At 90.1m/295'7", iconic charter yacht Phoenix 2 features a compelling line-up of living areas and modern amenities and abounds in luxury and comfort

Inspired by the New York skyline, Phoenix 2 was built by the German shipyard Lurssen, and delivered in 2010. At 90.1m (295.7ft) the yacht is the biggest designed by Winch Design. The yacht features a 5.7m (18.7ft) phoenix figurehead that rises from the bow like the eagles mounted on the Chrysler building.

Exterior Design

Her exterior incorporates both elegant and streamlined arrowhead design lines that are complemented by more than 100 metres of polished stainless steel handrails uniquely shaped and installed. Her sundeck offers a generous swimming pool with separate Jacuzzi and an exterior cinema.

Interior Design

On the inside, Andrew Winch Designs created a Deco bygone era interior with inspiration from the early 20th century. The imaginative use of furnishings, fabrics and furniture influenced by the New York 1930's era, is incorporated into her unique general arrangement which has been carefully designed to provide the clients with exactly the style and practicality of the yacht they require.

Guest Accommodation

Built in 2010, Phoenix 2 offers guest accommodation for up to 12 guests in 7 suites comprising a master suite located on the main deck, two VIP cabins, three double cabins and one cabin that can operate as twin or double. The supremely spacious full beam master suite features extensive storage space provided by the dressing room benefits from a his and her bathroom. There are up to twenty-eight crew members on board to provide outstanding service on your charter.

Onboard Comfort & Entertainment

On your charter, you'll find plenty to keep you busy and entertained such as a piano, perfect for creating a relaxed atmosphere for you and your guests. For those looking to unwind after a long day of exploration on the water, you will find a dedicated and comfortable movie theatre. If you're in need of indulgence, the beauty salon offers a range of treatments to pamper and restore. Visit the sauna and disconnect in peace and quiet and in addition for the ultimate relaxation experience, she plays host to a luxury spa. Take a plunge in the pool under the sun or elsewhere, head to the beach club and take advantage of indoor-outdoor living and entertaining. A gym with all the latest equipment is available for a good work out or soak up the bubbles in style in the deck jacuzzi.

Phoenix 2 benefits from some excellent features to improve your charter such as an elevator, making any part of the yacht quickly and easily accessible. A separate crew passageway offers you the option of peace and quiet on your charter and in addition at night, guests can enjoy a mesmerizing light spectacle in the water thanks to underwater lights. Take advantage of the on board Wi-Fi and stay connected at all times or elsewhere, you can stay comfortable on board whatever the weather, with air conditioning during your charter.

Performance & Range

Built with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, she offers greater on-board space and is more stable when at anchor thanks to her full-displacement hull. Powered by twin MTU engines, she comfortably cruises at 14 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 18 knots with a range of up to 6,000 nautical miles from her 205,000 litre fuel tanks at 12 knots. Phoenix 2 features at-anchor stabilizers providing exceptional comfort levels.

Onboard Phoenix 2 has a large selection of toys and accessories to keep you and your guests entertained on the water throughout your stay. Principle among these are Flyboards for soaring over the water or swimming like a dolphin. Take to the sea on the Jet Skis offering you power and control on the water. Additionally, there are towable toys offering fun and adventure. If that isn't enough Phoenix 2 also features waterskis, a Kite Surfer, a seabob, wakeboards, kayaks and much more. When it comes to Tenders, Phoenix 2 has you covered - with four tenders, including a 10.06m/33' Delphia Limo Tender.

Phoenix 2 is available upon request for charter this winter. She is already accepting bookings this summer for cruising in the Mediterranean.

New York and its skyline were the inspiration for this yacht’s styling, from the Empire State skyscrapers on the bar stools in the sky lounge bar, lit by uplighters reminiscent of the torch held by the Statue of Liberty, to the firebird figurehead that looks as if it may have flown in from the Chrysler Building. Everything, from the door handles to the cutlery, is hand-made, each a work of art in its own right.

