Yachtclub in Livonia is something special. Great food - cold beer and beautiful waitresses. It is good for lunch and dinner. The waitresses are very friendly and you get always a good view.

Don't let the name fool you.this it's not your typical "yacht club." Somewhere between Hooters and a sports bar. The waitresses all wear very skimpy bikinis and make it hard to concentrate on the games on tv....very hard. Pretty basic beer choices, nothing fancy. Great... views both inside and outside. Had a steak..was pretty basic, but good. Go for the fun... More

This place was pretty cool and the staff was awesome. There was a great drink selection and the bar type food was really good as well. The relaxed atmosphere and easy going waitresses make this a great place to frequent.

I am a married women who has been to this place many times. The food is very good. I love the mushroom swiss burger with the pretzel bun. Have never had a bad meal here. Recently, someone complained to the city about the wardrobe of... the waitstaff, so they've had to tone down their attire. My opinion -- there are plenty of places to eat, if you don't like to see women in bikinis, go elsewhere. If you have an open mind and are curious, the staff is friendly, the food is good and the view of Newburgh lake is nice. More

Decided to grab some food with a friend of mine. The place smelled, horrible service, and unclean. Our waitress wasn't pleasant; I did not feel welcomed and couldn't wait to leave. The food was ok. My experience with the staff members was the main reason... for the low review. More

The food is local sports bar with a twist. The wait staff are friendly and VERY NICE for the eye. I haven't had anything that I didn't like. Especially the HILLBILLY soup. Large variety of draft beer at reasonable price.

You can get a nice lunch or quick dinner the average bar and grill fair. The food is good but the interesting part is waitresses are dressed in bikinis. Most of them look good in bikinis. The service is good and the atmosphere is nice.

Asked for a water and the waitress came back with a normal bottled water. When my bill came after drinking and eating they had charged me $6.50 for two waters. That's the last time I'll ever step foot in there. Food was ok, service was... below average but really don't understand why I couldn't just get a water with my meal. More

First time I went here in about a year. It used to be a great place for a quick drink, decent food, and (let's face it) some eye candy. In case you haven't been here before, the gimic is the waitresses wear bikinis or other... very revealing attire. (More on that later.) Atmostphere is a dive bar with a patio. Not a bad thing at all. I quite enjoy them. Some people might find it dark. Food was pretty good in the past when I have visited, now is just average, at best. Bar food is generally hard to screw up, and they didn't.... there was just nothing that would draw you back. Drink prices are somewhat high, but they have a decent beer selection and give you a pretty good pour on liquor. Eye candy: This may come off as a little sexist, but since the gimic of this place is girls in bikinis, here goes. The 'talent' level has dropped off considerably. It may be the opening of some of the other similar places in town that drew away the better looking waitresses. (Tilted Kilt, Bar Louies, Hooters,etc) It is VERY noticable. It went from "wow, they are hot" in the past to "I wish she would cover up." this trip. I could have gotten a bad day, but there were 10 waitresses there and none of them were that attractive. More

It's a Hooters wannabe. Didn't know the story on the place before going there. Cheap thrill seekers will love it. Food OK, but c'mon. Really? You're not going there for the view of Lake Newburgh. To each his own.

Thursday is business lunch at Yacht Club. The food is very delicious and suprinsingly not overpriced. The location and atmosphere is just great. Right at the lake and bikini-clad women. My advice: Leave your girl at home! Two points of criticism: - the place is... mostly very crowed and then you are sandwiched between other people - some guests behave like a bull in the china shop and start pawing etc. - !!!Vicarious embarrassment!!! This place blows Hooters away with its hot bikini clad waitresses and great bar food. Beautiful location right on a lake with an outdoor deck. Plus did I mention the hot wait staff. Great for a business lunch.

Friendly servers in very comfortable attire. Makes me feel like I'm on a beach vacation. This is sort of a gentlemen's environment.

This is my fav hotspot for weekends. Nice crowd turns in during weekends. They run good Weekends offers and weekday offers too. I like their antique collection , decorated over ceiling. Visit once and you will come back again. I bet !

Good service, cook got the order wrong but server corrected. Beer more expensive than other places in the area and will charge you the price of a beer for a Coke.

