The Gulet will be available for boarding from 3pm today. However, you may store your luggage at the gulet operator's local office in Fethiye from 11.00am, and then board at 3pm. We will provide joining instructions for where to find the boat in Fethiye Harbour. The rest of the afternoon is free in Fethiye, though a pre-cruise information briefing will take place in the late afternoon. In the evening you will enjoy your first dinner on board while meeting the other passengers. The night will be spent on board the boat in Fethiye harbour.

On board gulet at Fethiye Harbour

After breakfast we'll leave Fethiye harbour and start our Gulet cruise out of the Gulf of Fethiye and sail around the coast of Fethiye Peninsular to the famous beautiful coastal resort village of Oludeniz with its beautiful blue lagoon and wide white Belcekiz Beach. We'll also stop at the nearby nature reserve at Butterfly Valley for a walk and swim. We'll spend the night at St. Nicholas Island where you can explore the ruins of an old Byzantine settlement as the sun sets. Tea, dinner and fruit is served before you can sleep overnight either in your cabin or under the stars on the deck of the boat.

On board gulet at St. Nicholas Island

Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

We start sailing early today and proceed along the coast towards Yesilkoy which has a quiet bay surrounded by Mediterranean shrubland (maquis) and olive groves. We'll have breakfast here and have time to swim in the bay. Then its off to the small harbour town of Kas which has a charming bohemian atmosphere, whitewashed houses and lots of colourful bougainvillea throughout the summer months. The modern town sits on the ancient site of Antiphellos and there are still some visible ruins including a theatre and the 4th century B.C. Lion Tomb. We'll spend the night moored up here.

On board gulet in Kas

Our first stop today is the tiny fishing village of Simena, which is also known as Kalekoy or Kale locally. The vilage has a beautiful setting with fishing boats, ancient and medieaval houses by the shore, with a steep cliff behind and Simena Castle perched above. You can walk up to the castle for great views of the village below, the island of Kekova and the surrounding fields of a Lycian necropolis. Out in the bay, a single Lycian sarcophagus sits on a pedestal in the water, overlooked by a theatre carved into the rock. After spending some time exploring here, we'll spend the night in a wide bay surrounded by green hills at nearby Ucagiz.

On board gulet at Ucagiz

A short cruise along the coast this morning brings us to the island of Kekova which is known both for its beautiful setting and turquoise sea, and also for the sunken city of of the s unken ruins of Dolchiste, an ancient Lycian settlement. The town was partially submerged by a powerful earthquake in the 2nd century, and you can look down from the Gulet and see many of the abandoned and damaged buildings. While you cannot swim here, we'll head next to Tersane Bay where this is definitely possible, and you can look at the ruins of an ancient Byzantine church and a Roman dockyard on the beach. Finally we'll sail on to Gokkaya, another beautiful bay with many tiny offshore islands.

On board gulet at Gokkaya

After breakfast, we take a short cruise to the sheltered bay at Bayindir Limani for a swim. The rest of the day is then spent in Kalkan, which is a picturesque harbour town set on a hillside with the Taurus Mountains as a backdrop and a sweeping bay in front. The harbour is busy with Turkish gulets and small fishing boats, and the historic old town then extends away from the sea with thriving restaurants, boutiques, roof terraces, cobbled streets and shops to explore. You could also take an optional trip to the nearby Patara Beach, which is a national park and one of the Mediterranean's few breeding grounds for turtles which visit between May and October. For history buffs, the ancient city and World Heritage Site of Xamthos, the ancient capital of the Lycians is also close at hand, and the ruins there and at Letoon are well worth a visit.

On board gulet at Kalkan

Breakfast, Dinner, Lunch

After an early start we sail to Camli Burun, a natural bay edged with pine-clad hills. We then continue sailing back towards Fethiye, and your last night on board is spent in Batikkaya Bay. Another day of relaxing, sunbathing, sightseeing and swimming has past.

On board gulet at Battikaya Bay

Our cruise ends today as we say goodbye to our boat crew and disembark the boat af Fethiye Harbour after breakfast this morning.

Accommodation

The hotels and accommodations listed below are the ones we most often use on this tour. From time to time we may exchange these for similar properties at the same level. In general, specific hotels cannot be guaranteed on our group tours, but you may select your preferred options if you are booking a tailor-made trip.

Gulet Cruise

Gulet Cruise

Turkey's Turquoise Coast

Local rating

 Gulet Cruise

Spending a few days on a traditional Turkish gulet (a handmade, motorised wooden yacht) is one of the highlights of exploring Turkey. You can enjoy plenty of swimming and snorkelling and explore loads of natural and historical sites along the way. As you sail you can sunbathe on the deck, or read a book or play games on the cushioned seating in the shadow of the aft deck.

Most of the gullets we use feature an interior salon/bar area and a fully equipped galley. The most common gulets have 4 to 10 double cabins, which can accommodate 8 to 20 people. All cabins have ensuite toilet & shower facilities. Single supplement cabins are not generally available unless we have an odd number of people travelling. This being said, most people choose to sleep under the beautiful Mediterranean sky on mattresses on the deck, and only use their cabins as a wardrobe.

The gulets come with facilities for both outdoor and indoor dining. There are freezers to keep drinks cold, a CD/cassette player (so bring your music!), snorkels and masks, fishing lines and some board games.

A dinghy with outboard, a ship-to-shore radio, mobile telephone and life jackets are also provided. All the gulets are government approved with fully qualified captains.

Our tours are designed to include all that you need to enjoy a really special time in the destination you‘re visiting. However, we do also offer some extra options to complement the tour and add some additional sightseeing or activities, or some extra time at either end of the tour.

All accommodation based options (e.g. Single supplements, extra nights, cruise upgrades) should be booked and paid for in advance so that we can make the appropriate arrangements. Other options may either be booked and paid for in advance or while you are on the tour, though we recommend booking in advance to ensure there are no issues with availability.

Many options are priced the same throughout the year, but some may incur single or high season supplements - full details are given on the tour reservation form or on request.

Single cabin supplement (TUSGFK)

Single cabin supplement (TUSGFK)

Min numbers: 1 *Based on 1 person/s

Due to the style and nature of this cruise and the bedding arrangements in the cabins, we do not arrange room shares between people not travelling together. This option therefore provides a single cabin on board the gulet for the duration of the cruise and should be added by all solo travellers.

Note:  Single supplement prices may vary seasonally.

