to your mama in some FedEx boxes, open up that s**t, it’s jaw droppin’, really shockin’, ay, I ain’t Pretty Flacko, because, b**ch, this s**t get really rocky, damn, what? Dirty how I did him in the Wraith, what? Say, she actin’ Hollywood, this ain’t LA, no way…”
The accompanying clip for “Another Late Night” comes courtesy of Cole Bennett and Lyrical Lemonade. Drake can be seen riding through the city in a car fitted with colorful lights while Yachty gets a tattoo and shows off his jewelry.
According to Hits Daily Double , For All The Dogs is projected to sell between 400,000 to 450,000 album-equivalent units during its first week of release, which would likely earn the OVO artist his 13th No. 1 on the Billboard 200. Following criticism from the likes of Joe Budden, Drake took to Instagram to blast those who formulated negative opinions about the body of work via podcasts. “I thank God for this life and not having to come to rushed conclusions on Best Buy podcast mics,” he wrote. Drake goes on a trippy late night ghostride in the new video for his For All the Dogs song “Another Late Night.” The Cole Bennett-directed clip that dropped to coincide with the rapper’s latest studio album features Lil Yachty living it up in a forest illuminated by Christmas lights and, for some reason, frequented by a pack of wolves and a luminous owl.

Drake, 36, also appears to hit back at “weirdo” haters who criticized his close friendship with Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown, who he said in 2018 that he texted with frequently when the British actress was just 14 years old; at the time Brown said Drake was a “great role model.”
On “Another Late Night,” Drizzy raps, “My bank account is magnolia, Milly rockin’, ay/ Weirdos in my comments talkin’ about some Millie Bobby, look/ Bring them jokes up to the gang, we get to really flockin’,” in what then appears to be another set of shots at Rocky.

Drake and Lil Yachty Rap With Wolves in New Video for “Another Late Night”: Watch
By Nina Corcoran
Drake has shared a music video for his For All the Dogs song “Another Late Night” with Lil Yachty . Directed by Cole Bennett and filmed over the course of two hours, the visual finds both of the musicians rapping with wolves, dancing in a parking lot, and riding in a Christmas lights-wrapped sports car with a young woman in furry ears. Drake also eagerly holds up a box of McNuggets. Watch it below.
“Another Late Night” is the second song from Drake’s new album to get a music video, following the “ 8am in Charlotte ” clip starring Adonis Graham, his son. (Adonis also drew the album artwork for For All the Dogs .) Ahead of the album’s release, Drake dropped the SZA-featuring “ Slime You Out .” Other guests on For All the Dogs include Bad Bunny, J. Cole, Sexyy Red, Chief Keef, 21 Savage, Teezo Touchdown, Yeat, and PartyNextDoor.
For All the Dogs boasts a few notable samples, too, ranging from Frank Ocean’s “Wiseman” on “Virginia Beach” and Chief Keef’s “I Don’t Like” on “7969 Santa” to the controversial interpolation of Pet Shop Boys’ “West End Girls” on “All the Parties,” which Pet Shop Boys claimed Drake used with “no credit given or permission requested.”
Drake is still in the midst of his It’s All a Blur Tour in support of his joint album with 21 Savage, Her Loss . It was one of two LPs he released in 2022, following Honestly, Nevermind .

Lil Yachty Rages on "Something Ether"
Arriving with another amd visuals-helmed video..
Lil Yachty has dropped off his second cut of 2024. Entitled “Something Ether,” the track, in classic Yachty fashion, is a stark sonic shift from his first cut of 2024, “A Cold Sunday.”
“Something Ether” finds the rapper in his experimental era, spitting hard-hitting bars over distorted 808s. “I like my b****** delusional (Huh) / It’s ’bout who you is, not who you know (Huh) / Let me splurge on you, b****, you beautiful (Huh) / I ain’t never work in no cu— (What?) / I ain’t never work in no cubicle (Grr),” he sputters over the first verse.

Drake , SZA , and Sexyy Red live their best suburban life in the music video for “Rich Baby Daddy.”
Directed by the Toronto-bred rapper , the visual finds the trio going from a celebratory night in their new house to a turned-up maternity ward, welcoming their newborn to the world.
As the St. Louis rapper’s on-screen “Rich Baby Daddy,” Drake is excited, portraying the happy father-to-be while enjoying a fun evening with family- friend SZA. Documenting the unforgettable moments of pregnancy on a handheld camcorder, Sexyy Red goes into labor while Drake captures the moment.
Sexyy Red Says She’s Going To Keep Being Herself
The video continues as the trip proves their acting chops. Sexyy Red gives birth and she and Drake proudly present a “newborn” doll to the “Kill Bill” singer who caresses the play infant with care. The couple’s friends add to the affair with tequila, twerking, balloons, and stuffed animals for the new parents.
In real life, the “Skee Yee” performer was pregnant and recently gave birth. A clip, blurring out her actual child’s face, was presented at the end of the “Rich Baby Daddy” video with a heartfelt message to the mother of two.
“Touring was stressful at first, because nobody knew I was pregnant,” she explained to Billboard . “I’d be in the bedroom trying to suck my stomach in or wear clothes to show I wasn’t. It hurt to just be onstage all day holding your stomach. It’s hard to hide it.”
“Rich Baby Daddy” comes from Drake’s chart-topping album For All The Dogs. Issued in October 2023, the project features Teezo Touchdown, 21 Savage, J. Cole, Yeat, PartyNextDoor, Chief Keef, Bad Bunny, Lil Yachty, and the two women who join him on the track mentioned above.
The album was updated to For All The Dogs Scary Hours Edition the following month, adding six more. tracks and an additional J. Cole verse.