From the ballroom, move aft past the full-height windows, circular lounge and onto the aft deck, where a spiral staircase leads up to the upper deck and the emphasis on good times continues. Past the buffet lounge is a winter garden with guest dining in open air or climate control, as conditions dictate, then continue down the boardwalk-style sidedecks to the jacuzzi lounge.

After a night of revelry, head to the bridge deck. Take the rivetted-aluminium spiral staircase or the elevator, which runs from the tank deck, home to the Radio City-inspired cinema with popcorn maker, to the bridge deck, and you’ll find a gym overlooking the aft helipad (there is a second on the foredeck). Sweat it out in the hammam or have a massage in the beauty salon. After that, the sun deck beckons, with its 7m (23ft) oval pool with skylights filtering natural light into the lobby below. Then soak up the sun or snooze in the shade on the sunpads and sun lounges.

To get ashore, take the elevator to the lower deck lobby where one of two 10m (32.8ft) tenders is waiting to take you wherever you want to go. For using an armada of watertoys however, the place to be is the 4m (13.1ft)-deep swim platform, complete with hydraulic bathing steps.

The full-beam owner’s suite, forward on the main deck, is similarly bewitching. Accessed from the main deck or via a glass spiral staircase from the owner’s private observation lounge and office on the upper deck. The circular sweep of the windows and their wraparound views is echoed in the black circle in the carpet and the recessed lighting overhead. A spectacular his-and-hers bathrooms in contrasting marbles features a bath and a steam shower and one of the walk-in wardrobes can be concealed should her new owner wish to operate her commercially.

With a range of 6,000nm and Quantum stabilisers, this impeccably maintained 2,667GT yacht, defies limits on what is possible.

The principal owner was heavily involved in the boat’s design. Though he passed away a few years after taking delivery in May 2010, the yacht has remained in the family. Phoenix 2 was his second Winch-designed yacht, but his first new build.

The former, also named Phoenix , was penned for a different owner who had requested a Parisian art-deco theme. Phoenix 2 was the boat that he wanted to build, and New York was his art-deco city of choice.

“The owner was a powerful businessman and very proud of it,” says Dixon. “He wanted Phoenix 2 to reference the boom time of 1920s New York—the art-deco architecture and that period of industrialization. It was much stronger in character than his previous yacht.”

In a subtle nod to the Big Apple, the external side decks are large enough for two people to comfortably walk abreast, and the New York skyline is outlined in polished stainless-steel on the upper deck bar stools. A more overt example of the theme is the plated stainless-steel Phoenix sculpture on the bow, which is a direct representation of the eagles on the Chrysler building.

“The owner wanted his yacht to be longer than his friend’s, so we welded and bolted on a 16-foot phoenix figurehead on the bow,” Andrew Winch told Robb Report . “It’s absolutely enormous, weighs 5.5 tons and gave the owner the extra 16 feet he was looking for.”

The interior keeps to four main colors—black, cream, gold and burgundy—with high-gloss macassar wood and gold leaf used to reflect 1920s glamor.

Adjacent is a round room with a reinforced floor where a custom black-and-gold Steinway piano sits. Designed as a one-off, it has a phoenix emblazoned on its side and took two years to build. The crew of 28 include a pianist and guitarist, as well as a massage therapist and chocolatier.

“The owner was a consummate host and Phoenix 2 was all about dining, music and entertainment,” says Winch. “He liked to think that his dinner guests became the orchestra, while he was seated at the head as the conductor.”

The yacht also has a spa, gym and hammam for relaxation. A wine cellar is stocked with the finest Italian and Bordeaux wines. The owner’s love of art is evident in the yacht’s prized collection, including a Modigliani in one of the guest suites.

The art-deco theme continues in the lower-deck cinema. On the top deck is a second outdoor cinema and a swimming pool with portholes in the floor to allow natural light to fill the staterooms below. The forward master suite is spread across two levels.

On the main deck is the bedroom, dressing room and ensuite, with another elaborate mural and a vanity table with refrigerated cosmetic drawers. A private spiral staircase leads to the owner’s deck with an observation lounge and office where a desk made from high gloss macassar and mother of pearl inlay takes pride of place.

