Very nice restaurant. delicious food, soft music, kind waiters. Must try foods: ginger mussel, tuna taco, avocado&crqb salad and surely oysters.

Very nice place. Amazing drinks and good food. The bartender was very nice! We got very good service and came back several times!

We have been on Symi for 2 nights and both nights we have had a lovely carafe of icy cold white wine her at about 10pm as it is a little cooler then. Beautiful building with historic background. We’ll be going again tonight after our walk along the strata. Excellent super yacht watching 😊

This smart looking bar was on our way into town from our hotel, so we called in for a couple of drinks. It seems to market itself as a more upscale bar than the rest of the local tavernas and does a good job of this. It is partly reflected in the price of the drinks. For example, a pint of the local beer was €6.50 here, whereas you could comfortably get it for €4 elsewhere. the complimentary snacks add a bit of value but the views are where this bar really wins. Set just metres from the sea. You get stunning views across the harbour and of the ferries coming and going. Very friendly service as well so definitely worth a visit.

The best lobster pasta i ever had in my life. Amazing cocktails made from mihalis . Service on top.

Great service, great menu selection, great seafood. The staff attentive and helpful. The Tempura Shrimps and the Tempura Asparagus were amazing. The Salmon pasta is also a special dish. The grey parrot added to the entertainment!! A great evening, would certainly recommend.

Ένα από τα καλύτερα μέρη για σούσι που έχω πάει ποτέ! Το μενού είχε μια μεγάλη ποικιλία επιλογών και όλα όσα παραγγείλαμε ήταν νόστιμα. Η εξυπηρέτηση ήταν φανταστική και η τοποθεσία με θέα στον ωκεανό ήταν ασυναγώνιστη. Σίγουρα πρέπει να επισκεφθείτε αν είσαι στη Σύμη!»

"Καταπληκτικό σούσι στη Σύμη! Η ποιότητα των ψαριών ήταν εξαιρετική και η παρουσίαση ήταν όμορφη. Το προσωπικό ήταν φιλικό και εξυπηρετικό και η ατμόσφαιρα ήταν υπέροχη με εκπληκτική θέα στη θάλασσα. Συνιστάται ανεπιφύλακτα!"

Επισκευτηκαμε το εστιατοριο βραδυ για φαγητο κ κρασι. Ειχε ακομα 1 τραπεζι.. φαγαμε οκ αλλα οχι φοβερα. Η πρασινη σαλατα ηταν οκ, η μακαροναδα με τα θαλασσινα ωραια, το vegan burger συμπαθητικο.. για την ποιοτητα τσιμπημενες οι τιμές θεωρώ! Δεν ενθουσιαστηκα αλλα εμεινα ικανοποιημενη εν... μερει. Κυριακη μεσημερι στο Los,παραγγειλαμε μια χωριατικη,εναν μουσακα και μακαρονια με σολομο.Οταν ηρθαν τα μακαρονια φωναξαμε τον σερβιτορο να τα γυρισουμε πισω γιατι ηταν σαν σουπα βουτηγμενα στην κρεμα γαλακτος! Απλα ζητησαμε να παραγγειλουμε κατι αλλο, αλλα η συμπεριφορα του σερβιτορου ηταν απαραδεκτη γιατι δεν συμφωνησα... μαζι του, και επεστρεψε με το ιδιο πιατο αφου ειχε αφαιρεσει αρκετη ποσοτητα απο την κρεμα! Το θεμα το πηρε πολυ προσωπικα,και ετσι εγινε σαφες οτι ο σερβιτορος εκανε και τον σεφ προφανως! Κριμα γιατι ειχαμε φαει παλι σ αυτο το εστιατοριο και μας ειχε φανει καλυτερο! Αστοχιες μπορει να υπαρξουν στα πιατα των εστιατοριων και το καταλαβαινω,αλλα να σε αντιμετωπιζουν με αυτον τον τροπο δεν γινεται! Οταν ο πελατης θελει ν αλλαξει και να παραγγειλει κατι αλλο επειδη δεν του αρεσει το πιατο πρεπει να γινεται σεβαστο! Ποτε ξανα ας προσεχουν το προσωπικο τους,καπου εκει γινεται και η ζημια! Εξαιρετικά περιορισμένη και περιοριστική κάρτα, με έμφαση στη μεξικάνικη και ιαπωνική κουζίνα. Μερίδες ιδιαιτέρως μικρές. Πιάτα ανέμπνευστα και άγευστα σε ΕΞΩΦΡΕΝΙΚΕΣ τιμές! Καταπληκτική η σαγκρια. Τα lobster tacos ήταν νόστιμα αλλά δυστυχώς πιο πολυ φάγαμε αβοκάντο παρά αστακό. Θεα υπέροχη, προσωπικό εξυπηρετικό κ ένα κτήριο με μεγάλη ιστορία.

