First look: Meyer Yachts reveals interior of first 150m ultra-sustainable concept

Related articles.

Meyer Yachts, the superyacht division of commerical shipbuilder Meyer Werft, took the opportunity at the Monaco Yacht Show to reveal the first interior renderings of its 150 metre concept known as ONE50.

The concept was first announced at the Monaco Yacht Show in 2021 and is the first design launched under the superyacht division. ONE50 spans six decks with a 20 metre beam and a herculean volume of 15,000 GT. The yacht is also designed to be powered by fuel cell technology and battery banks, powered by 25,000 kilowatts of electricity to deliver a top speed of 23 knots.

Her interior design has been developed in-house and is home to several first-of-its-kind features. One such feature is a cavernous spa set over two levels encompassing several hundred square metres of floor space. A retractable swimming pool can be found on the starboard side that slides out to sit above the water, alongside a wellness bar, massage parlour, sauna and hammam.

"The wellness and health aspect has been a trend in the superyacht segment for years. With this extravagant spa, we want to set an example and show what is possible for us," said Lars Kruse, head of sales at Meyer Yachts.

Elsewhere, the top deck is reserved for the owner's use only and is home to forward facing suite and private forward terrace. "They [the owner] can practically step straight out of bed into the pool, which is designed as an indoor-outdoor variant and connects the suite with the foredeck," Kruse added. Other features include a private lounge with a TV and audio system as well as a number of private dining options.

“We are opening the next chapter in our history and entering the market for mega yachts,” said Meyer Group chief executive Bernard Meyer. “We can realise almost limitless ideas and ship sizes - even the craziest ones. We are currently seeing that the demand for mega yachts is increasing and there is room for another shipyard in this segment”.

The company's commitment to alternative fuels underpins the vision of Meyer Yachts. "We see a lot of potential in mega yachts for new environmentally technologies and we attach great importance to this," the group said.

With its roots in the cruising sector, Meyer Group already has the facilities to build yachts up to 500 metres in length and will position itself at the top end of the market with the aim to build the "world's largest and greenest mega yachts".

MEYER Group plans world's largest and greenest mega yachts

yacht_tagansicht_d_multi_1

MEYER Group continues to work on realizing innovative ship concepts in new market segments: At the Monaco Yacht Show, the family-owned company will now show for the first time a concept for a mega yacht under the MEYER Yachts brand powered entirely by fuel cells and batteries, named ONE 50.

The MEYER Group is thus further diversifying its product portfolio. "Since 1795, we have built more than 700 ships in Papenburg alone. So our references can be seen on all the world's oceans. Now we are opening the next chapter in our history and entering the market for mega yachts. We have already received very positive feedback because we can realize almost limitless ideas and ship sizes - even the seemingly craziest ones. We are currently seeing that the demand for mega yachts is increasing and there is room for another shipyard in this segment," says Bernard Meyer.

Large and complex ships are part of the MEYER Group's core competence. In the shipbuilding halls, which can be up to 504 meters long, ships with a length of almost 350 meters have been built almost exclusively for years. "Mega yachts are a new market segment that we can serve at all our three shipyards. At MEYER, it is always our ambition to position ourselves at the top - in environmental protection as well as now in yacht size. That's why the ONE 50 is just the beginning of our ideas and plans," says Thomas Weigend.

150-meter yacht concept with fuel cells and battery system

As the first model from MEYER Yachts, ONE 50 immediately shows what the new brand stands for - pioneering spirit, exceptional excellence and no limits. At 150 metres long and 20 metres wide, ONE 50 has an enormous volume of 15,000 gross tons. On six decks, the yacht for a maximum of 44 guests offers a spa on two levels, a cinema with an adjoining billiard salon, an entertainment area including a stage, an art gallery and a huge infinity pool at the stern. Fuel cells and battery banks are installed in the engine room to make ONE 50 as sustainable as possible. Electrically powered by 25 000 kilowatts, ONE 50 will reach a maximum speed of 23 knots.

Building mega yachts may become next MEYER success story

"We see a lot of potential in mega yachts for new environmentally friendly technologies, which we also use directly in the ONE 50, for example the fuel cell for emission-free ship operation. We attach very great importance to this. In addition to the many competencies and skills we already have, we will also bring additional specialists from the yacht building industry into our team and strengthen the MEYER Group," says Malte Poelmann.

