We already know the Wally WHY200 is spacious—the 89-foot yacht has an interior the size of a larger 165-foot superyacht—but now we can confirm it is stylish, too.

Wally WHY200

As mentioned, the WHY200 offers the comfort and space of a larger vessel. A wide beam of 25 feet and a high profile ensure a generous interior volume of 200 GT. The main salon is the same width as that of a 160-footer, for instance. The unit in Singapore is the first to feature the “main deck entertainment” layout, which was designed specifically for the Asia Pacific (APAC) market. Her tall 15-foot glazed bow houses a spectacular living area with a large round table, a bar, a wine cellar, and sweeping panoramic views.

A one-piece laminated carbon staircase connects the main deck to the lower and upper decks. On the upper deck, Wally’s signature glass and carbon fiber dome is fitted with a plush lounge for relaxation. The extended, structural top has no supporting pillars to ensure the vistas are uninterrupted. The lower deck on this particular WHY200 is dedicated to guests, with a luxe owner’s cabin at the bow and two swanky guest cabins.

The exterior decks are replete with Loro Piana’s chic custom furniture and technical outdoor fabrics, which are resistant to salt, sunlight, and wind. The beach club, for example, features the Delight chairs Loro Piana designed with Exteta. The beach club is also fitted with fold-out terraces and two “invisible” garages for tenders and toys.

The first WHY200 and a wallypower58 will be on display Singapore Yachting Festival from April 25 to 28. Concurrently, another wallypower58 hull will be on show at the Palma International Boat Show in Spain from April 25 to 28.

Wally WHY200 yacht tour: Inside the most extraordinary superyacht of the year

  • Superyachts
  • Top stories
  • yacht tours

MBY editor, Hugo Andreae, takes a tour of the absolutely stunning Wally WHY200, which features possibly the finest owner's cabin we've seen.

Since his company’s acquisition by Ferretti in January 2019 , Luca Bassani can now dip into the substantial coffers of the Weichai Group.

When Sr Bassani starts writing cheques, the results are usually worth a look. The Wally WHY200, designed by a triumvirate involving Wally , Ferretti and Laurent Giles, luxuriates in a substantial beam, a four-engine power plant and a total wide-body design.

There are no side decks at all on the main deck, and the short walkway aft from the foredeck looks like it was only grudgingly accommodated by the designers, so the crew can reach the midships cleats. It’s certainly unlike anything else.

They call it a ‘spaceship’ for obvious reasons – its name reflects the 200 Gross Tons of its interior spaces, and yet at under 24-metres load line length it can legally be owner-operated.

A four-engine installation allows for a short engineroom and frees up a lot of volume on the lower deck, so the Wally WHY200 not only has three substantial double guest ensuite occupying the forward half of the hull, but also superyacht -style crew quarters amidships, with three cabins, two heads and a crew mess.

It’s the main deck, though, that will get the headlines. The tremendous-looking owner’s cabin sits up front, surrounded by glass, while the enormous saloon, at 61 square metres, spans the full beam of the hull, with the galley on the port side, separate seating and dining areas, and a central staircase.

The spectacular sun lounge on the upper deck, behind the wheelhouse, leads out onto a well furnished and spacious aft terrace. Down at the waterline, the topsides unfold aft to create a 32-square-metre beach club.

Fast planing hulls had always been a feature of Wally’s power yachts – until we designed the wallyace line. Drawing on the naval architecture expertise of the celebrated Laurent Giles, the wallyace500 is our first yacht to have a steel hull and aluminium superstructure for operations at displacement speeds. Maxing out at 16 knots, the yacht has an ocean-straddling range of 5,000nm at 12 knots. In other respects, the yacht is immediately identifiable as a Wally. It embodies the brand’s famous inside-outside lifestyle to perfection, with the sleek, minimal lines that are typical of all our boats. Glass features heavily in the exterior design, from bulwarks to the full-height windows which seem to support the upper and sun decks. Overhangs taper far back over the deck below. But this is no mere exercise in aesthetics. The open plan design of the interior guest spaces and owner’s cabin combines with the glass to bring natural light flooding in. Doors and windows open to connect interior and exterior. And the overhangs offer welcome shade for the 308sqm of open air living space, which serve for al fresco work-outs or simple lounging. A 75sqm beach club lies just 80cm above the water, so you can lie pieds-dans-l’eau. Or if that’s too sedentary, launch an e-foil, sailing dinghy or jetski – there’s plenty of carrying capacity aboard. The dedicated garage amidships is designed for a 7.0m tender.

wallywhy150 Reviewed

  • By Phil Draper
  • April 12, 2024

wallywhy150

Wally has always been a disrupter in the yacht world. For more than 30 years, its team has taken what came before, stripped away everything but function, and rethought just about every other aspect. The results have included the original wallytender, the unique wallypower 118, and, more recently, various wallytenders and wallypowers . The trend continues with the 78-foot-8-inch wallywhy150, whose model name refers to volume.

