ON TEST. BENETTI FAST 125: A LUXURY 38-METRE YACHT WITH THE AGILITY OF AN OPEN BOAT

The main function of article titles is to draw readers’ attention. Although not deceptive, they generally include a little bit of stretch. However, in the case of the Benetti Fast 125 sea trial, the stretch is actually minimal. We tested the responsiveness of this yacht directly at sea when her 197 tons , pushed at the 22-knot top speed, seemed to disappear as soon as we touched the wheel in a tight left turn. The response of the hull was immediate and it progressively allowed us to intercept the waves raised by the wake the Benetti generated along her course.

Of course, handling is not the major quality required on a 38-metre recreational yacht featuring a beam of over 8 metres . However, perhaps for this very reason, this yacht astonishes when it shows such a natural handling during a sea trial experience like that we enjoyed along the shoreline of Viareggio.

More specifically, what we tested is the third hull of the Benetti Yachts Fast series  whose delivery to the American owner is due to take place in about one month. Meanwhile, hull number 7 of the Fast 125 series is currently under construction in the Benetti’s Viareggio-based production site.

Hull lamination process and fitting are expected to take about three and 18 months respectively, at least according to the lead time Andrea Moschese, Benetti Yachts Product Manager , gave us when he explained that the shipyard’s production capacity for this model is of two hulls a year.

This third hull includes some very interesting characteristics . The first of them concerns the upper decks, or better, the materials which they are made of. The two superstructures are indeed made of carbon and epoxy resin , a choice which has allowed a 40% reduction in their weight. For example, the second superstructure (the highest one) weights just 4,000 kg. It’s so light that, during the implementation process in the rest of the hull, wind provoked a number of difficulties. The perfect hull-deck connection is another key element of this yacht. Superstructures are, in fact, joined to the hull and to each other by the use of glues. No screw has been employed , in line with the aim of save weight in the upper parts.

Another essential factor concerns the hull . Like the other models of the Fast 125 series, the Skyler, too, has a D2P (Displacement to Planing) hull , equipped with a wave-piercer bow, specifically designed to combine the advantages of a displacement hull at low speeds with those of a planing hull at high speeds providing with great hydrodynamic efficiency and considerable fuel saving.

Now, let’s deal with what is probably the most interesting element offered by this yacht: the Azipull Carbon 65 propulsion system. Specifically designed and developed by Rolls-Royce for the Benetti Fast 125 series, it’s a new generation system aimed for fast yachts with a typical size of 100-150 feet which implies many advantages. First of all, composite materials have substantially reduced the propulsion system’s weight: the weight of the inboard part is approximately 1,150kg while the weight of the underwater part is approximately 1,650kg including propellers . This innovation has also allowed for a better vessel layout with larger volumes in the astern garage along with excellent manoeuvring capabilities both in navigation and while docking.

Exterior design of this yacht preserves the same lines of the previous models. The Skyler has sporty streamlined lines especially in the bow section where the Italian designer Stefano Righini has used long horizontal windows.

Equipped with a wet bar, the astern swimming platform suggests the idea of a separate independent area. The laterally opening garage leaves the aft area free for guests by creating a first living deck.

The lower deck immediately makes clear the concept of the exterior layout. The idea was to create four distinct areas devoted to the sea and on-board living and a sort of path through such different environments which seem to suggest completely different on-board lifestyles.

Lateral stairways lead to a first exterior deck which, in its turn, gives access to the saloon . This area is furnished with a large sofa facing a low coffee table and two armchairs. This space leads to the upper deck, where the owner asked for a large handcrafted teak dining table decorated with glass and steels details.

The sun deck above is equipped with a wet bar, some sofas and a large luxurious dinette. The arrangement and size of all these environments and their furniture create different, although consistent, atmospheres within the same area which make guests live different experiences on board.

Another area for relaxing, equipped with a pool, is positioned in the large bow section, on the same level of the pilot’s house.

