There are a huge number of reputable luxury yacht charter companies and online platforms that allow you to book charters to different regions and destinations, as well as pick from a wide range of vessel types and sizes, from motoryachts to sailing boats to catamarans. If you’re considering chartering a luxury yacht for anything from a day through to several weeks, we’ve picked out three of the best online resources currently available.

Ritzy Charters

Ritzy Charters offer a huge variety of high-end yachts at different price points, with their listings including motorboats, catamarans/trimarans, monohulls and motor sailers. Booking on the Ritzy platform is very user-friendly, with users simply required to fill in a quirky booking complete with essential details about their trip, such as guest numbers, dates of travel, favoured itinerary, and special requests. You’re then sent a short-list of yachts based on your bespoke request.

Ritzycharters.com

A market leader in peer-to-peer boat rentals, SamBoat makes the rental process easy. You search for your ideal boat according to price, size, dates of travel and other requirements, then when you’ve found an available vessel that fits the bill you send a booking request to the owner. If the request is accepted, you pay your rental online, with the amount deposited to the owner on the first day of your rental. When the day comes, you board the boat and make sure it corresponds to the descriptions before signing on the dotted line and embarking on your charter adventure.

Samboat.com

A highly reputable global yacht charter company, Sailo invite boat owners and renters to search for charter companies and their vessels, with users able to select from vast numbers of bareboat and crewed yachts based on dates, destination, cost, boat size, and guest feedback. Users can also create custom searches based on their particular needs. When we looked for luxury yacht charters, we found hundreds of vessels. If you’re looking specifically for a catamaran, then, like Boatbookings, Sailo also has many of options.

KEY MARKET INSIGHTS

The global yacht charter market size was valued at USD 7.22 billion in 2022. The market is projected to grow from USD 7.59 billion in 2023 to USD 11.06 billion by 2030, exhibiting a CAGR of 5.5% during the forecast period.

A yacht charter is a service for hiring boats for recreational and leisure purposes. Yachts can be privately owned by individuals or companies or rented for charter. Professionally crewed yachts are equipped with luxurious amenities. These yachts are chartered for corporate and leisure purposes and offer a seamless luxury experience with the highest comfort and standards. Yachts are used for sailing and fishing in some parts of the world, especially in European countries. They offer all the benefits, from great adventures to total relaxation.

OEM constantly develops high-speed and luxury feature yachts to meet the increasing demand for marine tourism and water sports activities. Yacht rental companies also offer convenient booking of charter yachts through online platforms and mobile applications. Therefore, the market is expected to become popular in the coming years.

COVID-19 IMPACT

Decrease in Yacht Charter Demand Amid COVID-19 to Hamper Market Growth

The tourism segment witnessed a decline in growth during 2020 owing to adverse effects on the global tourism industry and a decline in the number of tourists visiting tourist places. The COVID-19 pandemic has severely impacted the travel and tourism industry, especially the yacht charter industry, which has stalled due to the rapid spread of the virus worldwide. This pandemic has caused vast uncertainty in the industry and a panic situation for all the members of the industrial value chain involved in it as they cannot forecast the resuming of the yacht rental business. Industry players are taking steps to overcome the uncertainty created by the pandemic, including safety and precautionary measures in charter contracts. However, people were optimistic that the charter market will recover soon once the pandemic eases. In 2022, the U.S. yacht sales started normalizing after witnessing solid growth in the past two years. In 2022, consumer spending patterns changed from yachting activities to other accessible activities, travel, music concerts, and sporting events.

In Europe, Asia Pacific, Latin America, and the Middle East & Africa, the growth of yacht charter slowed down during 2020 due to uncertainties. However, the market returned to normalcy and will show strong growth over the next few years.

Favorable Trends Associated with Marine Tourism and Private Island Resorts to Aid Market Augmentation

Marine tourism has a positive impact on economic growth in several ways. It also earns foreign exchange and contributes to government revenue. It creates jobs and makes an essential contribution to the local economy. In addition, it provides various sociocultural benefits such as strengthening communities and promoting sustainable tourism. Many countries worldwide are developing policies to strengthen the coastal tourism sector due to climate change and environmental degradation.

The maritime policy of the European Union supports the growth of coastal tourism and marine economic activity.

  • For example, in January 2021, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) finalized the Blue Economy Strategy Plan, 2021-2025 to accelerate the growth of the American Blue Economy. This strategy focuses on five divisions, ocean exploration, tourism and recreation, maritime transport, water sports competitiveness, and coastal resilience.

India also plans to develop 78 marine tourist attractions in the coming years. Such initiatives will encourage the growth of marine tourism in the future and thus support market growth.

DRIVING FACTORS

Growing Popularity of Recreational Yachting and Marine Tourism Activities to Aid Market Expansion

The increasing disposable income of customers and the growing inclination toward marine tourism and leisure activities, such as sailing, are aiding market expansion. Recreational boating has been gaining popularity for the past few years, paving the way for yacht rental services. Moreover, advanced booking systems are permitting customers to charter yachts at the time of booking flight tickets, which is ultimately propelling the growth of the market.

Beneficial government initiatives and programs to boost marine tourism are expected to spur market growth. For example, the Indian government will develop infrastructure and services to support local tourism and port city tours to encourage cruise travel and increase maritime tourists to 1.5 million by 2030-31. The Indonesian government has also updated its maritime tourism policy by abolishing the CAIT license (Indonesian Territorial Customs Authorization). The policy predicts a significant increase in yacht visits to Indonesia, generating over USD 500 million in revenues.

RESTRAINING FACTORS

High Costs of Yacht Charter to Hinder the Market Growth

Yacht has a base rate or a weekly rate for renting it. The cost of a yacht charter depends on several factors such as the type of yacht, crew required, charter destination, local taxes, and basic costs. Therefore, there is a wide range of basic rates for charters. Additionally, charter rates range from USD 10,000 per week for smaller sailing yachts and catamarans to USD 150,000 per week for the most luxurious motor superyachts. In addition, hidden costs, such as taxes and Value-Added Tax (VAT), insurance, crew gratuities, and meal prepayments, are not mandatory but cost approximately 15-30% of the base fare and are collected before the charter.

For instance, the Bahamas announced a new tax rate of 10% VAT for all foreign-flagged charter yachts. This will be enforced on all charter contracts signed after the 1st of July 2022. This new addition to the 4% charter fee will total an additional 14% cost. It is similar to an expense account the captain can access during the charter. Such cost is a barrier to many developing countries’ customers, further restraining the yacht charter market growth.

SEGMENTATION

By contract type analysis.

Bareboat Segment to Hold a Major Market Share Due to the Privacy Offered

Based on contract type, the market is segmented into bareboat and crewed. The bareboat segment holds the largest share of the global market in value due to various benefits such as more independence and privacy offered by bareboat compared to crewed boats . A bareboat charter is an arrangement in which an individual charters a vessel and steers the boat without other crew or services. The individual or group renting the boat from the owner is responsible for caring for the boat.

