Very friendly. If you wish to charter a Captain and catch you limit of Rockfish this is the place. Store has beer and bait. Fuel dock with easy access and pump out. Reasonable fuel prices but if you want the best price on the bay Herrington Harbor South has everyone beat.

New owners are not at all client friendly. Do not do what they say they will do. With so many marinas in the area don't waste your time here. I really miss Lee and David. They ran a good family marina.

One of the best marinas I have kept my boat. The management is accommodating and easy to deal with. The service department is fair and very customer service oriented. The location is great right out to the bay. Recommend if you want a family atmosphere.

Excellent marina, some of the cheapest gas prices on the bay and they have 93 octane. Just added beer sales to the ship store.

Boasting a prime position on Edgewater, Maryland’s South River, our Anchor Yacht Basin marina is the perfect starting point for getting out and exploring the Chesapeake Bay. Feeling adventurous? You’ll have easy access to some of the best fishing, crabbing and watersports in the region. For a more relaxed visit, enjoy stunning sunsets, tour historic lighthouses or head into town for some shopping and dining. Anchor Yacht Basin can accommodate transient vessels up to 72' in length and 22' in width with access to some wonderful amenities including shore power, fresh water, pump out service, complimentary WiFi, restrooms and showers.

For the off season, the marina offers winter storage including shrink wrap and service of engines, generators, AC systems, and plumbing. Additionally, bottom painting and fiberglass work is available. With high quality work, friendly staff, winterization and service options; this is the perfect location for your vessel any time of year.

If you are looking for an Annapolis area marina that is truly a full service marina and boat yard, Anchor Yacht Basin in Edgewater, MD is your answer. In business and family owned since June 1, 1965, Anchor Yacht Basin been providing top quality marine service as well as new and used boat sales to the entire Chesapeake Bay boating community for over five decades. The marina has 125 wet slips for boats ranging from 20 feet up to 80 feet, which are available for annual rental as well as transient usage. Current transient rates are $1.00 per foot LOA and either $8.00 per day for 30-amp, or $12.00 per day for 50-amp electric service, (transient rates subject to change without notice). All annual slips include fresh water and metered electric service.

Anchor Yacht Basin is a factory trained and authorized dealer for Cummins, Onan, Volvo, Kohler, Westerbeke, Crusader, and PCM. In addition we also have a large selection on marine parts, hoses, starters, alternators, pumps, impellers, and filters in stock.

 Anchor Yacht Basin provides a fully equipped fuel dock equipped with gas, diesel, pump-out service, as well as ice and boat supplies available at the fuel dock, as well as there is a full service marine store and parts counter also located on the premises.

Chesapeake bay charter fishing.

The Chesapeake Bay is largest estuary (area where fresh river water mixes with tidal salt water) in North America.  The waterways cover over 64,000 square miles of watershed and includes parts in Maryland, Virginia, New York, Pennsylvania, Delaware, West Virginia and Washington, DC.

There is a wealth of sport fishing opportunities on the Chesapeake Bay including striped bass (rockfish), bluefish, drum (red and black), speckled trout, weakfish, flounder, spot,  white perch and croaker.  Penny Sue Charters is an experienced fishing charter near Annapolis, Maryland who can help you hook any of these species.  Penny Sue Charters stays up to date on the current regulations, reports and resources for fishing on the Chesapeake Bay in Maryland waters.

Catch Maryland Striped Bass (aka Rockfish) with Capt. Mike

Striped bass, also referred to as rockfish, are the top recreational sportfish in the Chesapeake Bay. Early morning or evening are the ideal times to fish for these delicious creatures as long as the tide is moving.  Methods used to catch rockfish include Trolling, Chumming and Live Lining and are based on the time of the year.  When trolling we may also catch Bluefish or Spanish Mackerel with this method. The use of small spoons, bucktails & surge tubes with planers & inline weights is optimal for rockfish sportfishing around the middle region of the Chesapeake Bay.
