GALLANT LADY

The 161-foot  GALLANT LADY , with an aluminum hull and composite superstructure, is the definition of casual elegance. Long oval windows create a distinctive profile and dramatic interior features. Exquisite control of proportion and line maintains harmony between the four decks. The hallmark of her design is the inspired flow throughout her rooms and decks, and the harmonious relationship of space. An entrance salon welcomes all with gracious informality; a single staircase transports guests from the grandeur of the foyer to the intimacy of the sun deck lounge. To accommodate her owner’s request for close-in intracoastal cruising, she has a mere 6-foot, 10-inch draft and is capable of extraordinary beach access for a yacht of this size. To ensure the peacefulness of the four suites, their floors and walls are suspended from the yacht’s structural frame on special vibration-absorbing mounts. Sound is further dampened through high-tech construction techniques that employ a sandwich of acoustic materials. The padded-silk wall coverings above the mahogany chair rail are the final strategic element, soaking up any last traces of ambient noise. The curved wall at the back of the stair column not only looks beautiful, but cutting-edge materials beneath the silk upholstery absorb noise that might otherwise travel between decks. Motor Yacht

Luxury motor yacht Gallant Lady was built in 2007 by Dutch shipyard Feadship. With an aluminium hull and aluminium and composite superstructure, she features exterior design by De Voogt Naval Architects and the interior work of John Munford. This twin screw yacht measures 51.21 metres and can accommodate up to 10 guests.

Motor yacht Gallant Lady is owned by Jim and Jan Moran who have commissioned a number of other projects over the last 50 years including a total of seven Feadships. The super yacht follows in the footsteps of a number of other Gallant Ladys, each of which has carried its own signature style with exterior design ideas from Jim Moran and his wife overseeing the interior.

Her exterior profile is reminiscent of the previous ship by the same name but also incorporates the latest developments from the shipyard in regards to complex shapes. Distinctively, she displays a pointed oval design of the forward section of her three superstructure decks, blessing her with a slightly sleeker appearance.

The luxury vessel was constructed in the De Vries yard and was built to be shallow enough to allow it to rest at a dock behind the Moran’s’ home and also cruise the inland waterways there.

She was built to be as ecologically friendly as possible, featuring a Rochem bio-reactive sewage treatment plant that uses no chemicals, and every drop of water and waste is plumbed into a tank where tiny organisms consume all the useful matter.

Motor yacht Gallant Lady’s upper decks are a combination of lightweight and high-tech composites. Seventeen types of stone are used in the interior décor, including marble, granite and quartzite, while a palette of three woods (black walnut, myrtle burl, and eucalyptus) were used throughout the main areas. The interior was carefully designed to a strict weight budget using aircraft interior techniques.

The main deck houses a glamorous dining salon raised four-steps above deck, while a club lounge sits above, decorated in blue leather. The master suite is also found on this level and features a private alfresco area, Jacuzzi, and master bath with a sun-filled space or “solarium” with almost floor-to-ceiling windows.

Luxury yacht Gallant Lady is powered by two Caterpillar 3508B-DITA engines that allow her to reach a maximum speed of 15 knots. She can achieve a range of 4,200 nautical miles while cruising at a speed of 12 knots. The yacht cruises comfortably at 12 knots while her crew of 12 ensure the needs of every guest are met.

The third Gallant Lady was far more of a yacht - the previous two Gallant Ladys being a Sports Fisherman. In 1984, the owner invited a team from Feadship to come on board his yacht at the time with one simple question: ''Can you build something like this - but better?' The resulting 40.07m Gallant Lady launched a year later, had more of a Feadship flavor to it than its predecessor, especially in the styling of the bow and the cockpit design.

The Shipyard Work & Naval Architecture for Luxury Yacht GALLANT LADY

De Voogt Naval Architects was the naval architect involved in the professional superyacht plans for GALLANT LADY. Her interior design was realised by Paola D Smith. De Voogt Naval Architects and Rick Jorden is also associated with the yacht general design work for this yacht. In 1995 she was actually launched with accolade in Aalsmeer and following sea trials and final completion was afterwards passed on to the owner who commissioned her. The Feadship De Vries Shipyard completed their new build motor yacht in the Netherlands. Her hull was constructed with steel. The motor yacht superstructure is made largely from aluminiumandgrp. With a beam of 9.91 m or 32.5 ft GALLANT LADY has spacious room. She has a fairly shallow draught of 2.68m (8.8ft). She had refit maintenance and alteration work carried out by 2008.

