KANDO 110 // AvA Yachts

Turkish shipyard ava yachts launched kando 110.

The Kando 110 is the first vessel of the Kando-series, available from 28m to 40m. The yacht is a construction with a steel hull and an aluminum superstructure. With her two Volvo Penta engines (2 x 650 HP) she reaches a top speed of 14 knots and a cruising speed of 10 knots. Exterior design, interior styling, and naval architecture made in-house. The 33m explorer yacht has a volume of 320 GT, and the 48,000-liter fuel capacity allows a range of 6,400 nautical miles .

The Kando 110 is for sale with a price of € 8,499,000 . Viewings are possible at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2019.

KANDO a 27 square meter owners cabin with full-height windows on the main deck, five double guest cabins on the lower deck forward and two double crew cabins aft. A salon with dining area is on the main while a second salon with bar is on the upper deck. Behind the wheelhouse is the captain’s cabin.

The sundeck has a second helm station, jacuzzi, seating, and a wet bar.

AvA Yacht’s 110 explorer yacht, Kando, was featured at the 2019 Cannes Yachting Festival. Her hull is constructed in high grade steel with an aluminum superstructure. The 110 Kando features 5 staterooms, with a massive volume of 320 gross tons and a 6,000 nautical mile range.

Her Volvo-Penta Commercial Marine engines power her to a max speed of 14-knots, with a comfortable cruising speed of 12 knots.

First look: Inside Ava Yachts' Kando 110 Lady Caroline

The interiors of the 33.6-metre Lady Caroline have been revealed for the first time following her delivery at the end of 2022. The yacht is the first unit in AvA Yachts ' Kando 110 series, but she was being used as a demonstration model by the Antalya-based yard until she was sold in June 2022 to a buyer represented by Gilman Yachts .

The second hull in the series is Infinity Nine , which was delivered to NBA star Tony Parker in November of last year.

The Kando 110 series has been envisioned as a "compact explorer" line, built in steel and aluminium with a volume of 320GT and a range of 6,400 nautical miles.

Both hulls one and two have a similar layout, but Lady Caroline has five-cabin configuration whereas Infinity Nine has six cabins, sacrificing a sky lounge. Design comes courtesy of AvA Yachts' in-house design team which has put particular effort into creating light-filled, airy spaces on board.

Both the main and upper deck saloons span 48 square metres, and the upper deck lounge is full-beam, with full-height windows that offer a sweeping view outside. Automatic sliding doors framed by stainless steel allow easy access to the exterior. 

Four of the guest cabins can be found on the lower deck, while the owner's cabin is located on the main deck forward. Stretching across the yacht's full 7.8-metre beam, it occupies 27 square metres of space and has similar high windows as the upper deck. 

In terms of al fresco spaces, Lady Caroline is home to a generous sundeck with an aft-facing Jacuzzi bordered by sunpads. There is a shaded bar and a casual dining space, along with further seating and a helm station further aft.

Elsewhere, there is dining on the main deck aft and a good-sized swim platform that allows easy water access.

On the interior, AvA Yachts' designers have used a mix of high-gloss American walnut in combination with wenge wood and dark leather furniture. A satin-finish wenge has been used for the flooring, mixed with off-white upholstery to create layers of pale shades. 

AvA Yachts describes the effect as "harmonious" with a "soft-contrast ambience, free from excessive decor elements and meticulously planned according to effect and functionality".

There are two double crew cabins plus a captain's cabin which is attached to the wheelhouse.

In terms of performance, Lady Caroline can reach a top speed of 14 knots, trimmed back to a cruising speed of 10 knots, powered by twin Volvo engines.

Piping System & Pumps

Fresh Water System:

Hydraulic System:

The BUILDER, for a period of 12 months following acceptance of the YACHT by the BUYER, undertakes to repair and rectify at its own cost and expense and free of charge to the BUYER, any defects - including latent defects or deficiencies - concerning the YACHT or parts thereof, which are caused by defective material and/or poor workmanship on the part of the BUILDER, its servants, employees or Subcontractors, but excluding defects arising after delivery due to normal wear and tear or improper handling of the YACHT or caused or aggravated by omission or improper use or maintenance of the YACHT on the part of the BUYER, its servants or agents and excluding BUYER’s Supplies.