The wallywhy150 is a two-and-a-half-deck design with around 150 gross tons—a spec we don’t often see with yachts this length, but, again, Wally likes to do things differently. The “why” bit of wallywhy is an acronym for Wally Hybrid Yachts, which has nothing to do with hybrid propulsion, but rather references hulls that are optimized for a range of displacement and semidisplacement cruising speeds.

Exterior styling is futuristic, defined by a typically Wally-shaped raised pilothouse and a high, blunt, and slightly reverse-raked bow. The bow design helps punch through seas at semidisplacement speeds and provides plenty of room for a main-deck owners’ stateroom.

Outdoor living is also key to Wally. There are two principal zones on the 150: the cockpit and the upper deck aft. The latter serves as a sun deck with partial protection from a mostly carbon-fiber hardtop that extends aft from that mostly glass raised pilothouse. It’s a vast space, whether used for family fun or as a party venue. The furniture options include free-standing, for maximum flexibility. The wallywhy150 that I got aboard had a dining table forward, a C-booth sofa and a pedestal table amidships, and scattered cushions for lounging aft. A gate to starboard accesses the foredeck, which serves as a technical area for crew.

wallywhy150

The cockpit, occupying two levels, is the heart of this design. The forward half is at the same level as the after end of the main salon, which is lower than aboard more-conventional yacht designs. The rest of the cockpit is down a step. It has an island sofa amidships with a flippable backrest, so guests can laze facing forward or aft. There is no garage, but the hydraulic stern platform—which is normally flush to the cockpit—will accommodate an 11-foot-6-inch tender, chocked transversely.

Interior design is by Andrea Vallicelli, and the decor of Hull No. 1 is pure Wally: light, satin-varnished veneers with light-dark contrasts. The overall vibe is modern and tending toward minimalism, but with no hint of starkness.

The salon is also a split-level affair. The after end is a dining area with two runs of hullside windows from the main and lower decks, and high ceilings with a double curvature. A day head is in the after port corner. The raised forward half of the salon is all lounges, save for some built-in cabinetry. Free-standing furniture choices, once again, allow owners to personalize the space.

The owners’ stateroom has an access corridor that runs forward along the starboard side from a lobby. The corridor is surprisingly long, enhancing the stateroom’s sense of exclusivity, and it is flanked by picture windows and walk-in closets. The en suite head has twin sinks, a head and bidet, and a shower stall. The sleeping area has a forward-facing king berth and 270 degrees of glazing, including panes that wrap around the stem. Save for a pair of structural mullions, they provide clear views ahead for a “wow” factor.

wallywhy150

Wally says that some owners might prefer to use this glorious space for something other than a stateroom, such as an entertainment area with a bar and a dining table. That would leave the entire salon as a two-tier lounge.

Guest accommodations on the lower deck are accessed via a central amidships lobby. There are three staterooms, all en suite. The VIP has an inboard-facing king berth. One guest stateroom has an inboard-facing queen berth, and the other has forward-facing twin berths.

Crew quarters are below the owners’ stateroom, with access from the main-deck galley. These quarters include two en suite cabins with a total of four bunks, although most owners will run with a captain and just two crew.

Standard power is triple 900 hp Volvo Penta D13s and IPS1200 pod drives, which should deliver a top-end speed of around 21 knots. This wallywhy150 had the bigger alternatives: triple 1,000 hp D13s with IPS1350s. Hull No. 1 managed over-the-ground speeds of 22.9 knots one way and 22.6 knots on a reciprocal heading with the Humphree dynamic trim system and Seakeeper gyrostabilizer running. Wally quotes a 23-knot speed at half-load.

wallywhy150

The ultimate range at 10 knots should be around 1,000 nautical miles, about the same with each engine package. At around 15 knots, this yacht would run for 350 nm, including a 10 percent reserve. Tank capacity is 2,378 gallons.