Spending a few days on a traditional Turkish gulet (a handmade, motorised wooden yacht) is one of the highlights of exploring Turkey. You can enjoy plenty of swimming and snorkelling and explore loads of natural and historical sites along the way. As you cruise you can sunbathe on the deck, or read a book or play games on the cushioned seating in the shadow of the aft deck.

Most of the gullets we use feature an interior salon/bar area, both indoor and outdoor eating areas, and a fully equipped galley. The most common gulets have 4 to 10 double cabins, which can accommodate 8 to 20 people. All cabins have ensuite toilet & shower facilities. Single or twin bedded cabins are not generally available unless we have an odd number of people travelling so be prepared for a same-sex room share if you are travelling alone. This being said, most people choose to sleep under the beautiful Mediterranean sky on mattresses on the deck, and only use their cabins as a wardrobe.

The gulets we use are motorised pleasure craft with sails, and while they can manoevre under sail, the majority of the time the motor will be used. This is particularly the case during July and August when winds are very low. Strong winds also cause them to bank steeply and so time actually under sail is generaly very limited. These are not sailing vessels where you are expected to help with the rigging or take part in sailing as an activity.

You will need to bring your own beach towel, soap, shampoo and other personal items with you. Charging points are available for your electronic devices on deck and in some cabins (you will need to bring an adapter).

Health & Safety: A dinghy with outboard, a ship-to-shore radio, mobile telephone and life jackets are also provided. Lifejackets are stored under your bed inside the cabin. Please keep away from ropes and hawsers while sailing. Do not jump into the sea while the engine is running. In case of fire please check the position of your nearest life jacket and fire extinguisher - alert everybody on board and put on your life jacket immediately. All the gulets we use are government approved with fully qualified captains.

Accessibility: The boats we use are not suitable for passengers with special mobility needs. Embarkation gangways do not fit all types of wheelchairs and cabin bathrooms and staircases have restricted space and are generally unsuitable for people with limited mobility.  If you have other physical disabilities please contact us with any queries. It is expected that any passengers requiring special attention, assistance or treatment will be travelling with an escort.

We are committed to being a small group operator, as we feel this gives everyone in the group the best chance to get to know their fellow travellers and to make the most of their trip. So, we have selected Gulet boats which will allow us to have plenty of space but restrict the group size to a maximum of 16 people.

On Gulet cruises, you will be looked after by the boat captain and their crew. The captain and most crew will speak some English - enough to communicate effectively, if not fluent. We do not send an additional tour guide on our gulet cruises.

Our tours in Turkey use a range of hotels at the local 3, 4 and 5-star level with some boutique style properties also used on some tours. Please check the Accommodation section for more information on the normal hotels used on this tour. This list is given as a guide though and hotels may change from time to time to others of a similar standard. Accommodation levels and hotels are slightly different in Turkey to general Western standards. We regularly inspect all the hotels we use to ensure that the service you receive is as close as possible to your expectations. Please check your hotel room when you first arrive (hot water, cleanliness etc.), as our rep or your guide will be available to assist in case of any problems.

Please check the Single Room Supplement option for details on room sharing options and charges for solo travellers on this tour.

We will contact you with your arrival hotel details normally a couple of weeks before departure.

Check-in Times: Official hotel check- in times in Turkey are between 14.00 and 15.00. However, we do always try to ensure that if you arrive early, you can check into your room as soon as possible. We can nearly always get you into your hotel rooms well before midday, but please understand that it is out of our control if the hotel is full and it takes a little longer. You will have full use of the hotel facilities while you wait if there is a short delay.

Our trips feature a mix of different transport options. We want you to feel like you’re really experiencing the country you’re travelling through, but at the same time we want you to finish journeys refreshed enough to enjoy the next stage of the tour. The distances involved in Turkey mean that we use private vehicles and tourist coaches throughout this tour.

All our Turkey tours (except tours which feature Gulets) include an airport meet and greet and transfer service on the first day of your tour. This is available from/to both of Istanbul's airports; Istanbul Ataturk (IST) and Sabiha Gokcen (SAW). Our representative will be holding an Encounters Travel signboard with your name displayed for easy identification. If you can't find our representative, our emergency contact numbers are given in your tour confirmation voucher.

No refund is available on missed transfers or portions of your trip owing to incorrect flight details being provided or delayed flight arrival. Any additional cost incurred in order to meet up with your group is at your own expense.

If your flights arrive/depart before/after the tour starts/ends then we will be very happy to arrange additional accommodation and airport transfers for you. We will aim to book these in the same hotel as the main tour, though this will be subject to availability (upgraded hotels are also available on request). If you do not book your additional accommodation through us, then our arrival/departure service is not included and you will need to make your own airport transfer arrangements.

Welcome meeting: Our group tours will commence with a welcome meeting at 7pm in the reception of your hotel, where you will have the chance to meet your guide and the rest of your tour group. For those arriving after 7pm, details regarding Day 2 activities will be left at reception.

We want to give you as much flexibility as possible when it comes to booking your holiday with us. So, to take account of people with varying travel plans, we don’t include your international flights in the main tour price. We are however very happy to suggest flights to go with the tour. Please contact us with your preferred dates and departure airport and we’ll give you a selection of airlines, times and fares to choose from.

Your airport arrival & departure transfers are included on the first and last days of the tour. Nearly all our Turkey tours start and finish in Istanbul and are served by Istanbul airport (IST). Transfers from other airports are also available on request but may incur an extra fee.

We do also sometimes advertise flight inclusive packages from selected airports. Where these are shown on our website, prices are correct at the time of quoting, but are subject to continued availability of the fare used. Prices will be reconfirmed at the time of booking, and we will also provide the flight times and airline details before tickets are issued.  Flight inclusive prices are based on the cheapest Economy ticket class available which is generally non-refundable and non-changeable unless the flight is cancelled for reasons such as Covid-19, in which case the airlines are more flexible. More flexible ticket options, as well as Premium Economy and Business Class tickets are available on request for an additional supplement. Any changes made to flight inclusive bookings will be subject to the airline rules on your ticket.

Flight CO2 Emissions:

Traveling by air is an amazing way to explore the world, but flights also contribute to carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions that impact the environment. By considering the airline's CO2 emissions when you choose your flight, you can help minimize your travel footprint.

When selecting your international flights and airline, we do therefore recommend that you try and also take into account the flight CO2 emissions. Some airlines and flight search websites (eg. Google Flights, Skyscanner) do publish this information, so you can compare between your flight options and make an informed decision. Thankfully, many airlines are working towards sustainability efforts, and choosing a greener option allows you to contribute to positive change while still enjoying your incredible adventure.