Many bareboat charter companies also offer courses to train a person in basic navigation skills and prepare for the bareboat charter. Sometimes, these companies also offer captain charters. Most chartered bareboat yachts are up to 40 meters in length. People typically rent bareboat yachts for fishing, sporting events, or sailing from one destination to another. Crewed is the fastest-growing segment. Rising demand for superyachts, increasing cruise line participation, and hybrid business models are the factors responsible for growth of this segment.

By Yacht Size Analysis

Up to 40m Segment to Capture the Largest Market Share Due to Affordability of Small Yacht Charters

Based on yacht size, the market is classified into up to 40m, 40 to 60m, and above 60m. The up to 40m segment accounts for the largest global market share. These yachts can be utilized for both personal activities in competitive and recreational boating activities purposes. The 40m charter has various advantages, including wind sailing capabilities that ensure wind direction and conserve fuel. End-users also favor yachts of up to 40m due to its affordability, low maintenance costs, fixed installation in shallow waters, and ease of use with low mooring costs.

Rapid urbanization, rising living standards, growing personal disposable incomes, and increasing upper-class population have increased individuals' ability to spend on luxury goods and leisure activities. Therefore, the yacht services market has also seen a significant increase in demand in recent years. Observed trends in yacht construction indicate that the average length of yachts is increasing by 3 cm each year. This is owing to the rising demand for superyachts and mega yachts in most developed countries and the overall surge in tourism in these regions. Therefore, the 40-60m segment is expected to grow significantly, while the above 60m segment exhibited the fastest growth rate during the forecast period.

By Yacht Type Analysis

Motor Yacht Segment Dominates the Market Owing to Demand for Recreational Activities

The market is segmented based on yacht type into motor yacht, sailing yacht, and others.

The motor yacht segment holds the largest share globally and is expected to retain its leading position in the market during the forecast period. This growth can be attributed to the growing demand for motor yachts for personal and recreational activities in various countries worldwide. Motor yachts offer several advantages such as enhanced speed, power, and the ability to cover longer distances in less time. Moreover, motor yachts can be sailed in shallow water, allowing customers to navigate almost all coastlines and narrow and shallow creeks. Furthermore, increasing sporting activities, boating events, and tournaments create high demand for motor yachts.

The sailing yachts segment is expected to show steady growth in the market owing to the growing demand for environment-friendly yachts among people. Fuel emissions are a major pollutant in modern times, and the yacht industry contributes a substantial amount of the same. Moreover, sailing yachts are cheaper than other yachts and can travel more distances than motor yachts.

By End-user Analysis

Leisure Segment to Account for the Largest Market Share Due to the Rising Number of High Net Worth Individuals

The market is further segmented into leisure, business, and others based on end-user.

The leisure segment held the major global market share in 2022 due to increased tourism. The increasing inclination toward luxury cruising drives the yacht rental industry, especially from High-Net-Worth Individuals (HNWI) and Ultra-High Net Worth Individuals (UHNWI) worldwide.

The emergence of new tourist destinations offering luxury cruises and beautiful scenery has encouraged wealthy and ultra-rich people worldwide to discover these tourist destinations. Moreover, leading companies focus more on providing enhanced and extensive luxury cruising for their customers by developing premium features such as infrastructure, internet facilities, and bars and restaurants, which is expected further to boost the yacht industry in the leisure segment.

The business segment is gaining popularity in the market as the yacht business is a simple concept and is structured much like any other profit-earning business. Higher-class individuals or high-tax payers are increasing their investment in yachts and operating them actively for profit through third-party management services or themselves. Significantly, the U.S. buyers who fall under the high-income tax brackets choose this ownership option.

For instance, in April 2020, MYSEA announced its appointment as the Global Charter Central Agent of M/Y FLEUR Yacht with several exceptional facilities such as a retractable roof, Jacuzzis, and outdoor cinema, among others.

The Best Yacht Charters You Can Book Around the World

Whether you’re looking for seven decks of entertainment, a family-friendly trip, or a diving-focused Caribbean voyage, you’ll find it here.

largest yacht charter companies

There are few experiences as luxurious and awe-inspiring as a yacht charter . You can explore the world at your leisure, spend quality time with friends and family in an intimate setting, and the service is second to none. We've rounded up the most exceptional new yacht charters to book around the world. They're sure to inspire your next voyage, whether you want to relax along the Amalfi Coast or explore remote corners of the globe.

In the yachting world, Loon is known for an exceptional array of water toys — perhaps the best in her class. There's a FunAir inflatable slide that goes from the third deck straight into the ocean, an in-water pool, and a luxurious 43-foot Everglades tender. You can hop on paddleboards, sea kayaks, Waverunners, or a Seabob to explore nearby islands and coves.

The adventurous can try kite surfing or Lift e-Foil surfboards, which seems effortless when you watch the crew fly past, but is actually quite challenging. Loon is also a scuba diver's dream. The crew has several master divers and dive instructors who can take you out each morning, and they have all of the equipment you need onboard. They can also certify new divers during the trip.

The 180-foot yacht has a staggering 1,100 gross tons of living space, elegant design, and an amiable and attentive crew. Loon has two master staterooms, including a unique one on the upper deck. It has wraparound windows that offer unparalleled views of the surroundings. There are two salons, including one with recliners and a projector for movie night, plenty of spaces for dining alfresco, and an oversized infinity-edge Jacuzzi with a wet bar nearby. Fancy a workout? Loon has a treadmill, exercise bike, rowing machine, and free weights in the beach club. You'll be hard-pressed to find better workout views than this.

The crew is absolutely lovely and specializes in setting up unique experiences. You might have a pizza night on board, a barbecue on a private beach, or sundowners at the Instagram-famous Loon Bar. The crew will even take you to a picture-perfect sandbar and serve you drinks as you loll in the warm water.

Loon is available for charter from IYC in the Bahamas, Caribbean, and Bermuda during the winter months and in the Mediterranean in the summer months. Rates begin at $325,000 a week plus expenses.

Nansen Explorer

For the ultimate Antarctica adventure, you can't beat a voyage aboard Nansen Explorer . This former research vessel has all of the technical features needed to safely explore one of the world's most remote and dramatic landscapes and, thanks to a retrofit in 2021, an ultra-luxe interior design that wouldn't look out of place in St. Tropez. For exploration, Nansen Explorer has an Ice-1A classed 236-foot hull and an ice-experienced captain and bridge team, which means she can go deeper into the ice than other polar-classed superyachts. There's a heli-deck with onboard fueling capabilities, so you can see the vast landscape from the sky, or even go heli-skiing. There are plenty of toys that allow you to get up close and personal with wildlife and nature, including kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, dive equipment, and Zodiacs.

The interiors are so stylish, modern, and well-appointed that you'll forget you're in the middle of Antarctica rather than at a swanky hotel. The ship originally accommodated 60 passengers, but now it holds just 12 guests in seven cabins, including an owner's suite and a VIP suite. Each cabin has large windows that showcase the stunning vistas outside the ship. The sumptuous Scandanavian-inspired decor features shades of grey and white, which reflect the surrounding environment. There's a cozy lounge with a bar and a fireplace, perfect for warming up after an excursion to see penguins or whales.

Nansen Explorer is available for charter from Plan South America in Antarctica. Rates begin at $340,000 a week and are all-inclusive.