A strong synergy between Benetti’s in-house design department and Redman Whiteley Dixon has generated the interior design concept in terms of architecture, materials – thai wood, ebony, Tanganyika frisé wood, glossy nichel details and a variety of leathers – and technological solutions, such as the care in preventing  both furniture and carbon used for superstructures from coming into reciprocal contact and the use of special insulating materials to avoid vibrations . If this is the heart and philosophy of the project, the owner has also required some typically American elements and details for his yacht.

Guest cabins – three double ones and one with twin beds – are all located on the lower deck and benefit from a breath-taking view on the sea. Each cabin has different coloured leather ceiling and is equipped with an en-suite bathroom and furnished with luxurious materials, such as ebony and Tanganyika wood.

The full-beam elegant owner’s cabin is on the main deck. It’s a real suite, equipped with armchairs and walk-in closets. The two en-suite bathrooms – one with shower box and the other with bathtub – are entirely lined in onyx. Lateral windows become two spectacular balconies through an opening mechanism which can be operated by remote.

Three distinct cabins in the bow section are reserved for crew members . On the main deck,  the saloon is especially bright and luminous thanks to its floor-to-ceiling windows and a generous use of glass that let natural light flood into the light-toned space. In the middle, a large dining table, located next to the galley, can seat ten people. Next to the entrance of the pilot’s house there’s another relaxing area equipped with a gym and a spa .

The typical emotion of the great – equally funny – events is in the air at the quay in Viareggio. The Skyler has to board 34 passengers in total. Most of them are journalists coming from all around the world. Once boarded, the test starts even before sailing off with a tour guided by Andrea Moschese. The aim is to explain the technological and creative effort underlying the project and the two-year work of Benetti’s staff in order to give a frame to a painting whose beauty would otherwise risk remaining abstract. The yacht is the clear expression of the thoughts, eyes and hands through which boat industry manages to create and combine ideas with design accuracy.

When the captain drives this Benetti 38-metre yacht out of the narrow channels in the port of Viareggio by the simple use of the joystick, we hardly realize that we’re moving: vibrations are totally absent to the advantage of silence and fluidity.

Once at sea, the two MTU (12V 2000 M94) 2,636 hp diesel engines  deploy their quiet power. We’re in the pilot’s house, where we hardly manage to appreciate the sense of speed because of an almost total silence. At 1,600 engine revolutions, the yacht already sails at 14 knots. Progression in water is linear , as obvious on a yacht of this size. At 2,000 revolutions, cruising speed reaches 16.3 knots. The hull gives an extraordinary sensation of stability even at top speed (21.8 knots at 2,450 revolutions).

With 30,000 litre fuel capacity, the yacht has a maximum range of about 1,500 nautical miles at 12 knots . The pleasure of sailing on a recreational ship featuring the same agility as an open boat is guaranteed for three days.

Conditions of the sea trial.  The test has been carried out along the shoreline of Viareggio, on flat sea and windless day with half-full water and fuel tanks and 34 passengers on board.

INSPIRATION and all other yachts in the Benetti Fast 125 are driven by Rolls Royce Azipod drives, which add both speed and range to their repertoires. Motor yacht for sale INSPIRATION boasts a range of 2000 miles at 10 knots, which is then complemented with a WOT of more than 22 knots. The yacht also features an innovative _ “wave-piecer” on the bow, which adds efficiency, and also keeps her flat while at speed. To ensure stability and comfort, INSPIRATION is outfitted with CMC electric Zero Speed stabilizers as well as an upgraded CMC bow thruster.

Built in 2017, INSPIRATION shows in immaculate condition thanks to constant and consistent upkeep and maintenance. In 2021, INSPIRATION’s bottom, Azipods, underwater lights and much more equipment were serviced at Lauderdale Marine Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

The interior spaces of Benetti yacht INSPIRATION are airy and welcoming with light oak woods contrasted with dark trim. Rich, sumptuous furniture and carpets add a sense of comfort and luxury. INSPIRATION offers a beamy main salon and formal dining room thanks to her 28-foot beam. The upper deck skylounge has massive windows, a bar, an 85-inch 4K surround sound TV and a fully opening window wall leading to an upper deck cockpit. Thoughtful design during build provided a separate gym next to the sky lounge. It features an enormous window and a TV. It is next to a convenient dayhead.