Installed with twin CATERPILLAR diesel main engines, GALLANT LADY can attain a high speed of 15 knots. For propulsion GALLANT LADY has twin screw propellers. She also has an economical range of 5700 nautical miles whilst sailing at her cruise speed of 13 knots. Her total HP is 1920 HP and her total Kilowatts are 1413. With respect to thrusters she utilises Holland Roer. With respect to the ship’s stabalisers she was built with Vosper.

Gallant Lady is a wonderful classic 65 foot wooden vessel from 1940. Her hull is close grained fir, her upper structure teak, and her interior mahogany.

She boasts five double cabins, two heads, a ship’s library stocked with books of fiction, area wildlife, history, and geology, a roomy wheelhouse so you can take a turn at the wheel, and level spacious decks to enjoy the clean salt air.

Gallant Lady has had four owners, and has the unique distinction of being one of the oldest vessels in continuous service on Northwest waters. 52m Feadship Gallant Lady emerges after year-long refit

The 52.46 metre Gallant Lady is en route to Rotterdam following a full-scale refit at Feadship's Aalsmeer shipyard. The yacht entered the refit shed almost a year ago and is set to be redelivered in the coming weeks after the successful completion of sea trials.

The yacht has undergone significant work to both her interior and exterior and the yard has also performed scheduled maintenance and technical upgrades to bring her up to 2022 standards.

In a statement, Feadship described the refit as "intensive". The yard hasn't disclosed all of the specifics of the work, but it has said that the interior has been "completely reconfigured".

The yacht has also benefitted from new alfresco areas, including a the addition of a new beach club and reconfigured flybridge. 

Gallant Lady was delivered in 1996 to a design by Rick Jorden with interiors by Paola D. Smith. Her striking profile features a contrast of horizontal and vertical segments of glazing, and, unusually for a yacht of this size, is home to a flybridge with a control station. 

Meanwhile, the yacht's interiors have been kept under wraps since she hit the water, however it is known they follow a classic theme.

It comes at a busy time for Feadship, with the yard having recently redelivered Mogambo fresh from an eight-month refit .

A design that was considered unfathomable in the mid-1990s changed how yachts were constructed thanks to the innovation of Jim Moran and JM Family Enterprises. The signature of Gallant Lady is three two-story windows. Believe it or not, Gallant Lady is not one but many yachts owned and operated by the private South Florida corporation. Here is everything you need to know about Gallant Lady Yacht. 

Who Owns The Gallant Lady Yacht

When asked who owns Gallant Lady Yacht know that you are referring to more than one vessel sharing the same name. The late Mr. Jim Moran, a businessman from Chicago, established JM Family Enterprises in Deerfield Beach. Since Mr. Moran’s passing, the Gallant Lady yacht owner 2021 is JM Family Enterprises.

JM Family Enterprises is a distributor of Toyota vehicles throughout the Southeastern portions of the United States. Since its inception, the company has been wildly successful and has owned a substantial number of yachts since 1968. 

Today, the company employs over 4,000 people and boasts a marine and aviation department. The marine and aviation departments focus specifically on the maintenance, operation, and hosting of guests aboard the series of yachts and jets. 

Despite Jim Moran founding the company and being known as Jim Moran yacht owner, he also began a series of charitable organizations within the South Florida community.

How Many Vessels Are In The Gallant Lady Fleet

The number of yachts under the JM Family umbrella varies based on the year, as they are notorious for buying and selling vessels. 

On average, the company owns between three and five vessels exceeding thirty feet in length. When it comes the length the largest yacht in the fleet measures 172 feet. The yacht complete construction in 1996 by Feadship.

In addition to the large vessel, two to three tenders are an intricate part of the fleet. All vessels are name Gallant Lady.

How Much Is The Gallant Lady Yacht Worth

The yachts vary in value ranging from the hundred thousand dollar mark in access of thirty million dollars. 

Today, the two most valuable yachts under the company ownership are a 168 foot Feadship constructed in 2007 and a 172 foot Feadship constructed in 1996. Despite the similarities in appearance on the outside, the interiors and materials used in construction are vastly different. 

The 172 and 168-foot Feadships are constructed with steel hulls; however, the structure forming the upper decks is built opposite as far as materials are concerned.  A key difference between the vessels is the formation of the super structure. One utilizes steel while the other aluminum.

