Achieve your Level 1 and 2 RYA Powerboat qualification. Our two-day course includes the basic powerboat Level 1 that will equip you with the skills and knowledge needed to be a competent powerboat driver. Then moves on to Level 2 which focuses on high and low-speed driving, launching, mooring and anchoring maneuvers. Our harbour-side classroom is the ideal location for learning navigation and passage planning. With a maximum of 3 people to an instructor, you can be sure to get a personal approach to your course.

Many of the boats used on our days out are actually used in tournament, races such as the Zap Cat boats and Honda series. This means that you are going to be going for a spin in some of the quickest vessels that ride the sea! Our variety is unrivalled for powerboat experiences. We offer experiences such as the thrilling Zapcat experiences. This is where you are a passenger driven around by a qualified driver, that will perform the trickiest stunts to really get your head spinning. These are usually on Rigid Inflatable Boats (RIB) or on double hull powerboats, where you be assisted when taking the controls of the wheel for the best experience possible. Our alternative type of experiences are aimed towards a full on class on how to handle and drive a powerboat. Our knowledgeable instructors will teach all of the following skills over the course of a couple of days: • Figure of eights at very fast speeds • taking a powerboat back into the dock and station • Learning the fundamentalsof coming into and driving through the harbour • The infamous man over board retrieval training • Trained how to use and manage the Anchor as well as knot tying At the end on a 2 day course you will be fully permitted to travel on a powerboat out on your own! What happens on the day for Bournemouth Zap Cat Powerboats?

Two Hour Zap Cat Experience: Departing Bournemouth our instructor will take you for a thrilling ride in both a Zap Cat and a 250bhp RIB powerboat. Then, weather permitting it's your turn to drive! Feel the G-force whilst experiencing jaw-dropping big air jumps, and high speed turns. The thrilling Zap Cat Powerboat Experience lasts around two hours for groups, and guests are on the water for the majority of the session. The Zap Cats and RIB support boats pull up close enough for riders to hop between vessels at sea, so no going back between rides!

Five Hour 'Ultimate' Zap Cat Experience: Board two RIBS and head into the Solent with two Zap Cats following. While the RIBS blast around the bay creating wakes for the Zap Cats to jump, guests take turns co-piloting the exhilarating Zaps. You'll be immersed in the action, moving around the nose, optimising performance and preventing flipping using counter-balance - this really gets the adrenaline pumping. After a couple of hours play on the Zaps the group will be ready for refreshment. Back on board the RIBS your group will zip across the Solent, to Yarmouth on the Isle of Wight, taking in the beautiful Alum Bay & Needles Park coastline. Docking in Yarmouth you'll disembark for a spot of lunch before returning at high speed across the Solent.

Half Day Boat Hire in Poole, Dorset

Starting from Poole Quay Boat Haven. Cruise out through the beautiful Poole Harbour past Sandbanks - the South’s millionaires row. On leaving the harbour we will take an exhilarating cruise passing sandbanks beach then on to Bournemouth pier. We will then head towards old Harry rocks taking in the start of the Jurassic coast finally anchoring up in Studland Bay for a bite of lunch and a quick swim.

Half Day Boat Hire for the Jurassic Coastline.

Cruise out through Poole Harbour then passing Brownsea Island and Sandbanks. We then head on to Old Harry Rocks the start of the world heritage site of the Jurassic coast and then on to Ballard Down. We then head around to Durlston Head to Dancing Ledge via Tilly Whim Caves and Anvil Point lighthouse then onto Chapman’s Pool where we can weigh anchor for a bite of lunch and then a fast cruise back to Poole harbour.

Full Day Boat Hire for the Jurassic Coastline.

As above but continue to Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door via Chapmans Pool and Kimmeridge Bay then onto Weymouth the home of the Olympic sailing venue we can then tie up in Weymouth and have lunch ashore in one of the many bars or restaurants or grab fish and chips on-board and take in the sites and sounds of this busy quay then return to Poole.

Full Day Boat Hire for the Isle of Wight.

We start from Poole Quay Boat Haven. Cruise out through the beautiful Poole Harbour past Brownsea Island and Sandbanks the South’s millionaires’ row on leaving the harbour we will take a cruise passing sandbanks beach with its award winning blue flags.

Cruise over to the Isle of Wight, stop off in Yarmouth and have lunch in one of the many bars and restaurants or drop anchor in Alum Bay and lunch on-board.