Yachting in French Polynesia is always a blissful experience, but Dardanella takes relaxation to the next level with bespoke, wellness-focused charters planned by onboard wellbeing facilitator Ayumi Gallagher. The wellness experience is all-encompassing, including fresh, detoxifying food, mindfulness workshops, yoga sessions, Pilates, meditation, and massages alongside traditional yacht activities, like diving, surfing, and tender safaris exploring the pristine waters and nature of French Polynesia. The captain is also a qualified marine biologist and ecologist, so he's the perfect person to show you this unique environment. There are two dive instructors, 12 sets of dive gear, a Nitrox dive compressor, and underwater photography equipment, so you can capture the beauty underwater, too. As an expedition yacht, Dardanella is well-suited for exploring remote destinations. The 121-foot yacht was refit in 2018 and has five luxurious cabins.

Dardanella is available for charter from 37south in French Polynesia. Rates begin at $100,000 a week plus expenses.

With seven decks, there's something for everyone aboard Wheels . This massive yet elegant yacht measures 249 feet, weighs almost 2,000 gross tons, and has lots of standout amenities including a spacious cinema for eight guests, a huge aquarium, massage room with a dedicated onboard masseuse, air-conditioned gym, and the main salon converts to a disco complete with lights and a smoke machine for those late-night dance parties. The split-level master suite has panoramic views, a study, and plenty of space, and there are four spacious guest suites on the main deck. Outside, there are plenty of relaxation areas, including sunpads, a hot tub, several dining areas and bars, and an enviable water sports area with two Jet Skis, four wave runners, three seabobs, a luxurious tender, and plenty more toys. The crew is very active and can teach you to wakeboard, kitesurf, sail the new Hobie cat catamaran, or scuba dive. They can also lead yoga and fitness classes.

Wheels is available for charter from Fraser Yachts in the Caribbean. Rates begin at $680,000 a week plus expenses.

It's not uncommon for yacht charterers to "upgrade" their yachts year after year, chasing newer and bigger boats, which is makes Big Sky 's number of repeat bookings even more impressive. The 157-foot yacht has been a charter favorite since 2010, and she recently underwent a refit leaving her in immaculate condition. Big Sky can accommodate 10 guests in five staterooms, including a full-beam master that spans the width of the yacht, and there's plenty of room onboard to relax, including the main salon with large windows and a state-of-the-art TV system. The sky lounge is perfect for entertaining — it has an onyx bar and sliding windows that make you feel as if you are outside. Of course, if you do want to relax outdoors, there are three teak decks with space for dining and a large sundeck with a Jacuzzi, sun pads, couches, and a bar.

Big Sky is available for charter from Northrop & Johnson in the Bahamas. Rates begin at $180,000 a week plus expenses.

This glamorous new superyacht caused quite a stir when she debuted at the Monaco Yacht Show in September 2021. It's rare for a brand-new superyacht of this size to be available immediately for charter, so book your trip on Tatiana early. This 263-foot yacht can accommodate up to 12 guests, who are guaranteed impeccable service from the 20 crew members. She has a great selection of water accoutrements and a stunning design with a large amount of interior space, including a deck dedicated to the owner's suite. There are also two VIP staterooms, four double cabins, and a twin cabin. While away any rainy days in the movie room or shooting some pool. Tatiana also has a fabulous beach club with a large bathing platform, bar, and outdoor lounge.

Tatiana is available for charter from IYC in the Bahamas, Caribbean, and Bermuda during the winter months and in the Mediterranean in the summer months. Rates begin at €775,000 a week plus expenses.

Nour El Nil Meroe

Step back in time aboard Nour El Nil Meroe , a traditionally inspired Egyptian yacht full of modern amenities and luxurious design. Meroe is available for charter through Black Tomato, a top luxury travel company known for its expertly curated trips with exclusive experiences and a focus on local culture. Meroe is styled like a classic dahabiya boat, with authentic decor featuring whitewashed walls and linens alongside Parisian decor details. The VIP cabins have floor-to-ceiling windows that overlook the Nile — we can't think of a more fabulous way to have breakfast in bed — while the other cabins have large windows. The shaded roof terrace has plenty of spots for lounging and dining alfresco, and there's a cheery indoor salon with red-and-white striped decor and cozy couches. On your charter, you'll slowly sail down the Nile River from Luxor to Aswan. You can charter just the yacht voyage or book the Ultimate Egypt trip , which includes adventures on land as well as the yacht charter (think: private tours of the pyramids, exploring temples, or taking a jeep safari around Siwa).

El Nil and the Ultimate Egypt trip can be booked through Black Tomato . Rates begin at $5,800 a person.

The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection

One of 2022's most anticipated travel launches is the new The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection . While this is technically a small-ship cruise, every element has been designed to make you feel as if you are aboard a superyacht. The fleet will ultimately have three custom-built yachts, each with 149 suites. However, in 2022, the collection will launch with their first luxury vessel: Evrima . The suites all have private terraces, which isn't something you can expect aboard even the largest superyacht. And of course, the amenities are incredible. It has a beautiful spa, stunning marina terrace (set up like a yacht beach club), an infinity-edge pool, a large gym, and plenty of entertainment. The dining options are seemingly endless, including the main restaurant, the Evrima Room, S.E.A., which features a menu by acclaimed chef Sven Elverfeld of Aqua, Talaat Nam, a Southeast Asian spot, and several casual options.

The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection's inaugural voyage is set for May 2022 and pricing is dependent on the itinerary. Learn more about the trips here .

Originally launched by Turkish shipyard Halic Tersaneleri in 1997, superyacht Dream started out as a passenger vessel. With an extensive refit undertaken at Greek yard Chalkis Shipyards S.A. and a substantial interior overhaul by Ciarmoli Queda Studio (CQS), which was completed in July 2018, Dream has been transformed into a six-deck vessel of impeccable quality. The refit saw extensive changes to the exterior, including an extension to the bow, adding 13 metres to her original length of 93 metres. The result is a more streamlined shape and modern aesthetic. Dream’s interior offers 23 guest cabins, three formal dining rooms, a business centre, a wellness centre and two bars. CQS adopted a nautical theme for the design, which combines white marble, light-coloured woods, Grecian murals and white leathers to create an elegant and classical environment. This also includes the use of materials such as handmade carpets by Ferreira de Sa, veneers by Tabu and red carpazi marble floors. There is space for up to 28 crew on board. Dream is now the 37th largest yacht in the world.

Christina O

  • Canadian Vickers

One of the most famous society venues of the mid 20th century, the Christina O was launched in 1943 as a naval vessel by shipyard Canadian Vickers. Converted for Aristotle Onassis in 1954 by HDW, it was a hotbed of celebrity pleasures until Onassis’ death in 1975. Sold in 1998 to Greek shipowner John Paul Papanicolaou, it was then sent to Croatia for an extensive refit in 1999 (-2001), though many original features remain, such as the swimming pool’s copy of a Minoan mosaic from Knossos.

  • Golden Yachts

The highly-anticipated 94m O'Pari will be launching this year from Greek shipbuilders Golden Yachts' yard. This steel and aluminium build will be able to reach top speeds of 18 knots, and feature stunning interior design from Studio Vafiadis.

