PLAN B Yacht – Luxuriant $100M Superyacht

The PLAN B yacht is Patokh Chodiev’s $100 million superyacht that was delivered by German shipbuilders Abu Dhabi Mar in 2012.

Alberto Pinto drew up the classic interior design, and the exterior was designed by Focus Yacht Design. The 73m yacht offers a luxurious yachting experience.

Alberto Pinto designed the interior of the PLAN B yacht. She has eight cabins that can accommodate 16 guests, one master, three VIPs, one double, and three twins.

There are ten cabins for 22 crew members. She features a massive beach club that creates an inside/outside area on the water for guests to enjoy.

Behind the helipad, which serves as an excellent spot to view the surrounding environment, is a sundeck jacuzzi surrounded by sun pads, sun loungers, and a bar.

A corridor connects the beach club to a spa and steam room.

The main deck aft has a partially shaded area by the upper deck overhang and with the option for additional shade with a canopy to suit guests.

There are plenty of interior design features that are excellent for relaxation and socialization among guests.

The master suite is on the main deck and is a large room with a private terrace, en-suite bathroom, a lounge, and a study.

The sundeck has an indoor gym space that guests can use while the boat is underway. The gym features spectacular views with floor-to-ceiling windows.

The exterior was designed by Focus Yacht Design and built by Abu Dhabi Mar, a prestigious German shipbuilder.

The ADM shipyard, Nobiskrug, is on the Elder River in Germany and is known for building custom-made and cutting-edge luxury yachts. ADM was formerly known as HDW-Kiel.

The PLAN B yacht was delivered in 2012, with an exterior consisting of a striking steel hull and white aluminum superstructure. PLAN B was recently refitted in 2020.

Specifications

With her 2 MTU engines, The PLAN B yacht can reach a top speed of 17kn. She has a volume of 1773 tons and costs $5-$10 million per annum to run.

At her cruising speed of 13 knots, she can cover 4000 nautical miles. She has a total length of 73m, a draft of 3.6m, and a 12m beam.

She has a Lloyds Classification, with advanced Zero Speed stabilizers for maximum comfort onboard while at anchor.

PLAN B, a 73.07 m Motor Yacht built in Germany and delivered in 2012, is the flagship of HDW-Kiel .

Built in 1995, motor yacht PLAN B underwent a thorough interior and exterior refit in 2013, creating her excellent condition a new owner will enjoy.

PLAN B features a timeless, yet contemporary styling. Her beautiful furnishings and natural light throughout her living areas offer a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. PLAN B provides many spaces for socializing and entertaining, including a salon, a dining area, an open flybridge and an aft main deck.

Five staterooms, with designer touches, accommodate up to 10 people on board. PLAN B features a master stateroom with a king-size bed, a walk-in, cedar-lined closet and a marble en-suite bath with two sinks and a Jacuzzi tub with shower. Four additional staterooms can be used for guests or one can be used for crew if desired.

PLAN B has a luxurious open flybridge with helm and chairs, two custom tables and settees, as well as an aft barbecue and lounging area. A swimming platform has an additional hydraulic lift that can carry watercraft.

Full Details

The Lazzara 76 is one of the best boats in her size range to explore and cruise the Bahamas and Florida area. It has good cruising speed, 22 knots, to go from island to island and one of the shallowest drafts for her length. Plan B is easy to handle from her pilothouse or flybridge helm with bow and stern thrusters and new navigational equipment at both helms. A full walk-around deck makes docking a cinch and she is stabilized for extra comfort underway. A tender can be carried on the flybridge aft deck, which doubles as a spacious lounging area when the tender is in the water. The hydraulic lifting platform attached to Plan B’s swim platform serves as an extension of the swim platform, particularly useful for diving and other water sports, and can be used to carry additional water craft as well. 

The twin MTU engines with upgraded chrome package have low hours, only 1850 original hours on them. All the yacht systems have been upgraded and serviced as necessary. 