Mega yachts have the potential to become the next MEYER success story and thus also secure employment at all locations. "We are experts in building special ships, we have proven that many times. Now we are working on making mega yachts even bigger and, above all, greener," says Bernard Meyer.

Meyer Yachts enters superyacht market with ultra-sustainable 150m yacht concept ONE 50

' src=

German shipbuilder Meyer Group has entered the superyacht market with its first yacht concept – the 150 metre ultra-sustainable ONE 50.

Announced at the Monaco Yacht Show, ONE 50 spans six decks with a 20 metre beam and a herculean volume of 15,000GT. The yacht is also designed to be powered by fuel cell technology and battery banks, powered by 25,000 kilowatts of electricity to deliver a top speed of 23 knots.

Speaking at the Monaco Yacht Show, Meyer Werft’s communication manager Florian Feimann said: “We believe that right now there are people looking for a yacht of this size but they do not want the fuels that are currently available. At the moment Elon Musk, for example, cannot buy a fuel cell/battery-powered yacht. But now he can with us.”

ONE 50 is the first yacht concept from the builder’s new yachting division Meyer Yachts. With its roots in the cruising sector, Meyer Group already has the facilities to build yachts up to 500 metres in length and will position itself at the top end of the market with the aim to build the “world’s largest and greenest mega yachts”.

The Meyer family has kept its shipbuilding company on course for 226 years – that’s seven generations. Currently Bernard Meyer and his sons Jan and Tim sit on the MEYER management board.

The company was founded in Papenburg, Germany and our shipyard facilities are still located there to this day. This is where the shipyard’s founder, Willm Rolf Meyer, started building small wooden sailing boats in 1795. More than 700 ships of different types have been built at the yard to date.

The other shipyards in the 6.500 employee strong MEYER Group are NEPTUN WERFT in Rostock and MEYER TURKU in Finland. We design and build ships tailored to the needs of our clients and with a wealth of expertise and innovative solutions. Our new yachting division MEYER Yachts follows exactly the same path.

exceptional excellence

Crafted with passion and expertise..

With two covered building halls and state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities in Papenburg, we are one of the largest and most modern shipyards in the world with halls of 370 and 504 metres in length. Around 50 luxury vessels have left our shipyard – and the next vessels are already under construction.

yacht_nachtansicht_b_multi_0002_scaled_1

We also benefit from the efforts of several partners who are involved in the construction of our ships and yachts. Our affiliates in the MEYER Group work alongside many external suppliers to have an extensive network for all kinds of requests.

We work closely with around 2,000 employees at our partner companies in day-to-day operations. This means the MEYER Group generates a total of 40,000 jobs in the shipbuilding and supply industry, as well as in various trades involved in operations in Germany, Finland and other European countries.

We know that our success is mainly due to our craftsmen and partner companies. That’s why we continue to promote cooperative partnerships and assume responsibility for people, the region and the environment. Lots of our employees are the third or fourth generation within their family to work at MEYER – they have known the MEYER spirit since childhood.

adobestock_260336691_small_web

Freedom means

Responsibility., we build the yachts of tomorrow., for us, engineering therefore means sustainability..

At MEYER we strongly believe that we have a duty to build our products as environmentally friendly as possible. That’s why our specialist technicians and engineers are constantly working on the most advanced technologies that will make our yachts even more efficient and sustainable.

adobestock_120590281_small_web

The development of the LNG drive system for example has consolidated our position as the technological leader in the construction of cruise liners, and it’s also a huge incentive for us to continue our research.

Our objective is to build climate neutral yachts with alternative and renewable fuels – we’re putting all our passion and courage into the development of new ideas.

MEYER will also start testing fuel cells as the next milestone in the development of climate-neutral shipping solutions. Fuel cells are seen as the technology of the future. The concept is as simple as it is ingenious – hydrogen plus oxygen generates electricity and heat. Hydrogen is obtained from methanol, which can be produced sustainably from renewable energy sources. This means fuel cells operate without any harmful emissions – they only produce water vapour. The technology also reduces noise and vibration, which is an important requirement for yacht operations.