Lady S is a 93m motor yacht, due to launch in 2018 from Feadship in Kaag (Netherlands). The yacht's interior has been designed by Reymond Langton Design and has exterior styling by Michael Leach Design.

  • Neorion Shipyards Syros

Sistership to Delma, both of which were constructed for the late Greek billionaire Andreas Liveras who owned a large fleet of super yachts charted under his Liveras Yachts management. Luxurious, popular and extremely successful as a charter vessel, Alysia boasts, among other amenities, a large Jacuzzi, two outside bars, a cinema and a fast speed boat made specifically for diving away from the yacht.

  • Lurssen Yachts

This 84.3 metre luxury yacht was the first superyacht to be completed in Lurssen’s new floating dock at the yard’s Rendsburg facility. Phoenix 2 features exterior and interior design by Andrew Winch Designs.

Sail Greener is supported by our readers. When you buy through links on our site, we may earn an affiliate commission.

Are you looking for a charter, boat share, or boat rental company that provides sustainable “eco” options?

We couldn’t find good resources summarizing green yacht charter and boat share/rental companies, so we did our own research and summarize our findings below. We hope our list of green yacht charters and boat shares helps you to plan your next adventure .

THE QUICK STORY: If you are in a hurry, our winner is We Are On A Boat . Our recommendation for best large boat share company is Boatbooking.com .

We looked at the world’s largest boat charter companies and dozens of mid-sized companies. Companies with only motor yachts were not included. We also did not review the many excellent boat tour operators that offer activities like whale watching or puffin tours.

The article first summarizes growth trends in the yacht charter market. It also describes how these trends may influence the future of green yacht charters.

The size and growth of the yacht charter market: Implications for green yacht charters

The yacht charter market is large and growing. Research by Allied Market Research (AMR) valued the global yacht charter market at US$ 15 billion in 2018 and projected the market to grow to nearly US$ 28 billion by 2027, a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 15.0%.” 1 https://www.alliedmarketresearch.com/yacht-charter-market Grand View Research (GVR) valued the global yacht charter market size at US$ 6.5 billion in 2019 with a projected growth approaching US$ 10 billion by 2027, with a CAGR of 5.2% from 2020 to 2027. 2 https://www.grandviewresearch.com/industry-analysis/yacht-charter-market

There are many assumptions that go into these valuations, including how the market is defined and variables used to project growth. These assumptions will need to be adjusted because of COVID-19. But the bottom line is: This is a huge potential market. There is likely to be continued robust growth in coming years.

The reasons for the projected growth are varied. According to AMR and GVR the growth of the yacht charter market is driven by:

  • Growing tourism sector generally, including outdoor recreation
  • Improvised purchasing power across the globe and growth in number of high net worth individuals.
  • Increase in demand for leisure activities due to rise in disposable income and hectic lifestyles
  • The ease of booking a yacht has led to a rise in the popularity of yacht vacations
  • Increase in number of private islands on cruise itineraries
  • Use of alternative source of energy

This growth has environment costs. More mega yachts, people flying, fuel, emissions, and more waste is not good for the environment or people.

But change is in the air and water. A growing number of charter companies are recognizing that they need to do more to reduce their environmental impact.

The Oceanco NXT roundtable in October 2020 brought together leaders from the yachting, technology, and design world. Participants discussed how innovation and sustainability could transform the future of yachting and superyachts. Panelists also discussed supporting the goal of zero environmental impact. Giles Taylor, Global Vice President of Design at FAW Group, China’s oldest and largest automotive group, reportedly noted that society is on the cusp of change where sustainability is increasingly becoming a requirement for new customers. The “race is on”, he said, “the big brands in automotive are already competing, and the yachting industry is on the grid and ready to go.” 3 https://www.ypiyachts.com/en/news/industry/Oceanco-NXT

Indeed, the yacht charter and sharing market is diverse and there will be innovators and slower adopters. The International Yacht Brokers Association (IYBA) is the world's largest association for the yacht brokerage and charter industry. The IYBA has more than 1,500 members, and many more companies are not part of this association.

The yacht charter market is broadly segmented to target these different types of customers. These segments are based on: yacht size and type, geographic location, and type of experience.

  • Yacht size categories include large boats (e.g., over 50 m), medium boats (e.g., 30m to 50 m), and small sailboats (below 30m).
  • Yacht type categories include sailing yachts, motorized yachts, and other types of boats (e.g., inflatable boats). Within each of these classes there are additional categories, such as monohull and multihull boats, gullets, and others.
  • Geographic regions
  • Examples of types of experiences include bare boat (no crew), crewed experiences, luxury cruises, and adventure or eco travel.

How much does a yacht charter cost? In general, yacht charters target higher net worth individuals. Typical charters can range from US$ 10,000 per week on smaller sailing yachts and catamarans to US$ 150,000. 4 https://www.alliedmarketresearch.com/yacht-charter-market Prices quickly rise to US$ 500,000 to US$ 1 million and more per week on the most luxurious superyachts even before adding the extra costs of taxes, insurance, crew gratuity, and other costs

The boat sharing business and other business models are also increasing in popularity and helping to drive growth. A growing number of brokers are participating as intermediaries.

So what does this have to do with green yacht charters? According to AMR, 5 https://www.grandviewresearch.com/industry-analysis/yacht-charter-market the adventure travel market, including cruise expeditions, is growing at a rapid pace.

Future Marketing Insights (FMI) estimates that sailing yachts are expected to hold about 63.4% of the market revenue because of an increase in demand for eco-friendly yachts among consumers who care about the environment . 6 https://www.futuremarketinsights.com/reports/yacht-charter-market

Our goal in writing this review was to examine the state of the green yacht charter market and to identify industry leaders. We also want to promote awareness among consumers for more sustainable yacht charter options.

Many charter companies provide a blog post or educational materials supporting waste reduction, recycling, or other sustainability activities. Others promote partnerships with conservation organizations. But many charter and boat rental firms demonstrate little substantive commitment to green boating. Few companies include information about their sustainability initiatives in their public marketing.

We believe there is significant market potential for companies that engage more substantively with the environmental impact of their activities.  If you have read this far you are likely already concerned about climate change, pollution, and the environment. One action you can take is to ask your potential charter or boat share company about their sustainability policies. Do they display this information prominently? Is it meaningful or is it simply a post about the environment on a blog from several years ago? Encourage your charter operator to shift to electric propulsion, reduce waste, support local communities, use less toxic substances, purchase local and organic food where possible, and educate others.

Are you an individual looking to eventually purchase a yacht? As an early adopter you can help drive the market for low-emission boats.

If you are a charter operator, take a leadership role: Encourage green boating and set the standard for sustainable sailing. Let boat builders know that you would like to buy zero emission boats. This will incentivize the major boat builders to produce greener yachts at scale.

Selecting the best eco yacht charter companies

We started by looking at the recognized major players (largest companies) in this space. These included companies that ranked highly (first pages) in Google searches using combinations of the terms: “eco”, “sustainable,” “environmental,” “yacht,” “sailboat,” “charter,” and “boat share.” We also used a “snowball” approach that included companies that were described in trade news and magazine publishers about eco/sustainable/environmental yacht charters.  We looked at educational information (e.g., general calls to reduce environmental impact) and operational information (e.g., ability to actually charter an electric boat or request organic food).

