This 76-foot luxury catamaran, constructed by renowned yacht builders Matrix Yachts, is a marvel of nautical engineering, customised to withstand the unpredictable weather conditions of the Cape and designed to host corporate events, special occasions, and private functions.

Indulge your mind, body, and soul in the most exhilarating sailing experience aboard the Mirage, offering unrivalled spaciousness, elegance, and five-star service. This spectacular addition to the V&A Waterfront is a true symbol of excellence, providing gourmet dining and ultimate relaxation in a spacious galley and two large stainless outdoor grills prepared to perfection by a private chef.

The Mirage Catamaran is the perfect platform for weddings, private events, and parties, accommodating up to 130 pax, including caterers, DJs, and entertainers. However, the actual number of guests may vary depending on the type of event, as extra staff such as first aiders, lifeguards, bouncers, and crew may be required. You can rely on a total number of 115 pax of your guests to have an unforgettable sailing experience aboard the Mirage Catamaran.

Upon your arrival, our fully trained crew and stewardesses will be there to welcome you, and to enhance your experience, we'll be presenting you with a welcoming MCC/Prosecco or sparkling juice. In addition to this, the Mirage offers the following amenities:

The Mirage features a fully stocked bar on board where guests can pay either in cash or by deposit prior to the charter. For those summer cocktails, we can even hire a slushy machine! Please refer to the attached list for the available drinks.

We kindly ask that guests refrain from bringing their own drinks on board under any circumstance. However, if there is a specific drink not on the list, the boat will arrange it for you.

Please note that sponsors of beers or wines will incur a corkage fee of R5,000 (maximum of 20 bottles of wine and 120 beers allowed).

We highly recommend canapé style catering, and we would be delighted to assist you in finding the perfect chef or catering company that can cater to your specific requirements. Please refer to the attached sample menu for your convenience.

Please note that guests are strictly prohibited from bringing their own catering under any circumstance.

Service fee:

A 15% service charge is charged on the food and drinks which is dispersed to the crew.

For all charters of 60+ guests, a mandatory service of security is required.

DJ / Entertainer:

The Mirage is equipped with an onboard sound system that has USB and Bluetooth connections, making it easy for you to play your own music.

In the event that you wish to provide your own DJ, they can use the onboard equipment (CDJs 2000 & speakers), and the fee for the first 6 hours is approximately R9,500, with an additional charge of R2,000 per hour thereafter.

If you prefer to have a DJ provided by us, the rate starts at approximately R9,500 for the first 6 hours (varying depending on the event), with an additional charge of R2,000 per hour thereafter. DJ hire for up to a 4-hour charter is charged at R3,250. Additional rates may apply for extended periods, and we will be happy to provide you with a quote.

Water toys:

We are pleased to offer the use of our floating pool, water slide, and SUP boards for charters lasting 4 hours or longer.

Lifesavers:

If you have a larger group that will be participating in water sports, we can arrange to have lifeguards on board for added safety.

Relax and spread out on the Mirage's spacious double deck configuration. The bridge deck level boasts a vast saloon area, while the upper deck features an expansive flybridge with VIP seating for 61 passengers, unobstructed views of Cape Town's stunning vistas, and a second bar for ultimate convenience and service. With seating for up to 52 guests, the large contemporary bar and huge open area on the deck are perfect for dancing, entertainment, and socializing.

Inside, enjoy complete comfort with three luxuriously fitted bathrooms accessible via stairs leading into the hulls from the saloon. Indulge in gourmet cuisine prepared on board in the fully equipped commercial-grade kitchen or on the two large stainless steel outdoor grills on the aft deck.

Bask in the warm African sun on the catamaran's front netting and trampoline area or relax on tailor-made decking, perfectly designed to host weddings, live entertainment, and special occasions. Semi-enclosed saloon and flybridge awnings provide protection from the varied weather conditions, allowing you to enjoy a premier sailing experience regardless of the weather.

For a relaxing experience, enjoy the fresh morning air to start off your day and watch the Mother City come to life from offshore. Cruise Description

90min Catamaran Champagne Sunset Cruise from the V&A Waterfront Cape Town aboard A Beautiful Life. Spectacular sunset views of Table Mountain and the city from the ocean. The standard route will cruise slowly along the Atlantic seaboard towards Clifton beach and then return back to the V&A Waterfront.

Adult ticket holders will be served complimentary sparkling wine. The bar will be open selling alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for the duration of the cruise. We offer a selection of local beers/drinks and soft drinks at reasonable charges. Click here to view our drinks menu

What to wear

Remember to bring something warm for Cape Town is known to get windy and cold when the sun sets.

