E' ormeggiato davanti al porto di Bari lo yacht Al Lusail della famiglia reale del Qatar. L'imbarcazione, lunga 123 metri e con un valore stimato intorno ai 500 milioni di euro, è a disposizione della famiglia reale qatariota e dello sceicco Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

La nave prende il nome di una città del Qatar a 15 km dalla capitale Doha. Costruito nel cantiere tedesco Lürssen, l'Al Lusail, yacht dal design unico nel suo genere, è stato varato nel febbraio del 2017 e a bordo può ospitare fino a 36 persone. Una "gradita visita" per la città di Bari, secondo quanto commenta sui social il presidente dell'Autorità di sistema portuale del Mare Adriatico Meridionale, Ugo Patroni Griffi, a conferma dell'appeal turistico sempre più internazionale della Puglia.

Lo yacht Al Lusail, che ospita la famiglia reale e lo sceicco Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, da questa mattina è ormeggiato davanti al porto di Bari. Lungo 123 metri e con un valore stimato intorno ai 500 milioni di euro, prende il nome dalla città in costruzione a 15 km da Doha, capitale del Qatar, ed è di proprietà dello sceicco che nel 1996 ha fondato Al Jaazera, oggi diventata l’emittente televisiva di punta dell’informazione in lingua araba. Nella speciale classifica di Forbes del 2008 il patrimonio di Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani fu valutato 2 miliardi di dollari. “Il suo è tra gli yacht più quotati al mondo - sottolinea Patroni Griffi - Costruito nel cantiere tedesco Lürssen, è stato varato nel febbraio del 2017 e a bordo ospita 36 persone. Sullo specchio d’acqua del lungomare Nazario Sauro di Bari spicca il lussuosissimo megayacht da 500 milioni di euro “Al Lusail” , battente bandiera del Qatar e di proprietà dello sceicco Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani , fondatore dell’emittente televisiva araba Al Jazeera. Il nome è ispirato all’omonima città in costruzione a circa 15 chilometri da Doha.

Chi passeggia, fa jogging o semplicemente si ritrova a passare anche solo di sfuggita dinanzi allo skyline barese non può non restare accecato da quest’imbarcazione, lunga ben 123 metri e larga 16 , munita di ascensore, palestra, piscina, cinema, un salone di bellezza e addirittura una pista per l’atterraggio degli elicotteri. A bordo dello yacht vi è un equipaggio di oltre 50 membri e posti per un massimo di 100 passeggeri .

Ma questa “umile” imbarcazione, appartenente alla famiglia reale dell’emirato, ha già solcato il mare della nostra porta d’Oriente il 14 agosto 2018. In quell’occasione la visita dello sceicco – anche fondatore della Qatar Sports Investments, società proprietaria del Paris Saint-Germain – fu accompagnata da una parata di auto da capogiro con i vetri oscurati che lo scortarono fino alla Basilica di San Nicola.