The tour price includes entrance fees to all the tourist sites mentioned in the itinerary . You will need to cover the cost of entrance to any other extra sites that you may wish to visit (this excludes tours which feature a gulet - on these tours entrance fees are not included and any required entrance fees should be paid locally).

Camera Fees: Photography is restricted in various ways at different sites. Often flash photography is often forbidden to protect the exhibits and ancient pigments, and sometimes cameras are not allowed in at all. Please respect these rules as they are there partly for your benefit. Tickets are not required for normal cameras, but if you have a video camera, if its use is permitted there will normally be a charge.

Tipping or Bahsis (bahk-sheesh) is common practice in Turkey, as a sign of appreciation for services provided for everything from table service in a restaurant to a massage in a Turkish bath. Wages for service staff in Turkey are very low and tips are a necessary supplement to meagre incomes.. Your tour price includes a contribution to various tips that your tour guide and driver will make along the way to ensure the smooth running of your tour.

This tipping kitty does not cover your tour guide or driver though. You may therefore wish to tip them at the end of the time they spend with you.  You should not feel obliged to tip any particular amount, and should consider your personal budget and your satisfaction with the service provided. We are often asked to provide a guide however:

Restaurants and taxis: Local markets and basic restaurants - leave the loose change. For more up-market restaurants we suggest 5% to 10% of your bill.

Local guides: Throughout your trip you may at times have a local guide in addition to your tour guide or tour leader. We suggest around GBP 1.50 / EUR 2.0 / USD 2 per person per day for local guides.

Drivers: You may have a range of private drivers on your trip. Some may be with you for a short journey while others may be with you for several days. We would suggest a higher tip for those more involved with the group however GBP 1.50 / EUR 2 / USD 2 per person per day is generally appropriate.

Gulet Boat Trips: If you are travelling through Southern Turkey on a Gulet boat trip we suggest GBP 1.50 / EUR 2 / USD 2 per person per day for the boat staff.

Tour guide: As a guideline we suggest around GBP 20-35 / USD 35-50 / EUR 25-45 per person for the whole tour, but this is ultimately up to you.

The official language of Turkey is Turkish. In addition, between 10 per cent and 15 per cent of the population speaks a different mother tongue, usually Kurdish or Arabic. Turkish words are spelled with an adapted Roman alphabet. The language is phonetic; each letter has only one sound that is always pronounced distinctly.

You'll find you won't have much of a problem with the language barrier. English is well communicated by many Turks. Below you will find some important phrases that will have you sounding like a Turk in no time!

You should ensure you are fully insured for medical emergencies including emergency evacuation and repatriation .

Recommended vaccinations and other health protection measures vary according to the country you are visiting and where you are travelling from. We recommend you contact your GP/medical practitioner or a travel clinic for current information on vaccinations needed for your destination. You should ensure that you are up to date with vaccines and boosters recommended for your normal life at home, including for example, vaccines required for occupational risk of exposure, lifestyle risks and underlying medical conditions. In addition, additional courses or boosters normally recommended for Turkey are Hepatitis A and Tetanus.

More information is available here: Turkey Malaria map - there is low risk malaria in some south eastern regions, not visited on our tours. Yellow fever certificates are not required.

Passports should be valid for at least six months after your departure from the country. Please do not bring an almost full or almost expired passport. Visa arrangements are the responsibility of the traveller, and requirements are subject to change by the local authorities.

Most foreign nationals require a visa to enter Turkey, and need to obtain it in advance online through http://www.evisa.gov.tr. Applicants just need to log on to the following link, provide the requested information, (after the application is approved) make online payment and download their e-Visa. More information is available here  http://www.mfa.gov.tr/visa-information-for-foreigners.en.mfa

From the 2nd March 2020 all UK nationals will not need to obtain a visa for Turkey (for visits of up to 90 days in each 180 day period). This will also apply to citizens of the Schengen area countries Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands, Spain and Poland.

Turkey Time is GMT plus 2 hours. Daylight saving adjustments of 1 hour are applied, starting at the end of March and finishing at the end of October.

Sockets are two round pronged and 220 volts (Type C). Universal adaptors are available in most airport shops if you don't have one already. Standard European adapters will work fine, though sometimes they may feel a little loose in the sockets. All hotel rooms have electrical sockets where you can re-charge cameras, phones etc. Hair dryers are normally available on request from the hotel reception if not in your room already. If you have US appliances (110 volts) you will need a voltage converter as well as a plug adapter.

The Turkish lira was re-valued at the end of 2004 to become the ‘New Turkish Lira’. The word ‘New’ has now been dropped, and we are back to ‘Turkish Lira’ again (TRY).

It is normally cheaper to convert money to Turkish Lira in Turkey than at home. Using an ATM or a credit card will often get you the best possible exchange rates; the post and telephone office (PTT) and banks offer very reasonable rates, too. Try to use ATM machines that are attached to banks while they are open, so that if your card is swallowed you can go into the bank and get it released back to you.

It is difficult for us to specify the money that you will spend per day, however, as a general rule USD 20-50 per day can provide you with additional meals, tipping, snacks & drinks. Should you wish to purchase many souvenirs or other luxuries, of which there is a diverse range, you will have to budget for these.

A mixture of cash and credit cards are the best forms of currency. Credit cards are accepted in most restaurants, bars and pubs. MasterCard and Visa are most welcomed; American Express cards work at some ATMs and AmEx offices. Credit cards are also useful for cash advances, which allow you to withdraw Lira instantly from associated banks and ATMs throughout Turkey. Cash cards and ATM’s are widespread in most of Turkey including in Istanbul, Canakkale, Selcuk, Marmaris, Pamukkale, Fethiye, Kas, Cappadocia, and Ankara.

Luggage: Suitcases, rucksacks or fabric holdalls are all fine to bring with you to Turkey. You should also bring a small daypack/bag to take out during the day. Your main luggage will normally be left in the hotel during your sightseeing trips – you will not need to carry it far, and there are nearly always hotel porters to assist.

Luggage limits: There is no luggage limit for this tour. However, most airlines restrict you to between 20kg and 25kg for your hold luggage and between 5kg and 10kg for hand luggage. Please check with your airline before travelling to the airport.

