The Horizon Power Catamarans 52 delivers a bluewater cruiser that’s capable of long-range voyages with home-size volume. Sunbird , a 2022 build, is currently listed for sale through Horizon Powercat Co for $2.145 million. The 52-footer ticks all the boxes with its three-stateroom, two-head layout that sleeps six, multiple exterior entertainment spaces and a well-appointed galley.

Sunbird has a reported 21-knot top hop thanks to twin 550 hp Cummins QSB 6.7 diesels. At 18 knots, this power cat should have a 400-nautical-mile range. Dial it back to 8 knots, and range increases about 1,000 nautical miles. Maximum range is 1,780 nautical miles at just under 5 knots. The Horizon PC52 has a 4-foot-6-inch minimum draft, enabling it to cruise safely over shallow waters.

When it’s time to turn in for the evening, the three staterooms are belowdecks. The starboard hull houses the master stateroom with an en suite head aft and a queen berth forward. The port hull has the VIP stateroom forward with a queen berth. The second head is positioned between the VIP stateroom and the third guest stateroom, which has twin berths that convert to a queen berth with an insert.

Guest can enjoy shaded dining with a view in the cockpit at the high-gloss teak table and transom bench seat. Pull up a few chairs and there’s space for six.

Alfresco dining spaces are also found on the flybridge where guests can enjoy cocktails and conversation at an L-shaped dinette to port or relax on the lounge pad forward and to starboard.

Sunbird has an aft-galley aft layout, which makes serving guests in the cockpit and the salon easy. And for chefs who strive to please everyone, the salon is large enough to accommodate several chefs simultaneously, and is equipped with a Miele cooktop, Miele speed oven and full-sized refrigerator. The galley’s countertop bar also has three stools and is sure to be a gathering spot after hours.

We recently reported on the construction process for the Horizon PC52, “This open-water capable powercat has one-piece hull lamination and longitudinal stringers for added backbone, and the hull is built with the trademarked SCRIMP process for improved strength without added weight. It also has a high-density, foam-cored construction for the bottom and topsides, solid fiberglass laminate for the stem and keel, and high-density foam-cored stringers for the power cat’s Cummins diesels. For strength with reduced top weight, Horizon Power Catamarans uses foam-cored reinforcement in the deck and superstructure.”

$2 million Powerball ticket sold in Florida. Where did the lucky winner buy it?

A Florida lottery player is set to get a big windfall after scoring $2 million in the Powerball game.

The lucky person won big after buying a ticket that matched all but one number picked in the March 18 drawing. Since the person paid an extra dollar for the Power Play option, the prize doubled from $1 million to $2 million, according to Powerball drawing results and game rules.

The winning numbers were: white balls 10-17-20-39-44, with Powerball number 16.

The $2 million ticket — which matched all five white balls picked in the drawing — was sold at the Stop & Save Food Store in Tampa, the Florida Lottery told McClatchy News in a March 19 email.

The Florida ticket holder just missed the larger jackpot prize , an estimated $656 million at the time of the drawing. But the person still beat 1-in-11.6 million odds to score $2 million, the largest prize won in the country that night, according to the Powerball website.

The Florida Lottery didn’t immediately share whether the winner cashed in on the $2 million prize. If the prize is still unclaimed, the winner has about six months to come forward .

What to know about Powerball

To score a jackpot in the Powerball , a player must match all five white balls and the red Powerball.

The odds of scoring the jackpot prize are 1 in 292,201,338.

Tickets cost $2 and can be bought on the day of the drawing, but sales times vary by state.

Drawings are broadcast Saturdays, Mondays and Wednesdays at 10:59 p.m. ET and can be streamed online .

Powerball is played in 45 states, Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

BAT to buy back $895 mln shares in 2024 after ITC share sale

BAT's lack of share buybacks has put downward pressure on its stock since it disappointed the market by halting them last year. It said at the time it wanted to focus on reducing debt and investing in new products.

Shareholders also put pressure on BAT to reduce its stake in Indian conglomerate ITC to help it reduce its debt to its target range and to resume buybacks sooner.

Its shares rose around 3.5%, extending gains made a day earlier when news of an imminent ITC stake sale broke. They were up 3.1% as of 1232 GMT.

BAT said it would dispose of up to 437 million ordinary shares in ITC to institutional investors via an accelerated book build, cutting the Dunhill cigarette maker's shareholding to about 25.5% from about 29%.

The term sheet showed the company would sell the shares for 384-400.25 rupees per share, valuing the sale at $2 billion.

"With this transaction BAT can accelerate the start of a sustainable buyback," CEO Tadeu Marroco said, adding the company's remaining stake in ITC would continue to generate value for shareholders.

The company plans to buy back shares over a period ending December 2025, it said in a statement, starting with some 700 million pounds worth in 2024.

"Sustainable share buybacks" would now form one of four elements of its capital allocation plan, it continued, alongside reducing its net debt to within a new range of 2-2.5 times adjusted EBITDA.

Its previous target range was 2-3 times.

OL Groupe announces sale of Seattle Reign FC for $58 million

LYON, France (AP) — OL Groupe, the holding company organized around seven-time French champion Lyon, on Monday said it has signed an agreement with a group including the Seattle Sounders and global investment firm Carlyle for the sale of Seattle Reign FC.

The holding company said it will sell its entire stake, representing 97% of the club’s share capital.

“The sale price is $58 million for 100% of the shares,” OL Groupe said.

It said the transaction is subject to approval by the National Women’s Soccer League and Major League Soccer Board of Governors.

The Reign was purchased by OL Groupe in 2019 for approximately $3.5 million.

OL Groupe said the sale is part of the group’s strategy of refocusing on men’s soccer.

“OL Groupe is delighted with this transaction as it ensures a locally-led group will continue OL Groupe’s successful development of the Seattle franchise,” the holding said.

OL Groupe has been part of the Eagle Football Holdings controlled by American businessman John Textor since December 2022. The Lyon owner also has stakes in Premier League team Crystal Palace, Belgian club RWD Molenbeek and Brazil’s Botafogo.