We look forward realizing

Your visions..

We look forward to your visions.

The yacht was penned in partnership with Dutch designer Bernd Weel and was fully engineered by the naval architects of Dutch firm Sea Level. The robust hull is constructed out of extra-dense, high-end composite materials, while the superstructure is made of lightweight carbon. As a result, the vessel has a low center of gravity and thus increased stability on the seas. In fact, it can handle waves above 13 feet and gale-force wind. It also has an impressive top speed of 36 knots and a range of up to 450 nautical miles.

“I felt the 50-foot category needed a tough, resiliently robust vessel, one that is truly seaworthy and built to superyacht standards,” Lengers adds. “A yacht that could cruise with ease even in the toughest of weather conditions: an SUV on water.”

Onboard, however, you can expect “supercar GT quality.” The carbon hardtop, which required a year of research and engineering, even has an automated sunroof like your favorite Ferrari. You’ll also find ergonomic pilot seats with shock absorption and an “indestructible” wet bar. Below deck, there are large windows in the hull to ensure the living quarters receive plenty of natural light and cabins for up to four guests.

Lengers says the yard will build a limited number of yachts each year to ensure quality craftsmanship. Now that’s what you call Dutch built.

48 to 100' wow, wide range, huge difference... With no experience? Not a chance even under 50' No insurer will cover you anyway... Single handling has been discussed many times here, use the search function. In short some folks feel that taking a boat out alone is taking too much risk others are comfortable with it. Two important things... It depends on the boat layout (some can be easily single handed others not) and where you re going. Long passages off shore are out of the question since you need to sleep... Weather can make things risky... Locks can be a real challenge since you need to adjust the lines

You can also forget locking through single-handed on anything bigger than Great Bridge (3' drop). If you can afford a 100 footer, buy a 50 footer and put the rest of the money toward crew salary since, as Pascal pointed out, your insurance company will require you to hire a captain anyway. And look up those other threads on single-handing.

Why not go to 112ft with Dashews new yacht designed to be run by a couple; and therefore should be suitable for singlehanded use. But you have a long learning curve to be able to achieve your dream; but if you don`t try you`ll never succeed. New boats are being designed especially for couples that are even longer than this, and gives owners freedom from employing a crew, (not always encouraged by professional Captains). Live your dream; you can only kill yourself afterall! Paul

I suggest you find a local class in seamanship and safety on the water. These courses are often given at a very low cost by the U.S. Coast Guard Auxillary, or by the U.S. Power Squadron. You will meet other beginning boaters and learn a lot to help you decide what boats will fit your needs. As others have said here it is diffcult to get insurance for a boat if you have limited experience, and having taken one of these courses will help with insurance. You can find information about local classes on the BoatUS web site.

5 boats deep, one end to the other? ie, side by side?

leek

NYCAP123 said: When locking through you need to hold both the bow & stern against the wall as well as stop forward or reverse movement as a lot of water moves in and out of the locks. An experienced captain can manage this solo in smaller locks. but when the drop is 10, 20 or more feet even the most experienced needs someone at the other end of the boat. If you lose control of either end you're likely to make some enemies and maybe the news. I suggest you go to those locks on a holiday weekend and watch the action. I once had a fine lady dancing on my boat at the Shinnicock locks (only a 3' drop) on a July 4th weekend. The locks were 5 boats deep one end to the other. When the locks opened it looked like a giant game of pick-up-sticks and more than one husband was getting smacked by his wife. Click to expand...

I was 100% confused by that at first. Read the post above about floating cleats. Now I'm at least as clear as muddy water. I'll stick to the marina and beyond for now.

Arkansas River Lockage on the Arkansas should be no problem for an experienced single-hander as the locks all have floating mooring bitts; thus the need for only one line at the midships. Most inland locks are so equiped. However, leaving the Arkansas puts you in the lower Mississippi which is not a river for recreational boaters - even experienced ones. There are few spots for fuel and reprovisioning, and the commerical traffic is heavy 24/7. And, the river itself is turbulent and unpredicatable. Be very wary of the mighty Miss!
hatteras? are hatteras good boats for rivers I am planning on buying one this summer

50 foot yacht: guide to buying your next yacht.