The yacht sleeps 11 guests in four resplendent staterooms. The master suite is located on the main deck. It features a his-and-hers en-suite bathroom with a full bathtub and a large shower. It also has port and starboard one-button terraces that are easily utilized by the owner without the assistance of the crew. The yacht’s additional staterooms include queens and a twin with a Pullman. All guest cabins feature en-suite heads. Three crew cabins and a captain’s cabin next to the wheelhouse accommodate the yacht’s eight crewmembers.

INSPIRATION is instantly recognizable as a classic Benetti, yet she has a modern edge that hints at her turn of speed. Like all Benetti yachts, INSPIRATION has wide and safe walk-around teak decks on all deck surfaces. Light grey caulk emphasizes the modern nature of this fast Benetti. The aft deck is outfitted with a large U-shaped seating area and two high-style, comfortable chairs. The skylounge aft features a round dining table with blue enamel lazy-Susan with Glyn Peter Machin chairs. Also found here are a buffet cabinet with a fridge and ice maker and a suspended outdoor TV. The yacht’s sundeck is enormous. It features a glass and stainless observation bar with three stools forward and a full bar with Glyn Peter Machin bar stools, fridge, icemaker, and two Gaggenau Grills. A 55-inch 360-degree rotation TV sits between the dining area with a convertible table and the sunpads fully aft. The yacht’s foredeck features a large U-shaped seating element with a table, which is complemented by two enormous sunpads, flanking a dipping Jacuzzi. A beach club with a massive teak beach is equipped with a fridge and icemaker, which sits astride a 6-foot-deep locker for toy storage. A sculptural stainless-steel shower and fitting join a swim ladder and tender cleats in the beach area.

The yacht’s starboard side garage holds a 5.35 Williams diesel tender and two Spark PWCs and has an integral fueling station.

In addition to having Rolls Royce Azipod drives, the Fast 125 innovated a “wave-piecer” on the bow, which adds efficiency, and also keeps the 125 nice and flat at speed. 

INSPIRATION's interior is an airy light oak with dark contrast trim. Rich and luxurious furniture, and carpets add a sense of comfort and luxury.  

The 28’ beam and carbon fiber superstructure allows for enormous windows in all areas, and a noticeably higher ceiling.

The full beam Sky Lounge with massive windows, a bar, an 85” 4K TV with surround sound, and a fully opening window wall leads to the upper deck cockpit and creates a large shared space for beautiful days.

The on-deck Master Cabin features ensuite his and hers, with port and starboard fully automated private balconies.

Three guest cabins with Queen beds, and a fourth cabin with twin beds and a pullman all featuring ensuite are located on the lower deck.

A 55” 360 degree rotation TV sits between the dining area with convertible table, and the sunpads fully aft.  

Forward, on the bow, a U shaped seating element with table is complemented with two large sunpads, flanking a Jacuzzi. 

The beach club is huge teak beach, equipped with fridge and icemaker sits astride a 6’ deep locker for storage of toys. A sculptural stainless steel shower and fitting join a swim ladder, and tender cleats in the beach area.

The Fast 125 is one of the latest models in the Benetti Class range. Built for speed, the concept features next-generation technology and lower fuel consumption. Her sleek exterior lines are the work of Stefano Righini, while the airy interiors stem from the drawing board of British studio of RWD. The upper deck houses a jacuzzi forward with two large sun loungers, perfect for getting some sun. The main deck features a full-beam master’s suite, with his and hers bathroom. Able to accommodate ten people in five cabins, she also has space for seven crew members.  The AZP C65 propulsion system, which was developed in collaboration with Rolls Royce, is the primary feature of the series. Benetti Fast 125 (2015) Description

The BENETTI FAST 125′ is the most popular of the Benetti Class Fast Displacement range and is influenced by her construction technology, styling and layout.