The wallywhy150 drives nicely, almost sprightly. Visibility is good, although chunky mullions in the raised pilothouse present a few blind spots. The two high-backed carbon-fiber helm seats look like something you would expect to see on a spaceship.

Off Cannes, France, in glorious weather with virtually no swell, this yacht was marvelously quiet. At the helm, I noted about 53 decibels flat-out and just 50 decibels at 10 knots and 1,000 rpm.

While the inside of this yacht may be whisper quiet, the wallywhy150’s forward-thinking design, solid ride, and chic interior speak loudly and proudly to the company’s motto of being 20 years ahead. It’s just what Wally does, again and again.

wallywhy150

The first wallywhy150 was shown at Salone Nautico Venezia 2023 this past May and June in Italy. As this issue went to press, Hull No. 2 had launched, and Hull No. 3 was nearing completion, bound for the US.

Where It’s Made

Wallywhys are built at the Ferretti Group’s Mondolfo plant, which was originally home to Pershing. It’s 20 miles northwest of Ancona on Italy’s east coast. A new 750,000-square-foot plant in Ravenna will soon become Wally’s home and a principal production facility.

It’s Easy Being Green

The first wallywhy150 has a striking metallic-green hull. Stefano de Vivo, the Ferretti Group’s chief commercial officer and Wally CEO, described it as “power gray.” (Like mice and bananas, green is an unlucky word for superstitious mariners.) Various Wallys have been green, including the one that inspired the company’s name, Luca Bassani’s 105-foot ketch Wallygator. It launched in 1994 and was primarily dark green. The wallypower was originally metallic gray-green.

Pursuit of Perfection

Chief designer and Wally founder Luca Bassani brings passion to the boatbuilding process. While walking through the wallywhy150 with him, I mentioned that the small, aft-facing bench sofa below the big window in the stem of the owners’ stateroom was perhaps a little underwhelming. Bassani paused and then said: “You’re right, Phil. It needs to be the other way around. Or maybe…”

Later that morning, Bassani was sitting at the table on the upper deck, chatting on his cell. He cupped a hand over the phone and said, “By the way, I have already got the Vallicelli guys coming over later today to talk about what we can do better down there.”

New Wally 145 unveiled – a lightweight hybrid global super cruiser designed by Frers

  • Toby Hodges
  • May 11, 2017

The newly commissioned Wally 145 looks to be the fast super cruiser that has it all, including an innovative triple cockpit layout and a hybrid propulsion system

Wally 145

Wally has started to build its third largest yacht yet, a Wally 145 / 44m carbon fibre fast cruiser that will have a hybrid propulsion system. Designed for an experienced yachtsman, the Wally 145 marks the 24th collaboration between Wally and German Frers and features plenty of new design ideas, especially around the deck layout that includes a novel third cockpit.

Despite the luxurious comfort she offers for world cruising, she is being built light to be able to race and give maximum enjoyment on the helm.

Wally 145

On paper then the Wally 145 is a project that appears to have it all – looks, speed, Wally’s renowned push-button handling, voluptuous accommodation inside and out and the ability to run silently – but sailing enjoyment always comes first for Wally.

Frers said the owner “really enjoys driving a sensitive, well balanced, pleasant and fast sailing yacht, while cruising with his family but also, and most important, while racing around the cans.”

The Wally 145 will have a hybrid propulsion system that will allow it to run in silent mode with extended emission-free periods. The two 60kW electric engines, with retractable shafts from Shipmotion, will be powered by two 100kW battery packs. These are charged using two 120kW variable speed generators.

The system will be able to provide a full night’s autonomy with the air conditioning and all the auxiliary services running. It promises to be an efficient system, the drives capable of providing a cruising speed under power of 15 knots.

Wally 145

A look at the renders shows an innovative deck layout that provides three separate cockpit areas. It’s a development of the Wally outside-inside living concept first introduced in 1998 with Tiketitan . On the Wally 145 a covered cockpit adjoins the internal saloon via a glass door bulkhead to provide copious single-level living space.

Wally 145

Abaft the twin helms is a large sunbed section, which doubles as a roof for true privacy to the cockpit adjoining the aft stateroom.

Wally 145

“An absolute world first of our 44-meter is the third cockpit incorporated aft in the lower deck, at the master suite’s level” explains Luca Bassani “ This new cockpit is reserved to the owners, who can enjoy the outside in complete privacy.”