Please note the following

• Should we receive a request to make the cruise a private charter or experience over bookings due to unforeseen circumstances, we reserve the right to transfer passengers to our other new vessel Une Belle Vie
• In the event of high wind or rough seas, the skipper may alter the course of the vessel for the safety of the clients and staff aboard the vessel, adjusting the course to calm waters where you can comfortably enjoy the sunset.
• To avoid disappointment, please ensure that you check-in at the office 20min before departure time.
• The captain of the boat is not allowed to delay departure for anyone.
• If you miss the departure time your ticket will, unfortunately, be void.
• We do not offer any refunds
• Bookings cannot be cancelled.
• All children need to be accompanied by an adult
• Our boats have different wind and swell restrictions. The weather on the day may require that the skipper alter the course for safety and comfort.

Experience the luxurious 45ft (13.72m) IQ Catamaran, built by Voyage Yachts in 2010, offering stylish and safe high-performance sailing. Lounge on the open teak deck, with comfortable seating, roof covering, and side screens for relaxation and stunning views. Enjoy sunbathing on the spacious trampoline areas. Perfect for special occasions, corporate events, or day sail excursions, it features a spacious salon, fully equipped galley, and comfortable cabins. Docked at V&A Waterfront, accommodating up to 33 guests, it offers an unforgettable sailing experience with its luxury design, state-of-the-art facilities, and top-notch service. You will find IQ Catamaran nestled in the iconic V&A Waterfront, berthed right outside the Victoria and Alfred Hotel on the North Wharf adjacent to the adjacent La Parada Restaurant.

Cash / Card Bar, Gas Braai facility, 2 x Heads (toilets), 1 x Galley (kitchen), Trampoline area & Roof Covering, onboard sound system, Padded Seating, teak decking, Blankets, free WIFI, 2 x Swim ladders & water-toys (for use during private charters) and 2 x Double cabins (NB!! The use of cabins are only for overnight stay and not for daytime charters).

Tour Description

Departing from the iconic V&A Waterfront Cape Town, cruise along the Atlantic Seaboard with picturesque views of the Table Mountain & Twelve Apostles Mountain range, anchor at the famous Clifton 4th beach. Upon reaching Clifton we drop anchor and guests can relax and enjoy snacks and refreshments before cruising back.

Maximum 33 passengers

Cruise from the Cape Town V&A Waterfront. Popular choices include cruising along the Atlantic seaboard taking in the exceptional views of Cape Town and Table Mountain, cruising passed Granger Bay on our port side and Robben Island on our starboard side. Table Bay and surrounding areas and routing is weather dependent.

Cruise time and cruise course are dependent on weather conditions and at the discretion of the captain. You and your guests’ safety will always be our primary priority.

What To Wear

Sunglasses, hats, a jersey or windbreaker as well as non-deck marking shoes (e.g. trainers/deck shoes), no black soles or high heels. You will be required to remove your shoes or shoe covers will be provided. Bring a bathing suit and towel for those keen on taking a dip.

• Onboard bar

There is an onboad cash or card bar available (List available).  If you wanted to provide your own drinks a corkage fee of R2,000 will be charged. You can provide your own wine & sparkling wine for R100 per bottle. Please ensure these drinks are kept in your own containers and chilled with your own ice (no ciders, spirits, soft drinks, beers are allowed as it can be bought at our Bar on board).

Various menu options are available and must be arranged within 2 weeks prior to the charter. Gas BBQ / Braai facilities available @ R500 usage fee. If you wanted a designated Braaimaster the fee is R500 or you can braai yourself (Note: the crew cannot braai). Otherwise you are more than welcome to bring your own food and snacks. Cutlery, crockery & plates are not included so please bring your own.

DJ or Entertainer

We have numerous DJs on our supplier list (list attached) and are happy to facilitate that for you. Cape Town based Singer/Entertainer details available on request. Should you wish to supply your own they will need to bring their own equipment and speakers. Use of the generator @ R500. There is also an onboard sound system with Bluetooth, AUX or USB connection if you wish to bring your own music.

COVID-19 Aware

The vessel will have strict COVID-19 Protocols in place and require all clients to please follow all regulations when entering the premises in order to reduce transmission. Here are a few simple steps to follow: 1) Please wear masks when entering the premises. 2) Sanitising of hands and temperature checks will be conducted before entering. 3) Client details are required for Track & Trace purposes. 4) Be aware of social distancing.

COVID19 Regulations:

Please note that changes from the South African Government or SAMSA could change the total pax allowed onboard.

Should regulations change due to government announcements. We will reschedule of your charter to a future date suitable for you. NO REFUNDS will be provided, only rescheduling.