In our review we used several criteria, including:

  • Availability of information: Is information readily available on the company web page (e.g., on menus or other prominent locations)? Is the information high quality?
  • Propulsion type: Engines that rely on diesel and gasoline. These contribute to greenhouse gas emissions, potential for spills and pollution, and increase passenger and crew exposure to unhealthy emissions.  Do the companies offer and advertise electric or hybrid sailboats and yachts?
  • Pollution and sustainable practices: Do the companies clearly articulate how they promote waste reduction? Do they highlight other activities, such as partnering with nonprofit organizations and local communities?  For example, in 2018 Sunseeker International partnered with the Blue Marine Foundation (BLUE) to create Project Menorca. This program supports local sustainability programs on the island. By 2020 Project Menorca had reportedly helped to reduce single-use plastics by local fishmongers. The project supported 143 beach cleanups and an estimated 13.5 tons of plastic was removed from the island.

We only included companies that offer sailing yachts. We did not include companies with only motorized yachts or cruise ships. There are also many smaller cruise operators that offer unique sailing experiences (e.g., Windjammer cruises) or other eco-boat tours and cruises (e.g., whale watching, puffin watching, diving), and other activities that we did not review. We hope to review the best of these in another post.

For many companies it was hard to determine whether electric boats or other green options are available for clients. Larger companies offer thousands of possible boat and location combinations. If it was difficult to find this information (e.g., top-level search criteria, clear directions for how to find this information), we gave companies a lower scores.

A note on size and propulsion. Large diesel-powered mega-yachts are inherently less sustainable than smaller yachts. This is because they require more materials, resources, and (in the case of typical motor yachts), fuel. Sail-powered boats, even with diesel engines, will typically have fewer emissions than boats of similar size without sails. There are other considerations that come into play as well, such as number of passengers and crew per boat. In general, larger boats have a bigger environmental impact than smaller boats. Similarly, sailboats tend to emit fewer greenhouse gasses than similarly-sized power boats.

Electric boats can be charged by solar power, wind power, and shore power. Ideally, recharging from shore would use energy from wind or solar and not coal or gas power! The life cycle of the materials used to build a boat is also a factor. How long a boat is used and how it is retired and disposed of can also influence the environmental impact.

Several companies advertised “eco-friendly mega yachts”. Be careful: This is an oxymoron. More efficient propulsion and healthier materials are better than not. But ultimately there is little a diesel-driven mega yacht can do to reduce environment impact.

There are some famous mega yachts that were explicitly designed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and environmental impact. The Black Pearl is a 106.7 meter sailing yacht built by Oceanco. It was delivered to its owner in 2018. The boat uses three DynaRig masts with a steel hull, aluminum superstructure aluminum, and carbon fiber masts. The yacht is one of the largest sailing yachts ever built. It has a hybrid propulsion system as well as other onboard systems such as waste heat recovery.  The Black Pearl won the 2019 World Super Yacht Sailing Yacht of the Year for Sailing Yachts 60m. 7 https://www.superyachttimes.com/yacht-news/world-superyacht-awards-2019-winners The Black Pearl was inspired by Perini Navi's award-winning 88m Maltese Falcon. The Maltese Falcon has three free-standing, DynaRig carbon fiber masts developed by Dykstra Naval Architects. The Maltese Falcon is available for charter

Some yachts are advertised by multiple companies. For example, you can book the Maltese Falcon from International Yacht Charter (IYC), Yacht Charter Fleet , and Navis Yacht Charter (NYC) .

The actual ownership group of charter companies is also not always clear. For example, Travelopia brands include SunSail and The Moorings.  The same goes for yacht boat builders. The portfolio of HanseYachts AG features three well-known sailing yacht brands: Hanse, Dehler, and Moody. HanseYachts in turn has a shareholder structure nearly 80% controlled by Aurelius Group .

Given the huge size of the yacht charter industry and the limitations of our search methods we know we may have missed high quality green yacht charter and boat share companies. This is particularly the case for newer, smaller, and boutique firms.  We hope our list will encourage charter companies and their sales affiliates to better promote tangible green sailing options.

Please send us a note if you represent or have experience with worthy companies we should add in future updates.

The Sail Greener List of Best Eco Yacht Charter Companies

Best overall: we are on a boat.

Our winner for best sustainable boating charter or boat sharing company is We Are on A Boat Sustainable Boating .  If we had an award for most whimsical name they would probably win that category as well. The company bills itself as a community marketplace to promote and rent electric, wind, or solar eco-friendly boats.  The company says it also wants to motivate people to share their boats while meeting new, interesting people and build constructive and meaningful relations. While the web page was minimal and had little information about other areas of sustainability (e.g., non-toxic gear or pollution) this was the only company we found that focused on electric yachts and boats.

  • Only company we found that focused entirely on electric boats, batteries, motors, and services. They even have a link for hydrogen-powered boats (but none were offered when we checked January 2021).
  • The prices were competitive compared to other similar operators.
  • A wide range of options were available, including monohull and catamaran sailboats, and even houseboats.
  • Almost all the company’s advertised listings (as of January 2021) were in Europe (104), and 80 of these were in the Netherlands. Seven were listed in the United States, suggesting growth potential.
  • The web page is minimal compared to many charter and boat rental companies.
  • The blog entries were interesting (e.g., “ Greta’s [Thunberg] Atlantic Crossover – An Example of Courage and Commitment “) but over a year old. While they may not need information for their already-converted customers, additional information could help to convert and educate new customers about the benefits of electric sailboats.
  • The web page did not provide information or guidance on other areas of sustainability, like sustainable materials or pollution.

Best Global Yacht Charter or Boat Share Company: Boatbooking

Boatbooking.com provided the most information about sustainability among the major yacht charter and boat share companies we reviewed. The company provides charter vacations, adventures, and experiences on motor and sailing yachts, catamarans, and gulets in the world’s major sailing destinations.  For example, Boatbooking provided information about carbon offsets and low carbon emissions chartering opportunities with their Lagoon 420 hybrid catamarans 8 https://www.boatbookings.com/yacht_charter/carbon_offset.php .The blog also included a range of helpful articles, such as, “ Green Chartering to Preserve the Seas and Help Fight Climate Change .”

  • Most readily available information about sustainability among the major yacht charter companies we examined
  • Tangible information about carbon offsets and educational materials about the value of “green chartering.”
  • Opportunities to charter hybrid catamarans. While the options were limited, we could at least easily find these boats unlike most other charter companies that do not provide links or search criteria for electric or hybrid boats
  • The company’s overall sustainability rank is still relatively low, but they ranked higher than their competitors and they should get credit for this.
  • The company offers few electric or hybrid options, but hopefully their baseline commitment will help this category to grow over time. Providing information is relatively easy. Converting fleets will be more challenging.
  • We still had to search for the information we did find.

Close Competitor: Boatsetter

Boatsetter reports that it has approximately 200 electric boats for rent on its website, with the most in Washington D.C., Seattle, Chicago, and Los Angeles. 9 https://www.boatsetter.com/boat-rental-experiences/eco-friendly The company reports that these are now regularly sold out.