Clothing: Turkey’s climate changes drastically, with cold winters and hot summers. In western Turkey from late March to May, spring brings with it average temperatures of around 15C, though the weather does gradually warm up with sunny days interspersed with rain showers. From May to the end of October, the climate is hot and sunny, getting cooler as the year progresses. In Central Turkey around Cappadocia, the climate is cold with regular snowfalls from the end of November until late February. With spring the weather warms and the snow disappears altogether, though it still remains cold at night and first thing in the morning. Summer starts from May onwards, with temperature reaching around the mid 30’s. The East of Turkey from late May has warmed up considerably, and stays hot until late September with sunny days, but the night time temperatures start to drop. By the end of October you can expect the first of the winter snows. So you must pack for cool and potentially wet conditions late in the year. Modesty rates highly in some parts of Turkey, especially for women and in the East, so please ensure clothes are loose fitting and not too revealing. Loose shorts are OK in tourist sites, as are T-shirts, but these should not show too much bare flesh (your shoulders should remain covered). In Eastern Turkey villages, and any mosques throughout the country, legs and arms should be covered. Attidudes are more relaxed in the seaside resorts.

Other items: We also recommend you bring a sun hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, a basic first aid kit, toiletries, money belt, small torch, camera & charger.

We offer regular departures on this gulet cabin charter cruise between April and October starting on a Saturday. Gulet cruises are extremely popular during the peak summer months and availability is limited so we strongly recommend booking early. Private charters are also available on the same route - please contact us for prices based on your preferred travel dates and the number of people in your party.

ANZAC Day means many different things to different people. To some it is a true memorial service to pay respects to and remember family members or countrymen who lost their lives defending their homeland in World War I, while to others it symbolises a sense of community or belonging to the New Zealand and Australian way of life. For non Anzac nationals it remains a moving and important ceremonial day that brings thoughts of the sacrifices that previous generations have made for us, wherever we may come from.

Whichever may apply to you, this is a very special event that brings together many thousands of people every year on the shores of the Gallipoli peninsular on the western coast of Turkey.

We run special ANZAC day departures on all of our Turkey tours. The standard itineraries for each tour are adjusted slightly on these departures to coincide with the memorial services and to make the most of your time at Gallipoli. These special departures are indicated on the dates & prices table for each tour. Due to demand, group sizes on these dates may increase to a maximum of 45.

All of our ANZAC departures arrive at Gallipoli Cove early in the afternoon on the 24th giving us enough time to visit the museum and secure space for our groups. We then spend the night outdoors at the Cove waiting for the evocative dawn service to start. Afterwards, depending on the makeup of our group, the Australians will head to Lone Pine and the New Zealanders to Chunuk Bair for their country’s individual memorial service. Rest assured though that these special departures are not just about the ANZAC service. They all have their standard itineraries built around the service so you will still get to experience the history, culture and amazing sites that Turkey has to offer.

If you would like to book a place on this tour, please complete the online reservation form on our website (via the Dates & Prices tab on the tour page). You may make a deposit or full payment online, or just hold a reservation if you prefer (full payments are due 8 weeks before departure). We will then contact you with more details about how to complete your booking. Payments may be made by debit or credit card (subject to a card processing fee), or by making a bank transfer, or posting us a cheque/bank draft. Full details will be provided in your booking confirmation email. Please contact us if you would like any more information or have any questions before making a booking.

Travel insurance is compulsory on all of our tours and needs to cover personal accident & liability, medical expenses and repatriation, travel delay & abandonment. We also strongly recommend that you take out cover against cancellation and lost/stolen baggage. Personal medical insurance does not normally provide sufficient cover and is generally not suitable for travel on our tours. You will not be able to join your tour if you have not provided us with details of your insurance or if you arrive without cover in place (no refunds will be due in this event). More information...

You may arrange your own insurance, or you can take advantage of a comprehensive policy that we can arrange for you through Endsleigh Insurance which has been designed to be suitable for our tours. The policy is available to travellers of all nationalities and you do not need to live in the UK  to take out the policy. For full details of cover provided, prices and to apply for one of our policies, please complete travel insurance application form . Note: Any country that borders the Mediterranean is considered as 'Europe' for the purposes of travel insurance (including Turkey, Israel, Egypt and Morocco). If you are doing a tour that visits one country in 'Europe' and one that is 'Worldwide' (for example, an Egypt and Jordan tour), then you need a 'Worldwide' policy. When completing the form you should enter your travel dates including any extra days involved in overnight flights or connecting travel between your home and the tour. Our policies are not able to cover any extra time or activities other than your tour and options booked with us and your travel to & from home.

Note - to comply with insurance sales regulations, our travel insurance policies are only available to customers booking directly with us. If you have booked through a travel agent you will need to arrange your own insurance.

If your tour includes car hire, ior if you plan to arrange a hot air balloon flight locally or do some scuba diving during your tour, you should check the small print in your policy to make sure these are covered (these are covered in our policy). Please also check the maximum altitude that you will be reaching and that full cover including emergency evacuation is provided up to this altitude.

If you are taking expensive camera gear or other electronic equipment with you then please check the coverage and the fine print of your policy to ensure that you have sufficient cover.

IMPORTANT:  We must have your travel insurance details (policy number and type of insurance) before you depart or you may not be allowed to join the tour.  If you haven't told us already, please let us know the details when you can. You should take a paper copy of your insurance policy with you as you may be asked to show this at the start of the tour.

Covid-19 Before purchasing any travel insurance, please check the coverage provided for situations related to Covid-19, and for the rules about government travel advice. Your normal policy may not be suitable. Details about our own policies cover levels are given on our website .

It is impossible not to have an impact on the local environment, cultures and eco-systems when you travel. However, it is very possible to try and ensure that these impacts are as limited, or positive as possible. We are committed to ensuring that we try to leave our host countries in a better state than we found them and encourage and assist our travellers to help us with this. The following are a few simple tips that require very little effort on your part but which will help ensure that any effect you have on the locations you visit is positive rather than negative.