  • June 3, 2021

50 foot yacht interior

Boat owners will often move into the 50 foot yacht range when looking to do more than simple day boating excursions. While still typically owner-operated, a 50 foot yacht provides increased flexibility with regards to living spaces and can offer a wide array of amenities that suit your tastes and needs while on the water.

When moving up into the 50 foot range, yacht owners can begin expecting three stateroom layouts. With new technology and yacht design processes, owners can expect an impressive combination of interior spaciousness without sacrificing a sporty and sleek look.

Many new models in this size range are leading to extraordinary interest via buyers. Models such as the new Sunseeker Manhattan 55 and the Riviera 5400 Sport Yacht are very hot on the market today due to its gorgeous design and style mixed with incredible spaciousness and functionality.

BUYING A 50 FOOT YACHT

If you’re considering purchasing a new or used yacht, there are a few things you might consider as you narrow your options. First, what is your ideal day on the water? This will provide some helpful direction towards the type of yacht you’ll require. How much time do you plan to spend on the boat? How many people do you plan to take with you, and how many will need to be sleeping aboard the boat? How important is speed and do you have any size restrictions based on where you plan to keep your boat?

Buyers in this size range of yacht often will need to decide if they prefer a flybridge design or an express style yacht. While some buyers can’t live without the additional deck which enables 360 degree views of the open water, some buyers prefer the simplicity and ease of use of an express style yacht (or just the sleek and sporty look that many provide).

Answers to these functional questions often leads to the consideration of a few different manufacturers and models. From there, the style and design of both the exterior and interior of the yacht will often speak to the buyer and move him or her toward a buying decision.

Having an idea regarding how much you want to spend on your yacht will also help the process. As you consider the financial components of the purchase, don’t forget to consider the costs associated with care and maintenance. Not only are these important elements of owning and operating a yacht, they will also pay off down the road during a resale process.

Choosing between a new and used yacht is also a major consideration. While a used vessel will cost less, buying new means you can have access to the latest technology and amenities while also making specific selections tailored to your tastes and style.

If you are a first time owner, a few other things to keep in mind before purchasing are: Where do you plan to keep the yacht? You’ll want this lined up prior to finalizing a purchase. Additionally, do you have insurance? Make sure you have insurance coverage finalized before taking possession of the boat (if you’re financing the yacht, this is required).

Lastly, as you consider a new 50 foot yacht purchase, it’s worth noting that there are other parties involved when a buyer purchases a yacht. The quality of the manufacturer of the yacht you purchase and the dealer from which you buy are crucial considerations.

Does the manufacturer have a proven track record of financial stability, innovation and production quality? Can you rely on your dealer both to assist in the initial transaction and over the coming years with respect to service and guidance? Ensuring your dealer has the resources and commitment to be there every step of the way during your yacht ownership is critical.

One Water Yacht Group is committed to providing a unique approach to both yacht sales and service. Backed with unprecedented financial strength and an unrivaled network of dealers and service centers through the eastern seaboard and Gulf coast, One Water Yacht Group is there for you wherever your new yacht may take you.

Best Full-Size Cruiser 50-54 Feet

  • By Herb McCormick
  • Updated: December 12, 2017

Dufour 520

Winner: Dufour 520

Three French boats of similar size and price points came together to form the Best Full-Size Cruiser 50 to 54 Feet class. The Beneteau Oceanis 51.1, Dufour 520 and Jeanneau 51 were built from three of the world’s most established and well-known high-volume production boatyards.

The Beneteau 51.1 was a fresh, new design, not a scaled-up add-on to a previous line of yachts. Its hull form includes a hard chine, something that Tim Murphy immediately noticed. “Beneteau was one of the first companies to add chines, they were in the first wave,” he said. “The chines were always aft of the beam, and you’d hear three things about why they were putting them there. Some would say it’s for styling, some for performance, some for interior volume. It does give you a structural bump in the hull form.