  • The company has a large number of electric boats for rent
  • Boatsetter was one of the first major companies to develop a strategy for helping the victims from Hurricane Dorian in the Bahamas.
  • As an industry leader, the company has enormous potential to encourage electric yacht sharing
  • We found it difficult to find information about their sustainability initiatives
  • Boatsetter does not have as much useful environmental information readily visible as boatbooking.com

Honorable Mention Luxury Yacht Charter: Helm

Helm is a yacht charter company that seeks to prioritize client enjoyment and to help clients, whether seasoned sailors or those planning their first yacht adventure, to plan a “perfect trip.” The company provides boats that run on electric power and other information about sustainability.

  • Clients can charter boats like the Sunreef 50 Eco and Suncreef 60 Eco, which Helm advertises as the first charter catamarans to run solely on electrical power.
  • In the luxury class, clients can charter the Black Pearl. Built in 2016, the Black Pearl is one of the world’s largest “zero impact” sailing yachts and features propellers that act as water turbines, along with black DynaRig sails that include solar panels.
  • The company provided information on “ green yacht charters ”, including information about more sustainable materials like bamboo, pollution, and more sustainable food options.
  • It was not easy to find the information on the “top level” web page
  • While we applaud the “eco” offerings available, these were still in the minority.
  • There was little else that suggested a corporate focus on sustainability on the company “about” page.

Companies Receiving 1 or 2 Stars

The following companies earned 1 or 2 stars out of 5. This means the companies provide some form of educational materials, sustainability options, or other “green” activities compared to their peers, but these are modest compared to what is possible. Still, something is better than nothing and credit where credit is due! These companies made our list and many more did not!

The yacht charter and boat share market is large and growing. A key driver of this growth is a growing number of high net worth individuals. But younger people are also showing greater interested in sailing, particularly after the pandemic. As of today, relatively few yacht charter and boat rental/share companies are emphasizing sustainability. This is especially the case relative to the overall market. But the above list suggests this is changing.

The world needs viewer emission-spewing mega yachts and more attention to the impact—direct and indirect—of recreational boating (and the marine economy generally) on people and ecosystems.  Recreational boating will never be without environmental impact. However, the industry will reduce its contribution to global warming and ocean pollution by doing more to encourage sustainability. These changes can include sail over engine, electric over diesel, smaller over larger, and educating passengers, crew, and investors about the importance of these decisions for the health of people and the oceans they want to enjoy

Extra Credit: Dream Yacht Charter did not rank highly for sustainability. It does, however, have some superlative links to educational opportunities for new sailors. We were impressed that in 2019 Dream Yacht Charter became t the only major charter company to become a preferred partner of the American Sailing Association (ASA) . ASA has 400 affiliated sailing schools worldwide. It also has a mission to teach people to sail competently and safely through its Learn to Sail program. The schools offer ASA certification and have awarded over 1 million certifications to over 500,000 sailors. Dream Yacht Charters also has a new exclusive partnership with Nautilus Sailing Schools , offering high-end Learn to Sail vacations.  We hope they will consider adding additional sustainability education and boat charter opportunities.

Please let us know if you notice errors or omissions. Let us know if you have companies you would like to suggest we add to this list! With each passing month we expect more firms to add electric yachts and sustainability information.

TOP 10 Yacht Charter Companies to Consider for Your Trip

largest yacht charter companies

Private jet charters offer convenience, comfort, privacy, personal service, bespoke facilities, and luxury. And, of course, a huge choice of destinations and departure points, and an itinerary to suit you.

The only downside? They can’t travel on water.

Enjoy the Private Jet Lifestyle Without Taking Off

Super yacht companies are to cruising what private jet companies are to flying. You will have a much wider choice of destinations when choosing yacht companies over cruise lines, including numerous smaller ports where huge cruise ships can’t dock.

Cruise companies offer a very limited selection of departure dates. Often, you’ll need to compromise on your holiday length, ship, or destinations to travel on your desired dates—or vice versa. Book a charter with the best yacht companies, though, and you can create your own itinerary.

The Best Way to Do Business on Water

Yacht charter companies don’t just cater for family holidays or romantic breaks! Today, many yachts are equipped with all the technological amenities you need to do business while enjoying all the comfort and convenience of your surroundings. Yachts and cruises can be the perfect environment for holding meetings and entertaining clients in style—just like private jets.

But should you charter your vessels from luxury yacht companies, or think about buying a yacht of your own? And if you decide to charter, what are the best yacht charter companies to trust with your trip? Here’s our lowdown.

Luxury Yachts: Charter or Buy?

A yacht is a great status symbol, and ownership theoretically means you’re free to travel when and where you choose. However, yachts don’t make the best investments unless you’re using them very regularly (or hiring them out when you’re not). They’re costly to operate, insure, maintain, and store/berth, and their value can depreciate quickly. You’ll also have to source a quality crew at short notice (not easy) or keep them on retainer (not cheap).

Chartering yachts from top-end yacht companies, however, gives you the benefits of yacht-owning without the cost and responsibility. You can still enjoy a bespoke trip, luxurious surroundings, and an experienced crew, but the experience will be stress-free. And you’ll only pay while you’re chartering.

If you want to try yacht chartering, we’ve selected our ten best yacht companies for the quality and choice they offer.

The Best Yacht Chartering Companies

The top yacht companies with the Paramount Business Jets seal of approval are:

Northrop & Johnson

Founded in 1949 to cater to the yachtsmen of Long Island Sound, Northrop & Johnson has long since expanded beyond New York, with branches in Europe and throughout the US.

The 295ft Nero oozes 1920s glamour. Its master suite has a lounge, study, and ensuite bathroom. There are six further staterooms, a host of water sports equipment and craft, and a spa, pool, jacuzzi, masseuse, beautician, and personal trainer.

The Mediterranean-themed Bang! is only 114ft. However, there’s still space for a large master suite, four double cabins, a jacuzzi, and an upper salon boasting a full bar, office space, and lounge area.

The Moorings

The Moorings company was founded in the British Virgin Islands in 1969 by Charlie Cary, a Navy veteran and sailing enthusiast. With bases across the world, it’s a prize-winning company well-known for charitable and environmental endeavors.

The 46ft Moorings 4600 catamaran has three ensuite cabins and sleeping accommodations for the all-important captain and gourmet chef! The cross deck is an ideal launchpad for water sports, the luxurious main cabin has a full entertainment center, and solar panels increase battery life.

Fancy taking charge of your yacht yourself? Consider the Pegasus—a Fountaine Pajot MY 40 power cat . She has a large master suite, two further double cabins, and an extensive inventory of cooking appliances.

Burgess Yachts

Founded in 1975 by renowned solo ocean racer Nigel Burgess, Burgess Yachts now has branches in Asia, Australasia, Europe, and the US. It specializes in yachts of over 100ft.

The Faith , at 316ft, is currently the longest yacht the company offers. It houses a cinema, gym, wellness center, glass-bottomed pool, games deck, wine cellar, and water sports equipment galore. There are two suites, four cabins, and a crew that includes three chefs.