“The owner felt the panoramic views would be wasted on a master bedroom where he wouldn’t spend as much time,” says Dixon. “A private lounge gives him another level of privacy and is the room the family enjoy spending time in the most.”

One of the few changes made since the original design is an extension to the swim platform. Though the principal didn’t live to enjoy his yacht for as long as hoped, his family has cruised Europe and the Caribbean. “The yacht crosses the Atlantic every year,” Captain Ian Howcroft told Robb Report .

PHOENIX 2 is a 295' (90m) superyacht that has been designed for luxurious comfort and endless entertainment. With its striking exterior and impressive interior, it offers guests an unforgettable experience on the water.

The yacht boasts an expansive aft deck, providing guests with plenty of space to relax and enjoy the ocean breeze. With a large seating area, sun loungers and a Jacuzzi, the aft deck is the perfect spot for alfresco dining, soaking up the sun, or simply unwinding with a good book.

Inside, the main salon is equally impressive, with ample natural light flooding the space through large windows. A formal dining area is located aft and connects seamlessly with the main deck via curved sliding glass doors. A second versatile indoor area is found on the bridge deck in the sky lounge, where guests can enjoy panoramic views from an elevated aspect.

PHOENIX 2 can accommodate up to 12 guests across six luxurious staterooms, including a full-beam master suite with a private lounge, dressing room and en-suite bathroom. The VIP staterooms are located on the bridge deck and feature king-sized beds, en-suite bathrooms, and stunning views of the ocean. The remaining guest accommodation comprises two double staterooms and two twin staterooms, all with en-suite facilities.

One of the highlights of PHOENIX 2 is its sun deck, which features a large pool, sun loungers, and a bar. The sun deck is perfect for entertaining guests, with ample space for alfresco dining and relaxing in the sunshine.

On the sundeck aft, guests will find a second lounge area, complete with a fully equipped gym and a sauna. It features a cinema projector and drop-down screen, ideal for movie nights under the stars.

PHOENIX 2 also features a beach club, which serves as an approved RYA water sports center. The beach club provides guests with easy access to the water and offers an array of water toys, including a jet ski, sea kayaks, and paddleboards.

This luxurious 90.10-metre Lürssen yacht is decadent and fun, offering virtually every conceivable amenity, extravagant interiors and outstanding, flexible accommodation.

Interior Design & Engineering

PHOENIX 2 motor yacht has been immaculately maintained since her 2010 launch and was refitted in 2023/2024.

Her monochromatic interior, designed by Andrew Winch, is unrestrained in its pursuit of opulence. Gold tones and red furnishings add to the glamorous ambience. The main salon of the PHOENIX 2 yacht leads to a piano room with a Steinway grand piano and a separate dining room for lavish meals.

A total of 12 guests can be accommodated in seven cabins on this luxury superyacht. The master suite is outstanding: it’s a split-level apartment that is accessed by its own staircase and boasts a private terrace with a Jacuzzi and undisturbed views out to sea.

The rest of the party is split across three decks, which are all connected via a central elevator. The main deck is home to two double cabins located aft of the master, which can be converted into a family suite. The lower deck full-beam VIP suite can be divided into two separate doubles, while the remaining two VIP cabins on the upper deck feature their own spectacular terraces.

Yacht Facilities & Entertainment

The sun deck of the PHOENIX 2 yacht is home to a large oval pool that’s fanned by sun pads with a forward Jacuzzi and a lounge area located aft of the deck. It’s the ultimate spot to unwind in the sunshine and then cool off in the pool.

There are plenty of spaces to luxuriate over meals during your PHOENIX 2 yacht charter. The incredible inside/outside dining area has sliding glass screens for exceptional views, or you can head to the dining area for a formal dinner and then take a cocktail or two at the sit-up bar.