“This boat, according to a company representative, was inspired by Rambler, an 88-foot maxi racing boat that has a very, very fine entry forward and then the chine right up near the bow, so it gets some flare and volume straightaway. This Beneteau is also carrying the chine forward, which gives you low wetted surface below the waterline and then large interior volume outside of that. So this is a new thing we’re seeing.”

“I thought the boat sailed very nicely,” said Bill Bolin. “The code zero sail was fabulous, it really lit the boat up. It had a big bimini, but it wasn’t a problem getting out of the cockpit from the steering stations, which were in the aft corners.”

Jeanneau 51

“On the motoring side of things, this boat has plenty of power,” said Ed Sherman when discussing the Jeanneau 51. “At 2,800 rpm, we were getting 8.5 knots, and the sound levels were very low.”

“One of the things I hadn’t seen on a boat this size was the aluminum stringer system down below,” said Bolin. “During sea trials, we had light air, maybe 6 to 8 knots of breeze, and the boat was making 4.8 to 5 knots. And when the wind picked up a little, we actually registered 6.6 knots. It tacked through about 95 degrees, so from a performance standpoint the boat was pretty good.”

“The Jeanneau 51 is the smallest boat in Jeanneau’s Yacht series, which also includes a 54, 58 and 64,” said Murphy. “They call the transformer transom, which folds down to make a swimming and boarding platform, the ‘terrace.’ So they’re able to use the same part for the 51’s terrace as they do for the 54. It’s the same for the cockpit table. So that’s one of the reasons they’re able to bring in the smaller boat at a competitive price point.”

At $420,000 for the base boat, the least expensive yacht in this grouping was the Dufour 520. “In terms of motoring capability, it’s quite good,” said Sherman. “We got 9.2 knots at high speed, which was excellent.”

Beneteau 51.1

“The Dufour offered the most pleasurable sailing experience in this class,” said Murphy. “It starts with the helm, which answered beautifully and I didn’t feel like I was fighting it. It was a very smooth feeling. We did not sail it in a lot of breeze, maybe 7 to 8 knots, but we were making close to 6 knots. I wrote down, ‘The helm feels good,’ and underlined it.”

The creature comforts were also outstanding on the Dufour. “There’s a lot of flexibility in the cockpit,” added Murphy. “When sailing, you use it in the traditional way. But once you’re at anchor you have sun pads that come out and a transom that folds down to reveal a sink, grill and fridge. So it becomes kind of a party platform with the outdoor galley.

“Down below, you have the [real] galley forward, so all of the social space is gathered right at the base of the companionway stairs when you come down. The navigation station slides forward, so you can use it as an aft-facing nav station or a forward-facing table for socializing. There were all these things that adapt to the different ways people use their boats, and that boat was also the best to go sailing on. The helm felt the best, there was a traveler on the main so you could shape your mainsail leech, and it had a good suit of sails, so it also gave you the most options there.”

“It has a lot of unique features, and they delivered them well,” said Bolin. “I feel the Dufour 520 was the winner of the Best Full-Size Cruiser 50 to 54 Feet class.” And so did his fellow panelists.

Iconic 'little blue boat' that calls Montrose Bay home up for sale after family makes tough decision

For almost 50 years a little blue boat has been moored on the River Derwent in Hobart's northern suburbs by the side of a busy highway.

It is known affectionately by many Tasmanians as "the little blue boat", and has floated alone next to the Brooker Highway at Montrose Bay over the decades.

Sea Breeze, its official name, was built by Robin Attrill in his Montrose backyard in the early 1970s.

His son Colin Attrill said the boat was launched at Macquarie Wharf in 1976.

"It's been on the mooring in Montrose Bay ever since, and that's why it's such an iconic little blue boat," he said.

Tasmanians curious about 'little blue boat'

The boat is an object of fascination for Brooker Highway motorists and foreshore walkers due to it seemingly never moving.

Colin Attrill said it was "absolutely amazing" the number of people who would stop and talk to him about the boat when he was launching the dinghy to go and check on it.

"The number of people that talk to me that are walking past and go 'that boat has been there forever' and 'it was there when I was going to school or every day when I've been driving to work'," he said.

"Some people say they've never seen it move. Well it used to move all the time.

"Of late it's slowed up, we're all busy and dad has slowed up. We lost mum and once that happened it impacted on family activities."

