From Nice, we offer Catamaran excursions in Monaco . We will leave the Port of Nice to sail in the direction of the East. On the road, we will discover many small villages of the seaside, we will cross the Cap of Nice, Cap Ferrat, Cap Estel and we will go to Cap Martin. On the road, we can make stops in the beautiful coves that offer wonderful beaches. I’m thinking in particular of the Mala beach, with its turquoise waters, cliffs and caves.

If you want to head west, we can sail towards Cannes and the Lérins Islands . After crossing the Bay of Angels and the seaside of Nice, we will pass the Cap d’Antibes and its pretty coves. You will discover many luxury villas and the hotel Eden Roc d’Antibes. We will arrive in the Bay of Cannes passing Juan les Pins and Golfe Juan.

We will discover the islands Sainte Marguerite and Sainte Honorat which form the archipelago of the islands of Lérins. By embarking on our dinghy or by docking directly with the catamaran on the pontoon, we will be able to visit the islands, and its monuments (Sainte Marguerite: the island of the Iron Mask and Sainte Honorat: the island of the Moines). Living on a Catamaran

Living on a catamaran has both advantages and disadvantages when compared to living on a monohull sailboat. That said, most of the challenges of living aboard a catamaran are mitigated on larger and higher-quality vessels.

Catamarans feature two hulls placed side-by-side and connected by a deck. As a result, the cabins are split between the two hulls, and you may have to go outside to get to the other cabin. Thankfully, most modern cruising catamarans have a center cockpit that connects the two hulls and often features living spaces.

Some vessels have facilities (such as the galley and table) in one cabin and sleeping areas in the other. However, some catamarans have sleeping and cooking facilities in both hulls. The configuration you choose depends on how many people attended live aboard and what layout you prefer.

Catamarans offer superior stability and motion comfort, which is a big advantage when living aboard. Overall, conditions under sail and in the harbor are likely much better aboard a properly-proportioned catamaran.

How to Choose a Liveaboard Catamaran

What qualities make a catamaran ideal for living aboard, and how do you choose the best boat? Attributes such as size and interior layout are the most important, but others such as fit and finish and seakeeping abilities should also be considered.

The best liveaboard catamarans range in size between 30 and 50 feet, width 40 feet being the comfortable average. In general, vessels smaller than 30 feet simply lack the space to include a practical interior layout.

Interior Layout

Interior layout is largely a matter of personal opinion. The most popular liveaboard catamaran features a spacious center cockpit with access to both hulls. Master bedrooms are often found in the stern and the bow of each hull, with heads in between and a galley in the center cockpit. Some catamarans feature one or more additional settees, along with storage in all areas.

Tech and Convenience

The majority of monohull sailboats were produced between the 1960s in the 1980s. This isn't the case for catamarans, as their popularity is more recent. As a result, you're likely to find considerably more modern amenities aboard. Everything from autopilot systems to bathtubs are available aboard newer catamarans.

How Much does a Liveaboard Catamaran Cost?

Unlike most catamarans, which are built overseas, the Manta 42 was produced entirely in the United States. The Florida-based company produced these vessels in the 1990s and 2000s, and they proved extremely popular with offshore cruisers.

The Manta 42 is known for its stability, hull strength, and speed. However, its cabin layout is also smart and livable. Most Manta 42s feature an asymmetrical cabin layout. The cabin has two heads located in convenient places; one on the port side across from a master berth and one on the starboard side, which is easily accessible from the cockpit. It features three berthing areas and one large sitting area, with seating and storage throughout.

The Manta 42 also has exceptional storage capacity. The vessel stores 125 gallons of fuel and a whopping 100 gallons of freshwater. It also has generous gray and black water tanks to service both heads and the galley sinks.

The futuristic cockpit of the Nautitech 44 allows the crew to enjoy ample ventilation even in wet conditions. This makes it ideal for living abroad in tropical climates where rain and heat often accompany each other.

Nautitech, which is a French company, continues to produce this model due to its popularity and excellent seakeeping abilities. Prices almost always exceed $100,000, both new and used, making it one of the costlier models on the list. For the price, you get a fine interior fit and finish along with the latest comforts and conveniences.

The Nautitech 44 is available in several cabin layouts. The most popular configuration features an expansive center cockpit with below-deck living spaces, along with three berthing areas and a galley. Additionally, most of these vessels feature a large master head and several smaller heads in each of the hulls. Access to each hull through the center cockpit is easy, and the headroom is excellent.

The Nautitech 44 is a fast boat, and it's great for offshore cruising. However, hull width was sacrificed for speed and handling. This means that the hulls are slightly narrower than some of the competition. That said, it doesn't seem to bother most Nautitech owners.

The cabin of the Voyage 44 is modern and airy, taking advantage of light colors and thoughtfully designed furniture to make the most out of limited space. This is conducive to a pleasant living environment that's also easy to clean. The center cockpit also features a large, full galley.

The center cockpit stands out, as the voyage 44s exceptionally wide beam gives it plenty of room for tables, sitting areas, and other amenities. The windows let in plenty of light, in the cabin is completely weatherproof.