The repairs, replacements and/or rectifications shall be made at the BUILDER's yard. However, the BUYER may, after having notified the BUILDER in writing, cause the necessary repairs, replacements and/or rectifications to be carried out elsewhere provided that the BUILDER declares its consent to do so. In such case, the BUILDER shall, at its own cost, be entitled to forward necessary replacement parts or materials and a team to rectify the defects. The BUILDER's liability shall in such case be limited to pay the cost of repairs, including travelling, and forwarding expenses, to the price of the work which the BUILDER would normally charge at its yard. In any case, the BUILDER shall co-operate with the BUYER to find proper solutions to rectify the deficiency.

• Filling, supplying cold water and circulating hot water connected to the freshwater storage tank, water maker and water heater, equipped with LIVERANI or equivalent electric driven, freshwater pressure pumps and hot water circulation pumps, SS or Bronze ball valves. Hot water circulation pipelines are to be heat insulated. Capacity of the pumps as per calculations.

Sanitary Drain & Discharge System:

• Drainage of wastewater to the storage tanks and discharge the wastewater tank to shore connection on the aft deck and wastewater treatment unit, equipped with electric driven, macerator pumps, SS or Bronze ball valves

Bilge Suction & Discharge System:

• Suction and discharge of bilge water from each of watertight compartment separately equipped with two electric driven self-priming, centrifugal, bronze pumps, SS or Bronze ball valves
• 5x local bilge pumps are to be equipped with separate discharge pipelines together with high level alarms
• Water level gauges are to be provided with audible and visible alarm on main helm bridge

Water Fire Extinguishing System & Nozzles;

• Supplying sea water from sea chests to deck fire nozzles to the fire chests equipped with electric driven, centrifugal, Bronze, emergency pump, SS or Bronze ball valves

Fuel Filling & Supply & Transfer System:

• Filling fuel tanks and supplying fuel to the consumers and return lines to the tanks, transferring the fuel between storage tanks or outside shore connection by means of electricity driven fuel transfer pump and air ventilation of the fuel storage tanks
• Double Racor or equivalent filters for each fuel consumer on fuel supply lines

Sea Water Cooling System:

• A Central CuNiFe pipe system connected to two bottom sea chests in engine room with SS or Bronze butterfly valves and sea water strainers
• Engines, Generators and other consumers are to be cooled with sea water supply via branch lines connected to central sea water cooling pipe. Consumer’s connection are to be made with Neoprene flexible hoses.

Hydraulic System:

• Central hydraulic system is to consist of center power unit with electricity driven pump and PTO pumps on the main propulsion engines, seamless steel pipelines to operate bow thruster, anchor winches, capstans. Equipment is to be connected to the system with high pressure flexible hoses.

Main Engines & Generators Exhaust System:

• Water cooled, Heat Insulated Main Engines exhaust pipes made of mild steel muffler exhaust system for Gensets

Air Conditioning System:

• Chilled water circulation to fan coils and water drain from fan coils to the tanks with polypropylene pipe lines. Chilled water circulation pipelines are to be heat insulated.

The BUILDER, for a period of 12 months following acceptance of the YACHT by the BUYER, undertakes to repair and rectify at its own cost and expense and free of charge to the BUYER, any defects - including latent defects or deficiencies - concerning the YACHT or parts thereof, which are caused by defective material and/or poor workmanship on the part of the BUILDER, its servants, employees or Subcontractors, but excluding defects arising after delivery due to normal wear and tear or improper handling of the YACHT or caused or aggravated by omission or improper use or maintenance of the YACHT on the part of the BUYER, its servants or agents and excluding BUYER’s Supplies.

The repairs, replacements and/or rectifications shall be made at the BUILDER's yard. However, the BUYER may, after having notified the BUILDER in writing, cause the necessary repairs, replacements and/or rectifications to be carried out elsewhere provided that the BUILDER declares its consent to do so. In such case, the BUILDER shall, at its own cost, be entitled to forward necessary replacement parts or materials and a team to rectify the defects. The BUILDER's liability shall in such case be limited to pay the cost of repairs, including travelling, and forwarding expenses, to the price of the work which the BUILDER would normally charge at its yard. In any case, the BUILDER shall co-operate with the BUYER to find proper solutions to rectify the deficiency.