Tough decision to sell

Its owner is now 91 and the boat has not been sailed for about 10 years.

Colin Attrill said the family had recently made the tough decision to try to sell the boat.

"Dad isn't well and he's gotten old, which we all do, and the boat's got old," he said.

"Anyone who knows about a timber boat knows that they need maintenance."

Mr Attrill said the family used to put the boat on the slip at least once a year to clean and antifoul it, and do any repairs.

"But the past few years Dad has been unable to do anything, and the boat unfortunately has just sat on the mooring," he said.

He said the family decided it was time for the boat to have a new owner.

"Nobody is using it, it needs a new owner who will give it the time and get the enjoyment out of it that we had growing up," he said.

"It's a great boat, and there are many years left. Wooden boats just last."

'Next phase' for the boat

The Attrill family is full of passionate sailors and Robin's brother Peter represented Australia in sailing at the Helsinki Olympics in 1952 — Tasmania's fifth Olympian and the first to represent the state in sailing.

When Robin finished building the 25-foot river cruiser, known by the family as The Breeze, it was used for trips away around Hobart.

"We used to have family trips down the channel, down to Cygnet, down to Dover, and all places in between fishing and weekends away," he said.

"We also used to go to events in Hobart like the Hobart Regatta, the Sandy Bay Regatta. We'd be down the river at any chance, or up the river. She made it to New Norfolk a couple of times.

"The boat was all over the place, wherever we could."

Mr Attrill said it would be a sad day when the boat left Montrose Bay after almost 50 years.

"We will see where it goes and where it ends up and what's the next phase for the boat," he said.

Over the years its owner has been keeping a watchful eye on it just a matter of metres away, across the Brooker Highway from his Montrose home of more than 70 years.

"He's always been there. He'd open the blinds in the morning in the kitchen and look out the window and there's the boat," son Colin said.

"It's always been a part of his life."

Cruising the Moskva River: A short guide to boat trips in Russia’s capital

yacht one 50

There’s hardly a better way to absorb Moscow’s atmosphere than on a ship sailing up and down the Moskva River. While complicated ticketing, loud music and chilling winds might dampen the anticipated fun, this checklist will help you to enjoy the scenic views and not fall into common tourist traps.

How to find the right boat?

There are plenty of boats and selecting the right one might be challenging. The size of the boat should be your main criteria.

Plenty of small boats cruise the Moskva River, and the most vivid one is this yellow Lay’s-branded boat. Everyone who has ever visited Moscow probably has seen it.

yacht one 50

This option might leave a passenger disembarking partially deaf as the merciless Russian pop music blasts onboard. A free spirit, however, will find partying on such a vessel to be an unforgettable and authentic experience that’s almost a metaphor for life in modern Russia: too loud, and sometimes too welcoming. Tickets start at $13 (800 rubles) per person.

Bigger boats offer smoother sailing and tend to attract foreign visitors because of their distinct Soviet aura. Indeed, many of the older vessels must have seen better days. They are still afloat, however, and getting aboard is a unique ‘cultural’ experience. Sometimes the crew might offer lunch or dinner to passengers, but this option must be purchased with the ticket. Here is one such  option  offering dinner for $24 (1,490 rubles).

yacht one 50

If you want to travel in style, consider Flotilla Radisson. These large, modern vessels are quite posh, with a cozy restaurant and an attentive crew at your service. Even though the selection of wines and food is modest, these vessels are still much better than other boats.

yacht one 50

Surprisingly, the luxurious boats are priced rather modestly, and a single ticket goes for $17-$32 (1,100-2,000 rubles); also expect a reasonable restaurant bill on top.

How to buy tickets?

Women holding photos of ships promise huge discounts to “the young and beautiful,” and give personal invitations for river tours. They sound and look nice, but there’s a small catch: their ticket prices are usually more than those purchased online.

“We bought tickets from street hawkers for 900 rubles each, only to later discover that the other passengers bought their tickets twice as cheap!”  wrote  (in Russian) a disappointed Rostislav on a travel company website.