With a length of 38.1m and a beam of 8.45m, built in fibreglass and carbon composites at the Viareggio yard, the FAST 125′ is a three-decked (plus the sundeck) semi wide body yacht. The sportive exterior was designed by Stefano Righini with a widespread use of horizontal windows that accentuate the streamlining, together with a remarkable central structure in the side of the superstructure that covers the access stairway to the upper deck.

This BENETTI FAST 125 Superyacht for sale, was the first of the series. The furnishings, originally developed by the interior designer Alfred Karram Jr, are a referral to the very modern style, with a predominant use of grey wood next to the ceiling’s black and white. The crystal dining room table and steel detailing provide a clear sensation of technology.

The exterior of this BENETTI FAST 125 has four distinct areas devoted to the sea and on-board living. Astern on the upper deck we have a lounge with a custom divan over two meters long and almost five wide, while forward a swimming pool and area for relaxing are added to the traditional sun-deck. The original Owner also specifically requested that the deck be equipped with an external steering position.

The beach area has its own bar and is completely dedicated to enjoying the sea, thanks to the non-intruding lateral garage opening.

The exterior spaces are finished in a special grey and white gel coating that adds a special brilliance to the entertaining areas. The teak flooring is designed to respect the angular geometries of the superstructure and hull. This is evident in the direction of the planking that consistently flows in a parallel direction to the angle of the bow. The starboard and port side planks all converge into one centre plank that serves as a visual spine that runs the entire length of the boat.

The interior layout features four suites for eight guests, plus the full beam Owner’s apartment on the main deck. The Captain will have a crew of eight for running the yacht and catering to the guests.

On the main deck, the cockpit is furnished with a settee, tables and two armchairs, and the guests move to the main salon through a large sliding crystal door.

Upon entering the saloon, the black, grey, and white book-matched granite floor creates a grand palatial entrance into the space. An intricately designed multi-tiered ceiling that is finished in alternating polished and matte grey lacquer delineates the furnished spaces below. The eye is then immediately directed to a deeply textured circular relief painting that is finished in a brilliant crimson medium. This piece of art seemingly floats against a striking black and silver aluminium tiled wall, creating a dramatic backdrop for the Dining room. A custom designed dining table base of sleek juxtaposed polished stainless-steel columns support the crystal glass tabletop. All of the walls throughout are comprised of a cool grey stained exotic wood panelling that fully envelopes the entire space. The welcoming sofa seating is adorned with fine leather hides, set off by a brilliant textured fabric.

The day bathroom is done in backlit sheets of resin encased stone, creating a beautiful visual effect.

The main staircase appears as a beautiful waterfall providing access to the wheelhouse and gymnasium above, and the VIP and guest suites below. Thick black leather treads softly flow over the custom designed molten glass risers, that when backlit, act as a stunning light source at night.

Moving further forward we reach the Owner’s apartment, composed of a spacious dressing room, his bedroom with a worktable, a small salon and two bathrooms, his and hers, separated by a large shower in granite and mosaics.

The Master suite features an upholstered suede accent wall, designed in alternating trapezoidal shapes. The LED TV is inset into a highly textured resin panelled wall, coloured in different hues of cool blue, black and grey, with scattered ascents of silver and white flecks. The King size bed is shroud in soft grey leather, outfitted with sumptuous black satin linens, finished in a highly textured bed cover and pillows. A custom designed desk and coffee table continue the stainless-steel and glass motif shared by other tables throughout.

The design also foresees two large glass walls on either side that provide a perfect visual and natural light combination.

The galley was very much appreciated by the Owner, with a country kitchen equipped with a professional cooking area completely separate from a second area with a large table for the crew mess, but that can also be used as an extra space for the Owner and an extension of the main kitchen.