  • Don't prejudge: Things in different countries will almost certainly be different. That doesn't make them worse or inferior, just different.
  • Communicate: Don't expect locals to speak your language. Take the trouble to learn a few words or phrases of the local language. Don't worry about sounding silly. Most locals are patient and accommodating and appreciate you making the effort to communicate in their language.
  • Conserve energy: Be careful not to waste valuable resources. Use local resources sparingly. Switch off lights, air-conditioning and fans when you leave the hotel room and don't waste water. Remove superfluous packaging. Many countries have far less efficient waste disposal systems than ours. Remove packaging from newly acquired items before leaving home.
  • Don't litter: No matter how untidy or dirty the country you're travelling in may look to you, avoid littering, as there is no need to add to the environment's stress. Many of the countries we visit have a tough challenge dealing with rubbish and waste. Please consider taking home as much plastic waste as you can (e.g. water bottles).
  • Choose environmentally friendly products: By using environmentally friendly (bio degradable) sun creams, shampoos and detergents you can help reduce pollution.
  • Respect local customs and traditions: As you are a guest in these countries, you should also comply with the local customs. If you are friendly and well mannered, the locals will reciprocate and it will only enhance your experience. It's important to follow dress and behaviour guidelines especially when visiting religious or sacred sites (your tour leader will advise you how best to do this).
  • If a client commits an illegal act the client may be excluded from the tour and Encounters Travel shall cease to have responsibility to/for them. No refund will be given for any unused services.

All porters are employed and equipped following guidelines set by the International Porter Protection Group (IPPG).

You can stay in touch with us online by following us on Facebook and Twitter. We post updates on relevant travel news in our destination countries, special offers and discounts and other interesting travel related news and information. www.facebook.com/encounterstravel www.twitter.com/encounterstravl (yes, without the 'e')

It is important when considering and preparing to travel anywhere in the world that you have a good understanding of the country you are visiting, its laws and customs, and the possible risks and situations that may occur. This includes specific risks related to your itinerary (eg. does it involve water & can you swim, are you fit enough for the activities included), as well as more general risks such as terrorism and natural disasters.

General details and links to more information about health risks, visa requirements, money, and travel insurance are given in these tour notes. We recommend that you re-read all these before your departure as well as the small print of your travel insurance policy so you know exactly what is covered and what is not.

You should take copies of your important travel documents with you and ideally also store them online securely as a backup. Make sure that you have given us your emergency contact details and told that person where and when you are travelling. Ensure you take enough money with you and that you have access to emergency funds.

Finally, you should read through and stay updated with the current official government travel advice for your destination. We are registered partners with the UK Foreign Office's 'Travel Aware' campaign which provides further useful and invaluable information.

Fethiye Turkey is one of the Southern Cities located on the Turkish Riviera coastline. It is one of the major active ports along the Aegean sea, and one of the main ports of call for the Gulet cruises in the region. As a traveler, you will love the range of food especially fresh fish foods, clear beaches, entertainment, and activities that you can do will visiting Fethiye. The city combines the best of the old and new, and it has some of the best preserved traditional Turkish homes and streets in its old town area.

Oludeniz, Fethiye

Fethiye City guide

There are three main sections of the city and they all radiate out from the Fethiye port. The port area is active with commercial and recreational yachts. In the early morning hours a market forms on the port docks and streets that features the fresh fruits and fish brought in, but also the traditional Turkish vendors making it an ideal place to get breakfast. Step back from the port and you will find the business district, radiating out from there are the older parts of the city. You will find markets, cafes, restaurants, shops and historic buildings scattered throughout. Towards the mountains on the edge it gets more residential and agrarian. In each of the areas there are museums that cover everything from archaeological explorations to oceanic and sea-faring culture.

Gulet cruises out of Fethiye

One of the best things about Fethiye is it is the start and end point of many of the best Gulet charters around. Whether you are planning on taking a shared Gulet , private yacht , or planning on sailing your own – all boats come to Fethiye. You will find the right cruise for you, and the right stock to make sure that you have everything you need to enjoy your time exploring the islands and the sea. Gocek, where located 20 min. away from Fethiye, is an alternative departure point for gulet tours.

Highlights of the city

What you should sure of to see in the city are the evening entertainments offered at several of the best restaurants. You will experience some of the best cuisine, followed by music and dance that explores traditional Turkish culture, and its modern versions. There are many historical sites to explore as well. One of the most interesting places to visit is the Museum of Sea-faring Culture. As different traders have come to this port city, they left behind their cultural influence on the local architecture, food and arts. The museum tracks all of this and is fascinating.

What does the city offer to travelers?

Fethiye has a lot to offer travelers. Whether your interest is in the history of the city and area, or if you are looking for more modern enjoyments, you will find a bit of everything in here. It is primarily a city of the sea, with active ports and markets; but it also has castles, shops and stores that celebrate the diverse nature of the city that comes with being a port of call. There are many excellent places to stay, restaurants to dine at, markets to shop – and you can even choose to stay aboard a native Gulet instead. Fethiye Turkey has some of the best weather, best things to see – all without the crowded feel of being a vacation hot spot.

Our driver Mujo was extremely professional the bus was clean and comfortable every day . The hotels were in great locations and very comfortable. Except for the hotel Mediterra in Antalya it was extremely noisy the staff had ZERO interest in the guests. I recommend it changed. Every day has been a highlight on this holiday. • BTwilltravel 0 contributions 5.0 of 5 bubbles Fantastic vacation to Turkey Outstanding trip to Turkey! We planned a customized tour of Turkey, featuring major archaeological sites. Fez Travel was wonderful to work with, very flexible with our desire to visit a large number of sites. Our tour guide Fatma in Capadoccia was great, very informative and helpful. We spent 10 days with Temar Fez as our guide, and driver Hakan and it far exceeded our expectations. We flew in a day early (last minute adjustment due to weather in our state and we didn't want to miss any of our tour) and Fez was able to arrange a hotel for us in Istanbul as well as our transportation. We started our tour in Capadocia, seeing Esentepe, Uchisar Castle, Goreme Open air museum, Pasabag fairy chimneys and Devrent Valley. We took the early morning balloon ride which was wonderful. We also visited Red Valley and Pigeon Valley, Cavusin Village and Avanos town. Our favorite in Capadocia was the underground city. (We spent 4 days there, and in hind site would have been ok with 2 days.) We then flew to Antalya and the archaeological fun really began! We visited Aspendos, and Perge, where we were only a handful of tourist at the entire site. The next day we did Temessos and Sagalassos, which were both outstanding, and again we felt like we had the sites all to ourselves. Temar did an amazing job even though the weather was foggy, then freezing rain, we were still able to hike both sites. Then it was on to Pamukkale and Hierapolis. Pamukkale was a bit crowded, but very few tourist walk around Hierapolis. Then it was on to Laodicea and Aphrodisias which were both amazing. At Laodicea, other than a group of guides being trained, we were the only tourist there. Next it was on to Bodrum where we visited the Underwater Museum, Mynodos Kapisi and Pedasa. Next we went to Ephesus where there were tons of tourists, and honestly after the other fabulous sites, was not one of our favorites. Next we went to Troy, Acropolis Pergamon, then back to Istanbul.,and get dinner. A standout was our hotel in Bodrum, the Marmara Bodrum, and our favorite was the Nisanyan Hotel in Sirince. We felt safe and well taken care of for our entire trip. Thank you Fez Travel, Fatma, Temar and Hakan. Read more Written 22 March 2024

