The Schiffart Yachtcharter is a full-service yacht charter company in Terherne on the Sneekermeer. A great location at the heart of the Frisian lake region. Our family business contains a yacht wharf, yacht rental company, yacht marina and a water sports shop. We have built up a very varied fleet over the years, meaning there is a suitable boat for every type of water sports enthusiasts. This fleet includes; sturdy compact cabin motorboats ( Doerakken , Brûzers ), modern cruisers , boats with spacious open cabin , royal class cutter yachts , luxurious Super Lauwersmeers and spacious 2+2 yachts .

Ideally located charter harbour in Holland

Terherne is a fantastic boat departure point as a result of its central location in the Friesian waters, on the Sneekermeer and near Sneek.

No boating license required

You will not need a boating licence for our boats. It goes without saying everyone going out on our boats will be given a full technical explanation before departure.

A harbour with plenty of extras

The harbour boasts some excellent sanitary facilities, power and water at the jetties and parking spaces for tenants on our own private site, right next to the harbour.

Non-stop-service

Our yachts are all in top condition. However, should you experience any problems whilst you are on the water: no problem at all, our technical service staff will be with you in a flash!

Rent a motorboat for 2 to 8 people

2-4 persons.

For someone who is new to watersporting, the Doerak is an ideal motorboat for cruising in Friesland. But the Doerak is also a suitable motorboat for more experienced skippers. The boat is compact, but thanks to its form it is spacious inside. Each Doerak has a bow thruster, which means they are very easy to manoeuvre!

2-5 persons

The Brûzer is a robust motorboat with classic lines, which is easy to sail. With its unique form the boat offers a lot of space inside, while remaining compact. This means that this motorboat offers the possibility of many cruising routes and you can discover all of Friesland's waterways!

2-8 persons.

Experience a marvellous holiday on the water with a number of people. Our modern cruisers offer plenty of space, luxury and steering comfort. The perfect motorboat for 2-8 people. The Kruiser is a great boat for discovering Friesland in company!

Prefer a slightly more special motoryacht? Then a luxury motorboat with an open cockpit is a great choice. Suitable for 2-4 persons and just a bit different from the average rental boat. A cruising holiday becomes even more fun and relaxing with one of these motorboats!

The Kotter-Yacht

Rent a motoryacht with all the family, or even 2 families. This yacht has a very spacious interior, and the space is cleverly allocated to offer plenty of privacy, generous fixed berths and a shower and toilet both fore and aft. Cruise Friesland in style!

4-6 persons.

When we talk about a 2+2 motoryacht we mean, two completely equal cabins. Namely, two bathrooms (with toilet and shower) and two spacious bedrooms, each with a generous double bed. These luxury yachts are particularly suitable for two couples.

The luxury motorboats are for those who want to enjoy cruising, but want to do so with every convenience you can get into a boat. For example, central heating, double glazing, bow and stern thrusters, generous beds and bathrooms, and of course an attractive design!

Where can I cruise to with my motorboat?

Cruising on a motorboat is naturally not as fast as driving a car. This can sometimes make it difficult to judge distances. From our marina in Terherne via the Sneekermeer to Sneek takes approximately 1 hour. The cruising area that is permitted with our ships is: Friesland (Sailing is only permitted on the IJsselmeer for ships longer than 12 metres and equipped with an IJsselmeer package), Overijssel, Groningen and Drenthe.

Prachtige wintertrip Vanzelfsprekend werkte alles naar behoren aan boord. Alles was keurig schoon en de inventaris voorzag in alles voor deze geslaagde midweek. De Iris is ruim bemeten voor twee personen, vaart koerstabiel en is makkelijk te manoeuvreren met haar boeg en hekschroef. Heerlijk gevaren Boot was van alle gemakken voorzien voor een heerlijke vaartocht. Keuken goed uitgerust, koken ging prima. Daarnaast is de boegschroef is een welkome aanvulling om het manoeuvreren makkelijker te maken. Ook het zeil over de stuurhut werkt erg fijn en kan je in delen los of vast maken, afhankelijk van het weer. Na lang varen wordt het motorgeluid wel eentonig, maar dan kan je altijd even vastleggen of dobberen op het water. 5,0 Sebastiaan