If the exterior of the upper deck is completely dedicated to the sun and relaxation, it has a very original interior layout. Indoors, you will find here a gaming area and comfortable sofas for the media room. A bent glass screen wall serves as a sculptural entrance into the wheelhouse.

Dropping below to the lower deck, a central lobby leads to the four guest cabins. The two VIP queen size cabins are towards the stern, while the remaining two have twin berths with additional Pullman bunks. All have their own private bathroom. Farther forward we have the laundry and crew area.

The performance of the BENETTI FAST 125’s D2P-Displacement to Planing® hull form with wave piercer is also equipped with an innovative series of Azipods. During sea trails performance was better than expected with a top speed of 24 knots, two more than were theorized in design.

Her revolutionary hull form allows the Owner to use the yacht both in displacement mode with low fuel consumption for slow deliveries and at higher speeds in complete comfort. The quiet ride was obtained through the use of her special propulsion system which allows the engine room to be placed farther aft, providing increased isolation for the guest cabins. The FAST 125′ was awarded the RINA Comfort Class classification, which proves how silent and smooth her ride is.

The yacht’s excellent performance is also due to the lightness of the hull, thanks to the introduction of fibreglass and carbon fibre in the superstructure. This intelligent combination gives the yacht a 40% lighter weight when compared to traditional structures, where light weight equals improved performance.

Bridge/Skylounge Deck:

• This deck is a beautiful combination of design elements that allows you to easily connect the large upper aft deck and the full-beam skylounge with a series of connected full height sliding glass doors. With the glass closed, you have two separate areas, one air-conditioned with gaming table and media room and one with fresh air, that both have beautiful views across the horizons. With the glass doors open, you have a massive deck capable of hosting any number of guests
• On the upper aft deck, beautiful freestanding settees can be used for relaxing or sunbathing. Just under the covered area is a large dining table that can be expanded to accommodate up to 12 guests
• The wheelhouse is very well-designed with state-of-the-art equipment, excellent visibility, and substantial space for crew on watch. In addition to a full suite of navigation and communication equipment for full commercial operation of the yacht, the Captain’s Quarters are located conveniently nearby with a full berth and en-suite bathroom

Forward Sundeck:

• The forward sundeck is a feature not commonly found on yachts of any size. Effectively a 5th sundeck for the guests, the unique feature of the area is the Jacuzzi that is built into the middle of a massive outside lounge area. This sun deck is perfect for privacy when backed into ports around the Mediterranean. It is easily covered with umbrella-style shades to filter the sun on hot days, or it can be left uncovered for those seeking full sun
• Guests can enjoy a massive sundeck, featuring a full service wet bar. In addition to the five built-in barstools, the large cushioned teak settees on the starboard side are a perfect place to enjoy a cocktail and watch game on the 42-inch flat screen behind the bar. Two multi-function tables that have the capability to be expanded and raised/lowered to suit any occasion, complement the settees. An additional Jacuzzi was fitted aft in 2021 and a retractable awning, built into the fiberglass hardtop, allows you to enjoy this area in sun or shade as preferred. Benetti Fast 125 sea trial, a very nimble superyacht

A 38-metre yacht with the agility of an open boat

The main function of article titles is to draw readers’ attention. Although not deceptive, they generally include a little bit of stretch. However, in the case of the  Benetti Fast 125   sea trial , the stretch is actually minimal. We tested the  responsiveness of this yacht  directly at sea when her  197 tons , pushed at the 22-knot top speed, seemed to disappear as soon as we touched the wheel in a tight left turn. The response of the hull was immediate and it progressively allowed us to intercept the waves raised by the wake the Benetti generated along her course. 

Of course, handling is not the major quality required on  a 38-metre recreational yacht featuring a beam of over 8 metres . However, perhaps for this very reason, this yacht astonishes when it shows such a natural handling during a  sea trial  experience like that we enjoyed along the shoreline of Viareggio.