Despite the high amount of deck comfort and interior volume, the target light displacement of the Wally 145 is only 171 tonnes. It is being built in prepreg composite at a new shiyard set up by Persico Marine in Massa Carrara, Italy. Persico, the builders of the current Volvo fleet, will also launch the latest Wally Cento (number four) this July .

“Her sail area/displacement ratio is much higher than that of any other mega yacht of this category, resulting fast even in just six knots of wind,” says Wally founder Luca Bassani. “At the same time, in strong winds she is very stable and powerful thanks to the hull shape and to the lifting keel lowering the bulb down to over seven metres.”

This Wally 145 is also a highly unusual project in that, unlike virtually any other custom yacht we know of, it actually reduced in size during the design discussions. “The initial brief was for a larger yacht and contrary to the norm, the new design decreased in size and got simpler during the design process, in search of agility, speed and a closer vicinity to the sea and the elements,” said German Frers.

“Extensive research was conducted in order to get the best performance while striving to produce the lightest weight within its specifications, a pleasant and ample interior, three different and separate deck areas and a very sophisticated sail handling system”.

The interior accommodation for eight guests and eight crew was developed by Wally with Droulers Architects and Studio Mario Sculli. The aft owners’ stateroom includes two queen size beds, his and hers en-suites (including a bath tub), an office, walk-in wardrobes and direct access to that private cockpit.

The Wally 145 will be the third largest Wally ever, following the 50.5m Better Place in 2012 and the 45.19m Saudade in 2008. Launch is scheduled for May 2019.

BETTER PLACE // Wally Yachts

The 50m better place by wally from 2012 is a very modern flybridge sailing yacht in stunning bugatti blue..

BETTER PLACE  is one the largest sloop-rigged sailing yachts in carbon fiber and RINA Green Star certification. The boat offers 300 sqm of inside space and 500 sqm outside area. Furthermore, she has a hybrid propulsion system to reduce fuel consumption, noise, and vibrations.

Wetzels Brown Partners and the Wally in-house team created the exterior design. Wetzels Brown Partners is also responsible for the interior design.

Better Place Yacht Wally Yachts

Luca Bassani, Wally’s founder and President and Head of the R&D commented:

“With Better Place, once again Wally opens a new route in yacht design and innovation. We succeeded in delivering an environmentally friendly and breakthrough Wally 50m with aggressive and sleek lines of a true performance sailing yacht, rather than the motor sailer look typical of this class of yachts.”

Interior of Sailing Yacht BETTER PLACE

The Wetzels Brown Partners design sleeps 10 guests and a crew of 10 in light and bright interior.

The owners’ suite has a large size of 62 square meters with a lot of natural light, thanks to windows on the sides. Furthermore, the owner has direct access to the vast 30 square meter Terrace-on-the-sea – a typical Wally feature.

The deckhouse offers 86 square meters of open space with dining and lounge areas, surrounded by full-height windows giving an airy feeling. It is like a protected cockpit or like a pavilion. In the forward area of the deckhouse is the wheelhouse.

Better Place Yacht Wally Yachts Interior

The forward social cockpit, directly accessible from the interior dining and lounge areas, features table seats and sun beds for up to 20-people. Beyond this, the forward deck features a Jacuzzi, finished in black, which is positioned beneath deck level and is, therefore, invisible when not in use, a hidden winch “cockpit” for the halyards, two large tender garages, stay-sail locker, sail lockers, and the Wally submarine anchor locker.

Better Place ‘s 100-sqm sundeck is accessed both by an outside staircase and by an inside open staircase, leading to steering and navigation, lounge, dining, sunbathing and barbeque areas, A particularly innovative service feature is the open food lift connecting galley, interior dining area and sundeck– a ‘suitcase’ suspended in free space, connected by a single vertical track, to lift . The sundeck dining can be converted into a huge sunbed with the addition of an inflatable mattress, providing further comfort without stretching available storage capacity.

A hull-side door is located amidships to starboard: when open, it converts into a swimming and tender boarding platform. The picture below is also good to compare the size. Another picture to compare is the one the crew member in the boom.

Man in the Boom Better Place

“Man in the Boom” – a lot of shares on social medias but often without context or what yacht it is. These photos show the size of the yacht.

Maximising space and minimising storage requirements, a newly designed seating module has been developed for the deck in carbon and mesh with low-profile cushions, for easy stowage, by the interior designers Wetzels Brown Partners, who designed all the deck furnishing.

