Welcome! IYC was founded in 1970 by a group of sailboat racers who wanted to offer the best possible value in a yacht club. We are an all-volunteer, non-profit club open to anyone interested in sailing, power boating and on-the-water activities. IYC members enjoy reciprocal privileges at yacht clubs throughout the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond.

Social Membership
Social members enjoy the full suite of Island Yacht Club amenities, including: watersports, tennis, volleyball, dining, special events, wilderness trails and child care. Social members are also able to borrow canoes, paddleboats and club sailboats on a daily sign-out basis at no cost.

To obtain an application or information about membership at the club, please contact our Business Manager, Lauren Davies, via the email link or by calling 239-472-4133, ext 4. A CIYC member must provide the applicant with an application packet. This member becomes the proposer.

The membership of the Mackinac Island Yacht Club establishes the maximum number of members at each Annual Meeting. At the present time there are 310 members. About a quarter of them are year-round or summer residents of Mackinac Island. Members can view our current initiation fee and annual dues on the Members Only page.