The sleek 196ft Slipstream offers a master suite, VIP cabin, three standard cabins, and a cinema, plus a sheltered jacuzzi and alfresco dining area.

Ritzy Charters

Ritzy Charters , founded in 2012, is based in North Bay Village, Florida. The company offers over 1,300 yachts for charter across the world, from the chilly expanses of the Arctic to the warm climes of the Caribbean.

The 130ft Endless Summer has a master suite, three VIP suites, and two twin staterooms. It offers a dinghy, tender, and deck jacuzzi, inside and outside bars, and a range of water sports equipment.

The more petite Madrigal V Yacht Charter Catamaran , although just 45ft long, has three ensuite queen-size cabins. With a deck shower, snorkel gear, and an underwater camera and video, it’s the perfect base for underwater exploration.

Adrian Gradinaru co-founded Sailo in 2014 with three business-and-tech-savvy friends, after struggling to hire a boat and competent captain himself. Sailo connects boat owners, captains, charter companies, and renters, offering 30,000+ boats in over 500 locations.

The 60ft Express Cruiser is ideal for smaller meetings or parties. Guests can enjoy fantastic sound systems, use Bluetooth, internet, and satellite TV facilities, and sleep in the two staterooms, each with a full bath.

For larger gatherings and parties, the cabin-less 120ft Custom Yacht accommodates 140 guests. It offers a range of entertainment and dining options to create your perfect event.

Boatbookings

Boatbookings was founded in 2005 to connect yacht charter experts worldwide via technology, providing a superior yacht chartering experience. The company’s strength is its local representatives with on-the-ground knowledge of the locations and the 12,000+ boats the company offers.

The 78ft Zia Canaia is one of the company’s most popular boats. With a highly experienced crew, the boat has two twin and two double cabins, a spacious and luxurious lounge, a tender, and water sports equipment.

If you want to travel under sail instead, opt for the Orion crewed catamaran, with four ensuite double cabins, a jacuzzi, a large saloon and a range of fishing and water sports equipment.

My Rent Boat

My Rent Boat was founded in 2019 in the UK, aiming to provide a digital platform for chartering boats simply and affordably. It also offers individual cabin rentals.

One of the company’s cheapest sailing boats to charter is the neat, compact Orestis , which can accommodate six guests in three cabins.

At the other end of the scale, the Ohana has 18 cabins sleeping 38 people, luxurious and spacious socializing and dining spaces, an array of water sports equipment, and an eight-person crew.

SNS Yacht Charter

SNS Yacht Charter was founded in 2020 by CEO Stephanie Skinner to offer bespoke and unique yachting holidays. The small, boutique, Mallorca-based company focuses on personal service rather than tech-driven bookings.

The 236ft Serenity is the company’s longest yacht, with 14 cabins. There’s an extensive master suite, gym, sauna, beauty room, bar, cinema, sundeck, and pool, along with a multitude of water toys.

The smallest yacht is the 55ft Babalu . However, minimalist décor and ergonomic design mean it still offers five double ensuite cabins, ample dining, socializing and sunbathing areas, and a variety of water toys.

Dream Yacht Charter

Dream Yacht Charter was founded by Loic Bonnet in 2000 with the aim of making sailing accessible to all. Beginning in Seychelles with just six boats, the company now offers over 1,000 yachts in more than 60 locations worldwide.

The company offers novel eco-friendly Aqualodges , ideal for relaxing on the water. These two-bedroom ‘floating villas’ are moored self-catering units with a glass floor for underwater views and a dinghy for trips to the shore.

The Dream 60 is a crewed catamaran with six stylish ensuite cabins and bright, spacious areas for indoor and outdoor dining and socializing.

Y.CO was founded in 2004 by Charlie Birkett and Gary Wright. Originally a Yacht Management company, it’s now one of the world’s leading full-service yacht companies, with offices in Monaco, London, and Fort Lauderdale.

The eye-catching, award-winning Maltese Falcon has a naval architectural design. This 289ft carbon fiber DynaRig has a decadent full-beam owner’s suite, a VIP suite, and four double staterooms. There’s also a gym and sauna with staff to help you make the most of them.

The 167ft Helios 2 has five cabins including a master suite, plus a jacuzzi and immaculate spacious rooms and spaces, inside and out, for dining and relaxing.

Maximize Your Comfort: Pair Your Yacht with a Private Jet

As you can see, if you want a bespoke itinerary that oozes luxury, comfort, and convenience, private jets and luxury yachts are a match made in heaven! A private jet charter is an ideal way to meet your yacht or bring you home, as it can land at a multitude of smaller airports not served by airlines. It will also ensure your trip maintains that relaxed, sumptuous vibe. You could also book a private jet charter to extend your holiday, taking you somewhere inland for a few days on solid ground.

It has been announced that the brand new Lurssen Superyacht FLYING FOX will join the Charter Fleet .  At 136m (446.19ft) she will become the World's Largest Yacht ever officially marketed for Charter.

One of this year’s most sensational new yacht launches, FLYING FOX is destined  to become its most exciting charter yacht .

largest yacht charter companies

Only delivered to its owner in the Spring of 2019, FLYING FOX is an enticing opportunity for those seeking not only the very best in yachting style and luxury but also the cache of being one of the first people to experience this 136m (446ft) motor yacht .

The 16th longest superyacht in the world, FLYING FOX enjoys 9,100GT of interior volume, making her one of the largest superyachts afloat and a charter yacht of near incomparable luxury and space. Her superb pedigree fuses the large yacht dream team of German mega yacht builder Lurssen with renowned designer Espen Oino , delivering a remarkable design that flows across her five exterior decks.

FLYING FOX’s sculpted superstructure and decks deliver more than just aesthetic pleasure, creating numerous terraces, balconies and viewing areas from which guests can enjoy the seascape. A huge and quite unique 12-meter swimming pool is perhaps the stand-out deck feature, though, running across the yacht’s vast beam.

Able to accommodate up to 22 guests, rather than the more usual 12, FLYING FOX's guests will be served by a crew of 54, a luxurious ratio of more than 2:1 that is sure to deliver the most incredible charter yacht holiday.

The interior design is the work of Mark Berryman, the British designer creating lavish but also balanced accommodation that is perfect for charter. An entire private master suite on the upper deck is joined by 10 class-leading guest suites, each with its own private terrace, a truly wonderful and rare feature.

Located high on the bridge deck, large and beautifully finished living areas run across two floors, offering incredible views for the two salons and dining areas.

A 400 square-metre two-floor spa is another stand-out feature, with hammam, sauna, massage area, gym and cryo sauna. A lower deck spa area is also included, connecting to the beach club with its dive centre and direct to the sea.

Other notable features include a full cinema, twin heli-pads, custom-built tenders including a 12.5m enclosed Limo tender, and a beach landing craft. Finished in a  dove grey hull, this is not only one of the most desirable charter yachts in the world but perhaps also the most impressive.

If you would like to be among the first to charter this stunning superyacht, please get in touch with your preferred yacht charter broker.