In addition to the vast difference in weight when comparing steel versus aluminum, additional efforts were made to reduce the draft. 

Again, when comparing the two yachts despite the nearly identical appearance. Lightweight materials makeup the yachts interior to allow the vessel to enter more shallow waters.  

Can You Charter The Gallant Lady

The Gallant Lady yachts are not available for charter. In the yachting industry, the vast majority of are available for charter to help cover annual operating costs between fuel, maintenance, crew, and other expenses. 

Charters operate significantly different than privately owned vessels. Despite Gallant Lady being operated by a corporation. The people chartering the watercraft are the decision-makers for destinations, food, and entertainment. Essentially, depending on how much the guest will spend, the more extravagant the journey is. 

Guests of the vessels are by invitation only and include business partners, company associates, and donors to charitable organizations operated by JM Family Enterprises. Unlike charters, the guests are flown to where the boat is docked or anchored and guided as to daily experiences while aboard. However, this does not mean that invitees lack the novelties of the most exclusive charters. 

The Feadships accommodate up to ten guests with more than 11 crew members per yacht. Guest cabin space includes four staterooms and one main suite on each of the two Gallant Lady yachts. 

What Is The Gallant Lady Yacht Location

South Florida between Deerfield Beach and Ft. Lauderdale, Florida are home to Gallant Lady yachts. 

As you can imagine, vessels measuring more than 150 feet require deep water marinas with ample dockage space. One of the largest marinas is Bahia Mar, which provides dockage space when the vessels are not traveling. 

When the Gallant Lady boats are traveling they stop in destinations including the Bahamas, Caribbean, Jacksonville, Charleston, and the Northeast.

The smaller Gallant Lady yachts are docked at varying South Florida marinas. When traveling, one to two vessels support the yacht by taking guests fishing on the Viking Gallant Lady fishing boat, cruising, to restaurants, snorkeling, and sightseeing. 

Considering the number of boats in the fleet, the crew is substantial in size. Watercraft require significant maintenance; therefore, the crew constantly shifts to ensure all vessels are in tip-top shape.

The name Saratov may be derived from Sary Tau, meaning “Yellow Mountain” in the Tatar language. Another version of the name origin derives it from the words Sar Atau, which means the “Boggy Island”.

Administrative divisions of Saratov:

Saratov is the administrative center of the oblast, within the framework of administrative divisions, it also serves as the administrative center of Saratovsky District. Within the regional administrative structure of the region, Saratov is a city of regional importance.

As part of the organization of local self-government, the city, together with all seventy nine settlements of the Saratov region, forms a single municipal entity.

Saratov’s districts:

There are six districts in the city:

• Volzhsky district.
• Factory area.
• Kirovsky district.
• Leninsky district.
• Oktyabrsky district.
• Frunzensky district.

Saratov’s population :

Together with Engels and other settlements, the city forms a conglomerate of 1.15-1.2 million people. Moreover, there are proposals to unite the two cities Saratov and Engels into one millionth city.

Transportation :

Saratov Gagarin Airport which was opened in 20 August 2019 replacing Saratov Tsentralny Airport serves the city. The airport handles flights to both international and domestic destinations. Saratov West is a general aviation airfield.

Motorways and railways:

Motorways connect the city directly to all of: Volgograd, Samara, and also Voronezh. On the other hand, the railways also play an important role. The Privolzhskaya Railway is headquartered in Saratov.

In fact, due to the city’s location on the Volga, the river itself is an important inland waterway.

In addition to above, both of the Buses and trolleybuses form the backbone of public transport in the city.

Where did Saratov city have its importance from?

Saratov is a city of regional importance and is the administrative center of the oblast of the same name. Together with the Saratov region, this city forms a municipal formation with the status of an urban district. It serves as major cultural, economic and educational center of the Volga region. Included in the twenty largest cities of Russia, and not a millionth city, it is at the same time the center of the Saratov agglomeration, whose population exceeds 1.2 million residents according to the latest census.

In the same vein, Saratov Oblast is highly industrialized, due in part to the richness in natural and industrial resources of the area. It is also one of the more important and largest cultural and scientific centers in the Russian federation. Moreover, the oblast possesses six institutes of the Russian Academy of Sciences, twenty one research institutes, ninteen project institutes, as well as the Saratov State University, the State Socio-Economic University, the Saratov State Technical University, and many scientific and technological laboratories attached to some of the city’s large industrial enterprises.