The lower deck of Better Place features the night and service areas accommodating the owners in the aft suite and up to ten guests in four double staterooms, and ten crew in five double cabins. All cabins have en-suites.

The crew and service quarter is forward with galley, laundry and crew mess. The two engine rooms are amidships.

The interior design combines carbon look both gloss and satin, satin white lacquered oak, grey leather, and color matched upholstery to create a relaxed feeling. Colour-changing LED lights are used throughout the yacht and can be adjusted in order to change the atmosphere, reflecting the interior design concept to have soft and neutral tones that are colored by the lights. The cabins are linked by a light installation, running along the spine of the yacht.

There are currently no information if this yacht or sale or a price.

The area around the deckhouse features the raised bulwark, appeared firstly on Wally’s ESENSE in 2006. This feature offers an aesthetically kind of safety without stanchions on the hull. Only the flush deck has stobs for the rail.

7 Wally Innovations That Changed Sailing History

wally

Since Luca Bassani founded the brand in 1994, Wally has pioneered groundbreaking solutions that have transformed technologies and aesthetics to the extent that today it is hard to identify any aspect of large yacht design that has not been influenced by his creative vision . We’ve put together a round up of seven innovations that have since been absorbed into mainstream yachting.

1. Carbon fibre

Wally Nariida

Everything from bicycle frames to champagne bottles is made of carbon fibre nowadays, but that was not the case in 1991 when Bassani launched his own 25m  sloop  Wallygator (now  Wally One ). Her  carbon composite hull and full carbon mast were complete novelties in boating at the time and were inspired by the New Zealand challenger KZ-1, the first big yacht with a full carbon mast, in the 1988 America’s Cup.

In 1994,  Wallygator II (now  Nariida ) even had carbon fibre  sails long before 3DL arrived on the scene. Since then, Wally has been at the forefront of developments in carbon composite construction and when 50.5m  Better Place was launched in 2012 she was the largest carbon fibre sloop in the world.

2. Lifting keel

1994. Wally Nariida_Photo Guido Grugnola.

When the Wally 77  Carrera (now  Lyra ) was launched in 2000, she was the first cruising yacht to have a  hydraulic lifting keel with bulb (as opposed to a daggerboard or swing keel) for better performance under sail and easier access to shallow bays. Again, the engineering systems have been continuously upgraded and improved. Wally’s first  canting keel appeared on  Tiketitan in 1998, unheard of for anything expect ocean racers at the time.

3. Submarine anchor

largest wally yacht

Luca Bassani first introduced a ‘bomb bay’ anchor systemaboard   Wallygator II . The underwater mechanism provided better weight distribution as the anchor and chain locker is moved aft instead of in the bow, reducing pitching under sail. The system was further developed and fine-tuned over the years and is now a standard feature on Wally sailing yachts.

Wallygator was both the catalyst and prototype for many developments that are now commonplace. These included  simplifying the sailing systems with a self-tacking jib, swept-back spreaders and no running backstays. Wally took the easy sailing concept a step further with a  push-button system for trimming the sails on  Wallygator II , and again in 1998 with  Tiketitan and  Slingshot (now  Itaca ), which were the first yachts equipped with  Magic Trim .

The fully automatic sail trimming system developed in collaboration with Cariboni effectively meant that even the largest yachts could be handled single-handed. Wally has continuously improved and refined the automation technology, so that on the WallyCento  Tango , for example, the jib can be furled/unfurled in just 8 seconds.

5. Beach Club

A beach club or terraced main deck aft that brings guests into closer contact with the sea are must-have feature on modern superyachts. In fact, the  terrace-on-the-sea concept was devised by Luca Bassani and first introduced aboard  Tiketitan , which had a main salon below deck overlooking the open transom. The layout offered unique access to the sea and was applied to other Wally sailing yachts from 24-50m.

6. On-Deck Living

Closely allied to the inside-outside concept is the  deck and cockpit layout . Wally was a pioneer in completely separating the guest cockpit from the manoeuvring and operations areas for reasons of safety, efficiency and enjoyment. This philosophy reached a pinnacle of purity with  Esense in 2006, where the  raised bulwarks became an integral part of the hull structure and provided longitudinal rigidity to the huge open expanse of flushdeck .

