Idéalement situé en plein coeur de la ville, sur le vieux port de La Rochelle l'hôtel le Yachtman vous accueille avec ses 46 chambres spacieuses de 17 à 35 M2 (Découvertes standard avec soit vue sur la ville rue Saint Nicolas soit sur la piscine, Prestiges exécutives donnant pour la plupart sur la cour intérieure et la piscine et Prestiges Mer suites junior face au vieux port ainsi qu'une grande chambre familiale).

Toutes les chambres sont équipées de salle de bain/douche WC complètes avec pour la quasi totalité un plan vasque en marbre grège veiné.Vous trouverez le téléphone et la télévision à écran plat ainsi que pour la majeure partie la climatisation.

Drie sterren hotel met de kwaliteit van vijf sterren. De vriendelijke service was top.

De ligging van het hotel kan niet beter. Aan de haven, met heel veel restaurants. Het hotel is recent gerenoveerd, de gangen zien er bijvoorbeeld prachtig uit. De ontbijtzaal komt hopelijk binnenkort aan de beurt. Het ontbijt zelf was zeer uitgebreid en lekker. De airco deed het om onduidelijke redenen niet voldoende tijdens ons verblijf, er kwamen vanuit de receptie wat wisselende verhalen over de reden. Met de ramen open was het overigens prima te doen op onze kamer. Het hotel heeft eigen parkeerplaatsen in een nabij gelegen parkeergarage. Vooraf reserveren. Je kunt voor de deur van het hotel eerst 20 minuten parkeren om in te checken en je spullen uit te laden. Je wordt vervolgens door iemand van het personeel (bij je in de auto) begeleid naar de parkeergarage want dat is lastig zelfstandig te vinden door éénrichtingswegen. Maar uiteindelijk blijkt het op slechts een paar minuten lopen van het hotel te zijn.

Uitstekende uitvalsbasis voor een bezoek aan deze prachtige stad. Het hotel ligt in het midden van de Oude Haven met een uniek zicht op de beroemde torens (centraler kan haast niet ! ). Het ontbijt is heel goed (uitgebreider dan verwacht).

Hotel met renovatie in progress. Aankleding zwembad en ontbijtzaal zijn hopelijk ook snel aan de beurt. Zeer attend personeel, heerlijke kamer en bedden.

La Rochelle : le platane de l’hôtel de ville est en place

Un platane a été planté lundi place de l’Hôtel-de-Ville. Un autre devrait être installé cour du Temple

Lundi 18 mars 2024, en fin d’après-midi, le maire de La Rochelle Jean-François Fountaine et l’élue en charge de la biodiversité Chantal Vetter ont enfin pu procéder à la plantation d’un platane , place de l’Hôtel-de-Ville. Quelques jours avant, les services avaient réalisé la fosse pour l’accueillir, mais il restait toujours l’incertitude des réseaux souterrains.

Des contraintes

Avant de choisir l’endroit idéal dans ce secteur historique et sauvegardé, il a fallu sonder le sous-sol truffé de vestiges archéologiques et de réseaux (canal d’évacuation d’eau, gaz, fibre…), étudier les perspectives et les ombres, ne pas parasiter le superbe pavage au sol, ne pas porter atteinte aux façades, respecter les harmonies… Et obtenir le feu vert de l’architecte des Bâtiments de France.

Rustique, le platane peut atteindre plus de 20 mètres. En revanche, il n‘y aura pas de micocoulier place de la Caille comme cela avait été imaginé : trop de réseaux. Mais un autre platane devrait être installé cour du Temple, pour remplacer l’arbre de Judée.