In 2013 Plan B went to the Lazzara factory where she underwent an extensive exterior and interior refit. From all new paint and outdoor enclosure, furniture, cushions and upholstery to interior dramatic new flooring, carpets, furniture, soft goods and all new galley appliances and counters. Life on Plan B is enjoyed in a lovely, light-filled environment, kept fresh and organized with the aid of two laundry centers, central Vac and lots of storage.

Whether you are an owner/operator or run your boat with crew, Plan B has a layout that will work for you with the master and two guest staterooms aft and two cabins forward with an office area.

Walkthrough

In 2013 and 2014 the boat underwent an interior refit and has a contemporary feel with new furnishings and amenities. This Lazzara was painted in late 2013 and upgrades galore on the exterior as well including custom handcrafted built-in solid wooden bars and solid built in wooden cocktail tables on flybridge and decks. All new exterior designer soft furnishings were fitted; all tables and exterior seating have new storage covers including the large reclinable sunpads on the bow. In the salon and galley new flooring and all new wall coverings throughout the boat were installed in the refit.

This Lazzara features a five stateroom layout that sleeps 10, has 5 customized heads and 1 additional day head between salon and forward pilothouse. The master and both VIP staterooms are midship and accessed by a stairwell from the main salon. Crew or extra guest staterooms are forward and accessed via stairwell from the pilothouse. The Captains quarters feature a full-size bed; second forward stateroom has over/under beds. There is an adjoining generous office space that features a wraparound desk, a settee, and a second set of washer and dryer combo. All staterooms have ensuite heads; entertainment centers, climate controls, smoke detectors and fire blankets. The foyer to the master and VIP staterooms features a customized display area for artwork, large storage closets, and a washer and dryer and custom wine cooler. There are controls to select the lighting color, pattern and intensity for this area. The very large master stateroom features a king-size bed with a new custom hand crafted mattress. There are settees and nightstands on both sides of thebedandafullentertainmentcentertrimmedinburlwithTV/VCR,Stereo/CDplayer.Alarge walk-in closet is to starboard. The master head is to port and features marble floors and his and her sinks. There is a built in Jacuzzi tub/shower. The Port Side VIP stateroom features a queen bed with a custom hand crafted mattress, with nightstand and built in entertainment center. The ensuite head compartment contains a sink and shower. The StarboardsideVIPstateroomfeaturestwinberthsentertainmentcenter,ensuiteheadwithsink and shower. The rooms are decorated with coordinating designer fabrics. The main salon features dual sofas to port and starboard. The integral entertainment center has a new TV, DVD and CD stereo system w/speaker selector and volume controls for various areas on the main deck. Dark hardwood flooring accents the white interior and contemporary design. The dining salon is forward of the main salon and features a custom cabinet above the bar and a custom dining table to accommodate 6 guests. There is a central vac accessed throughout the boat. A spacious large pilothouse with a settee and breakfast nook that seat 4 and a large leather sofa style bench seat at the helm with port and starboard entry doors giving access.

The U shaped galley is forward of the dining salon and to port. Updated in 2013 with all new appliances and flooring including:

The flybridge features twin captain chairs at the helm followed on the portside by an L- shaped settee with 2 custom teak tables. On the starboard side is a solid teak S curved bar/ dining with 3 fixed bar stools, refrigerator/freezer and large stainless steel BBQ grill. Aft of the settee are lounges and chairs. All are newly added in the refit. New stereo and speakers throughout the upper, aft and forward decks with independent sound control. There's a power davit both port and starboard cleverly integrated into the superstructure.

Electrical And Mechanical

Critical ship's system function such as stabilizers and plumbing systems rely on compressed air. Two upgraded compressed air systems prvide redundancy. All diamond plate on engine room sole and with pan and zoom for engine room monitoring. Central vacuum system with connections throughout the ship. Upgraded higher capacity fire extinguishing system for engine room.

Luxury motor yacht PLAN b was built in 1973 by the Australian Navy. She was refitted in 2004, 2011 and then 2014 and underwent an extensive transformation from a military explorer vessel into a superb luxury superyacht. At 50m LOA and with a beam of 10m, this stunning yacht provides abundant exterior and interior living spaces. Her interior design is a work of Tracey Barnier-Willis Design and features decor inspired by travelling around the world.