The experience, knowledge and sound common sense of our guide, Can Kocak, made the week enormously enjoyable. We’re already planning our next Turkish adventure with these two pros in charge. Read more Written 17 March 2024

The crew was professional and knowledgeable, and the boat was comfortable with stunning views of the Turkish coastline. The chef prepared delicious meals, and the team went above and beyond to accommodate special requests. I highly recommend SAILNSTAY for an unforgettable Sail Turkey adventure. • Gemalista 0 contributions 5.0 of 5 bubbles Fantastic Tour! What an amazing tour!!!!! You will not be disappointed!! My cousin and I had such a lovely day. I especially enjoyed the fact that this is a small boat with only 8 people including the captain Ozden and his lovely wife Fitnat. Be sure to have your bathing suit because you will have lots of time to swim in beautiful turquoise waters. We listened to Turkish music and all of us just danced and came together as if we had been friends forever. Such a warm atmosphere created by out hosts. The tour continued by bus to the jaw-dropping Rock Tombs of Myra and 5th century B.C. Amphitheatre. It was a long fun-filled day! If I return to Turkey I will definitely do this tour again!!! Shoutout to Ozden, Fitnat and our bus driver for making this day so memorable!!! Read more Written December 3, 2023
  • MikeWiggins1 0 contributions 3.0 of 5 bubbles ok but should be improved - needs better English translation It was amazing seeing turtles close up. The staff were friendly and helpful. The boat was good. Unfortunately a few things let it down: The instructions to find the boat weren't clear, so we struggled to do so. The staff had poor English and it was obvious that the turkish language commentary was far more detailed and interesting than the very limited English explanations and with it being explained in both languages, we had already passed quite a few things before we heard what we were supposed to be looking out for. The music was so loud that we had to raise our voices to talk to each other - we asked to turn it down and they refused. This really spoiled our time - we're not there for a beach party, we wanted to enjoy a relaxing cruise as a family, with other families. We weren't alone in this - the moment the music went on as many people as possible tried to move as far away from the speakers as possible. I hope the organisers read this and turn it down. The food was quite poor and the atmosphere spoiled by the way it was served. Overcooked, lukewarm - overcooked mushy pasta is really unpleasant to eat so my family wanted to not take any and take something else instead but we were ordered to put it back. We were told there would be water available, but when we asked there wasn't. The instructions were poor - we nearly missed the turtles because someone near us said we had to rush off the boat quickly to get to the shore to go up a river to have any chance of seeing them. That was misinformation as the people who stayed on the boat had 5 turtles swimming around them the whole time whereas we saw one in the distance, but thankfully did at least see them for a couple of minutes around the boat before we set off again. We were told there was amazing snorkelling. We were told when to put our masks on - but we saw hardly any fish, and those we did see were small and not bright colours. However, whilst these improvements could easily and should be made, we are still glad we did the cruise. The turtles were amazing to see. I'm sure Kokova submerged city would have been even better if we'd had a proper translation. The food was edible. The crew were generally helpful. We created our own fun jumping in the sea off rocks. This trip could very easily have been so much better, with very little extra effort and no extra cost. Cooking the pasta for less time saves money. Good translation would bring you more customers. After receiving confirmation emails and details for the tour we booked flights and accommodation to then be told that they had overbooked the tour and we could not go. No alternative was offered and despite saying “yes of course we will give you a refund” and then when chased “we will give you a refund in next months pay cycle” and then 8 weeks later just no reply at all. • peggycM6998JU 0 contributions 2.0 of 5 bubbles Bait and Switch Sorry to say, our 8 day Sail Turkey: Lycian Coast Cruise Tour wasn't what was advertised. We had scheduled our trip expecting our own cabin and bath on a 60+ foot gulet, but when we arrived to the harbor, after having traveled thousands of miles for the experience, we were told that the other clients were not able to make the trip and that the company had substituted a much smaller boat. A boat that's cabins were so small, that we couldn't stay in the cabin with our luggage at the same time and our "private bath" was shared with the crew. Although the captain and his wife were very nice, the boat was so small that we felt as though we were intruding on their home, not vacationing on a deluxe cruiser. We felt so uncomfortable about the situation that we left the cruise midweek at the next available port and had to improvise the rest of our vacation at an added expense. I truly wish that the company had let us know ahead of time about the change in the boat provided and allowed us to change our plans. But they hadn't ,and they have taken our monies for the trip with no compensation for the shortcomings. Needless to say... a very disappointing and expensive lesson on booking with this company. Sail Turkey: Gulet cruise Fethiye to Olympos provided by SAILNSTAY

Fethiye – Antalya

Fethiye Bay, Turkey

Day 1 – Fethiye

Start your Turkey gulet trip in the laid-back city of Fethiye, site of ancient Telmessos. Explore this 2000-year-old site by visiting the huge Tomb of Amyntas or touring the excellent Fethiye museum. Or, if relaxing is your thing, why not try a Hamam at the famous Old Turkish Bath.

Day 2 – Butterfly Valley – Ölüdeniz – Gemiler Island

Butterfly Valley is simply breath-taking. Sapphire waters are sheltered by steep valleys as if they are trying to protect this beauty from the outside world. Drop anchor and plunge into the pristine seas. Your boat then sets sail to Ölüdeniz where you can swim or kayak around the peaceful lagoon. Your boat then sets sail to Gemiler Island, a beautiful spot famed for churches built between the fourth and sixth centuries. It’s also known as St Nicholas Island because of the belief that it was the location of the original tomb of St Nicholas (that’s Father Christmas to you and me!)

Day 3 – Kaputaş Beach – Yeşilköy

Kaputaş Beach is the place you’ll see on most Visit Turkey adverts: sapphire sea, white sand and dramatic cliffs, it’s reminiscent of the pristine beach of the Maldives. After a dip in the crystal clear waters, your next stop is the beautiful and peaceful Yeşilköy.