Lil Yachty’s Eye-Popping ‘Something Ether’ Video Goes In An Experimental New Direction
Lil Yachty’s been on quite the tear lately, going way out of his way that he can make any kind of music with any kind of collaborator. From straightforward rap bangers with the likes of J. Cole and Drake to more experimental collaborations with James Blake and Gus Dapperton , Yachty has been on a one-man mission to prove he’s the hero hip-hop needs to pull it out of its “ terrible state .” After showing off his rap chops on the more traditionalist “ A Cold Sunday ,” Yachty smashes together noise rap and dubstep on “Something Ether,” a glitchy, industrial banger sure to turn those traditionalists against him but garner an even wider variety of rage-ready fans.
That all this comes after his alt-rock album, Let’s Start Here , feels a little like evidence that Yachty really is underrated by… well… everyone. Refusing to be boxed into any single category, he effortlessly slips between lanes, genres, and personas, going from spitting cavalier punchlines with Michigan’s rising stars to crooning along to Joy Division-inspired easy rockers played by his all-woman band. At some point, we’re going to have to start mentioning him with the same reverence as those above collaborators; all he needs is one big commercial hit and the narrative will definitely start rolling. “Something Ether” probably won’t be that hit, but stranger things have happened.
Watch Lil Yachty’s “Something Ether” video above.
Lil Yachty Channels Playboi Carti On "Something Ether"
Everything from the visuals to the beat sounds like something from "Whole Lotta Red."
There are not many other artists in hip-hop right now doing it better than Lil Yachty in this time frame. For the past year and change Lil Boat has been a torrent run trying out a bevy of soundscapes within rap and even outside it. He basically hit the reset button at the beginning of 2023 and has not looked back since. This Friday is another busy one for the Georgia native as he is back with yet another single as well as a feature. Lil Yachty can be found on the deluxe version of Kid Cudi 's INSANO (NITRO MEGA) and on his own with "Something Ether."
Something that has been really fun to see unfold for the 26-year-old is the improvement in lyricism. We saw this in spades on tracks like the J. Cole -assisted "The Secret Recipe," and his most recent effort, "A Cold Sunday." The beats were also fitting for those tracks, going lighter on the bass and drums. But with "Something Ether," Yachty is going back to his previous trap-focused era in a way.

Listen To "Something Ether" By Lil Yachty
We say "in a way" because this song sounds like something that Playboi Carti was cooking up during his vamp era . This high-octane track is produced by the ever-so-talented Cardo . It sounds incredibly futuristic and definitely has a little bit of rage inspiration. Even Yachty's "What" adlibs sounds like Carti's. Still though, this outing is still a worthwhile addition to his hot streak of singles. Which makes sense considering ether is a flammable substance. You can check out the strobe-tastic music video above.
What are your thoughts on this brand-new single, "Something Ether," by Lil Yachty? Is this the best single in 2024 so far, why or why not? Do you like Yachty going in the rage music direction? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest news surrounding Lil Yachty. “When I saw he followed me, I was like I’m gonna ask,” she revealed on “Today,” adding that three days later, she was interviewing Drake in a hotel room bed.
Though the interview garnered over 9 million views, it was deleted from her page after fans noticed that she and the five-time Grammy winner unfollowed each other on Instagram.
Her husband filed for divorce
Bobbi’s husband, Cory Althoff, filed for divorce from the influencer in February 2024 after four years of marriage.
The author cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split and is asking for joint legal and physical custody of their two kids, according to court documents obtained by Page Six.
Cory listed the date of separation as July 4, 2023 — the same month Drake was a guest on Bobbi’s podcast.
The following month, she denied speculation that she and the “Hotline Bling” rapper had a romantic fling that led to a falling out.

After news of the divorce surfaced, Bobbi took to Instagram to speak out about the split.
“As most of you have heard, Cory and I have filed for divorce,” she captioned a black-and-white Instagram snap of herself with the “Self-Taught Programmer” author.
“As sad as I am right now, I am so thankful for the time I got to be his wife. Our girls are so lucky to have him as a father & I am so lucky to be able to coparent with such an incredible father and person,” she added.
“While our relationship did not work out as husband and wife, we will always be friends and I will always love him.”
She’s a mom to two children with Cory
The estranged couple share daughters Luca and Isla, whom they welcomed in 2020 and 2022, respectively.
Though Bobbi never shows her girls’ faces on social media, she did feature her youngest daughter on TikTok while documenting her time as a newborn.
“I’m gonna baby wear her so that I can get some laundry done and just get some stuff done around the house,” she said in the clip while Isla was wrapped on her chest.
Bobbi recently deleted all videos of her little ones because she doesn’t want them to have a “digital footprint.”
“I’m so happy I [deleted the videos], especially since I made that decision before [the podcast] because I don’t want them to have the digital footprint that I’ve created,” she said on the “BFFs” podcast in August 2023.
“Now when they go public and they’re not with me, I don’t have to worry so that’s good.”