A look at the most expensive superyachts at the Palm Beach yacht show and their insane features, from basketball courts on deck to ice baths and saunas

  • The Palm Beach International Boat Show kicks off later this week.
  • Eight megayachts are expected to be on display for would-be buyers and charter customers.
  • These are the show's biggest yachts — and how many millions of dollars they are going for.

Insider Today

The Palm Beach International Boat Show — the yacht world's flashiest event stateside — is returning this year with over 800 boats for both deep-pocked potential owners and window shoppers to peruse.

While it's impossible to know what exactly will be on display until the show begins on Thursday, it's expected that eight megayachts — generally defined as ships over 60 meters long — will be docked at the show and at nearby marinas like the Rybovich Marina in the ritzy Florida town.

Some of these are for sale at eye-popping prices, but others are available to if in case you fancy living like a billionaire for a week or two this summer (and if you have six figures to spare on a vacation).

These are the eight biggest yachts that will be at the Palm Beach International Boat Show and nearby marinas, in size order.

Nero: 90.1 meters

Price: From $497,000 a week (charter) Standout features: Pizza ovens, beauty salon, massage room, resistance pool

Reportedly owned by Irish billionaire Denis O'Brien, Nero is modeled after J.P. Morgan's 1930s ship , and was built in 2007 and updated in 2021.

She now boasts a gym on her sundeck with multiple cardio machines and a beauty salon, and has an on-board beautician for manicure, pedicure, hair, and massage needs. There's also an upgraded movie theater, two new pizza ovens, and both a pool and a jacuzzi.

For those who want to go overboard, she has more than a dozen toys, including a waterslide, Jet Ski, and flyboard.

Victorious: 85 meters

Price: From $876,600 a week in the summer and $950,000 a week in the winter Standout features: Hammam (Turkish bath), wine cellar, wood-burning fireplace, children's playroom

Victorious brings a party vibe to the yacht show. With a beach club on board, a wine cellar, a cigar clubroom , multiple bars, and a lounge with a piano, the vessel is made for entertaining. Plus, there's a playroom and movie theater to entertain the kids.

For tamer charter clients, Victorious has a suite of wellness features such as a gym, massage room, beauty salon and hammam, or Turkish bath — perhaps a custom request of her owner, Turkish businessman Vural Ak.

She also boasts a treasure trove of water toys, including Jet Skis, jetsurfs, inflatable kayaks, and scuba equipment.

Casino Royale: 72 meters

Price: TBD Special Features: Infinity pool, helipad, private jacuzzi

Purchased and refitted by car dealer magnate John Staluppi last year, Casino Royale is the latest of his James Bond-inspired yachts (he's also owned an Octopussy and a Skyfall, among others).

Casino Royale has a helipad that turns into a dancefloor, an infinity pool, and a wellness center with a gym and sauna. The owner's cabin has its own deck, which features a private bar and jacuzzi.

However, the boat's price isn't listed, and while she's not necessarily officially for sale, that might change depending on who's prepared to buy, Mr. Bond.

Talisman C: 70.6 meters

Price: $60 million (or from $567,000 a week to charter) Special features: Massage and beauty room, private library

Likely the largest yacht for sale (not just charter) at the show, the Talisman C is a 2011 six-bedroom boat. The owner's cabin comes with an en suite bathroom, dressing room, private library, and crystal chandeliers.

Amenities include a gym, a beauty room, oversized jacuzzi, and a fully equipped bar. Her crew of 19 includes a trained masseuse, and the toy room comes equipped with a wakeboard, eFoil , and WaveRunners.

Joy: 70 meters

Price: From $650,000 a week Special features: Disco club, basketball court, onboard fitness instructor

Superyacht Joy testifies to the fact that owners want as many on-board experiences as they can get.

There's an expansive suite of fitness features, including a basketball court (don't shoot that hoop too hard!), a personal trainer on staff, boxing equipment, and a handful of machines. For post-workout winddowns, there's a spa with a steam room and onboard masseuse. And for entertainment, there's both an outdoor and indoor cinema, and a disco club.

Triumph: 65.4 meters

Price: From $707,600 a week in the summer and $650,000 a week in the winter Special features: Sauna, helipad, banana boat

This 2021 superyacht is named after Triumph motorcycles — a reported favorite of her rumored owner, British businessman Chris Dawson — and even has one on display as an art piece in the upper deck's lounge. The primary suite is 1,400 square feet and has its own study , and there's a sauna, an indoor-outdoor gym, a helipad, and a massage room spread among her six decks.

She boasts an "armada of water toys," including two kinds of Jet Skis, electric water bikes, and a banana boat.

Seanna: 64.5 meters

Price: $54,000,000 (or from $462,000 a week to charter) Special features: marble foyer, movie room, sundeck pool

The recently refurbished Seanna is available for sale and charter.

Her indoor-outdoor gym is on sea level so that passengers can take a dip after a session with the onboard personal trainer. There's also a sundeck pool, a helipad, a two-room massage facility, and, for the more cerebral guests, a library with an electric fireplace.

There are a number of toys on board, including a popular water trampoline and two WaveRunners.

Come Together: 60 meters

Price: $65,000,000 Special Features: DJ and videographer on board, ice bath, sauna

Next-to-new yacht Come Together is looking for a new owner after doing charters during the 2023 season.

The Beatles' influence is evident beyond the yacht's name, with guitars dotting the sky lounge and a crewmember who doubles as a DJ. There's also an outdoor cinema and bar for entertainment and an ice bath and sauna for the day after the party. The owner's suite has a private study and lounge, and each guest cabin has its own ensuite.

The sale includes a number of toys, like Jet Skis, kayaks, and Seabobs.

Kamaz FTL hauler registers NatCar brand

largest yacht charter companies

MOSCOW. Sept 4 (Interfax) - National Carrier JSC, the full truckload freight trucking company headed by former Globaltruck CEO Ilya Sattarov that Russian truck maker Kamaz founded this summer, applied to register the brand NatCar at the end of August, the registry of federal intellectual property service Rospatent showed.

The NatCar brand is also mentioned in the recruitment ads of National Carrier, which is actively looking for E-class drivers. It is offering working with this year's model Kamaz diesel trucks from the flagship K5 line and new dry goods (curtainsider) and refrigerated trailers.

National Carrier was founded on July 7 in Moscow with charter capital of 1 billion rubles, the Unified State Register of Legal Entities showed. The company registered two branches in early August, in Yekaterinburg and Elektrostal, Moscow Region. The company specializes in truck logistics and associated activities, including digitization processes.

A spokesman for National Carrier told Interfax earlier that the company plans to provide FTL trucking services using its own fleet, "as well as the resources of hired truckers." The company's fleet will initially consist of 400 semi-trailer trucks with a 50/50 ratio of curtainside to refrigerated trailers, and it plans to primarily operate on domestic routes, he said.

The company has preliminary agreements with major customers among marketplaces and retailers in the FMCG and DIY segments, the spokesman said. Strong demand for trucking services is expected toward the end of the year, so there is interest from customers, he said.

Kamaz marketing director Ashot Arutyunyan announced at the International Moscow Automotive Forum at the end of August that the truck maker was the principal investor in National Carrier. He did not comment on the new company's shareholder structure, but said it is a Kamaz startup.