Below decks, the Voyage 44 features up to six separate heads and several sleeping areas. The master head, located in the bow, is one of the largest available on sailboats of this size range. The vessel features up to eight individuals sleeping areas, which is remarkable for a 44-foot boat.

The Voyage 44 is an excellent liveaboard catamaran due to its wide beam and extremely spacious living accommodations. Out of all the boats on this list, the Voyage 44 is likely the best value overall as it's relatively affordable. The Voyage 44 may be the perfect long-term liveaboard catamaran under 50 feet in length.

The majority of Privilege 435s on the market were built recently, so you can expect the latest navigation and safety equipment. Additionally, the vessel is efficient and includes amenities such as multiple heads, modern utilities, and easy access to the hulls through the center cabin.

The vessel features four separate bedrooms and enough bathrooms and showers for each person (or couple). The center Cabin is wide and features comfortable seating areas, along with a full galley with a stove and a fridge. Stepping inside the Privilege 435 is like stepping inside of a vacation house, and it feels purpose-built for long-term living.

The vessel is available in relatively high numbers, though its popularity means you're likely to pay top dollar. On the used market, the vessel sells for between $250,000 to $350,000 on average. This puts it on the upper edge of our price range. But for the price, you got a long-lasting and desirable catamaran that's ready to live aboard almost immediately.

The Privilege 435 is ideal for cruising liveaboards with families or sailors who need space for guests. The interior is very comfortable and aesthetically pleasing. It has several great spaces for entertaining multiple people. On short-to-medium voyages, the Privilege 435 should be adequate for up to eight or more adults.

The Elba 45 has one of the largest center cabins of any catamaran in its size range. It features a large settee, a full galley, and access to both hulls. The cabin layout is flexible, and you can order one of several different designs. Emma Stone Says It Would Be ‘Nice’ If People Would ‘Just Call Me’ By Her Real Name

Emma Stone would like everyone to finally address her as Emmanuella Gertrude Stonebreaker III, already.

Just kidding! That is by no means her real name — but neither is Emma.

During a joint interview for The Hollywood Reporter with her “The Curse” co-star Nathan Fielder published Wednesday, Fielder told the outlet he was going to refer to Stone as “Emily” instead of “Emma.”

Stone has explained in the past that although her birth name is Emily Stone, she had to change it while earning her Screen Actors Guild card because there was already an actor named Emily Stone in the union.

After Fielder declared he’d be using Stone’s real name throughout the interview, the outlet asked if anyone else in the industry calls her by her real name.

“When I get to know them, people that I work with do. It’s just because my name was taken [by another actor in SAG]. Then I freaked out a couple of years ago. For some reason, I was like, ‘I can’t do it anymore. Just call me Emily,’” she said, noting that Fielder also calls her “Em.”

When THR asked whether she’d like it if a fan called her “Emily,” the “Poor Things” star gave a resounding yes.

“That would be so nice. I would like to be Emily,” Stone said.

Stone isn’t alone in being somewhat irked by the overuse of their stage name.

Anne Hathaway was born Anne Hathaway, but prefers to be referred to as her nickname, which is Annie.

The “Idea of You” star explained to Jimmy Fallon in 2021 that she filmed a commercial when she was 14 and needed a SAG card.

“They asked me, ‘What do you want your name to be?’ And I’m like, ‘Well, it should be my name. My name’s Anne Hathaway,’” she said. “And so that seemed like the right choice, but it never occurred to me that for the rest of my life people would call me Anne.”

She added that everyone in her life calls her Annie — except for her mom, who only uses “Anne” when she’s angry with her.

“Every time I step out in public and someone calls my name, I think they’re gonna yell at me,” she said.

What's in a name for Emma Stone ? A lot!

The two-time Oscar winner revealed in a chat with The Hollywood Reporter , alongside her The Curse costar Nathan Fielder , that she prefers to go by her given name, Emily, when possible.

In fact, when asked by THR whether she'd correct a fan who called her by her real name instead of Emma, the 35-year-old responded, "No. That would be so nice. I would like to be Emily."

Stone said "people that I work with" call her Emily, "when I get to know them," and noted that she made her stage name "Emma Stone" because Emily Stone "was taken" by another actress who was a member of SAG-AFTRA before her.

"Then I freaked out a couple of years ago," she told the outlet. "For some reason, I was like, 'I can’t do it anymore. Just call me Emily.' Nathan calls me Em, which is easier."

Back in November 2018, Stone said that incidentally, when she was younger, she did want to be called Emma because of her favorite Spice Girl : Baby Spice, a.k.a. Emma Bunton .

“Growing up, I was super blonde, and my real name is Emily, but I wanted to be called Emma because of Baby Spice and guess what? Now I am,” the  Poor Things  star said during an appearance on  The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon .

Backtracking slightly, Stone continued, “It wasn’t necessarily because of her but yes, in second grade, did I go up to the teacher on the first day and ask her to call me Emma ? Yes I did."

"And was it because of Emma Lee Bunton from the Spice Girls? Yes it was," she added.