Nevertheless, buying from street hawkers has one considerable advantage: they personally escort you to the vessel so that you don’t waste time looking for the boat on your own.

yacht one 50

Prices start at $13 (800 rubles) for one ride, and for an additional $6.5 (400 rubles) you can purchase an unlimited number of tours on the same boat on any given day.

Flotilla Radisson has official ticket offices at Gorky Park and Hotel Ukraine, but they’re often sold out.

Buying online is an option that might save some cash. Websites such as  this   offer considerable discounts for tickets sold online. On a busy Friday night an online purchase might be the only chance to get a ticket on a Flotilla Radisson boat.

This  website  (in Russian) offers multiple options for short river cruises in and around the city center, including offbeat options such as ‘disco cruises’ and ‘children cruises.’ This other  website  sells tickets online, but doesn’t have an English version. The interface is intuitive, however.

Buying tickets online has its bad points, however. The most common is confusing which pier you should go to and missing your river tour.

yacht one 50

“I once bought tickets online to save with the discount that the website offered,” said Igor Shvarkin from Moscow. “The pier was initially marked as ‘Park Kultury,’ but when I arrived it wasn’t easy to find my boat because there were too many there. My guests had to walk a considerable distance before I finally found the vessel that accepted my tickets purchased online,” said the man.

There are two main boarding piers in the city center:  Hotel Ukraine  and  Park Kultury . Always take note of your particular berth when buying tickets online.

Where to sit onboard?

Even on a warm day, the headwind might be chilly for passengers on deck. Make sure you have warm clothes, or that the crew has blankets ready upon request.

The glass-encased hold makes the tour much more comfortable, but not at the expense of having an enjoyable experience.

yacht one 50

Getting off the boat requires preparation as well. Ideally, you should be able to disembark on any pier along the way. In reality, passengers never know where the boat’s captain will make the next stop. Street hawkers often tell passengers in advance where they’ll be able to disembark. If you buy tickets online then you’ll have to research it yourself.

There’s a chance that the captain won’t make any stops at all and will take you back to where the tour began, which is the case with Flotilla Radisson. The safest option is to automatically expect that you’ll return to the pier where you started.

Chipotle plans rare 50-for-1 stock split as share price nears $3,000

Chipotle Mexican Grill is planning to lower its stock price and give more shares to its existing investors.

The fast-casual restaurant known for burrito bowls and charging extra for guac  said this week it will conduct the company's first ever stock split. The unusual 50-for-1 stock split needs shareholder approval first, which the company said it will seek during its annual meeting in June. And if approved by shareholders, the transaction would be one of the largest stock splits in New York Stock Exchange history, Chipotle said.

The move will make Chipotle's "stock more accessible to employees, as well as a broader range of investors," a company executive said.

"This split comes at a time when our stock is experiencing an all-time high driven by record revenues, profits, and growth," Jack Hartung, Chipotle's chief financial and administrative officer, said in a statement.

Chipotle's share price opened Wednesday at $2,797, up nearly 97% from three years ago when it was $1,421.

What is a stock split?

A stock split is when a publicly traded company increases the number of its shares available to investors in an effort to entice more people to buy shares in the company. Increasing the number of shares available effectively lowers the price of the stock after a certain date — which then makes purchasing stock more affordable. Companies typically conduct stock splits to quickly infuse the organization with outside cash.

Stock splits can be structured many ways — including 3-for-1, 10-for-1 or 100-for-1. In Chipotle's case, anyone holding one share as of June 18 will be awarded an additional 49 once the split is official. Chipotle said investors should expect to see their additional shares on June 25.

In short, the rise in Chipotle's shares is the result of the restaurant's opening new locations and growing revenue. The company opened 271 new locations in 2023 and reported $9.9 billion in revenue for the year, a 14.3% increase from 2022.

In terms of its food offerings, meanwhile, part of Chipotle's recent success is also tied to a new menu item. Truist Securities analysts point to the company's launch of its carne asada dish as driving sales.

The chain had roughly 3,400 locations as of December and plans to open between 285 and 315  new locations this year. CEO Brian Niccol said last month that Chipotle's long-term goal is to have 7,000 restaurants across North America.

Fire crews managed to pull both men from the water. Both were taken to Mount Carmel St. Ann's hospital. One of the men was in critical condition and the other's condition was described as "fair," officials said.