The mirrored glass salon aboard  Tiketitan ushered in another innovation that has since become commonplace: the extensive use of structural glass. The first  strip skylight integrated into the length of the deckhouse on a sailing yacht appeared in 2003 on the Wally 80, and Better Place was the first megasailer to have full-height superstructure windows.

New details revealed about Wally's latest 18m wallypower58

After Wally previewed a small taste of its new motor model during the 2021 Cannes Yachting Festival, there is much to be desired about the wallypower58. Now, eight months later, the Italian builder has officially debuted the 17.66-metre open sports cruiser.

Under the Ferretti Group, the wallypower58 is the first boat to take its cue from the renowned predecessor, the 36-metre wallypower118. The origami shape, high-speed functionality and futuristic lines of the wallypower118 are as iconic now as they were almost twenty years ago on the boat’s launch day. “The shape of the wallypower58 certainly makes her a close relative of the 118,” says Luca Bassani, Founder and Chief Designer of Wally. But what makes the wallypower58 so special is not just the way she looks, but the way the concept was born to facilitate how owners and yachties like to enjoy their time on the water.

Flexible and functional

The wallypower58 is a yacht that gives owners what they want. “This is the first boat that we researched with existing clients,” explains Stefano de Vivo, Wally’s Managing Director. “We asked them how they used their current boat, and what they wanted to have in their next boat.” The research took two years, and the results showed that owners shared a desire for one thing: flexibility.

The wallypower58’s flexible lower deck can be arranged in three different ways to accommodate up to four overnight guests. For the owner who would like more of their own space, the full-beam ‘double saloon’ option offers an open-plan area in which the owner has a separate cabin and bathroom. Whereas the ‘flexi-guest’ layout provides either an additional guest cabin or a temporary crew cabin with en-suite facilities.

“She is a real game-changer, and this flexible design hasn’t been seen before,” says Bassani. “The owners we spoke to also requested the ability to house and launch another tender.” To comply, the wallypower58’s designers created a hydraulic aft platform for toy storage and easy access to the water. “This additional tender can be as big as 2.9 metres and its launch is made easy thanks to this platform,” adds Bassani.

Easy to operate

Ensuring that the boat is easy to handle was high on the agenda. The wallypower58 is the optimal size for those owners wanting to single-handedly captain their boat. “The idea behind the wallypower58 is that she bridges the gap between the brand’s smaller Tender and larger Power range,” says de Vivo. “The result is a boat that can be driven by the owner alone, or by a small crew.”

Another contributor to the wallypower58’s easy handling is the selection of high-tech equipment in the navigation station. What can be found is a Volvo IPS propulsion system with proprietary joystick manoeuvring, dynamic positioning and Assisted Docking software. This kit has control over the yacht’s engine power that can deliver speeds of up to 38 knots with a range of 310 nautical miles. Whatever the weather, she will remain stable thanks to the triple configuration of her shallow draft along with that ever-distinguishable ultra deep-V Wally hull.

The Wally DNA

Wally is no stranger to daring design choices, and with its pillarless curved glass, broad side decks and clear-cut lines, the wallypower58 displays typical Wally DNA, particularly in her superstructure. With double chines in the boat’s hull and air intakes, her lines are as geometric and sleek as those of her forerunner.

With no shortage of natural light entering the boat from overhead, there was no need for her designers to include the traditional openings usually found to port or starboard. Inspired by Wally’s of the past, the cockpit is natural with a lot of light pouring in from the skylight above. Down below, the interior saloon is windowless, to ensure the yacht maintains its sharp, futuristic profile. However, there is a pair of cameras fitted to either side of the hull that can be live-streamed into screens in the saloon, allowing the outside world in.

Practical design

Spacious enough for up to 16 people, the wallypower58’s cockpit is entirely protected from the sun, wind and water. “We wanted to create a boat with more usability and protection compared to other open tenders,” says Bassani. As a result, the cockpit can be adjusted to suit any climate thanks to the automatic windows. On warmer days, four of these guests can opt to lounge on the adjustable sun pad on the aft deck and make use of Wally’s customary hydraulic passerelle, which is included as standard.

Her design also includes a full-height shower integrated into the side of the platform and folding bulwark ‘wings’ that add an extra 25 square metres of entertaining space when extended. Beyond this, her practicality comes from her top-level sea keeping abilities, high-performance system and efficient hull, making her an ideal option for those wanting a chase boat. “In each of the design and engineering choices, it is clear that the Wally philosophy shines through in the new wallypower58,” adds de Vivo.