Stone went on to add that although she’d already seen the British girl group in concert twice, she definitely planned to also catch them on their then- upcoming 2019 stadium tour .

“I saw them in concert in the ‘90s, I saw them at 02 Arena in 2008 and they recently announced a new tour and I will be going to that — somehow, ” the actress enthusiastically remarked.

“I don’t think tickets are on sale, but I’ll figure it out!” she added at the time.

Host Jimmy Fallon then helped Stone take an online quiz that would reveal which member from the group she was most like.

Bred from a French catamaran racing heritage, Entice combines catamaran sailing and comfort cruising in perfect harmony. Her rounded curves glide effortlessly over the water. The huge foredeck is perfect for relaxing while under sail. The aft deck provides protection from the elements without having to move indoors. Each tour visits Whitehaven Beach, Hill Inlet Look and 2 or 3 snorkelling locations. Your skipper will carefully choose the best location for the day. Frequently visited places are Hook and Whitsunday Island, Manta Ray Bay, Stonehaven Bay, Blue Pearl Bay on Hayman Island and Langford Island.

 AN EXAMPLE ITINERARY - 2 DAY TOUR

1. Sail to Hook Passage (overnight anchorage). 2. Peter Bay Whitsunday Island (snorkel). 3. Tongue Bay (Hill Inlet Lookout & Whitehaven Beach). 4. Stonehaven Bay Hook Island (overnight anchorage). 5. Blue Pearl Bay Hayman Island (snorkel). 6. Sail back to Airlie Beach.

A friendly crew member will pick you up at 4 pm from the meeting area at the Southern End of the Coral Sea Marina on Shingly Drive, Airlie Beach. Pack light. You can store your luggage in our Check-In-Office in downtown Airlie Beach or ask your accommodation provider. You’ll get taken to the boat, shown your accommodation and given a short introduction of the crew and the boat … and then you are heading out to sea.

SUNSET SAILING

Entice sets off to the Whitsunday Islands and after a brief sailing introduction, you and your fellow sailors will enjoy a sunset sail. Feel free to grab a drink. A snack will be served after dropping sails.

EVENING ON THE BOAT

The evenings are for relaxing, socialising or star gazing. A generous dinner will also be served. This is a great time to exchange travel tales or ask the crew about marine life.

GOOD MORNING

Start the day with the aroma of freshly brewed coffee. Breakfast is ready for you at 7 am. After breakfast, the tour heads to the 1st location for activities.

SNORKELLING

“Entice” and “O’Nice" snorkel in bays protected from wind and waves. Listen to the snorkel brief, then put on your snorkel suit and grab a mask.  Our crew will drive you directly to the corals and fish with the inflatable dinghy (rubber ducky). Your snorkel guide will stay with you the whole time to watch over you and assist you. Enjoy the great underwater world with peace of mind.

STAND UP PADDLEBOARDING (SUP)

Go for a serene paddle in a bay. Just you and your board immersed in nature."

WHITEHAVEN BEACH & HILL INLET

From Tongue Bay on Whitsunday Island, we will explore Whitehaven Beach. Our crew drives you over to Whitsunday Island to the start of the Lookout walk. After a short bushwalk you will enjoy the most magnificent views from Hill Inlet Lookout. On the other side of Tongue Point awaits Whitehaven Beach. Enjoy some time here relaxing, sun baking and swimming.

THE LAST DAY

After breakfast, enjoy another snorkel site on the morning of your last day in the Whitsunday Islands. Next a big morning tea and then we get ready for another exciting sail adventure back to Airlie Beach.

Emma Stone Revealed She "Would Like" To Be Called By Her Real Name

"That would be so nice," she said.

Emma Stone is one of many actors whose well-known names are actually stage names.

If you didn't know, Emma's first name is Emily.

She had to change her name when earning her SAG card as there was already an actress named Emily Stone in the union.

While Emma's career has soared under her stage name (including winning her second Oscar earlier this year), those closest to her don't call her "Emma."

In fact, the actor recently revealed using a stage name caused her to "freak out" a few years ago.

Emma and her The Curse costar Nathan Fielder spoke to the Hollywood Reporter in an interview published on Wednesday. Throughout the conversation, Nathan called Emma by the name "Emily," which prompted the publication to ask if anyone in the industry called her Emily.

"When I get to know them, people that I work with do. It's just because my name was taken [by another actress in SAG]," she said. "Then I freaked out a couple of years ago."

"For some reason, I was like, 'I can't do it anymore. Just call me Emily,'" she continued, noting Nathan also calls her "Em."

As for how if fans could greet her as Emily, Emma said, "That would be so nice. I would like to be Emily."

This isn't the first time Emma has opened up about her stage name. In 2018, she said on The Tonight Show that, as a child, she once asked to be called Emma because she was such a fan of Emma Bunton, aka Baby Spice from the Spice Girls .

"Growing up, I was super blonde," she said. "My real name is Emily, but I wanted to be called Emma because of Baby Spice. And guess what? Now I am," she said, noting that she asked her teacher to call her Emma in second grade.