More specifically, what we tested is  the third hull of the Benetti Yachts Fast series  whose delivery to the American owner is due to take place in about one month. Meanwhile,  hull number 7 of the Fast 125 series  is currently under construction in the Benetti’s Viareggio-based production site.

Hull lamination process and fitting are expected to take about three and 18 months respectively, at least according to the lead time  Andrea Moschese, Benetti Yachts Product Manager , gave us when he explained that the shipyard’s production capacity for this model is of two hulls a year. 

This third hull includes  some very interesting characteristics . The first of them concerns the upper decks, or better, the materials which they are made of. The two  superstructures  are indeed made of  carbon and epoxy resin , a choice which has allowed a 40% reduction in their weight. For example, the second superstructure (the highest one) weights just 4,000 kg. It’s so light that, during the implementation process in the rest of the hull, wind provoked a number of difficulties. The perfect  hull-deck connection  is another key element of this yacht . Superstructures are, in fact, joined to the hull and to each other  by the use of glues. No screw has been employed , in line with the aim of save weight in the upper parts.

Another essential factor concerns the  hull . Like the other models of the Fast 125 series, the Skyler, too, has a  D2P (Displacement to Planing) hull , equipped with a  wave-piercer bow, specifically designed to combine the advantages of a displacement hull at low speeds with those of a planing hull at high speeds providing with great hydrodynamic efficiency and considerable fuel saving. 

Now, let’s deal with what is probably the most interesting element offered by this yacht: the  Azipull Carbon 65  propulsion system. Specifically designed and developed by  Rolls-Royce  for the Benetti Fast 125 series, it’s a new generation system aimed for fast yachts with a typical size of 100-150 feet which implies many advantages. First of all,  composite materials  have substantially reduced the propulsion system’s weight: the weight of the inboard part is approximately  1,150kg  while the weight of the underwater part is approximately  1,650kg including propellers . This innovation has also allowed for a better vessel layout with larger volumes in the astern garage along with excellent  manoeuvring capabilities both in navigation and while docking. 

Exterior design of this yacht preserves the same lines of the previous models. The Skyler has  sporty streamlined lines  especially in the  bow section  where  the Italian designer Stefano Righini  has used long  horizontal windows.

Equipped with a wet bar, the astern  swimming platform  suggests the idea of a separate independent area.  The laterally opening garage  leaves the aft area free for guests by creating a first living deck.

The lower deck immediately makes clear the concept of the exterior layout. The idea was to create  four distinct areas  devoted to the sea and on-board living and a sort of path through such different environments which seem to suggest  completely different on-board lifestyles.

Lateral stairways lead to a  first exterior deck which, in its turn, gives access to the saloon . This area is furnished with a  large sofa facing a low coffee table  and two armchairs. This space leads to the upper deck, where the owner asked for a large  handcrafted teak dining table  decorated with glass and steels details.

The sun deck above  is equipped with a wet bar, some sofas and a large luxurious dinette. The arrangement and size of all these environments and their furniture create  different, although consistent, atmospheres  within the same area which make guests live different experiences on board.

Another area for relaxing, equipped with a pool, is positioned in the large bow section, on the same level of the pilot’s house.

A strong synergy between Benetti’s in-house design department and  Redman Whiteley Dixon  has generated the interior design concept in terms of architecture, materials –  thai wood, ebony, Tanganyika frisé wood, glossy nichel details   and a variety of leathers  – and technological solutions, such as the care in preventing  both furniture and carbon used for superstructures from coming into reciprocal contact and the use of special insulating materials  to avoid vibrations . If this is the heart and philosophy of the project, the owner has also required some typically American elements and details for his yacht. 

Guest cabins – three double ones and one with twin beds –  are all located on the lower deck and benefit from a breath-taking view on the sea. Each cabin has different coloured leather ceiling and is equipped with an en-suite bathroom and furnished with luxurious materials, such as ebony and Tanganyika wood.