Day 4 – Kekova

Kekova is the base for exploring Üçağız Cove, home to one of the most intriguing of ancient sites in Turkey. Due to an earthquake the ancient city of Apollonia (Dolchiste) is now 2 metres under water. Explore Turkey’s famous sunken city as well as some stunning, partially submerged Lycian tombs. And as if that wasn’t enough, Üçağız Cove is a prime turtle spotting territory.

Day 5 – Olympos

Olympos

Day 6 – Antalya

The main city of the Turkish Riviera, this stop is a great opportunity to explore the cultural richness of modern-day Turkey and the historical sites of the region. Antalya is home to some of the best modern restaurants in the country. Swot up on the history of the region in the wonderful Antalya Museum or get soaked, scrubbed and massaged at one of the many great Hamams (Turkish Bath).

Day 7 – Kemer

Kemer is one of the greenest holiday resorts in the south of Turkey. Surrounded by pine forests and set at the foot of the Taurus Mountains, it’s one of the most popular spots for nature walk lovers. Stretch your legs and stock up on fresh mountain air.

Day 8 – Porto Ceneviz – Phaselis (Tekirova)

Enjoy the peace and seclusion of Porto Ceneviz (or Genoese). Soak up the sun on deck and plunge into the clear water. Later in the day your captain will take you along the coast, where you can opt to visit the stunning ruins of Phaselis or enjoy the stunning beach and sea at Tekirova.

Day 9 – Adrasan – Finike

Kemer

Day 10 – Gökkaya Cove – Demre (Myra)

You’ll spend the morning in the quiet and stunning Gökkaya Cove. After which, your boat will set sail to Demre, the ancient city of Myra. Home of St Nicholas (yes, Santa Claus is Turkish), Myra was one of the most important cities of ancient Lycia. Explore the Byzantine St Nicholas of Myra church or the rock tombs further in land.

Day 11 – Kaş

One of the pearls of the Mediterranean, Kaş is a charming town that’s both tranquil and very stylish. Reminiscent of a French village, enjoy the winding lanes, the Bougainvillea covered buildings and a host of excellent cafes and restaurants.

Day 12 – Kalkan

Kalkan

Day 13 – Turunçpınarı – Samanlık Cove

A day of sun, sea and seclusion. Enjoy the natural setting and sounds of birdsong as you swim and relax on deck in the beautiful coves of Turunçpınarı and Samanlık.

Day 14 – Kızılada

Spend the day swimming in the turquoise coves of Kızılada (Red Island), so called because of the colour of the beach at sunset. A final day of complete relaxation and a chance to reflect on the amazing journey you’ve just taken.

Day 15 – Fethiye

After enjoying a leisurely breakfast, you’ll disembark at 10am with an air relaxation and head full of memories from the boat cruise of a lifetime.

Our History

You live the dream. we take care of it.

We are a family business. My wife and I met whilst we were both studying economics at the prestigious Dokuz Eylul University of Izmir, Turkey. During the summer holidays, I started providing boat trips on my family’s boat in Kas and I was hooked. There was no going back! Straight after graduation I decided to follow my passion for boating and I have had no regrets. Fortunately my wife also has a deep love for the sea and is an essential member of our crew.

What customer say.

What an amazing day with Captain Ergun and his crew! I booked a private tour on a very nice and spacious gulet and to our surprise we were 'upgraded' to a huge boat that could hold up to 100 people 🤩! They had two private tours going out that day so we were the lucky ones that got the HUGE boat. There were 5 of us and 5 crew. We relaxed, swam, snorkeled, visited ruins of an ancient city, had one of the most amazing meals and swam to Big Pebble Beach! Definitely our best day in Kas 🇹🇷!

Awesome day at sea in Kas!

We have done a lot in Turkey – the amazing buildings in Istanbul, Konak Pier in Izmir, Cesme Beach, Bergama and Efes ruins, fantastic fish market food in Fethiye, Oludeniz Beach/Blue Lagoon, Patara Beach but the day we spent with Ergun and his wife has been the highlight. Lovely, knowledgeable, obliging hosts. I can’t rate this highly enough. Only 6 people on the cruise.. Thanks Captain Ergun – let us know when you have an espresso machine and a masseur on board and we’ll be back in a flash!

Day boat cruise from Kas Marina

This was an absolutely magical experience. We ventured in February, so we didn't swim or snorkel. But we basically had a whole boat to ourselves. All the positive reviews are true: Cpt. Ergun answered all of our questions and showed us the most beautiful hidden bays and ancient ruins. He shared some fascinating history facts about the area and then let us enjoy the view on our own. What is more, Cpt. Ergun took breathtaking photographs using his drone and kindly sent them to us. Lastly, we had a top-notch lunch on the boat, masterfully cooked by the deck officer Ali. I knew that lunch was included in the itinerary, but I had not expected a proper feast! It was delicious! This boat trip is the one to remember. Definitely would recommend it everyone!

I can not say enough good things about Captain Ergun and first mate (wife) Merve. They are the best! They know the area and are so kind and considerate. They will show you why Turkey is known for its hospitality. Their boat, the Evita, is gorgeous and perfect for the gorgeous waters surrounding Kas.The offer day trips and week long trips. I can not wait to go on the boat again. They are the best!

4-day Split to Dubrovnik One-way Cruise - Classic Plus above-deck, 20-35s

If you like to party, this tour is for you. If you do not like to party, this tour is NOT for you. Overall, great tour. Got to go to all the locations and see everything I wanted to. Everyday, breakfast is served with hot cheesy eggs, cold cuts, coffee (instant) fruit, oats, bread. Lunch is always 4 courses; salad bread, carbs, hot meat and veggies, and then dessert. BBQ was great: save room for chicken wings! Every night, happy hour from 9-10:30pm. Drinks were a good deal here but generally expensive on the boat. Happy hour involves loud house music. If you like that, great. If you want to sleep…this is not the trip for you. Cocktails on the ship are made weakly. Barely any alcohol, which they may do on purpose. I did not like the beer, a bit hoppy, but others enjoyed it. The first day we start with a 3 hour trip after lunch to get to the first location. Markska. Small town to grab dinner and drinks. Cute. I went to a wine bar and a great restaurant that has no menus bc the fish is caught daily! It’s called Kalalarga. The wine bar was Spina bar. The second day we were off to Mljet National Park. Nothing to do there except go to the park. I really enjoyed the kayaks. Seemed too hot to hike or bike. Then we were off to Spian. Do the BBQ, as there are very very very limited food options here. BBQ was great: save room for chicken wings! Sunset was good. Final day was Dubrovnik. Not much to do here. Do a walking tour and/or buggies. Cruise can arrange them on whatever days you like. I liked the walking tour a lot! Easy way to see all the sights. Again, great trip for groups, solo travellers. Not really couples or families. This trip is for folks who want to stay up late and party. All this said, i loved the trip. However, I believe there was a lot of misbehavior ignored or unbeknownst to the crew. Happy to get in touch with GoCroatiaSail separately about this.