Heerlijke boot vakantie De lady Marlice is voor twee personen een ruime boot. Daar de boot 2,45 M hoog is, kun je ermee mooie alternatieve routes mee varen. De boot vaart heel gemakkelijk. Onderweg werd vaak gezegd: wat hebben jullie een mooie boot. Dus algemeen: een heerlijk, goed varende boot, voor een heerlijke vakantie op het water. 5,0 Aad Sijtsma

Heerlijke week We hadden prachtig weer en hebben een heerlijke week gehad met het rondje West Friesland. Ruime, goed uitgeruste boot . Heerlijk achterdek. Tot een volgende keer. 4,4 Karin

vakantie met de lady belle heerlijke vakantie gehad met de lady belle, fijn klein schip waar je mee in de kleinere wateren kan komen ivm geringe doorvaart hoogte. 4,8 Rob de Koe

Heerlijk schip Prima schip om mee te varen. Manoeuvreert gemakkelijk en is uitermate geluidsarm. Voldoende ruimte voor twee personen. Mooie "salon" en een prima slaapvertrek. Doorvaarhoogte perfect voor de kleinere wateren. Ik kan het schip van harte aanbevelen. 4,6 Henk Bouwknegt

Alles wat we ons konden wensen Echt een heel comfortabel schip! De aanpassing om op het achterdek een zitbank te plaatsen en een grote dektent was een extra verrassing. Die was nog niet zichtbaar op de website toen we het schip huurden. Het heeft echt gemaakt dat we alle vaaruren gezellig samen konden zitten ondanks de kou buiten. 's avonds was de salon meer dan ruim genoeg om gezellig te tafelen en spelletjes te spelen. De slaapplaatsen zijn ruim en lang genoeg. Sanitair en kombuis waren erg netjes en lieten ook allemaal het gevoel... 5,0 Jan-Willem Wolters

Heerlijke week Geweldige vaarweek gehad vooral omdat we het erg getroffen hebben met het weer. De Lady Jo-Ann is een fijne boot om mee te varen, manoeuvreert makkelijk met zijn kop- en hekschroef ondanks zijn lengte en breedte. Achterhut is zeer ruim, het vooronder viel echter tegen aangezien we met vier volwassenen waren. We hebben dan ook gekozen om op de eettafel ( om te bouwen als tweepersoonsbed) te gaan slapen. De contacten over de boot waren prettig en de service goed. Zeker aan te bevelen. 4,4 Martin

Zoals altijd weer perfect Al heel wat jaren huren wij, in verschillende samenstellingen, boten bij Nautica. En in al die tijd is er nog nooit iets op aan te merken geweest. Prettige omgang met verhuurder, comfortabele boten en alles is altijd schoon, fris, netjes en compleet. Ze zijn ook verrassend makkelijk te varen, ondanks de flinke omvang. En natuurlijk is het vaargebied echt schitterend. Misschien verderop in het jaar weer en anders zeker volgend jaar weer. 5,0 Jeroen

Genoten van dit schip Mooi rondspant goed varend schip! Schoon van binnen en buiten bij aankomst. Ontvangen met duidelijke uitleg over het schip. De gehele week heerlijk gevaren. Fijn en ruim zitcomfort in de stuurhut en leefruimte. Volledig openslaande deuren naar achteren waardoor met de kuip en binnen 1 groot geheel wordt. Hek en boeg schroef zijn fijn. En aftanken in de thuishaven maakte het erg makkelijk. Fijn en dank Nautica! 4,8 Gertjan

Onze HouseBoat is praktisch, zeer comfortabel en biedt ruimte aan 6 personen. De woonruimte is voorzien van een moderne keuken en biedt tevens toegang tot het ‘terras aan het water’.

Door het vele glas rondom kunt u volop genieten van de natuur en de schoonheid om u heen. Wat een beleving! Met de HouseBoat kunt u gerust een week aan boord verblijven zonder een haven te bezoeken. De boot is volledig autonoom en dat maakt dat er echt even uit bent. Desgewenst mét een sloep en/of supboards voor extra vakantieplezier.