The full-beam elegant owner’s cabin is on the main deck. It’s a real suite, equipped with armchairs and walk-in closets. The  two en-suite bathrooms – one with shower box and the other with bathtub  – are entirely lined in onyx. Lateral windows become  two spectacular balconies through an opening mechanism which can be operated by remote. 

Three distinct cabins  in the bow section are reserved for  crew members . On the main deck,  the  saloon  is especially bright and luminous thanks to its floor-to-ceiling windows and a generous use of glass that let  natural light  flood into the light-toned space. In the middle, a large dining table, located next to the galley, can seat ten people. Next to the entrance of the pilot’s house there’s another relaxing area equipped with a  gym and a spa .

The typical emotion of the great – equally funny – events is in the air at the quay in Viareggio. The Skyler has to board 34 passengers in total. Most of them are journalists coming from all around the world. Once boarded, the test starts  even before sailing off  with a tour guided by Andrea Moschese. The aim is to explain the technological and creative effort underlying the project and the two-year work of Benetti’s staff in order to give a frame to a painting whose beauty would otherwise risk remaining abstract. The yacht is the clear expression of the  thoughts, eyes and hands through which boat industry manages to create  and combine ideas with design accuracy.

When the captain drives this Benetti 38-metre yacht out of the narrow channels in the port of Viareggio by the simple use of the joystick, we hardly realize that we’re moving:  vibrations are totally absent to the advantage of silence and fluidity. 

Once at sea, the  two MTU   (12V 2000 M94) 2,636 hp diesel engines  deploy their quiet power. We’re in the pilot’s house, where we hardly manage to appreciate the sense of speed because of an almost total silence. At 1,600 engine revolutions, the yacht already sails at 14 knots.  Progression in water is linear , as obvious on a yacht of this size. At 2,000 revolutions,  cruising speed  reaches 16.3 knots. The hull gives an extraordinary sensation of stability even at top speed (21.8 knots at 2,450 revolutions).

However, it’s during a tight left turn that the agility of the Benetti 125 Fast astonishes everyone. Although justified by the propulsion system,  responsiveness is amazing . Unlike traditional in-line propulsion systems, i-pods are incredibly more responsive. However, these performances are made possible not only by the  Azypull Carbon 65  but also by the  hull design , which follows the thrust of the two engines. 

With 30,000 litre fuel capacity, the yacht has a  maximum range of about 1,500 nautical miles at 12 knots . The pleasure of sailing on a recreational ship featuring the same agility as an open boat is guaranteed for three days. 

Conditions of the sea trial.  The test has been carried out along the shoreline of Viareggio, on flat sea and windless day with half-full water and fuel tanks and 34 passengers on board.

Exploring Siberia: Tomsk

Tomsk is a city and the administrative center of Tomsk Oblast, Russia, located on the Tom River. One of the oldest towns in Siberia, Tomsk celebrated its 400th anniversary in 2004. The oldest in Siberia educative, scientific and innovative center: there are 9 universities, 15 research institutes, 6 business incubators and technology development special economic zone.

Tomsk was established under a decree from Tsar Boris Godunov in 1604 after Toyan, the Tatar duke of Eushta, asked for the Tsar's protection against Kirghiz robbers. The Tsar sent 200 Cossacks to construct a fortress on the bank of the Tom River, overlooking what would become the city of Tomsk. Toyan ceded the land for the fortress to the Tsar.

Today Tomsk has a population of around 500,000,  every sixth person is a student , coming from all over Siberia, Central Asia and even the European part of Russia. Due to this fact, Tomsk probably has a bigger proportion of foreign language speakers than any other Siberian city. Recently Tomsk took the 2nd place as the Russia's most comfortable city . The appealing combination of detailed 'wooden lace' mansions and some extremely old and attractive commercial buildings contrast with Tomsk's more modern outlook and approach to life today.