We stopped in for dinner. Good food with reasonable prices and out waitress took good care of us. We will be stopping in again the next time we are in the area.

Interesting place. Is it trying to be a Hooters or a strip club? Kinda of confusing? If you enjoy eating while looking at semi nude women. This is your place.

Always the best. I've been coming here since the 90's and I moved back home from Nashville to revisit... So cool and just as good!

I will show my age, LOL. I remember this being Parkside bar MANY years ago. My ex and his coworkers dubbed this the yacht club. It wasn't pretty back then. Even had a dirt floor in some areas. Well it has since taken on a whole new life! Good cocktails. The wait staff, so so. The girls could be a little more humble. They're all about themselves. I didn't order food but the pizza looked really good. It seemed to be the popular choice amongst the customers. I would go back!

I had the chicken fajitas. It came out on 2 plates, the first was 3 soft shells, and toppings, second was a piping hot plate of chicken, peppers, and onions. It was delicious! Waitress was friendly, food served fast. will return with wife soon!

This piece of history come from our owners mother glady's secret recipe. A tomato based soup loaded with potato, ground beef, mixed vegetable and a love for cooking that you can taste.

Yacht Club Chili

All salad served with a dinner roll and butter. Dressing - our homemade ranch, raspberry vinaigrette, Italian, blue cheese, 1000 Island, Greek, honey mustard, Caesar balsamic vinegar and vinegar and oil.

Julienne ham, turkey, Swiss and American cheese on a fresh bed of mixed greens garnished with a hard boiled egg.

Served in our freshly made tortilla bowl. Mixed green topped with seasoned beef tomato green pepper, jalapeno, onion, black olives and cheddar cheese.

Where is Indian Lake?

Indian Lake is in Logan County, about 70 miles northwest of Columbus.

How big is Indian Lake?

The lake is about 5,100 acres, making it the third largest lake in Ohio, behind Grand Lake St. Marys (13,500 acres) in Auglaize and Mercer counties and Mosquito Creek Lake (7,850 acres) in Trumbull County, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources. In addition, Pymatuning Reservoir, which straddles Ohio and Pennsylvania, covers 14,000 acres.

Is Indian Lake natural?

Indian Lake is man-made. According to the ODNR , it began in 1851 as "Old Indian Lake," a feeder lake for the Miami & Erie Canal. A bulkhead completed in 1860 allowed the lake, then called Lewiston Reservoir, to grow to more than 6,300 acres. Although Indian Lake is very shallow, with an average depth of 6 feet, it has largely been spared the algae that has stained other Ohio lakes because of the Indian Lake Watershed Project, established in the 1990s to keep the water clean.

How many people live on Indian Lake?

About 1,300 people live in the lake's largest town, Russells Point, and another 1,200 live down the road in Lakeview, both on the lake's southern shore. Hundreds more live around the lake, many of them in seasonal trailer parks and campgrounds, making the area vulnerable to storms.

What is Indian Lake best known for?

For decades, an amusement park and dance halls along the lake's southern rim drew visitors from miles around and provided the lake's nickname, the "Midwest's Million Dollar Playground." The last bits of the amusement park were torn down in the early 1980s; only the I ndian Lake Rollarena in Russells Point provides a hint of the lake's entertainment past.

No. The Cowsills' 1968 Top 10 hit "Indian Lake" is thought to be based on a lake in Upstate New York.

What is housing like around Indian lake?

Much of Indian Lake's homes remain trailers in campgrounds, especially on the north and west sides of the lake. But a growing number of large new homes have been built on the lake this century, especially on the lake's multiple islands and eastern shore. Many of the older, modest homes still sell under $100,000, but newer homes can command more than half a million dollars. The lake's real-estate landed it a spot on the HGTV shows "Island Life" and "Island Hunters."

What impact did the storms have on the lake's state park?

The ODNR has closed Indian Lake State Park, on the west side of the lake, until further notice. "ODNR staff and other emergency crews will assess the impact of the storm and reevaluate the status of the park later today," the department posted Friday . The 8,400-acre park is one of Ohio's four original state parks, created in 1949.