U mag de boot zelf varen, hiervoor is vaarervaring een pre en bij geen ervaring is verplaatsing mogelijk, dit in overleg. Voor de HouseBoat heeft u echter geen vaarbewijs nodig. Ziet u het niet zitten om zelf te varen dan bieden wij kosteloos een vaarservice aan. Indien u de HouseBoat een midweek of weekend huurt verblijft u op één vaste locatie, bij het huren van een week is een enkele verplaatsing kosteloos inbegrepen. Indien u een extra verplaatsing wenst is dit tegen betaling mogelijk.

Did you know that in Friesland almost all freight was transported by water in the past? And that public transport also largely went by water? And why is Sneek actually called Waterstad..? See, read and hear all about it in the Fries Scheepvaart Museum.

Near the Waterpoort is the fountain by artist Stephan Balkenhol. On a golden sphere in the middle of the water stands a man with a Cornucopia. The statue refers to Fortuna, the goddess of fortune and the patroness of cities, families and peoples.

With its octagonal towers and bridge, the symbol of Sneek. Did you know that the clock is always 5 minutes ahead? This dates from the time when the Waterpoort still belonged to the city wall around the city. Then people would have enough time to leave or enter the city in time. Because at night everything was locked.

The Grote or Martinikerk is located on a mound in the center of Sneek. Nearly 1,000 years old and with a checkered history of collapse, austerity and reconstruction. Could it be because the Frisian freedom fighter 'Grutte Pier' is buried here?

Lovers of culture, music and art can indulge themselves in Sneek. Within walking distance of each other in the center you will find a theater, pop stage and arts center. Together they form Cultuur Kwartier Sneek.

The rich times of Sneek are clearly reflected in the facade of the City Hall. The beautiful baroque platform and facade in rococo style are examples of prosperity. The facade houses many hidden messages and reads like a picture book. Well worth a look.

Sneek is the cradle of clothing group C&A. The first C&A store was founded in 1841 by two men: Clemens and August Brenninkmeijer. The statue 'Lapkepoep and Frisian farmer' is a reminder of this.

What you really shouldn’t miss in Sneek

Waterpoort sneek.

The Waterpoort in Sneek is the most famous icon of the city. With its octagonal towers and bridge, this water gate is the symbol of Sneek. If you take a cruise on the canals you will sail under the Waterpoort. Come and discover the Waterpoort with your own eyes!

This largest inland sailing event in Europe starts on the first Saturday of August and is preceded by the naval review on Friday evening. The Sneekweek is not only a must for the true sailing fan but also for people who just love fun and conviviality. The (outdoor) cafés, the music, the fair; in short, the Sneekweek is one big party!

Sneekermeer

The Sneekermeer is the water sports hotspot of Friesland. Of course during the Sneekweek, with about 700 sailing boats, one of the largest sailing competitions on European inland waters, but also around it. At the Sneekermeer you can enjoy the beach or one of the terraces on the water. Cycle around the lake or rent a sloop or sup and discover the lake and the pools around it.

Zwei tolle Wochen auf der Lady Jo Die Lady ist trotz ihrer 20 Jahre bestens in Schuss. Sie hat gerade erst einen neuen -leisen- Motor spendiert bekommen. Sie erreicht damit eine für Mietboote ungewöhnliche Spitzengeschwindigkeit von 15 km/h, liegt auch bei schlechtem und sehr windigen Wetter "wie ein Brett im Wasser" und lässt sich sehr einfach steuern. Die Sprayhood ist genauso neu, wie die umlaufenden Lederpolster an Oberdeck und sämtliche Polster unter Deck. Es gibt zwei elektrische Toiletten und eine separate, sehr geräumige... 5,0 Uwe Plaas

Sehr schönes Boot Da wir nur zu zweit unterwegs waren, wollten wir eingentlich ein kleineres Boot bei Nautica chartern. Diese waren aber leider alle schon vergeben und so sind wir zur Lady Jaquelyn gekommen. Kurzum es ist ein sehr schön gebautes Boot. Die Türen zwischen dem Salon und dem Achterdeck lassen sich komplett aufklappen, so dass man einen Durchgang von nahezu der gesamten Salonbreite hat. Fantastisch Wir hatten das Boot eine Woche mit 2 Personen. Es war bereits unser 2. Urlaub mit Nautica. Alles war wunderbar, wir hatten keine Probleme. Ein großer Vorteil des Boots ist die geringe Höhe von weniger als 2,5 m, daher kann man durch die meisten Brücken einfach durchfahren.