If you’re a movie buff, you’ll get to choose from a plush cinema room or your own cinema under the stars. But if you prefer to be active, you’ll find lots of gear in the fully equipped gym on the upper deck—or you can take your mat to the helipad and practice yoga in the shade of the awning. The sauna and treatment room will help melt away any post-workout aches and pains.

You can bask in the sunshine on the oversized swim platform while the crew sort out the huge collection of water toys for you. You’ll find supercharged Jet-skis, Seabobs, kayaks, paddleboards, a Flyboard, a Jetpack, and so much more just waiting to be played with.

When it’s time to head ashore, a Delphia limousine tender, a Delphia sports tender and a Sealegs amphibious tender will get you there. You can even use the beach BBQ and chair set up to enjoy an afternoon at a secluded sandy bay.

New York and its skyline were the inspiration for this yacht’s styling, from the Empire State skyscrapers on the bar stools in the sky lounge bar, lit by uplighters reminiscent of the torch held by the Statue of Liberty, to the firebird figurehead that looks as if it may have flown in from the Chrysler Building. Everything, from the door handles to the cutlery, is hand-made, each a work of art in its own right.

From the ballroom, move aft past the full-height windows, circular lounge and onto the aft deck, where a spiral staircase leads up to the upper deck and the emphasis on good times continues. Past the buffet lounge is a winter garden with guest dining in open air or climate control, as conditions dictate, then continue down the boardwalk-style sidedecks to the jacuzzi lounge.

After a night of revelry, head to the bridge deck. Take the rivetted-aluminium spiral staircase or the elevator, which runs from the tank deck, home to the Radio City-inspired cinema with popcorn maker, to the bridge deck, and you’ll find a gym overlooking the aft helipad (there is a second on the foredeck). Sweat it out in the hammam or have a massage in the beauty salon. After that, the sun deck beckons, with its 7m (23ft) oval pool with skylights filtering natural light into the lobby below. Then soak up the sun or snooze in the shade on the sunpads and sun lounges.

To get ashore, take the elevator to the lower deck lobby where one of two 10m (32.8ft) tenders is waiting to take you wherever you want to go. For using an armada of watertoys however, the place to be is the 4m (13.1ft)-deep swim platform, complete with hydraulic bathing steps.

The full-beam owner’s suite, forward on the main deck, is similarly bewitching. Accessed from the main deck or via a glass spiral staircase from the owner’s private observation lounge and office on the upper deck. The circular sweep of the windows and their wraparound views is echoed in the black circle in the carpet and the recessed lighting overhead. A spectacular his-and-hers bathrooms in contrasting marbles features a bath and a steam shower and one of the walk-in wardrobes can be concealed should her new owner wish to operate her commercially.

90m Lürssen Phoenix 2 for sale at Monaco Yacht Show under joint central agency

The 90.1-metre Phoenix 2 has become a joint central agency with Burgess and Cecil Wright . The yacht will be on display at the upcoming Monaco Yacht Show, taking the slot previously allocated to Kismet , which has now been sold .

Built of steel and aluminium by Lürssen and designed throughout by Winch Design , Phoenix 2 was delivered in 2010 and refitted in 2019.

Phoenix 2 accommodates up to 14 guests in seven cabins. The full-beam owner’s suite, forward on the main deck, is accessed from the main deck or by using a glass spiral staircase from the owner’s private observation lounge and office on the upper deck. The sun deck sports a seven-metre oval pool with skylights filtering natural light into the lobby below. There are two Jacuzzis, one of which is exclusively dedicated to the owner, and two helipads. An elevator takes guests to the lower deck lobby to embark on one of the two 10-metre tenders – one is a limousine and the other a sports boat. A four-metre deep swim platform has large hydraulically operated steps lowering into the water for easy access from the sea.

The Lloyd's Register-classed, 2,667GT yacht for sale has a cruising speed of 14 knots and maximum speed of 18 knots. Under twin 2,670hp MTU engines, the yacht's range is 6,000 nautical miles.

Phoenix 2 is asking €124,950,000 with VAT paid. She will be on display at the 2023 Monaco Yacht Show.