Scenic Montenegro Cruise Tour

Scenic Montenegro Cruise

We just arrived home from our 7 day sailing trip with 16 of our closest friends and family. I can't say enough good things about Alexandra, her husband, the crew, or the rest of the DM yachting staff. Our trip was magical to say the least. The included breakfast, lunch, and dinner meals were delicious and the drinks we purchased from the bar were well priced. The alcohol we purchased on the boat was less expensive when compared to any of the port restaurants by a significant margin. Also, I'd like to especially highlight the professionalism of Alexandra and her husband who personally helped us and went above and beyond to make sure we were accommodated through a surprise incident where we needed temporarily evacuate the boat. They organized for us to stay at a very nice resort, treated us to meals at that hotel, and kept us informed throughout the process.. While we enjoyed the unplanned visit to this resort, we were happy to return to the boat and continue our adventure through Montenegro. My wife and I hope to book with them again knowing that no matter what unplanned event may possibly happen, they will work to ensure you have a beautiful vacation. Thank you so much!

We enjoyed the tour a lot! There were some initial problems with my dietary requirements, which I requested during booking, but that was solved quickly. The food (lunch) was surprisingly good. We had wanted more swim stops, the amount of time spent in the individual port was good. Luna is a great guide and the crew overall was super friendly and professional. Olympos/Demre to Gokkaya Bay

After you are picked up from your accommodation in Olympos, there will be an additional pick-up service in Demre before you head to the yacht moored at Demre Harbour. We will then begin our journey towards Turtle Beach, where you will have the opportunity to swim and observe 5 out of the 8 types of turtles found in the Mediterranean in their natural habitat.

In the afternoon, we will sail the Sunken City of Kekova, a UNESCO World Heritage Site we can explore as your captain slowly cruises above. From here, we’ll continue to visit Simena Castle. Take in the sweeping views across the coastline as you wander through the picturesque fishing village at its base, then re-board the Gulet as we cruise towards Pirate Cave. Here, we will anchor for the evening at Gokkaya Bay.

Accommodation: Turkish Gulet Meals: Lunch, Five o’clock tea, Dinner

Kekova to Kas

We’ll begin the day with a short cruise to Kas, including a stop to go swimming before we pull into the harbour. You’ll have the morning to explore this charming town at your leisure, with plenty of handicraft stores and souvenir shops to discover. Wander along the cobblestone streets or watch the world go by from one of the local cafes. Most of our customers enjoy having lunch in Kas town. In the afternoon, we offer a Cooking Class on board where you can learn how to make Turkish Cheese Rolls and pancakes. You can then enjoy brunch with what you have cooked in the Cooking Class.

In the afternoon, we will depart Kas and continue towards Firnaz Bay, where we will anchor for the evening.

Kas to St Nicholas Island

While you are busy sleeping, your crew will wake early to begin the longest leg of the journey, from Firnaz Bay to Butterfly Valley. On arrival, you can enjoy a leisurely breakfast before refreshing with a swim or taking a stroll through the valley to spot some of its myriad butterfly species.

From Butterfly Valley, we will cruise past the photogenic beach of Oludeniz and moor near the idyllic Blue Lagoon. Enjoy another refreshing swim or take the opportunity to go paragliding off the mountain of Baba Dag, which is considered one of the best places in the world to enjoy this thrilling activity.

Afterward, we’ll continue to St. Nicholas Island where you’ll have time to explore the ruins and climb to the top of the island to experience an incredible sunset.

Yes, you can change your departure date, depending on availability. A small fee will apply and, if the new departure date is more expensive, this difference will also need to be paid. You may also transfer the money you have already paid over to another trip of the same or higher value, provided it is outside of the notification period.

What are the boats like on the sail trips?

All of our vessels are traditional gulet yachts, which are constructed in Southern Turkey. These two or three-masted sailing vessels have everything you need, including ensuite cabins, a chef’s kitchen, dining areas and mattresses on the deck if you prefer to sleep under the stars.

Is there enough room for my luggage?

To ensure you have enough room to move around your cabin, we recommend you bring a small to medium-sized suitcase or backpack.

Can I bring my own alcohol on boat?

Due to boat licensing laws, you are not able to bring your own alcohol on the vessel. However, well-priced drinks are available for you to purchase on board using a tab system, which needs to be paid the day you check-out.

What included food do we get whilst on the sail?

On all of our gulet cruises, we offer a traditional Turkish breakfast, a vegetarian lunch, afternoon tea, and dinner, which are included in the price. We offer Jain, Vegetarian, Vegan, Halal and Kosher food options on request. You are welcome to bring extra snacks for the journey. Drinks can only be purchased on board on a tab basis, paid on the day you disembark.

Can I bring my own food and drink on board?

Unfortunately, you are not allowed to bring your own drinks on board (including water) but you can bring your own snacks, such as peanuts, crisps, biscuits etc.

Can I pay for my bar tab by credit card?

Bar Payments: Please keep in mind that you will need to have cash available to cover any expenses at the bar during the trip. The bar payments will be settled on the final day of the journey. It is possible that there won’t be any ATMs available at the ports, so it is best to plan accordingly. However, do not worry about withdrawing cash at the outset as there are ATMs in Kas Port town that will become accessible on the second day of the journey.

Are there any power sockets on board?

Some boats have power sockets in the cabins while other vessels only have them only in the salon area. The power sockets can be used when the engine or generator is on.

Are there towels provided on board?

Beach Towels not provided: Please be advised that we do not provide beach towels on board. We kindly request that you bring your own towels for use at the beach. While bath towels are available, they should not be used for the beach. Please note that shops selling towels are easily found in every town throughout Turkey.

Air Condition Limits

Gulet boats have limited energy resources, which is why it’s recommended to limit the use of air conditioning to 4-6 hours per day. This will help conserve fuel and optimize the efficiency of the boat. It will also extend the lifespan of the generator and support eco-friendly practices by relying on natural ventilation. Running the generator at night can be quite noisy and disruptive to other passengers. Therefore, it’s important to strike a balance between guest comfort and environmental responsibility.