You feel very posh on this restaurant and the prices are the same with all other places in the island. The food was amazng and very different from other restaurants on the island. We had sushi as well . OMG you want belive how good... they were. I definintly recomand it to anyone who wants to try something different on the island. More

We were in LOS last summer. The view from the restaurant was amazing. The interior was super luxury the food was amazing. they even have an sushi chef that makes the best sushi in greece. You even can choose live lobster and they cook it... however you want it . More

We were walking around the harbor and we found this place . Amazing decor it looks very stylish and instagrameble. You can choose your lobster alive from the aquarium and they cook it for you. Cocktail made in your eyes from mihalis an amazing barman... . Service on top More

Looking for a nice selection of cocktails we tried here one evening. Staff were on their mobile phone and seemed annoyed to be asked where to sit. Place was empty although all around was heaving with customers. Cocktails 12 Euro each which is a bit... steep (other places around 9 Euros) and a lot of ice and not so much spirits. Decor needs serious attention although location is excellent. I gather this is under new management since its glory days last year as a seafood restaurant - they are relying on an old rep here and need to step up service. More

Another great dinner at LOS, thank you guys for the great service and food, ambience amazing. Me and my Gf ate Pasta for main course. The pasta was al dente as it is supposed to be. Perfect seasoning and the taste amazing. Definitely recommended. Lobster... ravioli & Lazagne! We tried local cocktails which amazed our pallet. Great atmosphere next to the sea and nice jazz music.!! Super!! Keep up the good work! More

LOS - ART  YACHT  CLUB

LOS stands for Lobster, Oyster and Sushi, which represents the base of the restaurant. Here our guests can delight themselves in a healthy breakfast, a chic lunch and an elegant dinner, enjoying fresh and tasteful meals with a wide variety of flavors.

On the second floor our Art Gallery revives the Italian former offices, where they signed the Surrender of the Dodekanisos Islands, back in 1945. On its walls are exhibited artworks with international appeal as Philippe Pasqua, Erro, Adami and Pavlos as well as important Greek artists represented by a major Gallery and Auction House, the Kapopoulos Fine Arts Ltd.

After enjoying an elegant dinner the story continues. During the night LOS transforms into a night club of the sponge divers. Here the best cocktails, exclusive drinks and great music will travel us back in time and the ancient Greek spirit will offer you a unique and entertaining experience.

Le Corbusier’s triumphant return to Moscow

The largest Le Corbusier exhibition in a quarter of a century celebrates the modernist architect’s life and his connection with the city.

Given his affinity with Moscow, it is perhaps surprising that the city had never hosted a major examination of Le Corbusier’s work until now. However, the Pushkin Museum and the Le Corbusier Fund have redressed that discrepancy with the comprehensive exhibition “Secrets of Creation: Between Art and Architecture,” which runs until November 18.

Presenting over 400 exhibits, the exhibition charts Le Corbusier’s development from the young man eagerly sketching buildings on a trip around Europe, to his later years as a prolific and influential architect.

The exhibition brings together the different facets of his talent, showing his publications, artwork and furniture design alongside photographs, models and blueprints of his buildings.

Irina Antonova, director of the Pushkin Museum, said, “It was important for us to also exhibit his art. People know Le Corbusier the architect, but what is less well know is that he was also an artist. Seeing his art and architecture together gives us an insight into his mind and his thought-processes.”

What becomes obvious to visitors of the exhibition is that Le Corbusier was a man driven by a single-minded vision of how form and lines should interact, a vision he was able to express across multiple genres.

The upper wings of the Pushkin Museum are separated by the central stairs and two long balconies. The organizers have exploited this space, allowing comparison of Le Corbusier’s different art forms. On one side there are large paintings in the Purist style he adapted from Cubism, while on the other wall there are panoramic photographs of his famous buildings.

Le Corbusier was a theorist, producing many pamphlets and manifestos which outlined his view that rigorous urban planning could make society more productive and raise the average standard of living.

It was his affinity with constructivism, and its accompanying vision of the way architecture could shape society, which drew him to visit the Soviet Union, where, as he saw it, there existed a “nation that is being organized in accordance with its new spirit.”

The exhibition’s curator Jean-Louis Cohen explains that Le Corbusier saw Moscow as “somewhere he could experiment.” Indeed, when the architect was commissioned to construct the famous Tsentrosoyuz Building, he responded by producing a plan for the entire city, based on his concept of geometric symmetry.

Falling foul of the political climate

He had misread the Soviet appetite for experimentation, and as Cohen relates in his book Le Corbusier, 1887-1965, drew stinging attacks from the likes of El Lissitsky, who called his design “a city on paper, extraneous to living nature, located in a desert through which not even a river must be allowed to pass (since a curve would contradict the style).”

Not to be deterred, Le Corbusier returned to Moscow in 1932 and entered the famous Palace of the Soviets competition, a skyscraper that was planned to be the tallest building in the world.

This time he fell foul of the changing political climate, as Stalin’s growing suspicion of the avant-garde led to the endorsement of neo-classical designs for the construction, which was ultimately never built due to the Second World War.

Situated opposite the proposed site for the Palace of the Soviets, the exhibition offers a tantalizing vision of what might have been, presenting scale models alongside Le Corbusier’s plans, and generating the feeling of an un-built masterpiece.

Despite Le Corbusier’s fluctuating fortunes in Soviet society, there was one architect who never wavered in his support . Constructivist luminary Alexander Vesnin declared that the Tsentrosoyuz building was the "the best building to arise in Moscow for over a century.”

The exhibition sheds light on their professional and personal relationship, showing sketches and letters they exchanged. In a radical break from the abstract nature of most of Le Corbusier’s art, this corner of the exhibition highlights the sometimes volatile architect’s softer side, as shown through nude sketches and classical still-life paintings he sent to Vesnin.

“He was a complex person” says Cohen. “It’s important to show his difficult elements; his connections with the USSR, with Mussolini. Now that relations between Russia and the West have improved, we can examine this. At the moment there is a new season in Le Corbusier interpretation.” To this end, the exhibition includes articles that have never previously been published in Russia, as well as Le Corbusier’s own literature.

Completing Le Corbusier’s triumphant return to Russia is a preview of a forthcoming statue, to be erected outside the Tsentrosoyuz building. Even if she couldn’t quite accept his vision of a planned city, Moscow is certainly welcoming him back.
