Seamaster 300m or Yacht-Master 37Rolex of these two. Are you looking to buy one of these two. Yes, I am. Thank you for your response. Z. Seamaster is more tool watch looking, yachtmaster is more sporty and showy. Two different vibe of watches to me. Omega any day. Leaning left on this one ZDiver said: If price is not a consideration... which would you pick of these two attractive watches? Click to expand... Well done. You've managed to completely miss the point of the entire thread. Omega Omega bezel is unidirectional; Rolex bezel is bi-directional, fwiw. I'm a fan of that Yacht-Master and I still can't get passed the HEV on the Omega. This ^^^. I find that the HEV ruins the watch. YM for me out of these two. Yachtmaster would be my choice easily, of the two. I believe it is larger (I'd really go for the 40mm version) and I am not a fan of most Seamasters. It's overall a better looking watch and platinum would be a nice addition to what I own already. Omega , without hesitation.... Thank you for all the replies. Really appreciate your perspectives. Given my existing small collection, I have narrowed my next acquisition down to one of these 2, and wanted to make sure I cover all aspects before deciding. Z. If price is not a concern, then I head to aesthetics next. YM is my vote of the two. I own a Yacht-Master and recommend it highly. I really the Seamaster Vibe and look and if seriously considered getting one on several occasions but that HEV valve is just so off-putting. While I used to hate the Cyclops I now practically require one in order to be able to use the date function. So if you're approaching the age where your vision might start to degrade that's a legitimate consideration for a date function watch. The nice thing about your particular dilemma is there isn't really a bad choice here. Thank you Stephen. While I do not mind the HEV (I have one other seamaster), I am on the fence with the cyclops. It looks ugly, but you are correct in the practical aspect with waning vision 😉 Yeah, it's totally a first world problem. Z. Omega every time. I’m a huge omega fan. But if I were choosing between those two it’d be the yachtmaster. I love that Omega , but i would choose the Yachtmaster. Rolex, based on looks. Rolex Definitely the Seamaster. It’s undervalued, classy and doesn’t have the feminine touch the YM does. Rolex for sure. I'm a big Omega fan, so normally I would go with that. The YM is probably a better choice from a financial pov, but can you get hold of one? The second hand market for the Yacht-Master did not go crazy like other Rolex models and I mostly buy used. Top Contributors this MonthRecommended CommunitiesFIFTH WRISTOwner review: rolex yacht-master 37 268621. The Yacht-Master line of Rolex has never been a hugely popular series from the acclaimed watch house. That is not necessarily a bad thing though. This was actually the main reason that I got attracted to the Rolex Yacht-Master 37 268621 in the first place. There are very few of these that you will actually see in the wild. The Rolex Yacht-Master 37 268621 has such an elegant profile, it is similar to the case of a modern Datejust and Daytona with lugs slopping down and hugging one’s wrist. So when I got a call from my Rolex authorized dealer last year (I waited for a week…. Yes you read it right, waited only for a week) I didn’t think twice and drove myself the very next day to pick it up in person. I picked up the less popular 37mm two-tone rose gold version and I absolutely love it. The Rolex rose gold is so warm that one tends to get mesmerized by it (at least I do). The elegance of the profile, shine and tone of the rose gold and weight does not disappoint. I wear this in the office and on the beach… literally an incredibly versatile timepiece. A lot of people might be wondering why I opted for the Rolex Yacht-Master 37 268621 rather than the popular 40mm. I always prefer the more modest sized watches and thought this one was a good fit on my 6.5 inch wrist. I have a number of 40mm watches in my current collection and I thought the 37mm would be a good addition for a more “classy touch”. It is still a mystery to me why this line has not shoot up in popularity and value. Something deep inside me would prefer to keep it that way… a hidden gem that only a few know and appreciate! the_watch_freak_ph LEVi A Filipino Watch Nerd ??? 4 days ago · I tried on a 37mm Yacht Master in a Rolex Boutique a couple months ago and really liked it but found it just a little too small even for my modest 7" wrists. Although I love small dress watches like vintage Omegas and also the 36mm Explorer, I think sports watches are meant to be a bigger by design due to the rotating bezel being typically ...