The main salon of motor yacht Plan B is spacious and inviting. Some opulent decor elements, such as some exotic fur, skins, Louis Vuitton travel collection lavish trunks and styling furnishing, create a truly opulent ambiance, Motor yacht Plan B has a "Great room" perfect for social gathering, unwinding and entertainment. There are also a spacious lounge, beautiful dining area and study.

Located on the main deck, the owner's master suite is almost a full-beam size and boasts large closets, desks and seating. Guest accommodation comprises of two grand and two smaller double cabins. Plan B accommodate 12 guests in total, assisted by 14 crew members.

PLAN B Specifications

Exterior spaces of the main deck are enormous and can carry a hundred guests on a special occasion held aboard Plan B. There is plenty of space for a romantic dinner for 2 or a vibrant celebration for 25. Durning the day the main deck will become the centre of sunbathing and entertainment, while at night it will transfer into a movie theatre or a night club.

The Jacuzzi deck boasts a fully equipped gym, a massive Jacuzzi and sun loungers. The Upper aft deck features a fabulous indoor/outdoor flow. The upper deck lounge has comfortable seating and a dining table. An alfresco dining option for 20 people is also available on the upper deck.

Yacht Accommodation

The accommodation offer comfortable sleeping for 10 people in five private staterooms - 1 Super King, 3 King, 1 King which converts to a to twin. The master cabin (super king) is located on the main deck. It has a spacious living area including a lounge, office, dressing room and ensuite bathroom with his and her shower units. The second king stateroom has an ensuite with a shower and bath unit. The three final staterooms also have private ensuites with only a shower. All cabins have CD Portable flat screen TV's and DVD's.

Nautical equipment and facilities include: Stabilizers, water maker, Water Capacity 5,284 gal, Fuel Capacity 35,667 gal, air conditioning, fresh deck water, swimming platform and ladder, full laundry facilities. COMMUNICATION equipment includes: SatCom, fax, copier, printer, computer and email. LEISURE EQUIPMENT includes: A Waverunner, snorkel gear, kayaks, canoe, fishing equipment including light fishing trolling & casting, 12 sets of scuba gear, compressor, water skis, windsurfer, sailing yacht, bikes, scooters and a gym room. There is a Dinghy 28ft Protector/ 300hp (diesel), Barge 26ft Landing barge/ 250 hp (diesel), Dinghy 20ft Kingfisher alloy rib/ 240 hp (diesel) with jet unit. ‘Plan B’ is a 163.94ft  /49.97m  motor yacht, custom built in 1973 by Australian Navy and last refitted in 2011. Previously named HMAS Flinders (Ran), she is a superb choice for the most memorable of charter vacations.

Plan B’s interior layout sleeps up to 12 guests in 5 rooms, including a master suite, 2 double cabins. She is also capable of carrying up to 14 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience. Timeless styling, beautiful furnishings and sumptuous seating feature throughout to create an elegant and comfortable atmosphere.

Her leisure and entertainment facilities make her perfect for entertaining friends and family on your charter vacation. There’s ample space for enjoying an alfresco lunch, delicious dinner on deck, or simply lounging in the sunshine and topping up your tan.

Plan B is built to comply to both MCA standards, and has a cruising speed of 11 knots, a maximum speed of 12 knots and a range of 7,000nm from 152,800litre fuel tanks. Her combination of performance and style is another aspect that makes her so popular.

This impressive yacht comes complete with a modern stabilization system to reduce roll motion even during rough seas, and the yacht also has ‘at anchor stabilizers’ to keep things smooth even at anchor/zero speed.

A Jacuzzi on deck is just perfect for relaxing with friends and family, while taking in the breath-taking views after a long day of exploration.

You’ll enjoy Wi-Fi connection throughout, so you’ll be able to check emails or share your experience on social media. A gym onboard, equipped with the latest exercise equipment, means you’ll never miss a work out while you’re away!

Air conditioning keeps conditions comfortable throughout the cabins, even on the most oppressive of days or nights.