The man who had been in critical condition died from his injuries. His name has not yet been released.

The Ohio Department of Natural Resources is investigating the incident.

What is Hoover Reservoir?

Hoover Reservoir, located off of Sunbury Road near Westerville, encompasses more than 4,000 acres, including a lake that is frequently used for boating and fishing.

The park also includes options for picnics, bird watching, a disc golf course and hiking. The parks spans both Delaware and Franklin counties.

Hoover Reservoir was initially built as a water supply facility in 1955 by the city of Columbus.

Restaurant-Yacht Chaika

Ratings and reviews, location and contact.

Pleasantly surprised, service is good so is the food. Great selection of Fusion food, a mixture of Italian, Japanese, European, Asian etc. A pleasantly nice dining experience, highly recommended, a must try!

Thank you for your feedback and invite you to have lunch or dinner again aboard the ship in an atmosphere of high standards of yacht hospitality.

everything was perfect - the food, the service, the desserts were the best, nice atmosphere and the location - magical

Best food, best view in Moscow. absolutely faultless from arrival to finish. Best risotto i had for many years absolutely perfectly cooked. The view on Ukrainian hotel and the white house by night is amazing

Had to wait for the food for 1.5 hours and then another 20 minutes for the check. Finally called for the manager and he offered... a 10% discount as a compensation. Simply pathetic! The food is mediocre at best. Not bad per se, but one... would expect something better considering the prices. There are many places to eat in area that are much better. Avoid this one at all costs. Hello, Alexander Your comment is extremely important for us, thank you a lot for it. We are terribly sorry for your time that you`ve spent waiting your order and we have already taken actions to improve quality of our service and it would be realy... More

Food is very expensive, very pretentious, doesn't worth that money. Portions are very small. We ordered ravioli and there were 4! Four raviolis! For almost 15 euros. Then we asked to bring us dessert menu but nothing, they didn't even bothered, so we payed and left... without dessert. Very poor service for that price. More

This is a very good restaurant. The food is really good, maybe the best in Moscow. The service is also good. The view from the restaurant is great. The prices are very high.

I often visit this restaurant and must say it’s one of the best in Moscow in terms of quality and service. Staff really try hard to make sure that you are happy and satisfied. Customer service is a huge problem in Moscow but Chaika sets... a great example for others in the industry! Food is delicious and the menu has lots of options for everyone! Atmosphere is great and view is beautiful on the embankment. Special thanks to German & Oleg! More

Thank you for your feedback! Again aboard the yacht restaurant "Chaika" in accordance with the high standards of yacht hospitality.

Highly recommended, great location in the city center of Moscow with a superb atmosphere. Too many menu choices, though all delicious!

Thx a lot for your review! We are looking forward to see you in our restaurants.

Visited this lovely restaurant with a friend of mine. It was relaxingly warm August evening - so the place on the river seemed like a good idea. We came quite early and the restaurant was not full. The hostesses kindly offered several places to sit... and we chose to sit on the sofas. We had some wine, which was good. We struggled a bit when deciding about the food as few options (scallops) were not available. Fish on ice on display did not look very fresh. To be honest it was an unusually hot August and it is probably understandable that some see food options were not available. However, we did manage to order something and sat waiting and looking onto the river. My long-legged friend struggled sitting at the low sofa and the manager noticed that, offering as a very good, proper table beside the open window. It was nice touch and I was very pleased by their polite observations and immediate reaction to solve the problem. Food was quite good and presentation was perfect. Perhaps I can something about the food, but 1 visit is not enough to criticize or make a definitive opinion. Overall, quality place, which of course, does not come cheap. I would recommend this restaurant without hesitation. More

Good afternoon! Thank you for your detailed feedback! We are looking forward to seeing you again, we are sure that you will be delighted with our dishes!

I've been here several times during two business trip in Moscow. The overall quality for both service and food is absolutely top-notch, plus the location is very unique.

Good location. Nice views. Good choice of food and drinks. European and Asian menu. Nice service. Pricey enough.

Had a large group dinner here. Food was above average and service quite good. The real attraction is the view of Moscow from the river on a nice night. Great place for a larger group dinner. More
